I highly recommend this business. We needed an emergency repair as we were driving across the country. Our roof membrane came loose at the front of our travel trailer during a wind stormand was in danger of ripping completely off. The owner stayed a little late to look at the damage and gave me a very quick assessment and rough idea of cost. We stayed in a hotel that night and they made the repairs the next day, but the glue had to set so we stayed another night and we were able to pick it up first thing the next morning. Super happy with The quality of work and how quickly they were able to get us back on the road. Five stars, A+, plus!!

Also important to mention that Allstate covered the full cost of this repair.

I went here to get a fan for one of my a/c units, they did not have one in stock but did have some used units outside. I was able to find one that would work. They just gave it to me. I am from out of town and this was very much appreciated. The temperature today was close to 100 so this was a life saver. Thank you very much

Road life isn’t always smooth sailing, but sometimes you meet the right people at just the right time. While heading to Billings, MT for work, our 5th wheel thermostat decided to call it quits. With no luck in Rapid City, SD, we started calling ahead to every city on our route… and came up empty.
Then we took a chance on Gillette RV Tech, and are we glad we did! Josh met us when we arrived, quickly installed the new thermostat (yes, they had the part!), tightened a couple of loose screws, and had us back on the road in just 15 minutes.

What a great experience getting our 5th wheel bedroom slider fixed with Gillette RV Tech!
We made a detour in our travels to get our 2019 Montana 5th wheel inspected (yearly insurance requirement) and bedroom slider fixed, and it was worth it. Mike, the owner, was very professional and honest. He took into consideration that we are full timers and not only fixed the issues with our bedroom slider (shody work by previous repair shops) but spent the extra hours with employees to complete the work in one day - Very Much Appreciated.

Super friendly and helpful. They took a look at our camper last minute, and told us what we needed to fix it. We were traveling thru, so we decided not to stay. They didn't charge us to look at it, but we left a tip to thank them anyways. Great service, and we highly recommend them.

While vacationing at the Devil’sTower, our truck camper was damaged in a severe hail storm. All the vents were destroyed. We contacted several RV dealers in the area and Mike Castellanos with RV Tech in Gillette offered to help get us back on the road. We visited him at RV Tech and he made every attempt to find replacement vents for the roof. When he found they were not available, he sealed our vents and we survived another hail storm because of his help. If I lived near Gillette, we would be regular customers of RV Tech.

We can’t say enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️about our recent experience with Gillette RV Tech! We are 10 days into our month long “out west” vacation when we had a smoking wheel bearing on i90. Providence has it that we had cell phone service and access to a highly rated RV Tech nearby! I called and spoke with them and our AAA tow took our camper (on a flat bed) to their garage. Mike, the owner, couldn’t have been more gracious, kind and helpful!! Men like him are few and far between nowadays. He and his crew diagnosed our issue and Mike himself ran to get the needed parts. And in less than 2 1/2 hrs we were back on the road! THANK YOU so very much Mike & crew!!

My FR3 motor home started having some electrical glitches I was kind of panicking about. They got me in right away and it was obvious they knew RV’s. Talk about friendly and professional. I was having issues with my camper where the slide was not working properly. Mike was very good with explaining to me what was causing the problem and answered all the questions that I had. He had it fixed in a short amount of time. The entire staff was very friendly as well!!!

We were travelling and our truck broke down...unhooked our LQ trailer...truck in dealership for 2 days...needed RV parts...they delivered the parts to our location so we could do a repair since we had time on our hands. Mike with Gillette RV Tech has always done great work on my 5th wheel. I had trouble with my auto leveling system when I was in Craig Colorado. I called Mike on his cell phone and he walked me through the procedures to correct the problem until I got back to Gillette. Mike and his crew of RV tech do fantastic work and double check their work to make sure it’s done properly. Last year I had RV Tech repack my wheel bearings before my trip to Arizona and check my brakes. This year they fixed my auto leveling system repaired my water pump and changed several seals and lubricated all the of them.

Mike and Carolyn are just about the nicest and most professional people you could ever deal with. I called to see if we could get a pre-trip check coming up in less than 2 weeks and was told they were booked. That was fair because I didn't give much notice. The next day Carolyn called and said they had a window where they could work us in. It turned out to be more than just a spring tune up. There were MAJOR issues with the slide and Mike spent hours fixing it for us. I cannot thank them enough. Certainly, there were other things going on too and Mike fixed them all. After, we had a little trouble with the 5th wheel and the guys came out to help...in thick sticky mud!! You guys are the best and we now have our forever local RV repair and supply shop!!

Mike and Carolyn are absolutely amazing people to work with. Mike had me drop off my motor home on Sunday so he could get an idea of what had to be done. I checked in with him today and he had it finished and ready to come home. Very reasonable also.

