This was my first experience as a homeowner with replacing a roof. We had known water intrusion and ventilation issues. We also replaced four skylights in the same roofing project.

We solicited bids from three companies and selected Geek Roofing in our group due to the number of homes in our neighborhood that Geek re-roofed last summer.

Of the three we contacted, Geek overall met our needs. Alex was quick to respond to our request for a bid, and did an excellent job of covering the services and materials they provide. He answered any questions or concerns we had. He was quick to provide us with shingle samples when we were deciding between a few colors.

Their pricing bid was in line with others we contacted. Alex was very up front with pricing and managing expectations of what can happen with any price increases/change orders as they begin to take the old roof down. Since we were already aware of our issues, we were not surprised by the two moisture issues they uncovered. Change order items were run by us with a thorough explanation. If you have never had a roof replaced before, I would expect to add 5-10% to your price to cover any issues that are uncovered.

Communications about the project's flow were also clearly conveyed by Alex and our project manager, Ty. Ty reached out to us before the project started to remind us of what to expect from the crew's timing and how to prepare for the work. We have three dogs, so we had to coordinate and navigate getting them around while we were in an active construction zone.

Ty communicated at the start, middle, and end of each day to let us know when the crew would arrive, how the work was progressing, and when work was complete for the day. Due to the size of our roof, we had a larger crew, and they completed the roofing portion in two days. They spent a few hours the day before ensuring the perimeter of our house was protected from the work elements. The crew tidied up at the end of each day so our dogs could go out back. They returned the morning of the last day to do a final clean-up, and boy, they were spotless on the clean-up!

Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the product and the process. Alex, Ty, and the roofing crew were wonderful, and their customer service was spectacular. I highly recommend the Geek Roofing team!

The crew was incredibly courteous throughout the entire project, always taking time to explain what they were doing and making sure I was comfortable with each step. My main complaint was that we were charged an extra $800 on the day the crew arrived because some necessary materials were missing from the contract we signed, which was a bit frustrating.

Overall though, we are happy with the results.

Overall, I would recommend Geek Roofing; however, our experience with them was not entirely seamless.
The scope of our project included getting a new roof, replacing two skylights, properly connecting our attic vents, adding an additional vent, and removing the roof portion of our chimney. We were having the interior chimney removed immediately after the roof was finished, so that part was time-sensitive.
The team was able to fit us in between bad weather to keep us on schedule with our interior work, and they hustled to finish in half the time that was projected, ahead of the next big batch of storms. The workers were all very nice and seemed to be competent roofers (coming from someone who knows nothing about roofing). They didn’t damage any of our exterior property, including a play structure we were nervous about. Everyone was good about checking in with us via group text and sending pictures of their progress. The finished project looks great and has so far held up through many storms over the past couple of weeks. We haven’t found any nails or dangerous debris in our yard, and they cleaned our gutters, installed new gutter screens (they recommended purchasing new, better screens instead of reinstalling the old ones, which was in our contract), and power-washed our driveway and house following the completion of the project.
We did encounter a few problems during the process, but many of them were resolved along the way. Our biggest complaint is that they misquoted us by $800. We were choosing between two roofing companies, and the quotes were comparable, but we liked Geek better, so we went with them. Then, once they started the project, we were told that they hadn’t quoted $800 worth of material. We were given the option to either do a change order and pay an additional $800 or have nails poking through our walkway up to the front door. I'm not sure if we would have gone with Geek had we had an accurate quote to begin with. We also had some interior damage from the skylight replacement that we ended up repairing ourselves, which added a small, but additional cost for materials. The new vent that we needed installed was put in the wrong location; however, Geek came out and moved it for us, so it was a minor hiccup. We only provided verbal instructions on where it should be, so we probably should have made it clearer where it was supposed to go. Additionally, we found some large chunks of heavy-duty staples left on our garage floor. Thankfully, we found them before our tires did, so no harm was done.
Geek did a good job on the roof, and the team is kind, courteous, and easy to work with. They were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and efficient at their jobs.

I’ve known the owner, Jose, for over 20 years and have nothing but positive things to say. He is an outstanding business owner who truly stands behind his work. His pricing is extremely competitive, yet he never compromises on quality or craftsmanship. If you’re looking for reliability, honesty, and top-notch workmanship, I highly recommend Geek Roofing!

The entire Geek Roofing team was very professional and considerate. I was concerned about mature plants being damaged and they took extra care by covering the shrubs with lightweight tarps (with holes in them). It was a two-day process, and at the end of the first day they cleaned up the entire exterior before they left for the evening. They were very organized and I received progress updates and photos from the team manager, Ty, and his assistant, Lorenzo, throughout the day. The workmanship was exceptional, and I thank everyone in the group for doing such an outstanding job on my roof. I don’t usually get too excited about roofs, but it looks very beautiful!

The whole team at Geek Roofing were incredible from start to finish. Our HOA got over 10 bids for a new roof for 8 townhomes in our complex. The Geek bid wasn’t the cheapest but they were very competitive and for the scope of work, they were the best by far. We needed additional ventilation added for our units and Geek had the most complete bid to address our concerns. They were completely transparent the whole bid process. Alex who handled their bid was amazing at working with all of our HOA tenants.

