My van broke down nearby over the weekend, I contacted them and they found me a tow truck and took me in right away to find the issue, they got the parts and fixed it asap and got me back on the road, and also at a very reasonable price , I would highly recommend, and also the shop dog is a bonus super friendly

Honestly!? THE BEST MECHANIC! We have used him for everything! From a front end rebuild to a transformation fluid replacement. We just dropped off an alternator replacement on a Saturday at 12 and it was done by 3! He will do you right! And fast!

We ws traveling from slc to Laramie, stopped for lunch and our truck would not start. After calling multiple shops in area to have started replaced, G&G was able to get us in since our truck was on a tow truck. In less than an hour had us back on the road, so we did not miss our nephews graduation.

Nelson was very accommodating when we broke down on I-80 and were towed to his lot after hours. He had us back on the road before lunch the very next day, and charged a fair rate for a fan blade and clutch replacement. Friendly, fast, and honest service!

We were traveling across the country and our alternator was failing on a Saturday - not the best day to have problems. Talked with Nelson and he gave us our options. He ended up finding an alternator in town in stock and fixed it on the spot. The price was very fair and the work done was excellent! Nelson and his team are extremely knowledgeable, honest, and very good at what they do. If I lived here, he would be my go-to-guy for everything auto. I can’t say enough about the day we met them or the work they did.

Brought in company truck to have electrical issue looked at, paid 180 after “fixed” 3 days later issue comes back text him and say hey something’s wrong with it again he says he’ll call the dealership ghosted me ever since, waste of time and money to deal with this shop

My son was having a starting problem with his vehicle and away from home for the first called and after finding a starter for it late Friday and not knowing where to go Tim at NAPA suggested G&G called them and set things up for the starter to be installed Saturday as the only shop open my son arrived at and two hours later he was back on the road including fixing a turn signal/ hazard light problem for no extra charge. His speed of the repair and more than surprising low charge was greatly appreciated as I'm on a fixed income. Will highly recommend G&G to anyone traveling thru or lives in Rock Springs Wyoming

Had a broken CV axle on a Saturday of a long road trip and nobody else was open. These guys got me in immediately and had the new part installed within 2 hours. Great service and very fair.

I had a major issue with my vehicle, found G&G on google. I spoke with Nelson, right way he diagnosed the issue and gave me options on how I could go about the repair.
It didn’t take long for them to have the car running and I am very pleased with their service. I did have a little thing happening after the repair, stopped by the shop and Nelson once again took care of it right way.

Yesterday on our way back to Indiana from a camping trip out to Yellowstone our big old E-350 van threw a spark plug just outside Farson, and once we got towed into Rock Springs Nelson got us in right away and he and his team worked hard and got us back on the road the same day. The team at G&G’s quickly found the problem and had it repaired.
Their pricing was very fair and they got us back on the road quickly. They even stay open late to make sure we could continue our trip.

Our car broke down on the middle of the interstate, and AAA recommended we call a tow truck to take us to G&G. They didn’t disappoint in the least! Kind, genuine service, and they had very fair prices. Plus, Nelson the manager and one of his employees they stayed later than usual just to finish our job before the end of the day. My girlfriend and I had trouble with our van, an older Chevy. Some of the parts were difficult to get, but Nelson managed to get almost everything from other mechanics in town and even took some out of their own cars. Really great work, for a very reasonable price. Can only recommend!

G&G mechanic shop in Rock Springs. Has been our go to mechanic. We had our diesel pick up go down took it to a different shop. They quoted us $12,500 to repair It took it to G&G for a second opinion and he had it back on the road three days later for $700 and haven’t had a problem since, awesome mechanic highly recommended

Absolutely amazing. Best mechanic I've been to. My family was headed from Arkansas to salt lake Utah when my car would not get up to 65 brought it into g and g and he diagnosed it as transmission needing replaced and had it done with in a day. Absolutely amazing well worth the money spent for the work they did.

