Western View Painting

I am disappointed to have to leave a public review, but it is clear they have no intention of standing behind their work or honoring their contract and warranty.

We contracted them to paint our entire house, completely empty, in March. The contractor they used to do the work was lazy, got pain on lots of things that should not have had paint on them, did not try to clean up after himself, did little to no repair to walls before painting, and went so far as to skip entire rooms.

We called the owner about the job being left incomplete and he sent the same contractor out to finish, which he did do, but did not do the finishing work expected from a professional painter.

We moved in at the beginning of June (from another city and state) and immediately noticed that the job was sloppy at best, and that something was clearly wrong with the paint, how the work was done, and that lots of places had been missed or done with the quality of the “landlord special”.

We called the owner to have someone come out and finish touch-ups, pointed out how a bare arm would remove and chip the paint, and how lots of fixtures and items were covered in paint. The person who came out to do the touch up work agreed that something was wrong with the paint and it shouldn’t be flaking off the way it was.

The owner came out and admitted that the original contractor had been fired because of similarly poor jobs and unreliable work, and that the paint was done poorly and incorrectly in lots of area, hence the flaking and chipping. He had a sherwin Willian me rep out to confirm it was not a bad batch of paint, but the quality of the work and improper procedure in application.

We were told over and over that this would be fixed, finally getting so far as having a contract to repaint rooms and redo the job, with no dates but a promise to start the beginning of November. It is now November 15 and we haven’t heard from them, despite both my husband and I calling at least once every week since June to try to get this issue resolved.

Both their number for WY and SD appear to be disconnected and after being told that a scheduling manager would assist us, the owner would call us back, we will be in touch soon, etc. etc. it is clear that this company has no interest in standing behind their contractors, their work, or their warranty.

We have been continuing to live out of boxes since June because we have been strung along being told they would take care of the issue asap. 8 months is ridiculous to correct a problem that they admit was their mistake, and should be covered by their warranty. We are now looking into other companies to come next year to redo their job.

They did an excellent job, finished ahead of original schedule, and made sure I was happy with the results before considering the job complete.

So we had this lead-paint filled cabin situation. I had no idea who to call. It's not easy to find lead remediation in the region. But from the first moment I got Rob on the phone, I felt like we were in fantastic hands. He explained the different options and methods to me, and we made some great choices and picked out gorgeous, long-lasting paint colors. Did I mention that this was a REALLY rural area? Rob's team made many trips way up into the mountains to do both the exterior and interior of our house. They even cleared out the old items left in the cabin that hadn't been touched since the Cold War. On the interior, the work was especially challenging as they needed to cover lead paint even *inside* the kitchen cabinets, but they got every inch of it, and were willing to make repeated trips back whenever we found a spot of lead paint not previously covered. Not only did they do a great job that made the place look clean, beautiful, and full of light, but they also took so much pride in their work and were deeply lovely to work with. You don't realize how rare it is to meet people who take true pride in their work and care about doing a great job...until you get a chance to work with a team like this! Thanks so much to all of you...we will be calling for any future jobs :)

This company is awful. I asked for a quote to paint and they came out and said they would be back in a couple days to get some measurements and they never got back to me. Even after calling twice and leaving voicemails. Heard through the grapevine that they were intentionally going to over bid so they didn’t have to complete the work. (Was a big job they could have made a nice chunk of change on) I also knew someone who worked there that fought with them constantly to get paid. They always had some excuse as to why direct deposit wasn’t working or why we had to wait days to cash the checks or why they didn’t have the money to pay them. The owner has no idea how to run a business which is not a good thing in a small town like Laramie. It was an awful experience.

I had practically every room in my house painted…three colors per room. I also have bullnose corners. My home is gorgeous now that Western View is done!!! Precision work, super friendly, and eager to please. I can’t say enough good things about Western View!!!

We really enjoyed Bill and the rest of the crew. They were a pleasure. We’ve never had anyone complete this chore in two days and we’ve never ever had anyone do such an outstanding job. We are pleased with the job they did, your company, and most especially Bill and the crew. They did perfect work, cleaned up, maintained a great attitude, and got it done in a very timely manner. This is what a company staining a cabin should do, and it was very much appreciated. I absolutely intend to be on your list for staining in two years. Tell them all what a wonderful job they did and we hope they enjoyed being up here in the mountains when the fall leaves were absolutely perfect.

