I needed a roofing repair recently and Chris immediately answered my call on a Friday. He was out to assess roof repair the same day, and had the repair completed the following week, in short order. I must of called at least six companies and Guardian was the only one that was willing to meet me the same day and knock out the job. I actually never heard back from half of the companies. Chris was very thorough and detailed throughout the entire process, and was in constant communications the entire time. The previous roofing company never completed repair, even though they sent me pics, showing the job was completed. Chris won me over alone with his outstanding customer service! This company came to give me a free estimate, they were on time, got on the roof to examine it thoroughly, gave a professional estimate, showed up early the day of the job and over delivered. I highly recommend this roofing company to all!

I had a leak in the ceiling of my daughter's bedroom. I called other companies but nobody could come out for at least a week. I called Guardian Roofing and Chris was able to come out the next day to check it out and give me an estimate. He found the flashing was not large enough and had caused the leak to form so we had the flashing replaced, shingles replaced and a water/ice shield installed over the sheathing for further protection. Chris and Derek came out on Sunday morning to fix the leak and I have not had a problem since. They were both extremely professional and very nice to work with. This was very quickly done and it was during the time when we had rain every day for a week so I was very happy they could come out and safely get this job completed. I will certainly use them again and will recommend them to anyone looking for roofing services.

After moving to a wooded area, I thought I'd found my dream home. Little did I know my dream home would one day be affected by the thing I loved the most, nature. A beautiful oak tree located in my backyard decided to fall. In August a limb from the tree fell on my shed caving in the roof, and in September a larger limb fell on my house caving into the foyer of my home. Guardian roofing was there for both occasions. I contacted guardian when the first tree fell on my shed in August. They immediately came out and gave me a free estimate, and before the end of the week my shed was repaired. When the larger limb fell on my home weeks later in September, Guardian roofing was there for me ONCE AGAIN, and had my roof repaired within a week. There are no words to describe how thankful I am for everything they've done for me and my family. Spoke to Chris one week, by the next we were getting started on a full roof replacement. He did his inspection and everything he stated about the roof made sense. Not once did I feel scammed or being pushed to nonsensical charges. Additionally, the quote he gave me was great. Price seemed beyond reasonable. Guardian Roofing did a fantastic job responding and fixing an emergency roof repair on a Saturday!

My parents have been living in a two-story home for over 50 years and the 30-year-old roof is at the end of its service life. The backyard has numerous 50-year-old trees with branches extending out well past the property line. With the peak hurricane season coming up, their neighbor decided to prune some branches that were threatening their own house. While pruning, they were kind enough to mention that they noticed a large 6-inch diameter oak branch on top of my parents’ second floor roof, and it appears that it punched a hole through the roof. It was a Saturday that we inspected the roof and found out with the neighbor said was correct! What made the situation frightening is the forecast of rain coming up!

So my brother and I researched emergency roof repair companies on the Peninsula and found several. We called a few of them; however, they never responded; one had the phone disconnected, and another one said leave a message and they never called us back despite the fact that they do emergency work over the weekend.

As we continued to search through Google for an emergency roofing repair company, I ran across a company called Guardian Roofing services. Knowing guardian means defender, protector, or keeper, I felt comfortable calling this company. I ask my brother to research this company and find out that it’s listed as an A+ company in the Better Business Bureau.

I called the company owner Christopher and left a message. Within several minutes Christopher called me back asking how can I help you. I told him the situation and he arrived at my parent’s house in about 10 minutes!

Christopher and his team fixed the roof in about an hour. The crisis was over! Christopher and his team conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner.

The serenity we felt knowing that our parent’s roof is fixed before the forecasted rain is phenomenal! Thank you so much Guardian Roofing Service! We will request your roofing services again!

I interviewed several roofers and chose Guardian Roofing in Newport News to put a new roof and gutters on my house. The owner evaluated my roof, told me what he believed I needed, and did not try to "upsell" me. Only when asked about other products did he mention products that might be an "upsell." I decided to stay with his initial recommendation, which, compared to the other interviews I had, was reasonable. He was absolutely no pressure in the following days when I compared offers, and when I had questions, he was prompt to answer me. He arranged for all the tradesmen to to arrive seamlessly, and he was on site. I was working at home the entire time, and went out often to see the progress. The debris was not thrown all around, the roof and gutters came along neatly, the workers were pleasant. The finished product looked exactly the way I wanted, and I have confidence the roof will be fine in the worst thunderstorms we get in the area. Thank you to the entire team who worked on my house.

Guardian Roofing did a fantastic job on my roof. I bought a 30-year-old townhouse three years ago. The roof had never been replaced. It was in bad shape. The challenge I faced is that my neighbor and I share the roof. We needed to find a quality contractor at a price we could both afford.

I began searching for contractors. Some of the quotes for my area were so far above the average prices that were quoted online that I was absolutely shocked. We are talking new car prices for a relatively small townhouse with minimal slope. Things weren't passing the smell test, if you know what I mean.

Fortunately, we found Chris from Guardian Roofing. He came out to take a look. While on the roof, he took pictures of areas of concern and explained the danger these concerns might cause. He explained the different options that we had, roofover, tear-off and install, materials, and warranty information for each option. His quotes fit within both mine and my neighbors price range.

However, before agreeing to the install, we had to perform our due diligence as the customer. We verified his license and insurance information were all update. No major issues were to the BBB. Everything looked good. We hired Guardian Roofing.

I expected a bit of wait before they could start our project. I was surprised to find that they were able to start the project within a week. The crew came out and started by setting up tarps to help protect plants ond other outdoor furniture. They then began tearing off the old roof. Before the morning was over, they were installing the new shingles. The job was complete in one day.

