Gem City Roofing

Had the company come out to investigate a leak. Company went on the roof, caulked a few lines around the pipe jack, and called it good. They did not do a water test to ascertain where the leak was coming from, nor did they test to ensure the leak was stopped. After they left, it rained and the leak was still there. I called and asked them to come back and fix the leak that was not fixed the first time. I was told it would be a different estimate since they had to go back out. They told me that they would NOW do a water test. I asked why I had to pay more, when I already paid them to fix a leak that was NOT fixed. I asked why the water test was not done in the first place. I was told "that is the nature of the business". I did not realize that the "nature of business" was to charge a client for repairs that did not repair anything, then charge them extra to come back and do the job right. Called two different roofing companies to look at the leak and both companies stated that the work that was done by Gem City would not/did not fix anything. Their words were "flashing does not come in a tube". The caulking Gem City did had no chance of fixing anything. Only use Gem City Roofing if you want to pay for a repair that will not get fixed, only to be charged again to have them come do the job they were hired for in the first place. Would give zero stars if that was possible. Call a different roofer.

The wind storm blew off lots of our shingles. Even though Gem City was insanely busy they still got out to us pretty fast. They gave us an estimate that wasn't overpriced and fixed our roof that day. Highly recommend them to everyone!!!