The complete experience — from getting the estimate to the final walkthrough of the finished painted exterior of our house was tremendous. The estimation process was free, quick and efficient — Braun responded to us the same day with a quote for the total cost, and then they scheduled the earliest possible start date that worked for us.

Loren, the project manager, was very helpful and a joy to work with. He walked around our house with us to understand exactly what we needed and wanted done, and he made great recommendations. He did a very thorough job power-washing the house, and a day before the painting started, he checked in with us one last time make sure everything was ready to go and see if we had questions.

On the first day of painting, AJ and his paint crew showed up on time and checked in to see if we had questions before they began. They meticulously prepped the house to ensure everything was protected. They were even willing and possessed the know-how to work in very windy conditions! On the days that the wind made it too dangerous to be on ladders, they made sure to let us know when they couldn't continue but would be back first thing in the morning. When the painting was done, they did touchup and cleanup and did a final walk-around with us to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. AJ and his crew did a masterful job, and the finished product was more than we hoped for. We highly recommend them!

From estimating with Braun, scheduling with Loren, and working with Zach, Wyatt, and Noah I felt confident that my project was being done right. Zach, Wyatt, and Noah did a great job painting most of the main floor of my home. and did an excellent job answering all of our questions. They were prompt and ready to work everyday with a good attitude. I hope I get the chance to work with WVP again in the future!

I finally got the popcorn ceiling removed from my front rooms after 40 years and that one room that never got painted 22 years ago caught up with the rest of the house. What a difference it makes! From initial contact with Patty, prompt scheduling for an estimate with Jim, follow-up details like paint selection with Ben, this whole project was a dream come true. No excuses, delays, or budget overruns! Bryant was my crew leader. He is great at making sure all his crew has everything they need to stay on-task at all times. Brian and Zan were my heavy lifters for furniture removal and return and all things in between. I appreciate the great care Parker and Keith took with my antiques when bringing them back into the house. Stasia was the only lady on the crew. She is terrific a taking care of any little concerns I expressed and has a real steady hand with the trim brushes. One thing that impressed me with this project crew was their comradery. They all did whatever needed to be done with professionalism and humor. So nice to hear people enjoying their jobs!! Super job, super support, super crew. I recently had Wyoming View Painting renew the exterior of my family's 70+ year-old house in Laramie. I use the word "renew" rather than simply "paint," because they literally transformed the appearance. Although the selection of the colors was mine, they consulted and worked with me to maximize my vision. After so many decades with the same old paint profile, we spiffed it up with a "tuxedo" look! I am absolutely delighted! Everyone, both management and crew were experienced, professional and willing to share little tricks of the trade with me for my smaller projects. I am a picky person and I found their execution excellent. I cannot recommend them more highly. Noah, Tyler and Zak worked tirelessly to make sure I was satisfied, and I especially want to recognize Zak who worked alone and into darkness the last full day taking care of final details. Wyoming View Painting painted the exterior trim and doors of my metal pole barn. They were extremely communicative and had fast responses (faster than everyone else we reached out to). They were also the best price of our quotes! Braun was kind and helpful the whole time, and Loren might be the nicest human (with a fantastic smile!). Both were very professional and helpful. We are thrilled with the staining of our mountain cabin and deck by Wyoming View Painting. Our poor cabin in the high elevation Wyoming winters did not fare well with years of neglect. Wyoming View Painting brought our cabin back to pristine conditions. We especially appreciate the close and friendly communication we had with Loran, the project manager as the project progressed. Loran also did some minor carpentry work by installing new stairs to our deck.

What is unique, perhaps, for our situation is that all interactions had to be remote. We live in Maryland and we put a lot of trust in Wyoming View to bring our project to completion without our being on site. Loran took pictures as the work progressed, and responded quickly and appropriately to any question. From one picture, it looked like a portion could use more touch up, and Loran had no trouble following through.

Subsequently, our family was able to see the finished project, are very pleased. What a pleasure do business with a company that takes pride in their work.

Wyoming View was a pleasure to work with from the planning/bidding phase throughout the work and well afterwards with touch up work. There were some areas that I felt weren't as well done as they could have been and they not only agreed to fix it but they came back and refinished and repainted all of my ceilings to give me the end product I was hoping for.