My camper got struck by lightning and Mike was able to help get it trouble shot so we could use it for a trip we had coming up. And after we returned he was able to get everything fixed and turned into insurance.

Mike and his crew are professional, knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. We took our coach in for annual service, and two days later are much comforted that all house systems are go for an extended trip coming up soon. His rates are reasonable, and everyone in his shop is helpful and pleasant to deal with. This was our second experience with these folks, and last year it was the same. Gillette RV Tech is our go-to shop, and we highly recommend them!

Pretty sure 5 stars don't do these guys justice. Like every other review, we were just passing through and had a water leak and A/C issue pop up. Called and spoke to Mike and he said to go ahead and bring it in, they would fit us in - that afternoon. After about an hour and half, we were back up and running and with sound advice for my million other questions. Both Mike and Bert are great and soo appreciated. Wyoming people are awesome . Hopefully we never need to call them again, but would happily do so if necessary!

Awesome place! I was in town on a service call and couldn’t find parts, and these guys helped me find the parts I needed and pointed me in the right direction of where I needed to find wiring diagrams and over seemed every knowledgeable in their field. On our first big trip away from Iowa in our new camper, we had a scare in the middle of the night when our gas alarm went off and we could smell gas. We were on our way to Cody, WY and called our dealer who Googled the closest place and found Gillette RV repair. We called and Mike said we could stop on our way through and he'd get us in. After an inspection, he quickly found it was a simple fix and we were on our way in no time! Thanks so much for your help, Mike!

Had water coming in to our RV at a slideout. Figured that the slide's awning came loose. With about 2500 miles until home/returning our rental RV, waiting was not an option.
Found Mike via Google search and drove up to his place. He really managed to have our issue fixed the same day and worked after regular business hours for it. The price was more than reasonable and he even dealt with the rental company directly for invoicing. Mike was super friendly and open for a chat while professionally doing the job.

We checked in High Plains RV in Gillette WY and on the second day the power plug malfunctioned causing our air conditioner to go out. Mike sent his service tech out very quickly. He was courteous and replaced a capacitor but ended up having to order a new control board for it. We were leaving the campground the next morning so he worked late to replace it and make sure our a/c was working. Thanks to Alan and Mike for keeping us on track for our next reservation.

We had trouble with a slide on our Seneca while visiting the National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette, WY. After doing a Google search, we found Gillette RV Tech and gave Mike a call. He was most accommodating; setting up an early morning appointment. Mike is a masterful repairman. But, more than that, he is personable, honest and fair. Our slide was repaired in less than two hours for a very reasonable fee. Hats off to Mike, the BEST RV REPAIRMAN ON THE PLANET! We were tempted to kidnap him for the duration of our trip.

I arrived at the Devils Tower KOA on Wednesday, and the slide out on my trailer go out about 1/3 of the way and quit. No in, no out. I looked online for mobile RV repair and most were at least 100 miles or more away. Mike is in Gillette, so not quite as far. I gave him a call. He said he was really busy, but always makes time for emergencies. We talked on Thursday and he said he would make it on Friday. He arrived in the afternoon, quickly located the problem (a sheared pin on the slide motor), fashioned a new one and said it should get me through the rest of my trip. . A very nice guy, reasonable price and I highly recommend him.

Our camper was hit by someone running a stop sign and hitting it where it was parked (off street). There was alot of damage. Mike did an amazing job and in a very timely manner.

I am New to RVing and asked mike to check out a used camper I just purchased...(Yes the smart thing would have to have done this prior to purchase) anyway Mike inspected everything and gave me a clean bill of health. Mike is knowledgeable, honest, and I highly recommend him and his services.

When no one else answered my call for help while stranded on the side of I90 eastbound with a shredded tire and broken axle, Mike who owns Gillette RV Tech Services came to my rescue on a Sunday evening and helped me get my 26 foot trailer off the hwy and to his shop and had me up and running in just a few days!!

We were traveling through town and had a blow out which damaged the brake lights and slide wires. We called lots of places but they wouldn't get us in for a week. We damaged our truck connector plug when unhitching late afternoon. Called Mike and he told me where to purchase a new one, and to call him if I had issues installing the new cable. Of course, I had issues, and Mike was out after 5pm and got it all working correctly. He was nice enough to boost my ego by informing me the new cab,e wasn’t wired correctly. GREAT TECHNICIAN AND HUMAN BEING. We’ll worth the money. Will advertise him to our RV group.

We discovered we had a faulty water valve just as our guests were coming into town to stay in it. Mike came over the same day and was able to come up with a work around to make it work. Came two days later and installed new valve. He's very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend him!

Mike took our call on a Saturday night about a broken slide he came right out. Even though the issue was more serious than could be taken care of at the campsite, he did his best to make everything secure and genuinely cared about our situation. We would highly recommend Mike to any other RV’er for his professionalism, and care for our situation!
