Fowler's Roofing

I have hired Fowlers Roofing several times over the last 15 plus years, most recently to replace my roof in September 2024, which they did an excellent job, even though they were more expensive than other vendors I knew they stood behind their work.
So, when I needed work on my house because the corners posts needed replacing plus a 8 foot section of my fascia had blown off during a wind storm this winter I reached out to them.
I met with their representative, Gage (?) who measured everything thing up. During our conversation Gage informed me that Fowlers Roofing is now made up of sub-contractors working under the company’s name.
So, when I received the quote I was totally shocked.
Just to give you background, I have in the past done a lot of construction myself including building our lakefront cottage.
The quote was $800.00 for replacement of the fascia plus $14500 for the corner boards which I know is B/S
I would do it myself but at my age I’m no longer able to do it.
I checked several vendors and found a company that would do it for under $4000.00 for both projects.
Disappointed is understatement, ripping people off is not okay because you think they don’t know any better, I definitely wouldn’t do business with this company again.
Yes, Fowlers did contact me, and basically they over estimated the job by, $11000.00, so my point is if I didn’t have knowledge of construction would it have been corrected?
Anyway, if you are going to use this company check to make sure they are not overcharging you
