We hired Green State to renovate our kitchen and three bathrooms and have been thrilled with the results. Our house is 100 years old, and their repairs brought it up to code that ensured functionality and safety while consulting with us throughout the process. Green State is a team of professional experts that handles plumbing, carpentry, tile, electrical, flooring, painting and more. They provide a detailed plan of work and contract that outlines a realistic timeline, labor costs, and supplies. Green State offers consistent and outstanding craftsmanship, and the finished product feels like a true piece of art and high quality. Their communication style is friendly, respectful, and professional.When the job is finished, they feel like part of your family. It is a rare treat to find a crew with a strong work ethic and commitment to time, quality, and clean up.

We are so pleased with the work done by Green State Kitchens and Baths on the remodel of our old bathroom. The house was built in 1928 with a remodel in this bath around 1955. The work required an entire demolition and location of a huge leak in a cast iron pipe going down the wall of our front hall. It was such fun working with Monica on the design. Jake and Willie were great problem solvers. All of the professionals from plumbers, electricians, tilers, carpenters and painters were proficient and delightful to have in our home. The result is lovely and provides a great bathroom for family and guests.

Green State Builders did an incredible job on my kitchen renovation! Their attention to detail, design, and craftsmanship was outstanding. We've just finished our second renovation project with Green State Builders, and couldn't be happier. Jake's team is professional, skilled and every member of the team who came into our home was wonderful to work with. They dealt with a few (unrelated to the project) crises that came up quickly and efficiently, and I always felt that I could trust the work that they did. Having pretty much all trades in-house was amazing. The coordination and time management of the project was smooth, and we were always kept up to date on what was going on. Green State Builders were amazing to work with! Jake was involved each step of the way to ensure the quality of the work was perfect. All of the workers were such a pleasure to work with and super easy to have around. Having had a previous bad experience with a different contractor, I was wary about starting another project, but Jake and his team put my mind at ease and as soon as our bathroom project was complete I was looking for a new project to start because the experience was so smooth. We are thrilled with the final project and I can't recommend this team more highly!

From start to finish our experience was outstanding. Monica our designer met with us, helped us pick out tiles and took what can feel like an ovewhelming process and made it simple. She really understood our tastes and our budget. Our bathroom looks fabulous! The communication between Jake and his team and us was beyond our expectations. The team showed up every morning as expected; and were fun and friendly and really helpful. If you are going to have people in your house at 7 am -- they were the best! And they are clean and keep your space and their space very tidy! Seriously, we can't say enough about the crew employed by Green State Builders. No change orders on our end, and the quote was right on target. It felt like a big project to us and the care and guidance made it seem easy. Highly recommend without any reservations at all!!

I cannot express how happy we are with our kitchen. The green state team was extremely efficient and made the process as quick as possible. All of the employees were so kind, friendly, and conscientious of our space. Our house finally feels like a home and we couldn’t have done it without them. We had the privilege to work with Green State Builders for a large renovation of three bathrooms and a mudroom. I’m so glad we waited to work with Green State on this project. Organization and Communication – Everything from timeline, to vendor dates, to when we needed things ordered was highly organized and communicated to me. Jake and team did an incredible job managing any vendors, deliveries, etc. If there was a delay or issue, Jake let me know asap.
Thoughtful Design – Monica is a true design master, from the concept of the layout to the picking of the tile and cabinetry. She went above and beyond helping me to think through tile and color choices and gave care down to the smallest detail. Our bathrooms are truly one of a kind and stunning because of her eye.

Respectful – The entire staff at Green State was truly wonderful to work with. They took care in everything, from ensuring the site was cleaned and vacuumed each day, putting down protection on the floors. My children were excited to talk to them every morning when they arrived.

If you are looking to hire a contractor, I can’t say enough positive things about the experience we had with Green State Builders. It’s an investment worth making.

Highly recommended! Professional, transparent, great at setting expectations, and punctual, we couldn't have asked for a better team. My husband and I can't recommend Green State Builders enough! The owner came on site to review the bathroom project and even offered a few recommendations that my husband and I didn't even think of and we are sooo happy we went with the owner's additional recommendations. The estimate was on target and there were no surprises when it came to paying an invoice. The owner's wife helped us with our design questions and she was extremely helpful during the design process. She was wonderful to work with and we trusted her design guidance. The communication from the owner and his team was beyond exceptional. The 'heads up' on when workers would be on site and status of the project was so very much appreciative. The workers would show up when they say they would and always put in a hard days work. They were all friendly and respectful and would take the extra step to clean up/vacuum after their day before departure. All of the workers were exceptionally skilled in their trade, responsive to our questions, and very easy going. Our master bathroom is our dream bathroom come true and we are extremely fortunate to have had Green State Builders do the job. And having heated floors (a recommendation from the owner) in the winter is a major plus!

They were very clean and amazingly flexible with my kids running in and out while they worked. Very honest and polite.

