I would highly recommend Harry Gorman if you have a cedar shake roof. Harry's team cleaned and sealed our roof and replaced the shakes that needed replacing. They also cleaned and sealed the roofs of our neighborhood's 6 entrance monuments. The roofs look amazing and I am thrilled to have added life to my roof. We will absolutely have Harry's team back out in a few years to repeat the process and extend the life of our roof again.

I recently purchased a second rental home that had a cedar shake roof that looked like it was in rough condition. Our inspector also mentioned it to us that there would need to be a new roof or at least some major maintenance/repairs done. He recommended we call Harry Gorman to have someone take a look that's more specialized in cedar shake roofs.

Harry came out and gave me an estimate on repairs. We both got up on the roof and he showed me exactly what was wrong with the areas that needed attention and how they would fix them.

Not only did the repairs turn out great, but he cleaned the whole roof and power washed it to make it look newer. I also went with the recommended protective coating. Looks great and I can sleep better at night knowing the roof on my rental unit won't leak. Very pleased with the work done.

We have a cedar shake roof that hasn't had any maintenance done in the past 3 years since we moved into our house and it was looking pretty rough. I found Harry online among a couple of other specialists and called Harry for quote on repairs and maintenance for our roof, or possibly even a full new roof. Harry came out the next day and informed us that we do not need a new roof which was a huge relief. He explained that they could repair the damaged areas and clean up the remaining parts of the roof.

Through our research online, we saw that we should get our cedar shake roof treated for added protection and Harry provided us with our options which were very reasonable. Overall, we are very pleased with the work done on our roof and it looks better than ever! Harry saved us a ton of money by providing the repairs rather than recommending a whole new roof (it initially looked pretty rough once my husband got up there).

I usually get my cedar shake roof cleaned and touched up every other year and last year the contractor I hired did a piss poor job. A good friend of mine recommended Harry to me and all around I was very pleased with the service he provided. Before Harry came to give me an estimate, I got up on the roof to check things out myself since I always hear about contractors trying to add things to the bill that aren't there. I can tell you first hand that Honest Harry will be servicing my roof from here on out.

He pointed out the areas that needed attention and gave me a very reasonable estimate, much cheaper than the last guy. After a good cleaning and some minor repairs, he treated my roof with a coating and told me he doesn't think I'll need him to come back out for several years unless a storm rolls through and causes physical damage. Harry Gorman and his crew did an awesome job with the shake repairs and maintenance on my roof and I thought others should know just how smoothly and hassle-free Harry had made the process for me. I had put off repairs on the roof because it always seems like a big undertaking to find contractors and get multiple quotes and to be available at the house when they find time to come and provide an estimate. Harry was able to schedule a time that worked with my work schedule and was right on time when he said he would be there.
I had already had one contractor stop by and he gave me a pretty hefty estimate… I do have a very large roof but was not expecting to spend so much on repairs. Harry’s quote was much more in my budget that I had planned for and when I asked him about some of the other services/repairs that the other contractor mentioned, Harry was honest and informed me that some of those services were not necessary and provided me with alternatives to keep the cost within my budget, AND the alternatives would improve the longevity of my roof just as well as the more costly repairs. I really appreciated the honesty there.
Harry’s crew transformed my roof into looking like-new with a good cleaning, repairs, and then coated it with the treatment he recommended. When they left, I walked around the yard before I mowed the lawn to pick up scraps or anything they might have missed, BUT they left nothing to pick up! I really appreciated that as well.

Awesome job!! Had a few different companies pushing us for a complete reroof of the house which was way out of our budget. We called and within couple days we had a reasonable estimate for some repair work on a cleaning. Was done before estimated completion and no mess left around the yard. Highly recommend him for the job and will use again cleanings!

I want to thank Harry and his staff for the excellent work they completed on my elderly mother's home in Zimmerman, Minnesota.
