I Absolutely love this company they was able to get my roof replaced for free with the insurance company I love how the new sales person walk with you hand to hand with the sales process and never make you feel like your left out stranded I would definitely recommend them as a amazing roofing company

UPDATE: I ended up paying the roofing company $1000 more than the original quote. I wrote paid in full on the check and I didn’t pay for the other extra charges that they tacked on without my knowledge. They told me from day one that they had programs that helped pay for the deductible and that I would not have to pay a dime!! They are swindling people especially the elderly with their scam. They finally took the illegal lien off!!
I am right now deciding whether I will give this company a better rating. The salesperson that came to my house said that this company would make it an easy process was very nice throughout the whole thing. The people that installed the roof were fast and efficient and basically cleaned up the yard when finished. It’s the extra money that they slapped on the bill that I’m having an issue with right now and they put a lien on my house after they sent the paperwork in on April 22. I had a lien on my house in a month!! I except to get that lien removed immediately and the extra charges that they added without my consent or knowledge. I’m hoping that they will make good on the our original agreement by the end of this week!

This company is a JOKE!! They get you to sign a contract stating that all you are only responsible for what your deductible is, but they charge double what the going rates are, place a lien on your home when the insurance company refuses to pay their inflated prices after the insurance sends them the authorized quote. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Poor management, workers did a poor job cleaning up and caused other damage at our home. Called management to discuss billing and no one called back and emails went unanswered. Waited several months to get the damages taken care of, but at least that was taken care. Then had to hire an attorney to force the insurance company to pay a new settlement for the inflated pricing. Worst experience I have had with a business in all my years in Florida.

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT do business with FRS. They messed with the wrong people...I can explain everything in detail and have documented proof, but in a nutshell, they purposely neglect to provide necessary documentation to allow funds "already allocated" to be released to them, just so they can place a lien on your property. Very few people have the funds to clear this up out of pocket resulting in a foreclosure. If the victim does have the funds to pay them directly, the lien will not be cleared until their attorney fees are also paid. This SCAM is called a "Property or Land Acquisition Scheme". I fortunately had the funds to land ourselves clear of this company and am considering legal action against FRS.

My experience with Florida Roof Specialists is mixed. The salesperson that stopped by my house was very nice and felt trustworthy. Putting the claim into my insurance company was easy and the response of my insurance company was great. Signing the contract (without an estimate - mistake) was completed with the assurance that I would only be liable for my $1,000 deductible. Once the roof was scheduled and the men showed up, I was extremely pleased with the work they did and professionalism. My new roof looks awesome.
My disappointment and reason I rated was the final bill was way more the what the insurance company agreed to pay. I called and talked with the insurance company and have to say they were very nice and accepting and agreed to pay more on the final bill, which still did not cover the total cost. I will add that at no time did Florida Roof Specialist mentioned or agree to look over their costs and possibly adjust. I kept reminding Florida Roofing that they had assured me that my total cost was going to be the initial $1,000. I setup up a mediation with the insurance company and they agreed to cover more of the bill (again so pleased with my insurance company), but they said there were things on the bill that they just did not cover (two insurance agents I spoke with said the same thing) and said the roofing company should know this. After everything I had to pay an additional $1,000, which may not seem a lot, but I felt that I had been deceived by the Roofing Company on my part of the cost and think they should have absorbed the extra $1,000. I had asked them many times and had text messages assuring me that my total cost would only be $1,000 my deductible.
If you are dealing with the company, please get a quote and also talk with your insurance company about what they will pay. I opted to pay the extra versus having a lien put on my house.

First of all charging 37K for a 2600 sqft roof is INSANE! Secondly, to sue an elderly woman for 21K her insurance didn't cover is as low as you can get. "The ordeal began when she believed a salesman who assured her that a new roof would be fully covered by insurance, she says." YOU are the reason insurance companies are leaving FL because dishonest roofing companies such as Florida Roof Specialists Inc. are scamming & gouging!!! Disgusting and shameful behavior! PLEASE think twice before using this company!!!