Green State Builders recently completed our kitchen renovation (in 3 weeks, as scheduled!) They are professional, trustworthy, skilled, timely and hands down, the best contractors we have ever worked with. Each and every member of their team is friendly and highly skilled. The whole process was great for us. They remember every detail along the way and we didn’t have to remind them of anything. They are organized from the beginning. A bonus was having an electrician and plumber on staff. This helped keep our 3 week timeline and everyone works together. Our kitchen is just beautiful and we love everything about it. I highly recommend Green State Builders and we can’t wait to hire them again for another project.

I looooved working with Jake, Willie and crew on my bathroom remodel. I had sought out other contractors prior and none had any ideas on how to solve the issues with my problematic space. Jake, who came highly recommended by prior clients, was the only one who looked at my unique space and came up with a creative solution and was able to resolve structural issues and create the bathroom of my dreams!

This was my first renovation project, and so I was nervous. My nerves were quickly soothed and working with these guys was a delightful experience! They made the overwhelming process enjoyable and way less stressful than I had anticipated.

Not only is this team extremely supportive, they are so professional - they are meticulous, competent, punctual, clean (left the place immaculate after each work day), quiet, polite, and are a pleasure to have around the house! Workmanship and professionalism are superb. They don’t leave any loose ends, every last detail of your project will be completed. They leave the worksite clean at the end of the day and are very attentive to protecting your property. I won’t hire anyone else going forward.

Jake and his team did an awesome job! We had several past experiences with contractors who we couldn’t trust and was a nightmare to work with. We are VERY glad we have finally found a reputable contractor who specializes in many different areas and does quality work! Jake and his team were all very knowledgeable, well versed and extremely skilled. We will be sure to hire them again for all of our projects without the worry or fear that one normally get with your “general contractor”. Jake is very organized and communicates everything to you. It was nice to know that we had a set date for the project and it wasn’t a waiting game like we experienced with other contractors.

These guys are awesome. They are professional, efficient, quality is top notch, I could go on. The work they did in my kitchen was impressive to say the least. In less than 2 days they came in and demo'd the kitchen, replaced all my cabinets (while keeping my granite counter tops in perfect condition) and even fixed some flooring issues. I was impressed with how well they work together and that they bring the whole team on so that as plumbing and electric issues come up they just breeze on through with no pauses in workflow. 10/10 guys, thank you!

Jake and Willie did an INCREDIBLE job on our new master bathroom, closet & laundry room renovation! I would recommend Green State Builders without reservation. Their work is stellar quality & also they have good solid recommendations that really helped us to address our needs from design, price, and functionality.

They worked with us from the design & concept drawing phase — addressing complicated spacing, water issues, etc., from what was a dilapidated former stairwell to be a beautiful bathroom space. I mention this because it was not only their final product but their ability to listen and make suggestions which made the whole process go smoothly.

We are so happy with the final result and will use them for all of the work we do going forward!

HIGHLY recommend Jake and his team! We've had our house three years now and have been through the ringer with contractors. We've had multiple people cancel, reschedule, and not show up when they give us a date. We started losing our patience and thinking Vermont had absolutely no contractors with good work ethic, organizational skills, and knowledge in their field....until Green State Builders.

They were quick to show up when we needed them, they got the job done in a timely manner, and they gave us the run down of what to expect and what we needed to know. They also took a look at another potential issue, which we're excited to have them onboard with if/when needed.

Another massive benefit is that they have a team of specialists. While you might be able to save money going to the guy who is a "jack of all trades" you definitely risk having more errors and long term problems. I'm always HIGHLY attracted to people who specialize at their jobs because I know I'll get longer lasting results. I'd rather have a plumber for plumbing, an electrician for electrical, etc. over one man who can do a little bit of everything in each craft. Our house isn't for trial and error, it's for us to live in peacefully and we trust that GSB offers the highest quality and longest lasting services in our state.

I am a local Kitchen and Bath Designer in Vermont and have been working with Jake and his team for over a year now. My overall review for Green State Builders is not only from the finished project prospective - which is key in my business - but within the design and implement of the project itself.
Jake is very thorough with every job he works on. Each detail is confirmed and double checked for accuracy. For cabinetry and fixtures (which is the main portion of my work with Green State) regardless of the scope of the job, each room and phase of his build are pulled together with countless hours of planning, sourcing materials and designing. I assure you I make him work for every penny! We work very diligently on each and every design as if it was his own kitchen and bathroom. So the quality of his install/build and the attention to each detail is the first priority for Jake.
I have worked with many contractors, including the 'Craigslist contractor' who thinks throwing cabinets on a wall or ripping out a floor is a piece of cake. I have seen the aftermath of those very amateur installs and shake my head wondering why the homeowner didn't spend the time to research a quality remodeling professional. Those same homeowners come to me for assistance and I send then right over to Jake and his team. I have never had an instance where his craftsmanship was questioned or failed to meet the expectation of his client. I assure you won't find a better team then Green State Builders.
