We have been working with Fix It Construction for 2 years. They do a fantastic job setting the right expecations for their customers and make it very easy for us to work with them. We know you will too!

We had a leak in our ceiling. Owners wife told us not to touch it and to just get a dehumidifier and fan for a week. it Dried out and their mold guy confirmed all was good on moisture and mold. We thought we identified the leak from the washer but we were wrong. Next day we used the washer and the ceiling leaked again. We called them again because we thought it was an upstairs leak with the plumbing behind the washer. Micheal was sent, and without even giving us a chance to tell him to go upstairs and look, he did exactly what the owners's wife said not to do- he took his hands and started wripping out the drywall. The leak was from upstairs and thr drywall could have dried out again- which was verified by a different contractor.

My mom posted a review but the owner responded with incorrect informatiin about the situation. My mom took get review down but since I live in the house and was not only present, but also rented and set up the dehumidifier and fan, I'm posting my own review.

I couldn’t be happier with the work that Chad and his worker Darrin have done! From the beginning and the planning of the project, to the completion of the project, Chad was patient, professional, and highly skilled in his trade. We had some new windows installed and work done improving our bathroom that have completely changed the feel in our home for the better. Any challenges that presented in the process of the work were all managed efficiently and effectively. I am so thankful to Chad and Darrin for their work and will definitely be reaching out again in the future with any future projects.

My experience scheduling the appointment for an estimate was good. The receptionist was very pleasant. However, I would not recommend Fit-It Construction for services. The project manager (Mike) was late, but did call within the last few minutes of the service window to advise accordingly. I was a little aggravated, but at least he called. Upon arrival, my initial impression was good. I was looking forward to receiving an estimate and getting a few projects completed. Sadly, three weeks later, still no estimate! I inquired about the delay, and subsequently began the phone tag game. No messages apologizing or offering any explanations, no e-mailed estimate, just “give me a call”. After returning two phone calls, I’m done. Sorry! You missed your opportunity for business. I’m happy to say that I’ve now completed 3/4 of my projects by using Gorton’s Seamless Guttering and Jeff's Welding & Contracting. I would recommend them both.

UPDATE: I received an estimate on 6/30/23... 3 months later, not 3 weeks.

4 words: they wear shoe covers! They were great. Arrived within the time window and fixed our shower. Would recommend.

We wanted to replace our bathtub with a walk in shower, replace the flooring and paint. the bathroom. The whole process from start to finish went smoothly.

In other areas of the house there were some areas that need trim work and a door install. These repairs were done in a timely manner and the outcome is wonderful. Gary went above and beyond the expected.

I am going to keep Fix-It on my speed dial.

We had started our initial journey on having new windows installed thru Home Depot. Home Depot sent a team to our house that was not licensed in the state of Virginia and walked off the job AFTER RIPPING OUT 3 windows before realizing they had missed measured our windows and could not install the new ones.... We were beside ourselves but the gentleman putting in our A/C recommended Fix it Construction❤ Even though they had a packed schedule they understood the urgency within my home because of the exposure from the windows that had been ripped out. They had a team out and they properly sealed the damaged windows, got the CORRECT MEASUREMENTS, And took a situation that was a complete nightmare and WALKED ME THROUGH IT and getting us SAFELY to the other side. The most polite and courteous people, from the office,too the management, and ESPECIALLY the crew's in the home❤ Took a horrible negative and turned it into the most amazing positive... There are not enough words in the WEBSTER DICTIONARY to express how grateful we were to them. And I will NEVER go through another big Box store again...Thank you Fix it Constitution with all my gratitude Mrs. Richardson ❤

I call to get an estimate for the repair of the roof of the house and install the drywall of the bathroom ceiling. They went to the house, checked and took photos and told me that they were going to send me the estimate for the repair. Several days pass and did not receive the estimate. I call them and they tell me that they were going to call me that afternoon but I never received the call. Never heard from them again. No, I do not recommend this company at all.

The team at Fix-It are second to none. The team is professional, helpful, and efficient. Could not recommend them more.

Trying to work with this company has been a complete nightmare. We have been trying to communicate with this company for the past couple of months on getting out gate repairer. The original person we were working with just up and resigned. Since then, these people have been impossible to get in touch with. We will never do business with them again.

UPDATE: It’s been 2 months since I have wrote the first review. The gate still has not been repaired. I am happy that your other customers had a great experience which is what made me chose your service however our experience has been anything but great. We are not happy.

UPDATE: Going on 3 months and our gate still has not been repaired. At this time, I still do not recommend their services.

