One of their trucks was weaving in and out of traffic in a school zone near Goodwin , then when cars passed them they beeped and started yelling at other people, they then stop in the middle of the road to get food at the bodega. If that’s who they hire why would you ever use this company.

We worked with Chris J (Estimator) and Jesse M (Project Manager) to recover from the aftermath of our house fire. Chris and Jesse were great at taking us through the process so that we knew what to expect. They did everything to simplify and expedite the recovery /reconstruction. In addition, the team folks doing the work were very helpful and professional. Thanks to Bill and crew (expert painting), Roman (many talents), and so many others. Jesse did an excellent job coordinating all the activities and keeping us well informed. Many thanks, highly recommended.

I can’t say enough thanks to Chris Judd and Jesse, they two amazing guys when I say amazing I mean amazing!! They both went above and beyond to help us get our house back together and even better after the water damage that was done to our home. I write this review having lived in the house they built since 2007 after my house burned down and was rebuilt. At the time I was as an early teen (12-13) and had no understanding in the way things worked in this world. Fast forward 10 years later 2017 and I am not a young adult in high school helping out where I can...and can i say it was constant...doors, door knobs, p traps under the sink, the garage door install (the motor is mounted in drywall not a stud causing the weight of the door to be supported by drywall leading it to break several times), leaks in the roof (I can see literal daylight through several holes in the roof from inside the attic). Another major standout is the drywall jobs. Almost every point on the ceiling where two drywall boards meet, the tape is OBVIOUSLY showing.....terrible job in concealment in either prep or the application of the drywall compound....BOTTTOM LINE.........CHECK THE WORK WHILE BEING DONE. To re-establish....I am doing a review in the home I grew up in. Now, throughout the years I'd like to think I have become a jack of all trades (master of none) including running a hardware store...After I got older and took a look back, I realized the house I moved back into after it burned down WAS NOT built to last(in comparison to relative homes built during). I implore you to do your research and heavily weigh the reviews of each business as I am taking my time to review this one... I cannot condemn this company for the work they did (since I was a child during the construction phase), but I can question the quality. Currently I am giving this a VERY generous review of 2 out of 5 stars.. You may ask why I gave this such a low score....Well the answer is simple....cost/benefit analysis....Well.....the amount of replacing broken fixtures and technicians to solve a variety of problems shouldn't exist on a BRAND NEW home. If constantly having a DIY job around the corner then Kapura is for you!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I had water damage in my condo and Mr Kapura took on my project. Jesse, the PM, was a pleasure to work with. He was professional, polite and came through for me. He kept me updated and followed through and kept his word. Thank you Kapura Builders and Jesse; my condo looks amazing. Great work.

I had a condo fire in April of 2023. Since day one, Kapura has been nothing but helpful, kind, and understanding of my situation. They were in constant contact and updating me along the way and made the rebuild process SEAMLESS! My condo was completed in 10 months and they were able to do everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations. They shed light on the situation and even went out of their way to check in with me to see how I was doing. I am so thankful for Kapura!

Had Bill come out and look at my house for a complete rebuild after a fire. He told me he'd have someone come out and then send me a quote. Waited 2 weeks for his quote and they called back to say they can't do the job because they're too busy. If that was the case he could have told me when he met with me. Completely wasted my time and now I'm back to square one. Very unprofessional.

First I'd like to add this as a family-owned business and they are awesome people. I have hired Kapura for several jobs at my house. From a full kitchen remodel to most recently repairing my main waterpipe into my house. What's most impressive is their employees treat your home as if it's their own. There's absolutely no damage to my front yard after my main water line was repaired. That is incredibly remarkable! Highly recommend would give them 10 stars if I could.

The night of our house fire I was met by the most unprofessional individual you could even imagine. A fella by the name of John from Kapura General Contractors, this guy all he can tell me was he's from Brooklyn and he knows how it works... like he wanted me to cut him off a piece or something. The guy even got into an argument with one of the fire chiefs, totally unprofessional, unknowledgeable, not sure how Kapura is as a company but this guy is a bad face of the business.

