We had a very large tree that was leaning toward our house removed from my property on Monday by Greg's team and we were more than pleased with their professionalism and responsiveness from the moment we called to schedule an estimate until the actual tree came down. With the size of the tree and the kudzu weed growing up the entire height of the tree, we thought it was going to be a two day job but with the efficiency of Greg and his team, they were able to get it down, chipped up and moved out in one day which was quite awesome. Greg's Tree Service has done tree removal for my family (on my Mom and sisters properties) over the past 10 years and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Charleston area for his responsiveness, punctuality, professionalism, quality of work, competitive pricing, and efficiency. Kudos and great job!

I had a large dead tree which was a potential hazard to my neighbor's fence/yard. They were prompt to come out and give an estimate and equally prompt to do the work. They cleaned up the tree and mess left behind and were done in 2 days as they promised. I would recommend their servives.

We contacted Greg with Greg's Tree Service and he came out almost next day for a quote to take down and remove three trees, remove stumps, cut down fallen tree, remove large shrubs, and repair a damaged fence. Within a couple of days, he and his team came out and removed trees. In the process of removing one tree, the tree fell on another part of our fence damaging it, but Greg ensured us they would fix that as well. We were told he would remove stumps the following Monday and then the rest of the job after our shed was delivered. This included repairing entire fence and seed and straw our yard as well as our neighbors yard that was damaged by their equipment. We trusted him based on his 40 years of business claims as well as him being a referral. He was paid after the trees were removed, per his request. After that point, we were given many excuses as to why they couldn't make it out yet to finish, and they will get to us as soon as the rain stops, and then all communication stopped. He was paid and the job was left incomplete with stumps in yard as well as yard damage and an entire fence that now needs replaced due to a tree drop by him and his team.

Here's the review you asked us for, Greg. I was waiting until the job was completed, but since you never plan to complete the job...

I hope all your future customers see this post before hiring your company.

Paid day of for removal of 2 trees plus stumps after we cleaned up the felled trees. Husband contacted Greg as soon as cleanup was finished and we have gotten the run around since. Stumps are still in our yard, preventing us from continuing to do what we need done to advance our property. We lost money to this company, and have to pay out more to get the stumps taken care of.

DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE. They will not come to complete their job and will block/ refuse to answer calls. Learn from our mistake. Do not trust that they will complete their job once they have what they want.

Greg's tree service.. The relationship started great. I contacted Greg and he came out the next day to quote me for 2 tree drops, AND stump removal after I got rid of the wood piles.
I trusted him based on his "40 years of business" claims. So we got the money for him and the next day his crew came and dropped the trees, did a great job. It took me 2 weeks to get rid of the wood, rented a chipper and worked non stop.
NOW the issues begin. Greg was contacted the day I finished and stated "We will try to get to you this week." I heard that claim for 3 months now. Still have stumps in my yard. I have called, and texted all to no response. Fairly certain he blocked my number at this point. I'm more upset over the fact we paid him cash, so now there's nothing I can do about it..

I can’t say enough good things about these guys! When they saw a house with children living in it were in danger of tree fall, they dropped what they were doing and came over right away to take care of the danger. They went back to their previous job but wasted no time coming back to evaluate other dangerous tress and remove them. Fast, efficient, and professional. They were always in communication with me so I always knew what the status was. The price was extremely competitive and I’ll be using them and recommending them to all my property owning friends.

I had several huge dying trees on the hill in back of my property covered in ivy and leaning towards my house. These guys are awesome. The price was well worth it and they worked in an way that everthing fell right where it should. They are definitely professionals. Now they're gone and my property is safe!

Greg’s Tree Service cut back all our trees and took a big one down, stump and all and cut back bushes. He did an excellent job and cleaned up great. Would totally recommend. He showed up for estimate and came and did the job. Can’t find that around here these days.

We had a very large tree that had to be removed due to being rotten and it had split down the middle. Greg and his employees had it down and cleaned up in two days. Edited in response to owner comment: Sir, yes you did and clearly I'm not using my real name. You drove off my hill and then even came back to apologize. This was late summer 2022. You didn't get the job, I asked you to leave when you were there for an estimate. I even posted on Facebook to all my friends about it and can email you the screenshot of the date to refresh your memory. You talked about "that black lady" this and that and spoke horribly about other customers of color. I was horrified and you deserve this call out.

