We have now used Green Street Solar for two installations near Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, first on our residence in 2019, and earlier this year on a second home. Both installations went smoothly and exactly as promised. Last fall a section of critter guard came loose on our five year old installation in a storm, and it only took one text to have it fixed the following day. We have recommended Green Street Solar to any of our friends and neighbors who are considering solar. We worked with Russell Pfaller on the installations, and Beth Blake, Rhonda Murray and Destany Chandler on back office issues.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. The installation was quick, efficient, and caused no inconvenience. Our last non-solar bill in February was $259.00, March and April are now $28.00. It works

When I first inquired about solar for my home, it was early December and I wanted a quick turnaround because I was not sure if the new administration would continue the energy tax credits for solar systems. I was also concerned because the holiday season was approaching and I feared that that would also cause a delay. Finally, I was going away until March and I knew if it was not done before I left in mid January, it would not be done until March. Beth assured me the installation could be done within my timeline. The financing paperwork was not difficult to complete. The approval came quickly and the financing offered was a big incentive to me to pursue solar. Especially given the spate of low temperatures and the resulting high heating bills, the monthly financing cost for the system was cheaper than my winter heating bills would have been.

The system was installed earlier than promised, which was remarkable because we had recently had a heavy snowfall and the snow had been slow to melt because of the frigid temperatures. While I fully expected the system to be installed on time, what I was pleasantly surprised about was when they were able to turn it on the very next day! That really made me happy.

Once the system was up and running, there were occasions when I would receive email messages regarding the inverter box. I reached out to Russell via email and he usually responded in a timely manner. In fact, one time, he replied at 11:00 PM on a Sunday.

Both Beth and Russell have met with me in person to answer any questions I had about the system.

I am very happy with the system. It was definitely the right move for me. I am also happy with Green Street Solar and I recommend them for those considering a solar system.

The installation crew was very knowledgable and professional. They took pride in their work and it showed. The startup was smooth and there were no unexpected surprises or costs. By far the best company out of all those I considered.

The installation was done in one day. The job site was clean. The Green Street Solar team is very easy to work with and is helpful whenever needed.

The FRONIUS gen 24 inverter is the heart of the system. It works well but has had repeated problems linking with our WiFi and the Solar Web software. Russell made 3 trips to the house to get that reporting function working with our WiFi. Kept at it until the problem was solved.

Many good things to say about Green Street Solar. One of the most important was that they did not push an equipment leasing alternative. Just good at what they do.

I recently had solar panels installed on my house by Green Street Solar. I knew very little about solar before I contracted with them, but our salesman, Russell Pfaller, did a great job of explaining the process and putting together a comprehensive quote. The installation took less than one day. The crew was on time, very professional, and took the time to answer all my questions. Green Street took care of every aspect of the project, even helped arrange financing. The entire process from start to finish was surprisingly painless. I could not be happier and would recommend Green Street Solar to my neighbors without hesitation.

Working with Green Street Solar was a very professional experience. The salesman Jeff Irwin educated me on the various solar panels out there, how they would be attached to the roof, the way the wattage was calculated based on orientation (east / southeast) and the actual angle / pitch of the roof. He also told us the difference between a main converter and the individual panel micro-inverters. No other company (CleanUSA and TerraSol) we got quotes from was as thorough and attentive as he was.

Then office staff was very efficient and helpful with signing all of the documents needed and keeping us abreast of the insta)action date - this constantly changes due to weather. We signed our contract at the end of February and installation was in June. Green Street is a small local company- the type we love to support. Several friends have used them in the past and they came highly recommended from them, as well as independent customers.

All in all I do not believe you can go wrong with Green Street. They file all the paperwork for you for the rebates ($6,000 - DE State) and even offered us a one year no interest loan for the 30% Federal tax credit, so that we can pay that off once we file our taxes for 2024 and receive the 30% credit.

The initial site visit with Grees Street to get a quotation went very well. The salesman was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He quickly came up with a solar panel layout design that looked very good. One issue that came up is that the roof is 14 years old and he suggested that we get that roof section replaced, so he included a price for the roof replacement in his estimate. I found that the cost of roof replacement technically cannot be included in the 30% federal tax credit, so he suggested that we contract out the roofing contract ourselves. He gave me the name of roofing contractor where he got his original pricing for the roof replacement. I had the contractor come out and price the job. Unfortunately, their price was almost twice of what they originally quoted to Green Street. They would not honor the first quote because they said the roof area is larger than the original quote included. I also had pricing from two other roofing companies, but the Green Street recommended roofer was still cheaper, so I had them replace the roof and they did a very good job. The solar panel install went very well with no issues and the system has been running for a couple weeks now and it is performing as designed. I'm very happy with our new system, but it did cost us a little more money than we thought it would.

