My experience with Fortress Roofing has been exceptional! I was in the midst of getting several estimates for a new roof for my 31-year old home. Fortress Roofing was a referral I received from a very satisfied customer. I am so glad I called Fortress Roofing! Cody Buchanan, their sales associate, met with me and was very personable and professional as he explained exactly what their company offered. Cody's presentation was very clear and helpful, and provided me with a greater understanding of the re-roofing process, and for me, it was definitely a step above any others. Ultimately, I got 8 roofing estimates, and chose Fortress with confidence after comparing all the information I had received. Cody was very responsive, knowing I wanted to move quickly to accomplish this project in May. I was very impressed with how hard working the Fortress Roofing crew was, how quickly they executed the job, and how extremely clean they left my yard, afterward. I had an excellent experience with Fortress Roofing. Cody and Jared spent time with me to address a roof change and a small deck area that required a pitch change. My partner shared some concerning experiences he had with Fortress. He worked with them for years and was abruptly let go without any explanation. I believe Fortress’s reputation as a roofing company is not entirely positive. If you’re in the market for a reliable contractor, I suggest exploring other options.

I have worked and referred fortress roofing to several clients. Every one of them have had great reviews of their service, honesty, and ability to explain what is needed to be done. Their owner Adam Cordon is equally as friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for any of your needs.

Some friends had issues with this company where they moved A/C wires while reroofing, and had them touching, shorting them out so AC wouldn't work this hot summer.

Wasn't just a one off. Multiple house in community with same careless and negligent behavior. Cost them a few hundred dollars to correct this companies mistake. Company thus far has done ZERO to make things right.

If you want to risk using this company, make sure you have GOOD FIRE insurance, as this could have ended much much worse than it di.

I’m disappointed with Fortress Roofing. They redid our condo roofing in Provo and moved our A/C wires so that they were touching, creating a shortage and preventing turning our A/C on this summer. We had to pay a few hundred dollars to have someone come out and repair them. There are several other condo owners with the same issue.
I reached out to Adam with Fortress Roofing and he initially told me that if our HOA wouldn’t cover the expense, that he would. After patiently waiting for a few months, sending contracts to him, we are left with the bill and no response to phone calls or texts by Adam. It’s disappointing that he doesn’t see that his company would be responsible for moving the wires and causing a short circuit. I wouldn’t trust this company.

The most UNPROFESSIONAL and un ethical company. I would highly recommend contracting any OTHER company but this one for any of your roofing projects. The quality is so poor that the price is too high for. Things have broken with their work, and is of very poor quality job. Please contact any other company!

We just had Fortress Roofing put on 49 squares of product and we are so impressed with the great workmanship and results. From starting the process with Tyler who was great to work with suggestions for our new roof, down to the crew and the crew chief with questions or concerns, the process was smooth and flawless. I was so surprised how fas they were, they had our roof demo'd and dryed in in one day. Amazing. They finished up the next day with just an hours work the third day. Cleaned up every bit of debris and old roofing and nails. These guys just do a first class job. I would highly reccommend them. We used the GAF shingle and their system and so glad we did. The product is excellent quality and a great look when done.

Rodney Belt saved the sale of our home - he was fantastic. We were in contract to sell our house in Cottonwood Heights when we had a roof leak. Rodney came out immediately, assessed the unique steel truss system put in place over the top of an old flat roof, performed a structural analysis to ensure the framing was sound, and fixed the roof. Other roofing companies came out and said we needed a whole new roof, Rodney was able to fix it at one tenth the cost of other estimates. Our buyer inspection questioned the non-standard support structure, and Rodney met with them and showed them why it was sound, based on his 30+ years experience constructing and repairing roofs in Utah. I had Fortress roof two of my houses last year. 12 months in and everything looks great. All shingles are tight and they show no problems. They are not the cheapest, but certainly not overpriced for the quality of work. You get what you pay for. They are a solid recommend.

They came in a timely manner and had a new roof on in three days. The yard was protected and cleanup was performed. I had a positive interaction with the company.

Fortress redid our roof 2 years ago. This winter we got a leak while still under warranty. We have reached out multiple times and have been told multiple times their "office manager" would call us back, it's been days, and our roof is still leaking and the damage is getting worse. Go with another company, at least then you'll get a call back.

For most of my life, my Uncle Nile Thacker was my go to roofer, but he has just retired due to health concerns.

So when my husband and I needed a roofing company to give their professional opinion on any defects that may or may not need repair on our roof, we turned to our Murray Citizens Facebook page for referrals from local citizens.

