In the process of having gutter guards installed we discovered a problem with the way in which the our original roof shingles were installed (installer did not put down a starter row). I called Gregg Roofing to come and take a look. Josh came out and looked at the situation and came up with a creative solution to solve the problem that did not involve tearing off the existing shingles. He also pointed out several areas that needed special attention to keep my roof in good shape. Not only did he know what he was talking about but he was also a really nice guy.
When it came down to getting the work done the office staff was all over it, keeping me appraised in advance of of the schedule and several other calls keeping me up to date. VERY PROFESSIONAL.
The crew was also exceptional. They arrived on time, took time to explain to me exactly what they were going to do then went out an performed. Again, nice guys and really hard workers.
In short, use these guys for you roofing needs.

We were experiencing a leak behind a section of our gutters in our atrium, over which there is a floating roof with four posts. One roofing company came out to evaluate the situation, indicated it was a faulty gutter issue, and that we should have a new roof. We then brought out a gutter company, which indicated it was not a gutter issue, and was in fact a roofing issue, and they recommended Gregg Roofing. The owner, Kevin, came out and, after a very thorough evaluation, identified the problem and the needed repairs, along with some other recommended preventative measures. The Gregg team arrived a few days later and did an excellent job. Although we did not need a new roof, we will certainly contract with Gregg Roofing when the time comes.

I can't say enough about how thorough and diligent Josh was with both assessing our roof issues and repairing them after our most recent ice storm. I especially liked how he explained the problem to me in detail. Gregg Roofing was also prompt in responding and getting Josh out to fix our problem. These guys are true professionals!

The team at Gregg Roofing was very responsive to our emergency needs following a severe ice and wind storm. They provided a detailed quote which was honored upon completion. Their office staff helped us provide additional information needed by our homeowners insurance company. Their installers were courteous, hard working, and made sure to clean up each evening. Would highly recommend!

Josh of Gregg Roofing came out and investigated a problem with our flat roof. A videoscope analysis confirmed suspicions that a soft area of the roof was caused by condensation arising from missing or inadequate insulation by our original builder. It took 3 solid days to reframe, reinsulate, and reseal the affected area. All the time, Josh exercised professional skills with no wasting of time. The work area was kept cleaned and the problem solved.

Initially I had the roof on my home and barn installed by another company. Due to high winds, a few of the tiles on the barn came loose and fell off. As I had a warranty on the roof, I first tried to contact the company who had done the actual job. However, they did not respond to any of my calls. I contacted Gregg Roofing and they responded quickly and professionally and came out and replaced the tiles. I should have used Gregg Roofing from the beginning.

I've used and will continue to use Gregg Roofing for any roof repair that I may need. The staff of Gregg Roofing has been great and quick and responsive in helping with a few different issues, with fair and noninflated quotes full of BS of things to fix.

Fast and SUPER professional guys. They came out and had my leak assessed and fixed in 2 hours, with new shingles to match even. Price was fair for the work done. Overall very happy with this crew and will be going through them when we need a full roof.

Kevin came out quickly to provide an estimate of the repairs we needed on our roof. We had two additional quotes from other companies, and Gregg roofing was the best cost and they were able to fix a skylight that the other companies didn't want to touch. Their roofers were very polite and courteous. They cleaned up so well, we couldn't even tell they were here when they left. I would highly recommend Gregg roofing!

Kevin was awesome! I was warned by inspectors that my roof had standing water. Kevin looked at it, was honest and said looks fine. It’s good to know I can trust this company.

We had our roof replaced recently, total tear off and new Malarkey Roofing. The crew that did the job were very professional and when they were done they went around my house with a magnet and picked up all the staples from the rear off.

2. How long does roof replacement take?

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