Never had the service because I threw Greg off my property for talking bad about other customers in a racist and unprofessional manner. Lumberjacks is the way to go!

Greg cut down a large tree for me and did a full tree removal as well. He was very responsive and prompt with his service. He completed the job in 1 day without any issues. Very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Greg to anyone!

They did a phenomenal job removing two trees close to our house (One was taller than the house) and 5 tree stumps. They removed the trunks and Al of the limbs and the yard was intact afterwards. They cleaned up and put down straw around the two tree removal sites. Their pricing was also better than 3 other tree services we contacted.

I called and left a message about removing 3 trees for me. Greg called me back in a prompt manner. He came out quickly and gave me an estimate that seemed fair compared to other estimates. His crew arrived early on the scheduled day and did a professional job. I would use them again.

This Company has the most updated chipper we have ever seen. The crew came in and efficiently cut down six trees, chipped the tree stumps planted grass seed and covered with straw and two days. They are very unique and assuring me as the customer that I was satisfied with the work I recommended him to my sister and she had four trees, trimmed and chipped and was very very satisfied, I would highly recommend their work be sure and give them a call.

I recently had a huge tree across the main road.i contacted gregs tree service since I dealt with them before.They were out the same day and between the rain they got the tree down and topped some trees for me. They cleaned everything up when they were finished. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

They came and cut a tree for me and done a wonderful job. The tree couldn't just be dropped. It had to be roped and pieced all the way down. It was a very big sycamore.

Greg was contacted about clearing off a quarter acre lot behind my house. He gave me an estimated starting week and kept me informed when they would be there. His crew cleared it from brush and small trees in a few days. I then decided to have some of the bigger trees cut down like 14 of them at a reasonable price. The stumps were grinded down. All in all his crew did a fantastic job. They were very nice and responsive to my needs. By the way workdays were between 90 and 100°

Greg’s tree service removed four trees and trimmed two large trees on my property. The workers were very professional and courteous they completed the work all in two days and cleaned the property before they left. Prices were are very competitive.

I contacted Greg's Tree Service to remove a tree that had fallen across the creek behind my house, and a hickory tree that had been damaged. After we decided to have the work done Greg put me on their schedule. They arrived on the Monday scheduled and removed the trees and the associated brush from the limbs. I was surprised when they completed the work in one day. I would recommend Greg's Tree Service.

Great company! They cut 2 trees down for us , one of which was completely dead, estimated to be 66 feet tall, and could have fallen on our roof! We called and they came the next morning. Very professional , reasonable, and they do excellent work. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

Greg’s company trimmed 3 large trees and took down 1 tree in my yard. I’m very pleased with the results. Job was completed in a timely manner. The debris was removed and the lawn was left in great shape.

I have a dwarf golden cypress in my yard that needed trimming badly. I had contacted two previous local tree services who both came came out and gave us an estimate but never followed up. Fortunately, I came across a business card for Greg’s Tree Service that states “Prompt Professional Service” so I gave him a call. Greg came out that same day and gave us an estimate, and two days later his son showed up and completed the job! He was very professional, competent, and friendly. Greg’s Tree Service cut down several extremely tall pine trees in my back yard. The guys were professional, well mannered, and maintained a great work ethic. After the trees were down, they did an amazing cleanup of my hillside. Also, they were reasonably priced. I would definitely use them again..

Greg’s tree service did a phenomenal job trimming our oak tree. We’ve lived in our home for a year and this tree had been very neglected. They were able to start the job much sooner than expected. They were professional about letting us know what to expect and very kind. While they were in the tree, they came upon a squirrel nest with babies in it and nicely left it be, which raises the bar in my opinion. They cleaned up as they went and took great care to safeguard my plants and flowers as well as our entire property. We will be calling Greg again for all our tree needs! Greg, his son, and crew were responsive no matter what time I called. They have all equipment on hand to complete any job I could imagine to include chipper shredder, large boom truck, stump removal, and skid steers. They completed the job quickly and were prompt with communication. Lea up and reclamation were great. I would highly recommend.
