Fix and Finish Home Services

I've hired Fix and Finish Home services for three separate projects over the course of the last year and would not hesitate to hire them again for any other projects. Tom takes his craft seriously, is hard-working, efficient, and ethical. I've had them redo all of the structure on an existing 550sq ft wrap-around deck; tear down and rebuild an 84 sq ft second floor balcony; and put in a partition wall, closets, new window, entry door and patch existing hardwood flooring in an existing space. I build custom furniture and do some carpentry work myself, so I have pretty high standards. Tom holds his company to similarly high standards and I never feel the need to clean-up his work like I have with many previous contractors.

Fix and Finish Home Services came out to remove an old leaky door from the sunroom along with a set of outside stairs that were never used. Tom found some rot under the door and showed me and he quickly fixed it, patched the door, and left it ready for me to paint. He also helped me figure out what I needed to do under the sunroom to fix some issues there. Tom showed up on time, was always friendly and courteous. I appreciate the professionalism and cleanliness. I plan to use Fix and Finish again after the first of the new year!!

We bought a house that's definitely a fixer upper. Our entry door had a huge gap under it that we stuffed with towels and our roof needed to be fixed and our back deck was really unsafe. Tom helped us come up with a plan to fix it all that was honest and not unnecessarily upselling us. He completely fixed our entryway and put in a new door and storm door, a new window, re-insulated underneath, fixed the siding, and he leveled the floor and put a new vinyl plank floor in. A few months later Tom replaced the roof and our soffits for way less money than other people had quoted us for just the roof alone. Things went so well we had him replace the deck and now we have a beautiful composite deck with stainless steel cable railings. Tom did great work and definitely saved us thousands of dollars over going with someone else.

Fix and Finish Home Services helped us complete our home renovation project. Our situation was challenging as we were mid way through the work and our house is small and we need to live in it while the work was going on. Tom did a great job leveling our floors and ceilings, fixing the framing of our outside walls, and finishing the drywall and trim. They came back later and installed our kitchen cabinets, new exterior doors and windows, soffits, some siding, and basement hopper windows. They also finished all the trim on our front farmers porch. We talked to several contractors and only Fix and Finish Home Services was excited to work with us. They did a great job overall and I have referred them to friends repeatedly. Extremely grateful for their service and expertise in the remodeling of our home.

We hired Fix and Finish to build an interior wall for us. Tom framed, drywalled and taped the wall leaving it ready for paint. He came when he said he would and completed the work on time and budget. I’d happily have him do more work for us in the future.

My parents hired Tom for various home improvement projects, and they couldn't be more pleased with the outstanding service he provided. From start to finish, the entire experience was top-notch.
