We were lucky enough to see Guaillas’ trucks at our neighbor’s house as they were completing a roofing job. At our request, Luis came over to give us an estimate for installing gutters at our house. There were a couple of little issues that occurred but Luis, the owner, was a man of his word and he took care of everything the right way. So far everything has been good with my roof since he completed the work a few months ago. He also gave me the best price of the multiple estimates that I got, which was very important to me. I just had my entire roof replaced plywood and all. The guys did a great job and finished in one long day, they were here for almost 12 hours. Louis was awesome and kept in communication all the time made sure all went smoothly. I called around for about 3 other estimates but they didn’t come close to guerillas, and they also took there sweet time to come give me an estimate unlike Louis who came same day. They did a great job and already recommended them to three other that I now looking for roof jobs!

Luis knows his craft and has an excellent crew of hard working professionals. Our 135 year old house is sturdy but the roof was made of layers of old sheet metal, cedar shake and a final layer of asphalt shingles. The guys stripped all that off down to the rafters and installed all new plywood, moisture barrier and shingles.
Any rotten wood was replaced. New gutters all around. We had four bids and Luis gave us the best price. At the end of the project, my wife asked for some additional aluminum wrapping on an old facia board and the guys were able to do that as well. We had a good experience all around. I hired them to do the roof on my house outside of Kingston, NY. The process was pretty seamless, including the permit with the town. I did not give them five stars because they were supposed to return and measure the house and drop off samples for the siding. After multiple texts asking if they got a chance to do what they said they would do, I never heard from them again. Shame!

Update - Satisfied customer. Guaillas sent a crew to complete the job. Evidently there was some miscommunication but Luis knew we were dissatisfied and he corrected our issue.

So disappointed. We used Guaillas two years ago for a roof repair to one of our dormers and we were very happy with the work and the price. Recently, we had the same problem with our other dormer and needed the same repair. This time the price was more than double the price two years ago. We were surprised but we liked the work they did. They did a thorough job, installing ice shield to both sides of the dormer so we would not have the any further leaks. Based on our first experience, we agreed to the higher price to have the exact repair to the second dormer except this time they only repaired one side of the dormer. We called before the workers left, but we were told the agreement was only for one side. We regret that we did not have them write up a work order. We find it difficult to believe that in two years the cost for half the job increased more than twice as much as the full repair. We are disappointed that we did not get the same quality repair we were expecting. Our lesson learned. Make sure everything is in writing. We will not use or recommend them again.

To all of you that are in the market for a new roof or roof replacement here is our story. My wife and I built our brand new dream home 29 years ago, so it was time to look for a roofing contractor for a total roof replacement. I googled roofing contractors for my area Poughquag, NY. I received visits from six different contractors with little discrepancies in their costs. Most of them did not do the work themselves but had other people do the work for them. And most said the job would take 3 to 5 days.When Luis Guaillas the owner showed up to my home on 09/20/2023 for my free estimate, he was different then the others, not only did he offer the best price, but he would be on the jobsite working with his professional crew of 15 guys doing the work with them and it would take one day maybe two . I hired Luis because when I first met him I could tell he was a professional businessman. but also a very hard worker who I could trust to do the work the properly. On Monday 10/16/23 Luis and his crew of 15 professional , polite hard working gentlemen were at my home at 7:50 am and worked until 7:30 pm. The roof was pretty much done. Lois Informed me that evening that he would be sending two of his men over in the early morning Tues for a couple of hours to finish the job and that he would come over later in the day to inspect everything and collect payment. In conclusion Lois is a hard worker I saw him on top of my roof, that man is fast, and his crew is like a well oiled machine, they work really well together. We are very happy with Guaillas Inc. Roofing and would hire them all over again if I have the need. Check this company if you need a roof you will be glad you did. Best Wishes

Lois showed up as agreed and early. He had a crew of 8 who removed the existing roof and replaced with 30 year Owens Corning as per agreement. A 2nd portion of the job was an added dormer installed by his framing crew.
The overall project was completed in one day. All debris was removed from the site. The site was left as found. His team was excellent and I highly recommend.
A key note was he was properly insured.

I received several estimates. Guaillas were not the most or least expensive. But Louis was the easiest one to work with. He was very responsive and did exactly what he said they will do. We already had a few rains and the roof is not leaking. They provided great quality work. I am very happy and will highly recommend this company.

Luis and his crew did our roof last year. They came and completed the shingles and replaced 17 pieces of plywood all in one day. His price was the best out of all the quotes we received. Both Luis and his crew were very professional and friendly.