We broken down on a road trip coming through Rock Springs and towed our dead car to another mechanic in Rock Springs. After waiting months for answers from the other mechanic service team, I got a recommendation from the local salvage yard to try G&G/Nelson. The other mechanic in town said the engine was blown/needed replacing, but after we towed it to G&G, he determined it was electrical and got it all back and running the next day. Saved us a bunch of money not replacing the engine and got the car back on the road after a really slow/poor experience somewhere else in Rock Springs. We were able to work with him from out of state to get it all done. Highly recommend G&G!

Amazing Mechanics Shop! Came there with a front axle leek problem in my f-350, they took me in fast fixed my truck and I was on my way. Special Thanks to Nelson who kept me in the loop every step! We need more shops like G&G along the interstates!

Some of the nicest guys around. I broke down in this town and they were the only ones open. Towed the car in just 30 minutes, gave us a ride to the Avis at the airport, and even disposed of my check books I had accidentally left in the car after I had sold it to them because my engine needed to be entirely replaced (it was sold for scrap at this point). I would highly recommend them.

Probably the best experience I’ve had at a shop. Starting getting some bad vibration while driving through an hour away from rock springs. Called the shop and Nelson agreed to take a look at it. Pulled in just before 5pm and he identified a bad u joint and had the part in and replaced all within 2 hours. Absolutely saved my road-trip. This is the place to go in Rock Springs

Great mechanic shop and very quick to help! We needed help close to their closing time. We dropped off the car expecting to get a quote the next day. About an hour later they called and said they were done fixing the car and were able to do more than expected for a very affordable price! Amazing!!

Go here. We had a myriad of lights suddenly pop up on our dashboard leaving a rest stop near Wamsutter, WY and needed to get to an auto shop ASAP so we could continue our drive to Houston. After lots of searching, we found G&G - which was in the wrong direction but we chose to trust the reviews and gave them a call!

They were able to connect us with a tow truck driver who picked us up and drove the 70 miles back to Rock Springs. Upon arrival, the team at G&G jumped into action immediately - checking the codes and getting straight to work. We got there 1 hr before closing; they stayed late, diagnosed and fixed our problem within 1.5 hrs and got us back on the road.

Nelson Gonzales and his team are truly the best! While we were there, a little kid rode up on his bike because he was having trouble with the back brake and one mechanic stopped to help him out - another testament to the good nature of every person we interacted with at this shop. They can fix anything!

If this place existed in TX, I would make them my go to shop in an instant. This is truly a family business, doing good work and not taking advantage of stranded travelers. I appreciate them so much!

Driving through Rock Springs when I had car trouble. Messaged G&G and they were able to get my truck in immediately. Within an hour, I was back on the road. Nelson diagnosed and fixed my broken shock with the speed and precision of a pit crew. I even ended up paying less than the initial estimate as he discovered there were parts that didn’t need replacing. I only wish I lived closer so I could make Nelson my go-to mechanics.

After experiencing two days of our engine light coming on and off crossing Wyoming we were fortunate to find G&G open on Saturday. The owner Nelson and his staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank God for Nelson and his crew. Had the alternator go out on our minivan and he got our family back on the road almost immediately.

We were headed home from out west when our engine lost power. We had it towed to G&G, and Nelson promptly diagnosed the problem. We needed to replace the engine. Nelson quoted us a price for the labor plus parts. I located an engine out of California and had it shipped to G&G. When it arrived, Nelson sent me photos of it and some parts that were damaged when it was removed in California. Nelson removed the usable parts from my original engine and used his ingenuity to modify some that were not available locally, saving me extra time waiting on shipping. He could have charged me hundreds if not thousands of dollars nickel-and-diming me for parts and extra labor. When we went to pick it up, he insisted that his quote was his price, charging only for the oil, filter, and some of the hoses I asked him to replace.
I am so impressed with his honesty and integrity. He treated us like we were his best customers, not some out of stater that he would probably never see again. If you are in need of a mechanic in or around Rock Springs, I wouldn't use anyone else.