The clean up went well. The large trash was cleaned up and they rolled a magnetic roller over the front and back lawns to ensure all nails were picked up. Since we have a large number of kids in our neighborhood, this was an important aspect of the clean up that I was pleased to see.

The roofing crew was respectful. Chris was always professional, even when my neighbor asked to go up on the roof to inspect. My neighbor has experience as a roofer. So, when he gave me the final thumbs up, I knew the job was completed successfully.

Kudos to Chris. Kudos to his crew. As the type this review, I'm listening to a deluge of rain beating down on my new shingles. I know longer have to worry if water is finding it's way into my home.

Called Guardian after the house we just bought sprung a leak that the previous owner allegedly fixed. They were great to work with and came out to give us a quote first thing the next morning. They didn't try to upsell us on venting in the attic that we didn't need and were great to work with. They cleaned up after themselves, didn't leave a mess, and also helped catch one of our chickens! We will definitely be giving them a call when it's time to replace our roof!

This may be my second post about this company in a short time span, but they came back a did a partial replacement for me. They are fair, well priced, and an amazing company. The owner was very patient and understanding with me and my insurance. It was a lot. I’m super happy with the service. Would recommend 10/10.

Chris really helped me understand what was wrong with my roof and previous poor installations. He gave me an estimate with a plan and Guardian's 10 year warranty, and replaced my old roof with quality workmanship. I’m glad I picked Guardian out of responses I got and they will be my roofers from now on.

I requested GRS services while I was deployed, was quoted and paid for the services shown in the attached images on the first day of work (11 May). The initial contact was fine and fairly quick. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t consistently positive. Debris and tools were left behind after leaving for the day, and they didn’t arrive on a planned/agreed follow-on workday [14 May] and then two days after the no-show they TOLD me, not asked, when they were coming back (text attached).

Additionally, the finish quality is not great. Some angles were cut in an opposite direction, and the caulking to seal the large gaps (which we had to request them to seal) they left after install looks like thick frosting. Roof shingles that previously covered the facia no longer cover it now, but I was offered a chance to pay more money to fix it. The Soffit repair fixed the initial hole, but the wood used looks like it was a scrap piece with unfinished edges and the final product still has unsealed gaps.

Chris came out on short notice after I saw water dripping in my living room. He took his time inspecting the inside and outside and did some minor repairs to help hold the roof over until I can purchase a full repair. I would HIGHLY recommend Guardian Roofing to anyone. The Guardian Roofing representative quickly responded to our request for an assessment of water intrusion problems and provided a cost estimate. I needed to pay more attention to the quote provided. Be sure and understand terminology like step flashing and counter flashing. When we had concerns about the repair, the representative quickly responded and explained what we did not understand. The repair was performed quickly, safely, and appeared to be of good quality. The 10 year warranty provided us with peace of mind. We would work with this company again without hesitation.

I had a chimney cricket installed after finding a leak between my roof and chimney. Guardian Roofing removed the old shingles, built the new cricket, replaced the chimney flashing, and re-shingled the new structure to match the old roof. Project was done in one day; looks and functions great! The staff are very professional and provide a thorough explanation of the work. I had a terrible experience with Guardian Roofing Services, LLC. The initial consultation was promising, but the repairs were messy and lousy. I had to hire a different company to clean up their mess. I would not recommend this company to anyone in need of roofing services.

Christopher came to install a new flat roof, and repair some parts of another roof. I clarified to him that I needed receipts and had to provide those to the third party. I made a downpayment, he came and finished the roof installation and I paid him the balance plus the entire sum for the repairs left to do. I accidentally wrote a check for $11.36 less than he asked for (this is for a job over $1,800). He told me about it, I told him "honest mistake", and he said "not a big deal". Now comes the date when he had to have all repairs finished, but no word from him, I call him the next day all morning no response. I write to him, that I need the receipt. He replies until you pay the balance no receipt.
This is for $11.36 I remind you, instead of sending me what I need and then telling me about the $11.36.
If you think this is good customer service, then go ahead and hire him.

Was recommended by a friend, I had a new roof and shingles installed after my ten year old roof started to leak through the rainy season.

Chris came right to it, was very responsive and quick and accommodating, VERY pleased with his work. He and his crew were professional and courteous and I would use him again in the future.

Anybody who says otherwise must of been having a bad day and took their problems out on this company, as he made sure I was comfortable and aware of every decision made.

I have never in all my life been so appalled. The owner, Chris, came to repair my roof and it was very clear immediately he was under the influence of god knows what. He yelled at my 2 year old child to be quiet while talking to us about the work he was going to do. It gets worse. When he went to repair my roof, he failed to put a tarp over it. It rained all night and drenched the inside of my house, causing significant damage to my kitchen and dining room area. Then, the next day when he came back, we were all sitting at the kitchen table eating and he suddenly fell through landing on the table, shattering glass and causing food and drinks to fly everywhere. We were all stunned including him. We were all speechless, he then got up and ran out of my house. When we tried to contact him immediately following this incident he has ignored all calls and it seems he has blocked our numbers. He has never contacted us again and the damages to our roof and inside of our home are unbelievable.This will cost me tens of thousands!! DO NOT USE HIM

We had a old deck surrounding an above ground pool that had weathered over the years. Chris came out during the hottest weekend in May and worked tirelessly and to perfection.

Absolute steal when it comes to pricing. Chris came out exactly when he said he would and gave an overall price that wasn't even comparable to the competition for my low sloped roof. Far better priced then the competition. They were at my house like they said at 6am and knocked it out in one day. Removed old shingle, repaired some wood and leaks and reinstalled new beautiful shingles. Clean up was very good afterwards. The whole crew pitched in and made sure the yard was clear of any nails.