Had Luis and his crew come out and replace my roof and gutters. It was 33 years old. As consistent with the other reviews here, was really impressed. Roof was done in two days. A crew of 8-10 guys come. They are neat, do a great job of cleaning up and the roof looks great.

I needed an attic exhaust fan replaced as my old one wasn’t working. I mentioned to Luis that morning and by the afternoon he had a new one ready to go

Luis is also super quick and responding. He Texts back almost immediately with any questions.

After the install, some of the gutters were dripping at the end caps. I let Luis know. Got back to me in 10 mins on a weekend and had a guy out sealing them on Monday morning.

So far no leaks in the roof and we have had a ton of rain over the last week. Looks great. Pricing was good as well compared to a few other quotes I got.

Excellent roofing company. Louis and his crew showed up early and did my cape cod style house in one day,, new roof plus the roof on the bay window and my little side entrance, gutters with guards and downspouts,,,, they put up a netting to protect the house from the old shingles as they removed them, and they cleaned up as they went,i couldn't find a nail on my lawn. He gave me the best price out of the five estimates i received. I definitely would recommend them to my neighbors and family.

At first, I thought this was going to be a great company. I asked for a quote, Luis let me know he was on the way and was so polite on the phone. He collected my information twice so that a quote could be sent to me. He told us he could repair it that day, it is a metal roof and one small panel was up due to the screws and needed caulk. We said, lets see how much before we decide to go ahead. He told us $750. We confirmed that is $750 to caulk the one 12" panel and to screw in or replace the screws. He told us it was so much because he needs 2 people to do it (he said earlier he could do it himself), to pay the extra person, and nobody else would do it for us. I didn't like the way he said nobody else would do the repair. We told him we wanted to think about it, but I asked him to send me the quote. He didn't. I texted him asking about the quote again, he never sent it. I asked again, and he wrote back No, which I thought was a typo for Np. He never sent the quote. Why did I have to give my information if he was never going to send the quote? Not a good experience, which is why I am so surprised he has 4.9 stars on Google.

Within a day or two Luis was at my home looking at the roof, and just a week later the team was at my home and they finished the work in a few hours. Just had our roof replaced. Guaillas is a pro-set from start to finish. Roof, large center dormer, kitchen bump out and attached two-car garage ripped off and replaced in one day. Nine hard working guys showed up at 8AM; draped the house from gutter to ground and had the old roof and underlayment off in two hours. New drip edges, underlayment, perimeter shingles, soil stack collars, step flashing on chimney, ridge vents then shingles with 6 nails per all went on skillfully and quickly.

Superb workmanship, efficiency as a team and a nice group to boot. Cleanup with the tarps and nail magnet left the lawn and shrubs the same as when they arrived. Luis is a pleasure to do business with. The house looks great. Very impressed and pleased.

I spoke with Luis on Friday, I explained to him that my house was badly damaged by the storm in July. He replied that he was coming to give me an estimate on Saturday
(the day after). He never showed up or called. I understand that people might have emergencies, but I am very disappointed that he never called to let me know.

Luis and his team were unbelievable. They provided an honest quote and addressed all concerns upfront. They showed up on time to the minute and had the large, 2-layer roof completely stripped off my house within 1.5 hours. The team worked like a well-oiled machine with each step of the roof replacement from prep to demolition to installation to clean up. When they encountered severe roof rot from years of water leaks on a few 20’ beams in my 160-yr old barn house, they worked quickly and efficiently to diagnose the problem and repair the roof at cost without sacrificing the authenticity of the appearance of the beams inside the house. They also took great care to install and flash my new skylights and around my 100-yr old stone chimney, which had caused us so many problems over the years. Replacing a roof can be a very messy job, especially on a big old house with 2 layers of decades old roofing materials, and my property was spotless when the team left at 7pm that night. As the trucks were packing up and pulling away, Luis even grabbed a ladder and climbed up to adjust one of my gutters, which was not level and which wasn’t his responsibility. The multi level job was done top to bottom in one day - if I didn’t see it myself, I wouldn’t have believed it. Given the difficulty in finding good, reliable contractors in the Greene County area, I was extremely impressed with Guaillas Roofing and grateful for the beautiful new roof on my very old house. This is the second time I used this company very professional and respond quickly .I had my gutters cleaned and gutter guards installed also repaired some siding damaged from a bad storm earlier in the week . They came out and the work was done within the week . Everything looks great and the gutter guards work great.