I am extremely impressed! My husband and I live in an older home that was without a washer, dryer, or a dishwasher. Fix-It Construction did an excellent job installing all three appliances plus electric, venting, pipes, etc. They also cut and installed shelves in my cabinet. Their technician and his supervisor were very nice, knowledgeable, and skilled at their jobs. The woman in the office, Farrah, was also very friendly. 100% would go with them again if I needed any work done. Also, for those concerned, they were very good about wearing surgical-grade masks into my home during the pandemic -- not just over their mouth, but over their nose as well. Thank you!

Edit: I forgot to mention -- they were extremely affordable compared to another quote I had received to do the same work.

Did a bathroom renovation. Worked diligently until completed. Work was top end and more importantly, they treated my property as if it was their own. Minimized dirt and debris, cleaned every day after work was finished. Techs were widely versed in many areas of construction. I will not hesitate to have them back when I need another job done, well done.

They have done 2 remodels, numerous repairs. Have even called them to do repairs while I was in another state. The work always is done, price is great. My first and only call to do emergency repairs, scheduled repairs and remodels. Fair price, excellent work, great people.

Fix it Construction has a key to our home. They come when we are at work get the job done and always clean up. Great team to work with all around.

The quality of the work was good, and the on site crew were great to deal with. I would recommend them for any residential work!

My wife and I asked Fix-It to replace 10 upper windows in our A-Frame. These are all custom windows and six are of irregular shape. This was a difficult job requiring ladders and scaffolding. The result is perfect. Their measurements were right on target and the installers were skilled and professional. They also thoroughly cleaned the site before they left. I highly recommend this company.

This initially was not going to be a five star review, but Chad at Fix-It came through fantastically in the end.

Three years ago this company replaced my front porch and did some structural work on it. At a little past three years the ends of the boards were rotting. An independent contractor deemed inferior quality materials to be the cause. Fix-It agreed to replace the boards for cost of labor only as the wood supplier agreed to replace the timber at no cost. This supplier then went back on their word and refused to replace the wood. Fix-It kept to their word and estimate instead of passing this cost on to me. I still only paid for labor.

They also did a great job researching some alternatives to paint and other wood treatments to increase the weatherability of the wood going forward.

The porch looks great! It's nice to know there are still companies out there who will stand by their word. I would recommend Fix-It for any of your construction needs.

Although we weren't able to use their services, the entire staff were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely consider Mr. Fix It for any future projects first, before anyone else!! I strongly recommend calling them first for any project you have!!

The office staff are very polite and helpful. The workers that came to do the work were professional, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job!

Excellent service. Good pricing. Did a bath tub repair for us and did a excellent job. Troy was our technician and he was great.

I hired them to do redo some things in my Kitchen. These men took time to do the job right and did an excellent job. I have and will continue to recommend them to family and friends.

Last winter I had a bathroom project that Fix It Home Repair did for me. It was in a house that is over 120 years old. The bathroom floor was rotted out and the tub area had so much water damage that the wall could be pushed in. Nothing had been done to this bathroom since it was built in 1950. Chad met me and we discussed the options of how to remodel the room and still be able to keep the look of the "old house". There was a lot of work that had to be done, that at the end of the project, we didn't see. Plumbing and electrical work in the walls. He gave me ideas that I hadn't thought about, that gave more space in the bathroom. The technicians that worked on our remodel were courteous and knew their trade. Loren often ran into difficult situations and thought out how he could best remedy the problem instead of just doing a quick fix. I appreciated this very much. I wish I could post a before and after picture of this project to show you the wonderful job they did!!! Would I recommend them...absolutely! I actually hired them again to do another bathroom remodel at my own home. Some of us homeowners can be a pain in the rear to work with! But Chad never seemed to complain or get excited when we saw things differently. His always said it was my home and whatever I wanted was fine but he always explained why he would do things differently. They are a great company and will have them do my next project!

I am giving them 5 stars because they did a fantastic job on a room that had a lot of problems, the customer service was great, they always returned my calls and had answers to my very many questions.

Customer service starts by doing what you say you will do! I called twice to get an estimate on installing an electrical circuit box and was promised the owner would call me back. Well a week later and no return call. I had used them before, but I guess I will not be using them in the future!

We use Fix-It Home Repair for some of our repairs at my workplace. They always get the job done, and if it is something they don't know how to repair, they let us know that up front and we go with someone else. Their pricing is decent and their service is excellent.

I have been working with Chad and the Fix it Crew for many years. They have done jobs as small as fixing a single cabinet door to painting my entire house and doing full bathroom and kitchen remodels. They can do it all. They always go above and beyond what is needed and are honest and reliable. I have no problem giving them access to do work without being there all the time because I can trust they will get the job done and do it right. I would not be able to get by without their consistent support. Give them a call for your next home repair, you will not be disappointed.