These guys are the worst. They put half of a tarp over my leaking flat roof and charged $875 without even discussing the cost of it. The tarp didn’t do jack except trap more water under. I went with a different company to fix the flat roof. These guys then put a lien on my flat roof for the bunk tarp job. I settled it but, man, what a waste of time and money. Booooo

These people are scammers! Agreed that all costs to be paid by insurance company. Insurance company paid $18000 k and then attempt to charge me for additional $8500 PLUS a lein on property!!! They are liars, cheers and a travesty to their industry and in cahoots with insurance companies! I am number 62 to file with Attorney Generals office!!!!

I only put one star because I can’t put 0. If you want to be lied to taken advantage of and just flat out screwed over, this is your company! After getting my roof replaced of which the quality was absolutely horrible. Even had a roofer stop by to point out how bad it looked. I have since then received an invoice that was double what so called scope of loss was to replace my roof. So now because my insurance company refuses to pay because they a fraud, they are treating to put a lien on my house. Absolute disgrace of human beings, with 0 morals or ethics. PLEASE BEWARE AND DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Florida Roof Specialist came and replaced our roof on December 3, 2024. They did a good job. The following day, an employee of FRS came to our home, put a ladder up to the roof, got on the roof without knocking on the door to announce that he was on the premises. I happen to be in the LR and heard a noise. Further, he took leftover materials from our yard without saying anything.Before he left in his truck, my husband approached him to ask why he did not knock on the door first. He replied that he got the materials as they belonged to him. We thought that this was very disrespectful to us and our property. As we had no prior contact with him, my husband called the office to make a complaint. I wonder if they treat all customers like this or only because of our race. I would not recommend them to others.

Roof work is great. Work crew was on time, efficient, and very clean in picking up debris each day after finishing for that day. only complaint is both myself and my insurance company had a hard time communicating with them via email as sometimes it took weeks to get a response from them. We were charged much more than anticipated and that was never resolved to my or my insurance company satisfaction.

Do not use this company. This company has you sign a contract before looking at your roof under the pretense that it is liability issues to get on your roof When I questioned the amount of the estimate, I was told that the invoice would be adjusted to the insurance approval. They tarped my roof but not completely and charged me almost $9,000 for it. My roof sq ft is around 3,600 sqFt. I questioned some of the charges on the invoice and received a lien on my house. Their invoice was almost double the insurance approved.

Predatory Scam company , trying to scam my moody of $25.000 for a roof that’s 10 squares a 900sqft home . Then lied and told her she didn’t have to pay anything but deductible. Placed lien on her home . They really don’t realize who they are messing with. Already have attorneys on it .

Very disappointing. Staff seems to be high in turnover. I was given the run around for almost an entire year after install. Installers were sloppy and even broke a pipe and used painters tape as their fix! They lied about saying they fixed all the things they damaged. I had to get a 3rd party to repair the pipe. The experience was terrible. Managers said they would get things resolved, never did. Not only these things but they also failed to file the insurance correctly. I do not recommend them.

Warning do not use this company. They will add money to job after work is done and after insurance company agreed to a price. They will also tell you that they will not put a lein on your home, but they will for money owed that insurance company will not pay for. I'm in law suit with this corrupt company now. Also they put a lawsuit on me and the job isn't completed yet. I've tried to contact them to let them know and they will not return my calls.

Very good company , although I was very skeptical at first my salesperson was very thorough in explaining the process , my insurance company had denied my previous claim so I was very skeptical to accept their help but to my surprise FRS was able to get my roof approved through my insurance within 2 weeks time , they helped through the whole process and made sure I was represented and not underpaid for my claim

Can’t say enough good things about Jason & FRS. No matter what anybody says they never put a lien, fluffed up insurace numbers or anything. They told me i can do payment plan from the beginning and i didnt have to start until the insurance made the final payment, only reason i signed and took there offer was because of the payment plan , after everything got done my insurance sent a final check and i gave them the check, then i get a email from Dottie asking me how am i going to pay the remaining balance, when i explained that the sales guy put me on a payment plan she said we dont do that and she wanted me to pay the full amount on the spot and i couldn't, she was very nasty to me so i decided to contact the sales guy and he said "i quit working there and came back and now theu wont give me access to your case" but he said he will reach out to them didnt hear anything else from them now i have a lien on my house.
I dont recommend this company since i got lied to with a promise of payment plan and then they said "we dont do that"

