From beginning the process to today, working with Cenvar Solar has been one of the best customer experiences we’ve had. The quote process held zero pressure and we felt free to ask as many questions as we needed. Installation was done in a single day and the team cleaned up so well, you wouldn’t know they’d been here unless you look at the roof.
The entire team is polite, professional and responds to our questions quickly. If I could give them 6 stars, I would!

John came out to do our quote - he was very friendly and very knowledgable about solar and electrical, which made him very credible. The quote came in pretty quickly, and John was very responsive in making a few revisions I requested. They also provide the highest quality panels on the market, which you can't go wrong with. 5/5 stars!

Wonderful team to work with, they got our solar panels installed just a few weeks after their roofing team got the roof finished. They went through the process of getting all of the permits and paperwork through the city and the electric company and a monthish later we were producing our own power! Reasons to have Solar Panels generally and with Cenvar Solar specifically:

1. Electricity Savings. Depending upon the number of panels you install, most of your electrical costs can be covered by solar. I relatively have small electric bills in January and February only, and the other 10 months are covered by solar energy.

2. 30% Income Tax Credit. The federal government essentially pays 30% of the cost of your solar panels through the Investment Tax Credit for Solar Energy. You get a dollar for dollar reduction of your income taxes equal to 30% of the cost of your panels.

3. Solar Energy is Income Tax Free. When you pay your normal electric bill, you pay that bill with taxable dollars. For example, if you are in a 25% income tax bracket, you must earn $5,600 to pay a $4,200 annual electric bill ($5600 income minus $1400 income taxes leaves $4200 to pay the electric bill). However the value of electricity you produce with solar panels is not income taxed. Your solar energy essentially pays your electric bill with tax free dollars. For instance, if you produced $4,200 worth of solar electricity in the example above, you would not have to pay the $1400 in income taxes.

4. You receive cash for SRECs. Solar renewable energy certificates (SRECs) are performance-based solar incentives. In Virginia, an average home receives about $400 to $600 in SRECs each year.

5. You help the environment and future generations.

I had been thinking about solar for some time and in the end I went with Cenvar Solar. From the beginning I was impressed with their sales process and knowledgeable representatives. Cenvar Solar did what they promised. They were professional and easy to collaborate. They were with it on understanding and communicating how the solar system would be installed and work. They did not lie or exaggerate and they were clear in explaining details. The system they designed and installed cut my electric bill to $10 the first month. It took a while for them to get the data to upload from the system to the Enphase app but it all worked out ok. I have been pleased.

The Solar Crew we had was great (Sam’s Crew) were very nice and there work on all the application was great , The salesman we started out with us (Josh) was all up to speed on the Sola and walked us Thur options . And our office contact ( Kelly) went out far and beyond to get all of our paper work and all our permits and kept us in the loop on all our progress , I can’t say enough for Cenvar Solar on our project they got all installed in a day and looks great can’t wait to start making power . I was a little worried going with a company that had so much advertising and a dedicated sales force but as it turns we couldn’t have been happier with the service and products. There was no high pressure sales so a clear explanation of the process and in terms of solar the most important thing is understanding how much you want to offset grid dependence. It is very easy for a salesman to give you a low quote but it will not necessarily be as much power creation as you would want. So have to be sure one is dealing apples to apples. The various teams were very good at keeping us informed throughout the process. The handled all permitting and installation of equipment whether it was theirs or the power company’s. The result was exactly as promised. I definitely recommend this company for both roofing and solar power.

The work that Cenvar does is some of the best I have seen. The quality craftsmanship is very evident. Also, all of the employees I have interacted with are extremely friendly and you can tell they are passionate about what they do and who they serve.

I really appreciated working with the Cenvar team! I knew I wanted to go solar and I saw a billboard with their ad and it truly was a sign for me! I contacted them immediately and Carlos came out to meet me the next day. He was knowledgeable, answered any questions I had and was a pleasure. The whole team took care of me and my home. My solar has been online for about 3 weeks and I’m very thankful for Cenvar partnering with me to make my long term dream happen!!

Carlos came over to do the initial assessment. I had already talked to several other companies. They had given me many answers, but Carlos had more complete answers and more of them. When I compared equipment, Cenvar was offering the best equipment on the market, with the best warranty that I'd seen. Their price was a touch higher than a couple other offers, but with the better equipment, they were the better choice. Cenvar also helped me set up financing with Atmos, who tend to be the best choice for solar loans. I did lots of research to find that out.

Permits and such went as quickly as Cenvar could make it happen. Its out of their hands for all of that.
Installation was done in a day. The crew was very informative and helpful and left everything very clean. They asked how I wanted a few things to make sure I'd be happy with the outcome. We had permission to operate very quickly, but that was partially because of a newer meter.

The gentleman that visited after my inquiry was very polite and knowledgeable. However, if he would have simply given me a price via email or over the phone, it would have saved him a 3 and a half hour drive. And it would have saved us both at least another hour of discussion.
And there is one thing that I do not care for and that is offering to call a manager and see if he will give a discount. Just give me the bottom line price and be done with it.
I gave 3 stars because Cenvar was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. I also gave 3 stars because it was incredibly expensive, long discussion and could have been handled by a simple email.