John Cheeseboro thought that mere minutes after we evacuated our home from a basement fire was the appropriate time to knock on the window of our car and offer services. I was quite literally still in tears, on the phone with insurance and my mother, with 3 cats and my husband in the car, mid-panic attack from our evacuation. Absolutely abhorrent behavior from a literal ambulance chaser. Do better.

Although we didn't actually use the company fully, they were there for us right after our building caught fire in Vernon. They boarded up the building and made sure that it was safe and no looters & thieves were able to get in and steal our belongings... we delt with one of their employees named John Cheeseboro who I immediately recognized his accent as being from NY. He was EXTREMELY helpful in directing us in what to do next, how to begin picking up the pieces so to speak. We couldn't of asked for a nicer person to deal with after something so terrible like being displaced by a fire. For sure a company I'd recommended.

Great experience. House fully rebuilt after fire. The project manager Scott Norton was there though every step and was extremely responsive as well as accommodating. I was very picky but they did everything I asked and more. They went out of their way on multiple occasions. The Owner Bill also met with me personally to make sure I was satisfied. There was a lot of red tape with permits and inspections which caused some delay but Kapura worked through it and kept me informed. I also want to thank all of their employees that worked on my house for the incredible workmanship and the office employees that made sure the paperwork was all in order. Would use them again.

Reached out to get some work done and they let me know someone would be reaching out to move forward. No one ever reached out and when I called to follow up the lady on the phone got upset with me at the fact they didn't have my information in their system. I expressed to her that is very unprofessional and she should be upset with her co worker for not doing their job correctly. Terrible follow up, if time is of the essence don't work or reach out to this company.

During a very stressful electrical issue, Chris M. was beyond helpful. He was able to put my mind at ease and did an amazing job as well as everyone who worked on my home You won't meet a nicer group of people. Thank you so much!

I called 3 times before I was able to get an appointment have an estimator come to my house. I have seen their vehicles all over City doing work as well as many reviews on their work. When the estimator came to my house he refused to give me an estimate before I committed to signing a document agreeing I would hire them as acompany before knowing what price I was paying. I did not hire this company and will not hire any company without an estimate first bad business shame on you Kapura!

WELL 1st time turning on; destroyed the basement ; a foot of water; firemen here at 2-3a.m. : bless them called HVAC installers: didn’t fix it and wanted over four hundred dollars before leaving: refusing, he said he could not leave without payment so had to write a check to so he could leave my house !!
Closets, windows: doors, YIKES !! Lost security system because of temporary French doors with huge gap and improperly installed!
Do I need to go on? ALL of the smoke detectors going off all at once: had been recalled: faithful firefighters came to my rescue once again: Bless them

We sustained damage in the March '18 windstorm. We are so satisfied with the work that Kapura did on our roof and other damage. Our insurance company recommended Kapura. Peter, the project manager, even helped us connect with our solar panel company to get the panels back up immediately instead waiting 9 months! He coordinated all the work and it was amazing how quickly and professionally the work was completed. Everyone who worked here were professional and worked so hard. They completed everything in one day!

We recently bought a house and unfortunately learned the hard way that the basement would flood as soon as we got heavy rain. We spoke with Bill the owner over the phone and he was extremely helpful. Dean immediately came out to help us with fans to dry everything up and a dumpster. Highly recommend this company!

Not only they stole my money, but I wanted to contact the owner, Bill Kapura, and they told me that he said, He was going to take it to court! I have never had someone talk to me like that. The level of disrespect and arrogance in this company, especially coming from owners, is ridiculous! This company is so corrupted. The Service Master general manager, Rock Collins, is incompetent! As soon as he left my property, things started to go missing, such as the medications that I got from my back surgery.

I do not recommend this company at all. They don't even deserve 1 star.