I saw many recommended Fortress Roofing. I contacted them and they responded promptly. They did not hesitate to give a fair assessment of the roof.

It was important to find a company with integrity. My husband and I both felt comfortable with Danny's expertise and assessment.

We don't need a new roof at this time. He didn't try to take advantage of the situation and push a sell. He was forthright about the roof status and without hesitation, when we need the roof we will contact Fortress.

Absolutely amazing customer service!

We were told that our home needed the roof replaced within the next 2 years when we bought it almost 3 years ago. Danny came out to give us an estimate on the roof replacement, and we explained the details of the roof assessment that was included in our home inspection. Looking at our roof from the ground, he seemed skeptical & shared that he thought our roof looked great, but that he would hop up there, look around, and give us his honest assessment. A few minutes later, he was back down on the ground and gave us good news and bad news: the bad news was that we wasted his time, the good news was that our roof looks great & probably has at least another 5 years of life.

Danny went through each of our concerns with us, showed us why it WASN'T a concern with photos, explained how well the past roofers did, and showed us the points that were actually showing wear but how miniscule they were.

In this economy where everyone seems to be struggling, Fortress could have easily sold us on a brand new roof, but they calmed our fears & gave us an honest assessment. It's not every day you find a business with as much integrity!

I highly recommend Fortress Roofing. Danny, Rocky, the crew, everyone at the company was a pleasure to work with. Hardest working most professional crew out there. We could not be happier with our new roof.

I called Fortress and Danny came out the next day. He spent time with me answering all my questions and going over the work they would do. Danny had the bid to me the next day. He brought samples of all the shingle colors and helped us pick the color, which we couldn't be happier with. A couple of days later I texted Danny about getting a color match done for painting the fascia. Later that day he texted me the information I needed - he had gone by Sherwin Williams and had them do the color match for me. Way above the call!

The job was scheduled within a couple of days of accepting the bid and it was done per the schedule. Rocky and his crew were awesome. These guys really worked hard. Two days for tear off and prep (we had 3 layers) and one day for the new shingles. I really appreciated that they used a trailer for the tear off that they hauled away at the end of each day vs. leaving a dumpster in our driveway for the project.

And the crew worked just as hard on the cleanup. Seriously, I've not found one nail yet. They went around the house and yard with magnets to pick up the nails.

And because Fortress is Master Elite Certified with GAF that provided us with an upgraded warranty, including 10 years for workmanship.

These guys did an awesome job and we definitely recommend Fortress for your roofing project.

I am on my townhomes HOA board and we are in need of some roof work. Fortress Roofing was referred to me as a trustworthy company to do business with.
As the work is for the HOA, we are waiting for the independent inspection to come in before we can begin the work. But I can tell you now, that Fortress Roofing is the only company, out of all those I contacted, that reliably kept in touch with me. Some came out to give bids and then dropped off the map. Conversely, Danny, from Fortress, always answered my calls or texts. Even Adam, the owner, was on site for the bid assessment and walk through, so that he would know exactly what they were doing. As long as I am on the board, any roofing needs will be handled by Fortress Roofing.

After getting several competing bids for the tear off and re-roof, I decided to go with Fortress Roofing after seeing the estimator on my nest cam crawling up a ladder and onto the roof to inspect in our absence. Some contractors made their estimates from the ground. I asked that the install take place a certain time of year and they agreed on a specific date with no hesitation. The workers showed up on time every morning and worked into the early evening. Two to three times a day the job foreman would come by to make sure that I was happing with the job and if there were any concerns. He also crawled on the roof to inspect and talk with his crew daily. The owner even stopped by and crawled onto the roof to see how things were going. I could not believe after the work was completed how meticulous they were cleaning up the debris and leaving no nails behind. What great work! Very satisfied.

Fortress Roofing installed a membrane roof on my flat roof section of my house. The work is of high quality. Issues with an old house were addressed immediately and the work performed over and above was complete. Jared was very easy to work with and exhibited a professional knowledge and understanding throughout. I am very happy with a new roof that had been a concern for me for years.

I really enjoyed my experience with this company. They made the entire process easy and understandable. They sat down with me and went over the bid and options. They provided a packet of information that the other companies didn’t bother with, which I appreciated. They were able to complete my roof all in one long day and did a very good job. The roof now looks amazing and I didn’t have to clean up after them! I’ve found maybe 5 nails total in my yard so I am very impressed they were able to take off three layers of old shingles and only miss those few! They were all very nice and professional, I would highly recommend.

