G R General Contracting

I hired GR General Contracting to remodel my basement. Every aspect of my experience working with them was excellent. They performed high quality work and were very good with communication during the project. My finished basement is beautiful. I would definitely hire them again!

The work they do is beautiful! From inside the house to outside, they have many talents! I would recommend them for a big or small job. Whatever you're looking to do, call in and get an estimate! The owner is easy to work with and his crews are nice as well.

We hired this company to take out a door to a second floor porch and install and window with a window seat. After quoting, Gordon never appeared again. The guy doing the work wanted to do as little as possible. We had to fight for interior trim around the window, window seat hinges that weren’t so ugly or industrial, and they never painted it even though that was in the quote. Now, we have to pull EVERYTHING out about 5 months later due to water damage. This is just a nightmare.

UPDATE:
So, Gordon Contracting is correct about the water damming. My apologies for not believing him. Things that still hold true: We asked for a window that matched our existing windows (wood window that matched the paint color) and got a white vinyl window that did not match and could not be painted (certainly not without extra steps that I'm not skilled in doing). I had to replace it with something that did match. We did hire a company to make the siding improvements in Spring as no one would do it in the winter. I've updated my review to be three stars, not 1.