Cooling system This shop and his tow service/staff were amazing. The staff: is a family owned establishment. The lead mechanic saved me a lot of cash and was very knowledgable; determined to get me back on the road. I felt like part of the family and safe at a vulnerable time. The shop was warm and clean. I was stranded in sub zero conditions. They took me in and had me driving before dinner time. I cannot thank you guys enough. I really appreciate your efforts and I really wish you all the best. The owner was super helpful. Our trip was interrupted when a reduced power warning message appeared and the owner dropped everything to come help. He is very friendly and great to work with.

Our van broke down just as we were entering Rock Springs, and G&G was the only place open on a Saturday. We rolled into his place and he was very friendly! When he looked at our van, he quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to get us back on the road a few hours later for a very reasonable price. He's got a hilarious dead pan sense of humor! Wonderful service, would recommend their shop to anyone!

I had a tremendous experience with these guys. I was driving from Jackson to Denver and had an issue with my engine overheating and so I called them up, and they immediately squeezed me in. They found the issue quickly and were super nice to me. I can't recommend them enough...go here if you have car issues.

We've used this shop in the past for repairs and appreciated their prices. The last few times we have taken vehicles in, we have found that it has taken longer and longer to get our vehicles fixed. Communication from the shop about the progress is sparce and only given after multiple attempts to contact them by phone and text. We just picked up our vehicle, which has been at the shop for over 3 months and had not even been looked at. I recommend not using this shop unless you don't mind waiting an unreasonably long time for completion.

My family vacation was saved by Nelson and his team at G&G. Wheel bearing went out 1000 miles from home with 4 kids in the car. They helped arrange a tow and replaced the parts when all other shops were closed. Would give them 100 stars if I could.

I picked up a roof top awning on my cross country trip back home and thought I’d be able to get away with having it pass through my trucks cabin, however, it was too heavy and concerning of damaging my camper shell.

I looked up G&G and kind of blind hope showed up at opening in a Saturday and Beau immediately helped me. We found that I didn’t have enough hardware so he personally went to ace hardware wired me, found the proper bolts and grinded them down for custom fitment and helped me mount the awning all within an hour.

I couldn’t say enough good things about Beau and his willingness to help and friendliness. If you need anything, take it here.

G&G was a everything I needed. I was driving from Colorado to Washington when my engine overheated. I ended up leaving the car at G&G. Nelson was super helpful and understanding when talking with my dad about our plans. He kindly let us leave the car there until we were ready to move forward with the engine replacement. Nelson and Boe received the engine shipment, and communicated with my dad who was out of state.

When I came to pick up the car, Boe went through everything with me and was very kind. Overall, their service was great, and I would definitely recommend G&G.

On a 700mile trip to Jackson Wyoming, I got stranded at rock springs after a loud noise coming from under my vehicle started.
I stop at G&G thanks to a tow truck that stoped next to me when he saw me under my car on the side of the road and told me to go to G&G.

Got to G&G not knowing what to expect, but Boe start to work on my problem right away identifying that the problem was the front drive shaft that failed.
It got fix in a couple hours, in the meantime I spend time playing with a pup named muñeca that keep me company all the time.
I was back on the road again right away after a couple hours.

Boe is an incredible hard worker and kind person.

These guys are awesome! I was traveling through Wyoming when my alternator died, called Nelson who gave me the best estimate out of all the shops in the area so I had my truck towed to their shop. They took care of me the next morning, at a very reasonable price. Boe is a fantastic mechanic, he went straight to work and was super amicable to be around, thoughtfully answering all of my questions. I felt that they had my best interest at heart and weren't trying to price gouge at all, despite the circumstances where I didn't have many options. Very knowledgeable down to earth guys. He'll text you but good luck getting an answer. Good thing I didn't wait to long for a reply or id still be stuck in rock springs. Save the time and go to someone who'll answer you and get you fixed. Even a reply of I'm to busy would have been sufficient but couldn't even get that.

I was driving from Dallas to Boise and ran over a piece of scrap metal that impaled the bottom of my car. My friends called G&G because I was close to them and I drove up and they immediately popped my car up and got the piece out and sent me on my way free of charge! So thankful for the people at G&G for getting me back on the road so quickly.