Caution: Avoid Florida Roof Specialists! We recently fell victim to a roofing scam by Florida Roof Specialists. Despite initial promises of low costs and hassle-free insurance claims, we were hit with significant additional charges after the installation. After a thorough inspection, they claimed our roof needed complete replacement and that we only needed to pay our deductible. However, 7 months, after installation, we discovered a lien on our home. The original quote was for $26,000, but they charged the insurance company an extra $16,000 in “supplemental” charges, When we questioned this, they claimed the insurance hadn't paid and requested our deductible. We never received an itemized bill ,we prompted them to finally send to the insurance company. The insurance company had no idea there were additional charges.
After much back-and-forth, the insurance company agreed to cover $10,000 of the additional charges. They stated they don't pay for a “foreman” (there wasn't one on site) when there is only one trade on site, that cost is paid for when there are 3 trades on site. Florida Roof Specialists then promised to write off the remaining balance if we sent in our deductible. We sent in our deductible and promptly received a bill for almost $6,000 as soon as they cashed it. However, they have since ignored our calls and refused to provide a detailed bill.
We've learned that this is a common tactic used by Florida Roof Specialists. Many others in our neighborhood have had similar experiences. Are you reading this and wondering what to do about your problems? Contact the BBB, the Florida State Attorney's Office, and Florida DBPR and make complaints against them. Also, contact a lawyer, the insurance will likely pay for the lawyer. This my friends, is why we all can't afford to live in Florida with all of the rising insurance cost!

Worst company ever, they had a sales rep randomly stop me while I was cleaning the roof of my home, he offered and emergency roofing tarp for “ no charge” under Florida law he stated, when trying to get in contact with the sale rep I was ignored and phone calls were forwarded to voicemale, no text messages answered either.
When after almost 3 weeks arrived for a tarp, they were supposed to use sand bags to hold the tarp down, they had a crew put nails into my already damaged roof causing more damage and flooding inside my home. When I notified them about what they have done they took no responsibility, I asked to no longer have their service, I waited days for and email or phone call and received nothing. They then sent out another crew to regard after inspection without written consent or authorization on my behalf, just randomly showed up and started harping, leaving nails in my driveway and yard. They stated I wouldn’t be charged for not wanting to do business with them, then proceeded to send me and invoice for 3,300$ for a “Tarp”.. this is and absolutely terrible business, please do not go to this company!!

FRS did a good job replacing my roof. They were fast and friendly and worked well with our insurance company. Virginia and everyone else we worked with performed their jobs with the utmost professionalism and integrity. The only problem we encountered was that a light over the garage was broken and some plants that had to be covered with a tarp for a couple of days died. Virginia dispatched Mr Germano Rodriguez to replace everything, and he did an excellent job. I tried to tip him, but he absolutely refused. This is a fine company with good people. Five Stars!

Awful experience. Do not use this company. They will charge more than your insurance pays and put lien on your home. I am trying to get lien release at same time I pay because I don’t trust them. Do not sign their contract use a local reputable company and get 3 estimates. Estimate should be free. They will charge you 3k. To not use them. I am reporting to attorney general. 62 complaints. Looking into a class action. Buyer beware! I was advised by Florida attorney general that I should not pay unless waiver and affidavit by your supplier also. I will gladly pay when that is provided. I have been emailing Dottie Daily. Requesting this and an itemized invoice. See bullet #4. Provide the affidavit

