Stan was great getting a quote for the work that needed done and completing it timely. The cost was reasonable and he did not try to up sell me for more than I needed, which I appreciate.

Stan was great to work with for gutter cleaning. He provided some pictures and told me to let him know how everything flows once we get our first rain, which many companies would just take your money and not provide any follow up or care about the outcome. I became very choosy/critical after we had a couple bad experiences with other companies that did not clean all the gutters/provide pictures/ once it rained, still clogged. Thanks Stan!

Hard Hatters Roofing services replaced a good part of my roof last week and we are thrilled with both the service we received and the work that was done. The communication was terrific, the workers very well organized, polite and respectful of the property. Once the shingles were off they noticed that the the existing plywood on our roof was pretty much rotten and within a short amount of time they were able to secure the proper plywood to replace the rotten wood. They really were fantastic. The price was also very competitive. And last but not least, the cleanup was also perfect. They picked up all the debris. We really were impressed and highly recommend them.

Professional, on time and a job well done! Would recommend to anyone looking for some work done. Our roof looks brand new after they came. Oh also affordable their price was half of what we were quoted by other companies.

I would like to start by saying I would definitely recommend this roofing company. I've watched other companies that have come into our neighborhood and have done homes around me and not one have done as nice of job that Hard Hatters did they went above and beyond to make sure our roof was perfect there was an issue with color after they had already laying the shingles and it was immediately delt with and the crew was hard working very respectful and clean up was top notch not one shingle piece or nail was left they put everything back in place that was moved and the price was so reasonable as we had a double roof and had many quotes but no one beat this company thanks for the great work

Stan did an amazing job fixing my roof! He was honest telling me my roof only needed a repair, not a full replacement just to get more from a larger project. He was quick getting my project completed and provided photos at the end of the project. He even checked in after the first big storm after the roof repair to ensure he provided quality craftsmanship. When is does come time for a roof replacement, I won’t need to look anywhere else.

Stan is the best! He fixed my chimney leak, after a couple professional chimney repair companies wasn’t able to help with several hundred dollars paid.
Stan’s work is the most thorough and professional. Most importantly, he really spend time and completely takes care of the problems as he promised, and offered additional help/ advices as a friend, that’s the quality very hard to find.
I’d recommend his company for roofing/siding and any exterior work without hesitation.

We had an issue where some of the shingles on our new roof had a manufacturer’s defect, and Stan worked directly with the manufacturer on our behalf (we did not have to do anything). Stan successfully negotiated with the manufacturer for a total redo of our roof at no cost to us. I truly appreciate how Stan truly advocated for us to ensure our new roof was flawless.

A few weeks ago the roof in my sun room started leaking. That evening I contacted three roofing companies and within an hour or two Stan responded and said he could come out the next day. One of the three companies I messaged never even messaged me back!

Stan came out and was very professional and knowledgeable and gave me an estimate I could afford. We scheduled the job and in the meantime he patched the hole until his crew could come out.

Stan was very good at communicating when his crew would come out, and when they did they were quick, cleaned up after themselves and best of all, the next day it poured and my roof didn't leak anymore!

Hard Hatters Roofing Services did a beautiful job on my new house and detached garage roofs! Their uncompromising quality of work is the best I’ve seen. The work crew was very friendly and worked non-stop other than a short lunch break. These guys really know what they’re doing, and it shows! They also have a very cool piece of machinery called an Equipter with soft wide tires to collect shingle debris while tearing off the old roof. It uses a hydraulic lift to position a collection bin right up to the edge of the roof, so the debris isn’t being thrown on the ground and it was very easy on my lawn. Stan evaluated my leaking roof. He shared an option to repair only the leak as well as an option to repair the leak plus provide future protection. I opted for the more expensive service, which I still thought was reasonable. After I agreed, the scheduling of the repair was less than a week. I am very happy with the timeliness. AND more importantly, during the rains that Ian brought, there was no leaking!!!

Stan looked at a roof of one of our buildings in new castle. He was quick and responsive with follow up.

HH was very helpful in getting our insurance company to cover the needed repairs. At first they said that we didn’t have a claim because the existing roof had been incorrectly installed. But then HH went back to them with more pictures and evidence of wind damage and they covered the whole thing!

HH was very quick to respond to me in texts and emails. Of the two other companies I called, one never responded, and the other came out but never bid. HH was first to come out, quick to bid, stayed on top of the insurance company, scheduled the work promptly, and executed the job in three consecutive days.

We have a Victorian home with a round turret, which is very challenging to shingle. The end result is beautiful!

Stan is awesome!!! He is prompt, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. I called the company when I noticed water stains on the ceiling of my bedroom. Stan inspected my roof and attic right after he arrived. He said the roof is fine and indicated that it might be HVAC ductwork issues. I'd definitely recommend the company and Stan!!!

When I had water spots on my ceiling, I called Hard Hatters to check the roof. Their response was prompt and on time. Stan Makhotin determined the problem and fixed it for what I consider to be a reasonable price. Recently, I saw another spot and called Stan. He came within a few days and found the area that needed to be sealed. He said there would be no charge, because he should have seen that area the last time. I highly recommend his company.

Stan's team was great from beginning to end. I sought four bids for partial roof replacement--the original building had a 28 year old roof and the addition had a 15 year old roof. Stan came up with the best idea of anyone how to achieve this buy including half the addition roof. Even then his bid was the best value of all the contracts I received. They basically finished in one day with another visit to finish some details. Fortunately for us it 'rained like hell' a few days later. No leaks. The guys who did the actual work were pleasant and responsive and worked like demons. Stan also seems like a nice guy and was very easy to deal with. Everything he promised he delivered. I consider the money well spent.

Stan is a honest, reasonable man to work with. He will tell you he is not the cheapest or the most expensive, but what sets him apart in my opinion is his dedication to customer service. He showed up when he said he was going to. Communicated via text, email, photos of things he saw and possible solutions. He even came on a Sunday after everything was all done to address some of my questions and concerns after the first heavy rainfall we had post installation. I only wish I could find other contractors that have Stan's level of commitment to customer service.

His crew also courteous to my family members. Very clean, cleanup my property, and did so even knowing they were coming back the next day.

I've hired Hard Hatters for three different projects so far: a roof replacement, a large window replacement, and window capping. It was time to replace our 30-year-old deck, and the first company my husband and I thought of was Hard Hatters, who has done exceptional work for us in the past. To say that we are very pleased with the result is an understatement! Stan is a highly qualified, versatile professional who works economically without sacrificing quality. We will definitely call him again for any future projects.

I contracted with Hard Hatters Roofing and Construction to remove and replace the roof on my home. The contract specified first rate materials, a per-sheet price for sheathing should any need replaced, and the appropriate condition of the job site after completion; all at a very competitive price. Early in the tear-off stage, we learned that all the sheathing needed replaced for a quality job. Stan, the company owner, offered to renegotiate the cost of replacing the sheathing in consideration of the large quantity required and did so at a fair price. The additional material was brought on site quickly and installed, while only slightly extending the time my home was unprotected from the natural elements. The workmanship throughout all phases reflected quality, as did the polite crew. My grounds and landscaping were returned to their original condition.
If you need work done in the geographic area Hard Hatters serve, you'd be remiss not to ask for their estimate and inspect some of their previous work.

I've had dealings with many roofers and not one was worth calling back until I dealt with Stan (Hard Hatters Roofing). I have a flat roof that is not easy to access and the drain gets clogged due to the trees. Stan cleaned the drain, reinforced the seams, and has coated the roof to give it longevity. He is fair, honest, professional and responsible. I would recommend him for any job. He is worth a try.