My buddy got a large piece of metal that got lodged under his car while driving to Idaho. I looked up mechanics in Rock Springs and called G&G and they said bring it right over. I sent my buddy over there and within 30 minutes they had the metal dislodged and sent him on his way and didn't charge him a thing. Its not often these days that people have that kind of customer service. So I thought it shouldn't go unnoticed. Thanks G & G

G&G is a fantastic shop. I broke down outside of Rock Springs and the tow company recommended them highly. The crew stayed after hours to see that I arrived. I expected them to be gone, or at most check me in and start working in the morning. They went way over the top for me. They immediately got to work when the truck dropped me off. The employees were very friendly and funny, happy guys. They explained exactly what went wrong, why it mattered and what they were going to do about it. The team went about their business quickly and in less than an hour I was back on the road. They even fixed something i didn't know was wrong. And when the bill came, I was shocked. I expected the worst, but they were more than reasonable. I am beyond impressed. I hope I never need to see them again, but if I do, I'll know that I'm being taken care of. Way to go guys.

We are Canadians who were traveling across the US from the West coast to Colorado when our truck had a major wheel bearing/spindle failure near Rock Springs. We got it towed into G&G, and before it was off the hook and on the jackstands, Boe had it all apart and had the plan figured out for our repair. Sourcing parts was a problem, so we left the vehicle there and continued out trip. Boe kept us informed with constant communication including photos, and upon our return the vehicle was ready to go, including a brand new tire to replace the one damaged during the failure.
The service, price, and quality of our repair was first class, and specifically Boe is an exemplary mechanic and highly recommended.

They determined that I needed injectors in my truck and it runs better after changing them. Some how they managed to damage valve cover so I have to repair or replace it. I asked them to do a compression test while they were changing the injectors and that didn’t happen. $700 in labor and a month and a half of time to do the work. I get that they were very busy. They said they didn’t have the tool to do the compression test. If they would have done the compression test I wouldn’t have dumped more money in the truck because of a bad cylinder. The mechanic seem to be straight forward on the repairs and let me know he thought it still had a compression issue after the work was completed.

I would recommend G&G. I was traveling through Wyoming from out of state when I blew a water pump. It was Friday evening and all the other shops were closing and G&g was the only shop that was still open. I called and explained my situation to Nelson and he did not hesitate to help and asked me come by his shop and take a look on the spot. They ran to the parts store and had my water pump replaced in very short time and I was back on the road safely. Big thank you to Nelson and the rest of the crew there!

Our vehicle broke down on the interstate and we had it towed to G&G. The owner was very honest and told us we should have it towed to the dealer because the manufacturer was covering it under a recall. He could have taken our money for a new engine job!! Very professional, helpful and honest.

Terrible customer service. I asked if I could leave my vehicle until the morning to pick it up and the man was very rude and told me no. They put forth no effort into solving my issue and were very unprofessional during the final payment transaction. No one could figure out a price and it seemed like they were just making it up. They even made me back my vehicle out of a very tight space instead of moving the car behind me. Over all this place is absolute garbage never use them..

We were traveling to California and broke down in Rock Springs. Checked many shops and ended up at G & G. Nelson was so helpful. He was able to get us back on the road in 2 days when other shops said it would be a week. They even gave us a ride to our hotel. Ended up sending one of his guys after the part we needed to get us back on the road sooner. Great service and prices. We would highly recommend this shop.

We had an emergency that left us on the side of the road leading to the highway. G&G was able to help us, get us out on the road the same day, and we were able to make it all the way to Oregon with Nelson's repair. We can't say enough how helpful and kind he was to us in a time of serious need. Very reasonably priced for what he did for us, if we could give more than 5 stars we would! Seriously if you're in the area you should go here. If you have an emergency and you're in the area, this is the place to go! We called them and said we were traveling and he said that they could help us no matter what. Amazing service, I've never had a better mechanic help us in an emergency.

We broke down about 60 miles out from Rock Springs and were towed in. We had a conference to make in Colorado Springs and were desperately needing our van repaired by the time we headed home. Nelson and Bo (not sure of spelling) had it done the day before we were due back through. They came through in a HUGE way.
