Their work is amazing. Use them years ago to build a sunroom addition, a master bedroom addition and now in 2024 a bathroom addition. Workers are courteous and clean up after themselves.

We recently had a full kitchen remodel and refinish of our entire 1st level floors with Devonshire construction . I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. They help design/and build .. was really a 1-stop shop with limited use of subs. This allowed for great continuity and very limited delays. They started on time and went through the anticipated schedule each week - and stuck to it. Alexis really helped make our vision come to life and had some excellent suggestions. The construction was extremely professional and kept as clean as possible. Most importantly, the end product was phenomenal. 100% our style - modern and somewhat minimalist, but with some great color. Finally, Frank jr was great to deal with and just a really professional and nice guy. When do you ever hear about a major renovation that gets done timely, with no cost overruns, and with a finished project even better then you’d hoped? I couldn’t recommend frank Devonshire general contracting more highly.

Frank Devonshire Contracting has come thru for my family more times than I can count. The crew is always willing to help find a way to make things work. I’ve known Frank for over 30 years and he has done a few things for me and my parents, he put a new roof and installed a new rear entrance door on my house in Elmhurst, and he did concrete work for my parents around their pool and built a deck off the house, him and his crew did an excellent job, very professional with all aspects of the job, I would highly recommend him for any project that you might have!

Update: After leaving a negative review we received a call from the owner that he had been in the hospital and that he would like to speak with us. It is absolutely understandable that they were unable to do any work due to injuries but it would have been nice to receive a call after having left multiple voice mails and not having to only havr been contacted after leaving a negative review.

I had them out to do a quote and they were absolutely wonderful. They stated we would have a quote in 2 weeks. Two weeks later we received an email stating we would have a quote the next week. 8 weeks later and multiple voice mails left by my spouse and I and we have yet to receive a quote. We did not have another company quote us for our project as we heard such great things about Frank Devonshire and their work. We are now 2 months behind the 8 ball on an addition, have to look for a new contractor and were unable to get live in child care so my spouse could go back to work full time. They were super nice but if you have a desperate need or any sort of time line I would highly not recommend.

After going for quite sometime without follow up from this company, I left a review with my thoughts. Later on, I received a call from the owner letting me know he had been in the hospital and gravely apologized for not reaching out. We went ahead with the work and are very pleased with the quality of service, work ethic, and professionalism. I have not had very great luck/experiences with contractors in the area. Thankfully, this company has helped restore my faith and we plan on using them in the future. Communication and transparency go a long way and we are very happy with the outcome to our drywall replacement.

Frank & Team were professional & good to deal with. Two of my outside windows had rotting wood panels underneath them, which needed replacement. They used PVC. Happy with the results

I hired Devonshire Contracting to do a large bathroom remodel, changing from one bath and a closet to two separate baths. John and James were the crew for my job. The entire time they were working on my job, I found them both very pleasant to work with. They were clean and courteous and the work is impeccable. I would definitely hire this company again based on their work ethic and quality of these two men. I absolutely love the end result and am one happy customer.

I would like to first Thank Frank Devonshire General Contracting and his employee's for pulling a timely repair off for me in these very critical times. My wife and I were refinancing a rental property when the appraiser pointed out some repairs that needed to fixed before the mortgage company would settle our loan. They literally gave us three weeks to get the repairs done, which one would think is impossible during these Covid times. I needed a new roof, repair bedroom walls, flooring and a laundry rm. ceiling from water damage. Mr Devonshire had completed the work in two weeks from the time we signed the contract until the final flooring was installed. We are very pleased with the workmanship and myself working for an commercial electrical contractor, am very pleased with the constant communication and coordination performed by his staff. They were sending me pictures as they completed certain steps so I didn't have to worry about running over there everyday beings it was my rental. I would also like to add that they completed this work while the home was occupied by tenants, who never complained once about any mess or inconvenience. Mr. Devonshire even went as far as to write a letter to our mortgage company explaining what was done and how it was done, and that it was completed correctly. That shows me how much he stands behind his work. I would definitely recommend Frank Devonshire General contracting to anyone and I will be looking for his help in the future myself.

These people were an absolute nightmare with whom to work and we do not recommend their services to anybody. We contracted with them for a relatively small bathroom remodeling project. The project took them almost five weeks to complete and they damaged the wood flooring in our foyer in the process. The crew sent was a mix of experienced and inexperienced builders, and one was fired partway through the project. Although the bathroom was acceptable when done, the damage to the flooring remained. The contractor sent absolute clowns to try to fix the damage, which could not be done, and ultimately subcontracted the work to an outside flooring installer. However, that work was not undertaken for almost three months after the bathroom was completed. I mean, we got free refinished floors out of the deal, but it was a result of their gross incompetence. The struggle to get them to understand what we wanted done in the bathroom in the first place was a trying ordeal. Honestly, there was no reason any of this should have occurred the way it did, and that it did was because nobody with authority or enough experience ever was onsite to guide the work. The kicker was that they kept asking us to post good online reviews about them! Well, here's your review.

Frank Devonshire built a garage onto a smaller existing garage, added 2 overhangs & replaced the house roof. They also poured a driveway to tie into the existing driveway. This was during COVID-19 when materials were in short supply & not received in the usual time frame. All construction was well done & we are very satisfied with the quality of the materials & workmanship. We are also pleased with the esthetic value. We would highly recommend Frank Devonshire Contracting.

In September my husband and I bought a house in Delaware thinking we had a small $2k repair... Needless to say there was some major water damage due to old windows and the poor construction quality at the time the house was built. Frank and his team were amazing. Responsive from the first inquiry looking for an estimate to the last follow up call when the work was finished. The only reason I did not pick the "good value" and "good quality" in the questions is because they are not good they are AWESOME! I hired them to complete my fencing job when the 1st contractor bailed after ordering the fence. We then had a new 2 car driveway poured and our front door is being replaced in the coming weeks. The girls in the office are awesome to work with, pleasant and upbeat. The crew working on site are always professional and clean up after themselves. Overall I would not choose or trust another contractor for our repairs.

Had my driveway repaved and widened and replaced my patio. Everyone worked hard and the workmanship was fantastic. I asked if they could create a walkway-the team was creative and re-purposed my old patio pavers-it was a great idea and it looks awesome. Super pleased with the whole job!!

Had large windows replaced with smaller windows. The staff was professional and did a wonderful job! They listened to what I requested and always made sure I liked something before they moved on. They cleaned up everything, nails (with a magnet) and all! Would definitely hire them again!

Absolutely the best experience we ever had. Frank designed and built an addition on our Newcastle home. Total cost came in somewhere around $70,000 but we thought it would be much more with all the extras but Frank worked with us to make sure we were able to afford it. The crew was clean-cut and well mannered and they communicated really well so we knew what was Going on from day to day I just want to say thanks Frank and to the rest of the crew great job.

Best work i have ever had. great price did an amazing handicapped bathroom for my grandfather when his health was declining 10/10 easily would recommend to anyone. also did great concrete work and a mold removal job simply the best experience i have had UPDATE: just had him redo the bathroom cieling with a new vent fan fast and easy work still 10/10 any day of the week

Thanks once again to the professional staff at Devonshire contracting . Last year they redid my basement that had water damage from a failed subpump then I had them redo our bathroom and kitchen. I was so pleased with there professionalism that we hired them once again to redo my moms house they did a new roof replaced windows and doors.
