I usually get good service at Gray's. Today though the person behind the counter wasn't very helpful or friendly, and the utility grade fence pickets are way overpriced at over 3$ per. Quite bad quality with lots of splits, holes, bug holes and mechanical damage etc. Which is common, but not at that price. Good thing for Gray's that we didn't have time to go somewhere else.

Always a great place for all things for building. Great selection of windows and doors in stock. Best place for bulk screws! Has concrete, pavers, and retaining wall blocks. Carries a couple different kinds of cedar, some for decks and some for fences. Great and friendly staff!

I've been pleased with everything I've gotten from Gray's. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly too. Highly recommend checking their stock before going to the valley. Prices are reasonable too.

Here's why... I only go to Gray's for my building and art needs - and I value them so incredibly much... I hate to give away my secret builder's source!

But I want these guys to succeed in every possible way because they are fantastic to deal with and their prices put ALL other other builder's supply stores in the area to shame!

I've used them for years. I've built a gorgeous privacy fence around my home with Gray's. And I have gone to them for anything I need to do around my home when I need quality building supplies.

And like everyone you meet on the Central Oregon coast - I'm a full-time artist. They have high quality framing materials and customer service you just can't beat - anywhere around the Newport area! And their prices CAN'T ARE SO EASY ON MY WALLET!!!

The guys at Grey’s were great! Helpful and friendly, and the best prices in town. They worked up a bid from my drawing with everything I needed. Delivery of the decking materials were on time and place exactly where I wanted. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Always have what I need for the right price, any time I have a project, this is the place I go for lumber.

If you are looking for some extra pieces of lumber, flooring, or pavers stop in and if they have what you need. Plenty of windows, doors, and sheds as well.

I bought an older house and have been slowly fixing it up. The windows needed to be replaced due to old age so I contacted Grey’s. Slav was instrumental in helping me make an order for a set of windows. A few rough openings were custom size so Slav offered several solutions for the best outcome. We made an order and all the windows and sliding patio door were made perfect to size. Overall fantastic experience: from good communication, to order, to payment, to seamless pickup. I will go to Gray’s again for my building needs! Would highly recommend.

Went to pickup some lumber for some projects at the job. Got to meet the Big Boss and he was so helpful and courteous. The guys he employs are the greatest bunch. I will always come here for my lumber needs. In my opinion you won't find a better place to find your lumber. They even have these great little all purpose sheds. You can't go wrong ever by shopping here.

Great service, everyone has been very helpful and friendly. Had 43 bags of concrete delivered today and Billy knocked it out quick and covered them up before the rain got to it.

We bought a prebuilt Old Hickory Shed from Grays. We had a cement slab laid after purchasing it and receiving assurance Gray’s could deliver. Our yard is raised about 5-6 ft above roadway. We called for delivery when concrete was dry. The driver (not a Grays employee) came to look at our site and told us he couldn’t make that delivery because of the height. We went back to Grays pretty upset because we spend $3000 on cement. Louis was so nice and professional and referred us to the regional boss for OHS, Todd Hall. I’m not sure what Todd did but we got our shed delivered!(perfectly I might add). It looks great and we love it! We have purchased a lot of lumber and materials from Grays and have always been treated like we count by every employee there!

Grays has always been awesome. However, with the new change in ownership their level of excellence is unreal. They provide great customer service, have the best prices in town, can get you anything you need and even have onsite sheds prebuilt to sell. I hear they will be starting a pole barn division soon as well. Pick your size of pole barn, they have plans and prices ready to go to get your project done within weeks and at fair pricing. Could not be happier with James, Mia and Slav down at the yard!

We are lucky to have a place like this anywhere near the coast

Last week I was in the Portland metro area and I started looking for something to finnish my garage ceiling I looked from sun up to sun down I must have driven 200 miles I went to the big box stores and the discount places and even the reclaimed wood places The prices I was getting even for salvage wood were shocking I started thinking maybe I would not be able to afford to finish my garage ceiling I wasn't looking for anything special just something better than drywall

Then my sweet wife reminded me about Gray's I thought wow your right

So after we got back to the beach I went on in there and before I even got out of the car one of the yard guys was asking what he could help me with I told him what I was after and in about 15 minutes I had a great deal on just what I had been searching for

So if you don't want to waste a whole day of looking around GO TO GRAYS FIRST

I'll bet they will have what you really really want at a price that you can afford

And don't forget to give the yard guys a few bucks for a hot lunch or dinner
You don't get service like this anywhere else and it will make you feel like a BIG SHOT

i sure enjoy the way guys out in the yard take care of me , and work so hard to make sure i purchase the wright lumber and then cut it for me .the prices are good and the candy bowl is always full. thanks jimmy

Went to buy some wood - surprise! They were very nice and helpful, and knowledgeable. Loaded up all the wood I needed, and I was on my way.

The employees are very helpful suggesting what materials are available and then loading it for you. The owner is pleasant and fun to talk with. The prices are much lower than local lumber stores. The wood is not grade A material but it was sufficient for my needs. I built these two projects with Gray's lumber. A 10' x 10' storage shed and a cedar flower box. I will most definitely go back when starting my next project.

Had an "interesting" experience. The woman at front desk, I believe is the owner, she was friendly and informative. The price and quality were very good. We decided what we wanted which was 2 pieces of plywood cut a certain way to make a bed board to go on top of the box spring of a queen size bed.

My daughter wanted the boards cut in a way so that the seam between them would be horizontal and the shorter piece would be at the foot of the bed. Allowing for better weight distribution where the the most weight from torso and hip/butt area is.

We went with the man who was to cut the wood and my daughter had a VERY difficult time attempting to have him understand exactly how she wanted it cut. He even said he'd pay for it if she didn't like how he cut it the way he wanted.

Eventually, he acquiesced and cut it the way she, the customer, wanted it. But it was an unpleasant experience that could have been avoided by him listening to the customer.

We can allow for the possibility that it was at end of day near closing time, however, his time dealing with us would still have been shorter had he been willing to more patiently listen than by being gruff, pushy and irritated by what she wanted.

Bill is always willing to share about the right hardware, and prices are exceptionally reasonable. It has been so seldom, can count on one hand how any times I have found prices less than offered here, and employees are amenable, and will go the extra mile to assist customers. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years.
