Gage Tree Service - Wasilla, AK

Gage has removed trees, topped trees, ground stumps from our big lake property at 2 separate occasions. Many of the access to the trees we asked for their help with was very difficult. Jake their supervisor, was very thoughtful about how to get their equipment into position to best do the job. He had a radio to his key team members and made sure they removed exactly what we wanted to our satisfaction. They cleaned up any mess and also minimized any impact the equipment made on our lawn area where the trees were topped. This was not an easy job, but they were very professional and had all the right equipment to do the job safely & well! Wow! All of their guys were amazing and worked so hard. We are happy with the outcome as we can have sun on our deck again and not hidden by huge birch trees that also throw their leaves and junk on our deck! I called around for quotes from several companies for brush removal and Gage Tree Service had the best price. Estimator and crew were friendly, did great work. Highly recommend!

Kaitlyn came out to do the assessment/quote and was super helpful and direct with options. The crew came out a few days later got the tree in question down. Super tall cottonwood with a lean towards my house. The best part was watching the lead arborist take time to educate the boys on the team. Really nice to see that level of expertise being passed down. They wrapped everything up in about 2 hours and didn't leave a mess. 10/10 would recommend.

Contracting with Gage Tree Service was a great decision. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and competent. They did a fantastic job removing several huge but dying birch trees in my yard without damaging a fence on one side or any of my fruit trees on the other. I couldn't be more pleased. Gage Tree Service does excellent work and cleaned up the area of tree removal very nicely. They showed the same quality of service as when I used them at the same property 20 years ago.

Isaac (Crew lead), Christian, and Jacob removed several very large trees from our property. All were kind, professional and efficient. This is my first experience with Gage Tree Services and it will not be my last. The crew that came out was from the Wasilla branch and they were outstanding! I had a list of trees to be cut down and 2 more that were on my wish list. They said they would get to all of them and they did. It was down to the wire and the end of the day!!! I highly recommend them. Thank you for your hard work!!!

I picked up three yards of mulch rush to get it emptied to make it back before they closed for the weekend so I’d be able to finish my projects this weekend. I get there before five and the gates are open. I go in to talk to the ladies at the desks and she tells me she thinks the loaders have already left for the day. How do you leave before your business is officially closed especially when you’re not open on the weekend??

Contacted them to remove trees from our back yard. Response was quick and they came to look at the job and answer questions we had. They got us scheduled and when the day came the crew came out and removed the trees and did the stump grinding. No issues with any aspects and it turned out great. Great to deal with and would recommend.

Overall positive experience. Crew was efficient and friendly. Pricing was fair. Work and cleanup was better than experiences with other companies. Would hire Gage again.

Absolutely pleased with the service. Took a day to clear my lot. 14 trees and a lot of under growth. The clean up afterward was an unexpected surprise. Friendly, hard working people. Reasonable price. Will use again if needed.

It's been 4 week sense Their estimator came and looked at what I wanted to done with my property. Told me I would have my quote the next day. Two weeks later the dirt estimator comes out on a Friday and tells me they will get me a quote on Monday. Its been two weeks now from that. Starting January 28th is when I first meet with Gage to get me a quote It is now February 26th and still no quote. Ive called and emailed multiple times with unfulfilled promises.

The 2 young men that showed up to fall my problem trees did a great job and were professional. I Had a great experience.

Gage has performed many services for us for the past 8 years. I sometimes get quotes from competitors just to check pricing, and Gage almost always has the best deal. From tree maintenance to Christmas lights, Gage always do an excellent job for us. Their employees are super nice, too!! Highly recommend.

Really appreciate the community mindedness of this company! They’ve done great work in both Palmer and Wasilla. I love seeing their floats at the various parades of the year!

I had Christmas lights installed. Initial estimate was quick, slight hiccup with scheduling but it was worth the wait. Jordan and his crew worked late into evening in very cold weather and kept me updated with texts as I was not home. Looks lovely.

Well I made a couple cuts on a tree and it started tilting the wrong way. After securing it to the best of my ability I called gages tree service. Within 30 minutes they had a representative there saving my neighbors garage and me a pocket full of cash. Their service was great and quoted for a very reasonable price (1/2 of all other quotes). Then after a quick quote he dropped four other trees in 30 minutes time for a great price. I’m not much for reviews but I believe gages deserved a review and 5 stars!

I asked Gage tree service to remove trees from my property and not tarp my roof. I told them another company is tarping my roof. They repeatedly insisted on placing a tarp onto my damaged roof. When I arrived at my house the tarp was on my roof with broken boards placed on top (not properly secured). I called and I was told that the owner told them to tarp my roof! I received the statement and I was charged $600 for a tarp I repeatedly asked them not to place.

I have used Gage's services both at work and at my home and they are very courteous, fastidious and efficient. They recently removed beetle killed spruce from my yard, one of which was very rotten and leaning very close to the house. The removal crew spent a great deal of time planning the cut and roping the tree in order to keep it away from our house and off the roof and they nailed it! The tree was such a problem that they took the time to have a few different technicians look it over and formulate a plan for removal. I do believe that the job required a bit more time than they had anticipated but they honored their original estimate. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Have used Gage twice over the past three years to remove several dangerous trees close to the house and perimeter fence and Man are they good! Their aerial fallers are amazing and exceptionally talented with ground support personnel very quick and thorough. Exceptional bid and fast job scheduling. Highly recommend.

My yard had a big cottonwood tree problem and I needed to find a tree company to come in and dig up half of my yard. I always get several estimates and normally pick the one with a reasonable estimate with employees that have great customer service - you know, someone I would want to do business with. Gage Tree Service has great employees, starting with Steve, Nate, Dan, and the wonderful office crew!! They worked with me, explained every step, left my yard in good shape and never touched my flowers, even though they had to get within inches of them! I would highly recommend this company for any job you have.

Excellent service and price. Removed tress, cut into sections, ground stump, even stacked, raked, and blew away saw dust from the yard and deck. Even getting an estimate was easy with great service. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing tree service.

Today we had Gage Tree Service here for the 4th time in 11 years, this time to remove 10 trees. We knew their crew was good but today they demonstrated a whole new level of excellence. Our backyard is now fenced, landscaped and populated with several fruit trees. They completely removed all trees without doing any damage or harm to the numerous obstacles. This is the 2nd time we have used Gage. The first was to remove twelve dead trees and today to remove all brush and stumps. Their crews are the best i have seen. Professional, efficient, friendly and thorough. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. Anyone needing tree or yard services could not do better than Gage!

We arranged an appointment and they came out, worked fast and did a great job, were willing to negotiate the price based on whether we were willing to do the clean-up. We were very satisfied with the results: they didn't miss a single stump buried in the dry grass and just ground up the stumps and roots below the earth level so we could plant on top of it right away. What was an ugly, brushy, fire hazard with several enormous stumps is now lawn and raised flowerbeds. Thank you, Gage Tree Service!
