Fred replaced our deck and did a great job. They assessed the work needed, gave us options, and answered our questions and resolved our concerns. They scheduled the work promptly and finished on schedule. We were very pleased.

After several failed attempts by a different home repair company, we reached out to Mark Fessenden at Fred to handle a project for us. Mark oversaw the project expertly, was responsive throughout, and we couldn't be happier with how the process went and the end result.

In the fifteen years we’ve owned our home, this was the singlebest experience we’ve had with a contractor. They remodeled our basement with a beautiful finished product, completed early and under budget. Can’t recommend highly enough!

The team of Steve, Ivan, and Rocky prvided an outstanding result, completing our project on time and on budget. FRED came through very well yet again!

This is the second project FRED has done for us. Estimate was exact and provided detailed information on what was to be done. When more damage to insulation was discovered upon removal of exterior wood panels, the additional repair as easily made and fairly added to estimate. The craftsmen, Ivan and Julio, were very professional and determined that any questions we had were answered and that we were satisfied. Our only concern was that after the project was completed, no management-level persons contacted us to see how everything went. This request for a Yelp review is the only communication.

They did an excellent job repairing my basement wall and ceiling. The one down side is bad lack of communication. In order to get to the point where the work was to be started, I had to constantly email and call the case worker, trying to get answers. I was also supposed to have a followup phone call about getting my walls painted, but Fred home improvement simply blew me off and never called back.

Nice work by FRED on our bathroom renovation. Izzy was fantastic! Not only was he a skilled craftsman, but he had clear answers to our questions and kept us filled in on each step of the project. That level of communication is rare among contractors these days.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Professional, excellent communication, planning and execution. Clean worksite and good cleanup at end of project. Efficient response to warranty issues. Will use again and would recommend to anyone.

The team did a great job with a small task for us--installing a custom window--and took the time to add a new frame even though that wasn't included in the plan, but so it would look better. The FRED folks are always courteous and professional. I highly recommend them.

FRED saw my through a massive repair -- essentially the replacement of one side of my house. It was supposed to be a small job, but it grew and grew as the extent of water damage and rot was revealed. I love working with Fred Home Improvements. They show up on time, do superb work, clean up after the work is done and are friendly and knowledgeable. I have used them for a multitude of tasks, large and small for nearly twenty years. Not only is the work done correctly, but their craftsmen take the time to educate me on how the issue occurred and the steps I can take to prevent similar mishaps in the future.

I had two different workers on different days. They both had trouble listening to the most basic of instruction. "I want a wire run from this spot *point* to this spot *point* staying along the wall so it's not visible on the ceiling"

10 min later I stop by, hes setting the wire across the ceiling in plain sight. Then he kindly checks with me where those endpoints were that I had pointed out, completely mixing up where I was pointing physically in front of his face 10 minutes ago. I've never struggled so much with assistants, and actually lost time on my project thanks to having to watch over their shoulder every 5 minutes and then redo half of what work they did finish.

Couldn't be more disappointed. Even if I was asking them to do standard, textbook house modifications, the fact that they cannot hold more than 1 simple instruction in their heads at a time is depressing.

This is my 8th time working with Case/FRED and I am always satisfied. They are always on top of the situation, and resolve any issues in the best way, so that no burden falls on me. I know they are totally reliable and their work is top notch. You can find no better in terms of quality of work and quality of customer service.

We used Fred to do a variety of tasks this week -- hanging pictures, outside work, fixing a broken cabinet, fixing a problem with the back door stoop. The craftsman, Doug Brenner, was extremely professional and thorough. Everthing was done to our satisfaction, and in a timely manner. We had consulted with a few other companies about the back stoop and none of them were able to offer a solution. Doug crafted his own solution, which not only solved the problem, but looks great. While we have worked with Case Build and Design a few times, this was our first experience with Fred. We will defiitely use them again, and will definitely request Doug!

Doug was professional and very meticulous in his repairs. He dealt with some very difficult issues but the door is solid and leak free.