Fortress came in after another company had done a roof repair that did not solve the problem. They inspected the roof, gave us a competitive price, and completed the repairs in the promised time. Professional, efficient, and still no problems after 3 winters. Good company to work with.

I collected bids from 5 roofing companies for a property that needed two new roofs. One was flat, 2200 sq ft, the other was to replace a larger 1950s asbestos shingle pitched roof. Adam with Fortress gave the best technical advice, and great pricing. He scheduled me into his workflow immediately, and within a week both were done. The Fortress crew cleaned up very well after the job was done.

If I could give no stars I would. They completely ruined my roof not to mention one of their drivers cut me off and was so close to hitting me with my children in my car. What kind of company allows their drivers to use company property so recklessly. I have a video of the driver being reckless and almost causing me to lose control of my car. It won’t let me post the video but I still have it to this day. WORST COMPANY EVER!

Their estimate was accurate, the price was very good, they use top of the line products, they completed the job on time and the work was excellent!

I hired Fortress Roofing due to their Angies List ratings, and I was not disappointed. These guys are the best to work with. Travis answered everyone of my questions and concerns. Their crews were meticulous on their work and their cleanup. Whenever I had a question, Travis always answered very quickly and made sure that my concerns were resolved the way I wanted them to be resolved. I would use them again in a minute. They were basically done (barring snowstorms) in 2 days, and I had a roof that was a mess. Their prices are very competitive, and their work was excellent. I recommend Fortress for any roofing project.

Everyone has there own experience. For me my experience was great. I received a bid for my roof removal and replacement. The two workers showed up on the day scheduled and worked tirelessly for a couple of days until the job was complete. I had some boards on my roof that were rotted and needed replacement. They replaced the needed boards with expertise and laid the shingles with expertise. I was very impressed with the job done for me. Fortress Roofing was great! I highly recommend them. They fixed a leak in my roof a couple months ago and I haven't had any problems since. They were efficient, quick, and gave me a fair price. Jarred came out to do the estimate and repair and was informative, efficient, and friendly.

Fortress Roofing clearly does everything a little sharper, a little neater, and a little better than their competitors. Those small differences matter when you are looking for a quality job to be done at a fair price. When I called Fortress Roofing for an estimate they said their flat roofer expert was out of town, but that he would contact me and set up an appointment when he returned. I was happy to wait; the truth was I was thrilled they had a flat roof expert. It became clear early on that they are proficient and experts in many types of roofing, and that they weren’t going to try and sell me something that wasn’t right. I appreciated the fact that they were willing to send out the right man for the job.

I didn’t learn that the right man for the job, Adam Cordon, was president and owner of Fortress Roofing until he arrived at my home to do the bid. We had talked several times over the phone trying to arrange a time that worked for both of us. It was clear he had a busy schedule, but he always made me feel like a priority even when scheduling a free estimate. He never introduced himself as owner and president, but I recognized his face from the company’s website. Of the ten contractors who came out to look at my roof, he was far and away the best. He was personable, knowledgeable, and entirely focused on me and any questions or concerns I had. He had a lot going on that morning: a friend had an emergency that required his attention and he was heading to the airport a half hour after completing my bid, but never once did he seem rushed or in hurry. I was grateful for the full attention he gave me. Hid calmness inspired confidence.

He had to complete the bid at my kitchen table, because his laptop wasn’t holding a charge and he didn’t have a car adaptor. Every other estimator did the bid in their vehicle. At first, I was a little uneasy having him in the kitchen. We have three young children and even on the best days our kitchen can be messy. But having him in my house made me appreciate him more. He told me about his family and I told him about mine. But this never once felt like a sales tactic. He was just a genuine individual. When I asked how he got his start in roofing he told me his story. What impressed me most was that he started by doing projects for friends, family, and neighbors. These were people he would have to look in the face long after a project was complete. It was evident that his early start of being accountable to real people still affects the way he does business.

When all was said and done, his quote was not the lowest, but it did offer the best value at the best price. When laid side by side it was apparent that every bid that was lower was cutting a significant corner in the project. For example they wanted to sweep away loose gravel but not remove and tear away all existing layers of the roof. Adam Cordon and Fortress roofing offered a great price for a quality product, and they have stood behind that product. Adam has answered every one of my phone calls pre installation, during installation, and after installation.

I am so happy with the finished product. I waited to post this review until we experienced a couple of significant storms. All I can say is that my new roof is amazing! And even a few months after completion Adam still answers all my calls and questions.