From start to finish every one on the crew (Ben, Austin, Brian, Rob, Matt and Parker) was honest and professional. There was an issue with the oil based primer for the cabinets; instead of moving forward with painting and hoping the homeowner wouldn’t notice, Ben and Parker pointed out the flaw and quickly came up with a game plan to get back on track and back on schedule. Considering the amount of work involved and the amount of time needed to provide a quality service everyone was empathetic and understanding of the disruption in our home routine and worked to reduce that as much as possible. Overall a great crew and professional company that emphasized constant communication.

This was our second experience with Wyoming View Painting and it was as positive as the first. The project was more complicated than previous work as it involved high ceilings and furniture that was too heavy for my wife and I to move. No problem, the crew took care of moving everything (they made it look easy) and did an excellent job, finishing in 2 and a half days. We expected it to take twice as long. They did a great job of cleaning up and moved all the furniture back to the original position. We are extremely pleased which is why they will do our exterior painting once the warmer weather arrives.

Top notch service. We are extremely happy--couldn't be any happier--with Wyoming View Painting. The finished product is excellent, and they really payed attention to detail, of which there was a lot. Our house is fairly large and has a lot of exterior surface and architectural detail, all of which looks fantastic now. The crews were always pleasant, on time, tidy, professional, communicative, and hard working. They paid attention to any concerns and answered any questions my wife or I had along the way--all of which they had already identified and were planning to deal with. They had an 11-man crew going for three days, and then a 2 to 3 man crew for another few days. We were never left wondering if they were going to be there a certain day or not--weather, etc.--as they would let us know. And, all of the crew members had a clear understanding of what was taking place, which shows excellent leadership. There were no hidden charges, up charges, or anything like that. What was on the contract, they painted, and painted well. From the initial estimate to the end of painting, they knocked it out of the park!

I was referred to Wyoming View by the first paint contractor I called who could not take my business but remarked that they had heard of and seen great work by Wyoming View. I called them and they were able to schedule my job very quickly, and they were very easy to work with. I wasn't around for the work, but I returned home to be very pleased. They did an excellent job and it was relatively affordable. I will definitely call them for my next job.

My 30-year old house had a serious and worsening paint problem. The paint film was separating from the wood siding in a process the Sherwin-Williams expert called “delamination”. It was probably related to sun damage before the first painting. The only solution, the expert said, was proper surface preparation, an oil-based primer, and two coats of his best latex paint.

I called Wyoming View Painting because of the great job they had done on a neighbor’s house. Rob agreed to do what Sherwin-Williams recommended.

The thick, heavy primer brushed on about as easily as cold tar, but Chad kept at it until it was done properly. Then he did a great job spraying on the two coats of latex. All done with a high level of professionalism and good cheer. The finished product looks wonderful and is holding up perfectly. The job on my house speaks loudly in favor of Wyoming View Painting.

I had Wyoming View Painting caulk and stain my cabin near Centennial, WY last summer (2018). They also replaced/repaired several boards damaged by woodpeckers. They did an excellent job and the place looks great. They were pleasant to work with and came when promised. I plan to use them again next year.

Robert and Wyoming View Painting completed some of the best service I have ever received from a contractor in Laramie. They more than flexible, considerate, and competent and finished the job excellently. This is not to say everything was perfect on either side of the deal, but the small hiccups made their service stand out even more. If, perhaps, true character is seen in challenges, Wyoming View Painting stands above the rest. I only wish they did more than painting.

Wyoming View Painting painted the exterior of our home in June and just completed refinishing our deck this week. Both jobs required a great deal of prep work (the secret to a first-rate result) which included pressure washing, scraping, sanding and priming before applying top grade paint to the house. The deck (with three coats of chipped, peeling paint!) had to be stripped, scraped and sanded before applying stain. It was a huge job and the deck looks amazing. Rob and his great crew are totally professional in every way - from estimate to cleanup - and deserve all five stars (and more). These good folks have our highest recommendation and deepest appreciation for a job well done.

On the initial visit with Robert ( I believe he is the owner of the business) He consulted us , and that was very helpful as my wife and I had not hired a house painter before.