They suck! They send a salesman out that make it sould like they are small firm and actually Said his father is included with the company! They gave me a price to replace my roof and I was very andimate that they'll use a product called peel and stick and they quoted me a synthetic underlayment which I did not know was not the same! So when they finished the roof and the inspector inspected the roof they only used peel and stick in the valleys which cost me over 1000. A year in insurance premiums. Then when I get the insurance check and requested a detailed invoice as required by the manufacturer roof for the warranty which they Advanced said they never heard of that, and they finally sent me, I mailed the 1st check to them within 24 hrs with a final waiver of lien! It took them over 3 weeks to return that because they said they misplaced it and I ended up sending it to them 3 times! They finally send it to me via email yesterday which I have requested it to be mailed so it's a hard copy, but I went ahead and mailed the final check this morning! This afternoon they sent me a email they put a lien on my property which will screw up the mortgage refinance I am in the process of doing! I responded to every communication they sent me within 24 hours but they take weeks to respond and are so disorganized they lose emails and and take weeks to ask to resend!

This has been the worst company I've ever seen. Please don't use the company unless you want to come out of your pocket with unexpected money. Dottie never returns your calls and she is so rude. I wish I never heard of this company. Believe me this company is a rip off. Trust me. Con company! Overcharge you for the contract!

Im so happy I decided to work with this company to get my roof fixed. It was a nice process and they had great service. Mayra was sweet and understanding throughout the whole thing. Definitely would recommend

worst roofing company to use. took forever to start. They put a lien on my home until they were paid in full by insurance company. took almost a year to finalize. the work itself was ok except they used workers who could not speak english therefore could not communicate with me. took 2 days in the rain to complete.
the salesman Justin left me in the lerch once the roof was done and never saw him again. he said he would come out to check the work but never did.
would not recommend this company to any one at all. so disappointed.

Florida Roof Specialists have been great from the beginning! Sarah, the production coordinator was excellent in getting our solar panels removed and put back on our roof! We are very pleased with the whole operation! We have a beautiful new roof!!

Because the insurance company hasn’t paid the bill FRS created after the job was done. Me the homeowner paid my contractual bill. But because they overcharged the insurance company, they put a lean on my house. After saying I owed $0. The roof work was great. The overcharging after the job was done is very scam like. The BBB has requested they honor their contract.

I can not get a straight answer from anyone at this company. They promise to call back with answers and no calls or return emails. My lawyer even asked them to call me and no return call 3 days later. They tell me they have to ask their boss everytime. They have complaints with BBB for putting liens on your home and they will not sign the paperwork from my mortgage company to not put. Lien on my home. I have a check for a rolled roof for 25k but I have no details of what will be done for that amount. They no longer repair the inside and that was included in part of the settlement. I do not trust this company any longer.

Fl roofing specialist took the lead in helping us with the insurance company and are found to be very reliable. Staff is awesome!

I had an easy time in this whole process thanks to Adel. She was very patient with us and guided us through the steps in Spanish. Making sure that we were caught up and understood what was going on the whole way. I would highly recommend going giving them a call for your roofing needs.

I do not recommend this company they’re scammers, untruthful and very misleading. They will have a salesman come to your home consistently and convince you to have them repair your roof just to turn around and overcharge the insurance and have the Homer responsible for the remaining balance that the insurance won’t cover. They’re requesting a very excessive amount, 53,000 for the inside & outside repairs our insurance only covered 24,000 and we’re left with the remaining 34,000 with the lien on or home. Please do not trust this company they have been doing this to a lot of people in our neighborhood. I will be taking legal actions and filing a complaint. They also started on our roof before our home insurance could even come to an agreement about the payoff amount

DON'T USE THEM!!!! Everything so far has been sweet and easy. The roof was started & completed the same day . John was the sales representative. He was great. I'm just waiting on my insurance company to complete everything on their end. FRS HAS PUT A LIEN ON MY HOUSE. FRS said they put 31 k into the job. My insurance company allowed 23k . No way my roof was 30 plus thousand for a small house. I no longer trust this company.

So far working with Jason has been great, very polite, professional, and very informative. My uncle has been needing a new roof since the last hurricane and now we'll getting one. Now we're just waiting for the roof to be worked on and done for the rest of the review.