I would recommend Fortress Roofing to anyone. The bidding process was upfront, honest, and comforting. The workers were professional and kept me updated on everything that was happening. It has been a few years since Fortress Roofing replaced our roof but given our experience I would highly recommend them. They were very professional and timely and the quality of the materials and workmanship was a good value.

Fortress Roofing was the perfect choice. I called a few different roofing companies for a bid on my replacement roof. The experience I received from Fortress was what made me select them. Although they were not the cheapest bid I received, their craftsmanship made me understand why. They don’t use cheap material or labor. Very professional work. I had several questions and I always received a returned call that same day. They gave me the details I needed to make an informed desision. I never felt that there was a hidden cost, or that they were not telling me something; the way you feel when someone is selling you something expensive. They cleaned up all the mess from the new roof as if it was never there. When I purchase my next home, I won’t worry about roof issues because I have the Fortress number.

Very pleased with our home's TPO roof installed by Fortress roofing. We did a have problem a year after install, but Fortress made it good. I would recommend them for their quality of work as well as their personal integrity.

Fortress has replaced more than a dozen of roofs for me over the years. They have also performed many repairs, fixed mistakes of other roofing contractors, and have even solved moisture issues unrelated to roofs. They are not the cheapest in town but they are the best and stand firmly behind their work.

At the end of July 2017 we noticed that our flat roof membrane had some hail damage with the help of a family friend. We decided to contact a few local roofing companies and Fortress was one of them. Their website was very informative and very professional compared to others. Within a couple of days Adam contacted us and set up a meeting at our house to perform an inspection and go over the cost estimate. The other companies that we contacted did give us a cost estimate and met with us as well, however, they did not send the owner rather a salesman that was not as knowledgeable. To cut to the chase, Adam helped us understand what was needed to replace the membrane, insulation, crickets, new scuppers, etc. etc. He also cut into the existing membrane to assess what he was going to be dealing with. He noticed that there were two layers already on the roof that needed to be removed. The other contractors did not notice nor did they think about doing so. This was good to know up front as we could have been hit with a change once they tore off the roof. Needless to say, we went with Fortress Roofing. We eventually decided to go with a PVC membrane rather than the typical TPO or EPDM due to longevity, durability and the white color that we wanted. Adam gave us an estimate of about 2-3 weeks before they could be onsite to begin work. To our surprise, they actually showed up within a week. It took them about 3 days from start to finish to remove the old membrane and install the new along with additional rigid insulation below the membrane. Overall, we are very pleased. We were informed every step of the way of what was happening, the yard was cleaned up every day and the finished product looks great. So far we have had some heavy rain storms and the roof has held up as expected. Something that we hope to not touch for 20 to 30 years. Thank you Adam and the Fortress team. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their membrane roof.

I put out a few requests for bids on replacing the roof on my rental property. Jared was the first to respond, with a clear proposal and timelines. He answered all of my questions and I was happy to book it. He came to my house to get the check and drop off a contract and was willing to answer any questions I had. The job was done ahead of schedule and it looks perfect.

I've dealt with a lot of contractors in the valley with various remodeling projects and updates to my rental property and I'm not lying when I say that Jared and Fortress tops the list in terms of customer service and exceeding expectations. Jared seems like a great guy who really cares about the business and it definitely showed in all aspects of my interactions.

Fortress Roofing is one of the best companies I have worked with since coming to Utah. We refurbed our 1957 vintage house in Rose Park and, needless to say, there were issues, the roof being one of them. Fortress put on a new TPO roof and did the gutter and downspouts as well. We had some problem areas with the roof drainage and Adam, the owner, and Jarred, the work supervisor worked diligently to resolve the issues and came up with a solution that produced the result I wanted. It wasnt easy but they were professional and focussed. I am impressed with the workmen that showed up, the cleanliness of the work site at the end of each day and the speed with which they got the job done. I am completely satisfied and wouldn't change a thing. The price was more than fair and I hope to work with Adam and his crew again. Just plain good, honest, hard-working folks. That's the best compliment I could pay anyone.

I shopped everywhere for a new roof. I had 3 bids done and Fortress was absolutely the best. Adam and his crew were phenomenal. First the amazing attention to all the little details and extra care to make sure sharp roofing nails weren't left around my yard. This was super important to me because I have dogs and I was really worried about them stepping on left over roofing materials and injuring themselves. These guys kept everything covered and clean. The next awesome thing was speed. They got it done early and quick. That's rare in today's crazy market. Finally it was the best price for the quality of roofing I could find. 5 stars well earned!
