My story...
Our crawl space had been deteriorating over the course of many years due to moisture and mold. We had no idea how bad it had gotten until one day I noticed the wall was separated from the floor in my kitchen! The floor was actually sinking!!! I knew we needed to get someone in to assess the situation quickly! My husband had seen a billboard for this company so I looked them up online, read the reviews, and decided to give them a call. They sent Danny out to us and I knew from the moment I shook his hand that this was going to be a positive experience. He listened to our concerns and then did the inspection. When he came up from the crawl space I knew it wasn't good by the look on his face. I told him to give it to me straight. That's exactly what he did and I appreciate that so much. He explained everything that needed to be done...showed us pictures and gave us a quote...then he respected the time we needed to digest the cost and figure out our finances. He never pressured us. Our project was a big one. It needed to be done in 3 phases!

1st phase was Mauricio's team.......they came and did the initial clean-out! A dirty job but a great bunch of guys...hard workers!

2nd phase was Jeff's team.......they did all the wood / beam work. They needed to replace 2 main beams along with many floor joists...a ton of work! These three guys worked together like a well-oiled machine. They new exactly what needed to be done! It took about 4 days but WOW what a difference in our floors! Amazing!

3rd phase was Travis's team.......they came in and finished the project by insulating and encapsulating the entire crawl space. They installed the dehumidifier and made sure everything was in working order. They checked the sump pumps and stapled up any low hanging wires...etc. Again, great bunch of hard-working guys! They took the time to answer any questions we had. Travis then took me down to show me what was done and explained everything to me! It looks like a brand new crawl space! See for yourself in the attached pictures!

After a couple weeks I noticed one of the sump pump pipes was leaking. I called the office and they sent someone out right away to fix it. Derrick took care of it. He was great!

I have a finished basement with one small room not finished. It has a dirt floor and was sealed with no ventilation. Combine that with a faulty gutter and you get mold! I got a quote from Fortress Foundations and another company. Fortress had a better price and they could move forward that same week. Fortress fixed the issue within a few days and their competitor could not get to it for 3 months. I am grateful it is fixed especially with all the rain we have been getting this summer. Restoring a 1910 Colonial Revival is always a difficult yet rewarding experience that requires patience , and expectation of the unknowable obstacles that will derail any attempt at a budget .
The surprise came during a record breaking winter in the form of a Rat infestation that included
Gnawing on the new plumbing lines 12 different ones and nesting inside the brand new installation along with having babies throughout the crawl spaces. The result (4 years after eliminating the rodent community), was a disgusting mess and the dampness that encouraged Mold and pieces of the used installation drooping from the ceiling.

Eddie came to the house prepared, lots of science based material, diagrams, product and most importantly, a plan of action that was encapsulation of the dual crawl spaces at a reasonable price. But when the crew showed up, that’s when I realized what a valuable resource this Company truly is.
Enter “ El Jefe”, Nick Burke along with his crew the adorable Dante and Jarred. (My description). In one day this dream team transformed the Hellish space into a safe , clean and functional crawl space that went from 61 degrees of humidity to a perfect 55 degrees. I would even allow my grandchild, Wild Bill to explore now.

Rashad & Cody did the annual maintenance on my sump pump and dehumidifier along with changing the filter....they both were so professional and kind....Rashad did the cleaning of the pump and also replaced the filter...Cody was explaining and Rashaad was as well, explaining a great of many different things on why it's so important to have the Annual Maintenance done...it was explained very well and also good to know. Great experience with Derrik Schmidt! We had several issues in and around our encapsulated crawlspace that needed a remedy (falling tape, cut lining, leaking pipe, bowing vent covers). He took time to listen to our concerns and fix them as well as make additional adjustments to the dehumidifier and pipes to help them function more efficiently.

I had some minor damage to my foundation, at two corners actually. I used their website to submit an inquiry, and within minutes, I got a call to schedule an assessment. Our 1930's home had major sagging floors in one section (a 3.5in drop from the edge of the room to the center) and water issues in the cellar when it rained. I reached out to Fortress Foundation and was called back within 15 min! Danny came out to the house and after doing an inspection he provided a couple of different options that we could go with. He explained everything to my wife and I in simple terms that we could understand. We did not feel pressured at all. In fact he specifically told us that while they were able to do all of the work we wanted, a portion of it would not be cost effective; and he recommended holding off on that section until a later date since he knew we wanted to do other renovations later. We ultimately leveled the main area and added a moisture barrier to the crawlspace. Travis and his crew came out to do the work over the course of 2 days. They were great to work with. They were professional, communicated well, and respected our home. It has now been 9 months since the work was completed and we have no complaints. We would highly recommend Fortress Foundation Solutions and specifically Danny and Travis.

I can't describe how relieved I am to have my basement flooding issues over. After receiving 4 inches of rain this week, not a drop of water in my basement due to the TripleSafe Sump System install by Fortress Foundation. From Danny coming and doing an assessment and estimate of the project to David and his crew coming and doing the work. They called to give us a time when to expect them. 30 years after having our sewer main replaced, our sidewalk and driveway had sunk and cracked in multiple places. We debated whether or not to replace the sidewalk and driveway but Fortress Foundation Solutions gave us a quote to raise, level and seal the concrete that was about half the cost.

Throughout the process communication was great. We received materials via mail that clearly detailed the steps and process in the proposal. Our crew, Alex and Tim, walked me through each of the steps as they were doing them and made sure to consult me as they worked - verifying that the lift of the driveway was where I wanted it relative to the lip of the garage and that the sidewalk repairs were to my satisfaction. I was worried about the size of the holes that would need to be drilled but they are maybe 0.5” diameter and barely noticable. The end result was amazing - an almost 50 year-old sidewalk looks almost brand new. Alex and Tim do great work.

Highly recommended for crawl space encapsulation. Warren Dickerson and his installation crew did an awesome job on the work, kept us informed along the way, and cleaned up the work area when they left. Danny was our sales rep, and his presentation was excellent. When the crew showed up for the job, we knew exactly what they were going to do before they even started. Jeremy Vest and Dakota Rivera came after the installation work was completed, and they did the electrical work that was required for the sump systems. They added three circuits and cleaned up after they were done as well. In all, the entire encapsulation process took 2 1/2 days, including the electrical work. This is a great company with which to work.

7/24/25 Update - We had Derrick from Fortress out today to look into an issue we had in our crawlspace with the recent rains. After examining our sump system, Derrick recommended we replace the home’s existing sump pump due to the float hanging up in the well during the last rain. He had a new one to replace the existing one which was of higher horsepower and better built. He installed it in no time, cleaned up and did a great job. Thanks for performing a great job.

As an update to my review, Fortress made absolutely sure everything was right, even after the installation. When I asked if they could move the outside drain (they installed it perfectly the first time but I was having too much water flood one of my trees) they worked with me and even scheduled to have it done on a Saturday! A total pleasure working with Kelly and Donnie!

The experience of working with Fortress foundations was great from the start. Danny C. helped me figure out exactly what I needed and gave me a comprehensive plan. The crew, led by Alexander was fantastic and they did a very difficult job in only 2.5 days. When I called the company after the work was done about some concerns (not part of the original job) they immediately sent another team out to provide a solution. Overall an excellent experience. Great work that you can trust. The guys-Nathan Owen-Dakota and Mickey all great guys. They came and finished the work that had to be done and where very respectful and really enjoyed having them. Thank you guys. Had to have another guy named Derrick come to work under house and did a excellent job and fixed our problems. Really enjoyed everyone that we have had to deal with. They are excellent and stick to their word bout resolving problems