They had a project manager Ty who updated all of the HOA units 3 times per day with pictures and how the project was going. They also cleaned up every night and rolled a big magnet around the properties to pick up nails. They put out safety cones each day and had safety as a top priority.

Geek got our whole HOA project done in 6 days! The humidity in our unit has dropped by 8% since the new ventilated roof was installed! I did a ton of research to make sure our HOA got the best roof for the price and Geek exceeded our expectations. I can’t recommend them enough for a single home residential job or a large HOA project like ours.

Our house suffered extensive damage in the January 2024 storm and we needed new gutters. A neighbor recommended Geek Roofing and we gave them a call. Alex was super professional and detail-oriented. We provided some rough measurements, Alex and his installer came out to confirm, ask a few questions and make recommendations and then provided a fair and affordable cost estimate. A couple of days later we had all new gutters! The installer was quick and efficient and he confirmed downspout placement with me before getting started. Never fun to wake up to dripping from the ceiling in your bathroom. What could have been a nightmare, Geek Roofing made the process of fixing it seamless. They were able to come to my house extremely fast and diagnose the problem. They were professional and explained in detail what needed to be fixed. Start off with the quote process Steven was very professional and clear on every element of the job and cost. The price for every part of the quote was included and it was the best quote we received. After searching thru local roofing companies and reading many reviews, Geek Roofing was one of the companies I chose to contact for my 1500 sq foot home roof replacement. Someone contacted me the next day. That set the ball in motion on the roof replacement. From the initial contact, to receiving the quote, to completing the work, it was about 5 weeks. The whole time I was receiving communications from the team with any updates. In summary, Geek Roofing's communcation and timeliness was outstanding. Thanks to Alex and Ty for that!
With respect to the quotes, the team came with a couple options for me and exact samples of the options. They were not pushy, but clearly explained the various options, including things that I hadn't thought of. As an example, they installed permanent tie-offs on each ridge of my roof. I am not up there often, but having a safety tie-off is a great addition. Overall I was very comfortable with the quote that I received. I felt it was a very fair price.
The work was originally slated to be completed about 6 weeks after I signed the contract. However, the team contacted me after about 3.5 weeks and said they had a slot open up and could perform the work that week if I was OK with that. I was.
During the work, they sent pictures and video updates. The work took about 3 days. It came out GREAT! Very pleased.
Just yesterday I was walking my dog around the neighborhood and I came upon a lady who wanted to say hello to my dog, and also happened to have a Geek Roofing sign in her front yard. I asked her about that, and she said she had gotten multiple quotes and Geek Roofing were the best deal. My response to her was the same thing I would say to anyone: I believe you made a great choice and you won't be disappointed in hiring them!

The crew got job done in time. They are friendly and cleaned up the debris before leaving. Project manager is responsible and always kept us posted about the progress. Great experience!

José does a really good job on my house. He is very nice and polite and has been working with him for several years. His service is one of the best I know and is extremely efficient.

We got several estimates to repair some siding dry rot and flashing around the chimney on our roof. We went with Geek Roofing initially because they offered a warranty on their repair work (not every roofing company offers warranty on repair jobs).

Great Communication - we texted back and forth several times to clarify and expand the scope of work, and they were willing to take the time to send several revised quotes, even though it was a smaller to medium size repair job ~ $1700

Quality Work - we are very happy with how the repair turned out. All you can ask for in a job is clean, quality work. We felt like the roofer did as good a job on our roof as he would have done working on his own roof. The replacement siding was measured and installed along the side of the chimney to match the existing siding height so that all the horizontal lines were even and vertically spaced correctly. Great job

I wanted to give a shout out to Steven and TY with Geek Roofing. From the presentation of what we would be getting and the value it provided, to the completed work it was a good experience. The roofing team was respectful, clean and a group text with pictures kept us informed the entire time of the project. It was completed in 2 days with no last minute horrible extra costs. The price stayed within the range quoted and no upselling. I recommend this roof company to others shopping.

I'm very happy with my new roof from Geek Roofing, It looks so beautiful! The well-trained hardworking team members, trustful and caring sales manager Alex Mora, responsible and easy communication product manager Tyron Libarios, they all showed great profession with customer satisfaction and happiness first. During the whole project, they took care of my flowers and plants very well, cleaned debris and nails constantly, communicated with me for any questions and requests frequently. It was very smooth process with great pleasure. Besides excellent quality material and workmanship, the pricing was very fair. Overall, they well deserve 5+ stars. Called them to come fix a beam on the porch that was getting weather damage from rain and they came the next day. They communicated well and fixed it the same day.

The team is very professional and their work is top notch. They were very responsive and communication was great. Hiring them again for other projects.

Had them do a full roof replacement. Team did an excellent job, done in two and a half days. Communicated throughout the whole process and no surprises. Will always recommend them to others.

Highly recommend. After a ton of rain discovered I had a leaky skylight. They came out on a Saturday to inspect and provided me with a quote that same day. Work was done professionally and they kept me informed throughout the whole process. They also made some recommendations on other issues they found. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend to others.