Project completed in a timely manner and met expectations so far. System is working and live information and historical data is available on my smartphone.

It was a great experience getting our solar done through Green Street Solar and we have already recommended them to so many of our friends. We could not be happier with our solar system and experience with Green Street Solar. They installed our system in Feb 2022. I don’t remember the names of my installers but they were proud of their work which tells me they get treated well by Green Street management. So one year in and we can blast the AC and not worry about the cost. By my calcs the system will pay itself off in less than 7 years. We chose Greenstreet because of the very positive reviews on Google and Facebook. We were not disappointed. Their price was the best, and we were glad to see that the panels were made in the US and of high quality. Although the process was delayed due to Delmarva Power, the installation and activation were completed smoothly. After that, we had a few problems that Greenstreet resolved within a day. This is unlike many local contractors. We referred friends to them and would refer others interested in solar.

I had been receiving many unsolicited proposals in response to an online request I posted. They were all crazy expensive and cookie cutter in nature; no details but plenty of pressure. And no connection to my needs and my house's orientation. I contacted GSS due to a strong recommendation from a neighbor. Jeff Irwin came over quickly and fully prepared, and gave me a detailed analysis and explanation of the proposed system. As a Mechanical Engineer, I was pleased with his thorough knowledge of all the nitty gritties. Everything made sense and was clearly aimed at providing me the most cost effective solution. In the end, I decided to upgrade to the latest string inverter technology which facilitates future plug and play addition of more panels should I need more juice ( e.g. buy an EV). The contracting and installation went without a hitch. Couldn't be happier with my system.

Russell explained the system and process in detail. Green Street also processed the necessary paperwork for a State grant, as well as the forms for registering for renewable energy credits. The installation crew was outstanding and completed the work within the timeframe promised. As a retired engineer responsible for facilities at the Newark Chrysler auto plant I have many years of experience working with contractors on numerous multi million dollar contracts. Efficient and very professional. I had 28 panels and 2 inverters installed in one day. Inspection was the next day and meter swap was the day after so in 3 days I had a meter that was spinning backwards. I could not be happier with Green Street.

I've been very impressed with the folks at Green Street Solar. Jeff Irwin, my sales guy, was very knowledgeable and explained everything extremely well. He is also super responsive to my calls and emails. Beth Blake is the office person and she is very friendly and helpful. My 8.4kW system was installed by six guys, each of whom were very professional and efficient during the 5-hr install process. These are not contractors, they are Green Street employees so they are part of the GSS team.

The next day, DEC came out and inspected the install and, two days later, came out installed my new, NET meter, which determines how much electricity I'm using versus how much I'm generating. I texted the owner at Green Street to let him know I was ready to go. Russell got my system connected to the Fronius invertor app in minutes and I was generating electricity five minutes later.

The next day was sunny and at 9AM in the middle of January (sun is low in the sky) the system was producing at 68% capacity. Pretty amazing! My meter was running backwards all day long, meaning, I was generating more electricity than I was using. The next two days were cloudy and I was only at around 10%. However, during the summer I should be producing plenty of credits to cover me for the winter months next year. I also had them install an outlet to charge an electric car which I'll be purchasing one day.

I chose Green Street Solar because every review I read was a 5.0. There is one on Angie's list that is a 1. However, this guy's system was installed 10 years ago and I don't even think it's the right company since GSS did not exist at that time. I think he's talking about Green Street Energy located in NY.

I highly recommend the team at Green Street Solar if you want to start saving on your utility bills. If there is no increase in electric rates then my payback will be about 10 years. However, given that my rate went up 36% last year, I anticipate the payback will be much sooner!

Our experience working with Green Street Solar was amazing - we had the opportunity to work with Russell who took the time to design a solution that met our needs, and the Homeowners Association, answered all our questions, and ensured we knew how to operate our system - which doesn't take any owner intervention. The crew that came to do the installation couldn't have been better - they showed up on time, were extremely polite, and cleaned up perhaps better than any crew I have had working on my home. Further, Beth has been great post installation to assist with the solar credits.

We chose Green Street Solar for a number of reasons including the very many local people with whom we’d spoken who have their systems and have had only good things to say. Besides that, the price was reasonable for the very high quality parts, installation workmanship, and a lot of timely information. It was also installed and working well within a month of our order. I was concerned the southeastern exposure would not be adequate, but Green Street installed their most efficient panels and we now have enough solar power on our roof to fully power our all-electric 2,400 sq. ft. house and some extra for an EV. And that’s an all-year average. It’s a 9.2 KW array.
