First light home services had been doing a roof down my street and mentioned visible hail and wind damage on my roof. Brian and the team were excellent and made the process easy in filing claim with insurance. Once approved they got on the job right away and had it done within the day providing quality work and materials. They were very thorough in collecting nails and debri and I'm very happy with my roof and highly recommend first light ! Give them a call !

The crew that performed the work were perfessional fast and did an excellent job cleaning up. Keith my site supervisor was excellent as well he answered all my questions and even came back thhe day after the worknwas completed to make sure everything was cleaned up and up.

Fantastic job from start to finish! I would highly recommend First Light to anyone needing a new roof. Brian our sales rep was great and so was Chase our project manager. Chase was out here until 10 pm the following day the roof was put in to make sure the clean up was 1000%! We had an absolutely horrible experience with Evergreen Roofing and Solar. Another local company in Jax that we were originally going to go with. These guys stepped right in and not only was the service and work phenomenal, it was unbelievably timely and their pricing was better by $8K!! Keep up the great work team! Two guys representing this company cold called on my home. They paused when they noticed my "no soliciting" sign, then seem made a joke, as the second one smiled at what the first one said and proceeded to my front door, ignoring my wishes.
What makes them think that I would hire them to do anything if they disregard the wishes of potential costumers?

Roofs are a stressful and often messy home improvement project. The folks at First Light Home Services made the project much easier. From the initial contact with my salesperson Johnny and interactions with our project contact Chase, the entire process was a good experience. Their professional attitude and expert installation were beyond compare. Once the roof was completed, the cleanup around my home was excellent. We ended up having 2 sprinkler heads damaged next to the house during the removal of the old roof. They immediately repaired the damage as if it never happened. They also identified a dangerous old attic exhaust fan and removed that at a small change. I feel a lot of roofing contractors would have simply ignored it which might have caused a fire. This company is top notch in my book and would recommend them to anyone wanting a new roof expertly installed.

Josh w/LHS showed up at my door quickly after hurricane Milton and physically went up on my roof to inspect it. We then discussed my options ins etc…. i got other references but Josh was the best He was polite respectful responsible thoughtful thorough VERY informative and easily reachable Everything he said and promised was delivered the roof and gutters were completed quickly and on time Everything from installation to cleanup Josh was awesome as was LHS i would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!! Oh, where to begin? Going on about 2 years ago, we had a wicked hail storm here in Nocatee. A subsequent roof inspection about 10 months later by Stephen Barnett at First Light found numerous damaged shingles. We immediately filed a claim with our insurance company, Frontline. After reviewing the claim, Frontline rejected the damage claim, said there were only a handful of damaged shingles, and that a roof replacement was not necessary. We then hired the public adjuster who came out and provided a very thorough report to Frontline along with photos of damage in our attic and ceiling from leaking water as well as a myriad of damaged shingles. Despite all of the evidence, they declined us again.

While months went by with all the back and forth, the rain continued to cause more damage inside the house. While the insurance company, who were provided with pictures in real time as damage was done, continued to ignore/decline us, Chase Stout from First Light, continued to come and support us by tarping and re-tarping our roof when the winds blew it off. He was here no less than 10 times throughout this ordeal with the insurance company. One time, when Stephen was in the hospital, he was calling and texting me with updates. Chase even came out on a Sunday morning when the tarp blew off. These two gentlemen are a dream team.

It took almost 18 months of back and forth when our lawyer, who we had to hire at our expense (thank you Ron DeSantis) after all the rejections by the insurance company despite mounting damage to our home, filed an intent to sue. Within two weeks of that notification, the insurance company suddenly wanted to mediate. We agreed. In a mediation that lasted less than one hour, they paid out $29K and settled the matter. Had they done right by us in the beginning, it would have cost them a lot less. We ended us having to move out of our house while the repairs to the inside were completed. Had it not been for First Light, we would never have gotten this finished. Totally trustworthy company and exceptional workmanship. The stucco company was having trouble matching the paint color of the house and First Light held back payment and charging us until they got it right. And they did!

You can definitely trust First Light with your roof! And don't wait as long as we did to sue if you find yourself in a similar circumstance. It sucks that we had to pay for the lawyer who we have to hire because insurance companies have the support of politicians and the public gets the shaft, but sometimes it is the only way you can get justice for yourself. We would have suffered a lot less damage had we just sued them initially. Live and learn! First Light is defintely your team for roofing!

Joseph was introduced to my husband and I through an Adjuster. He was prompt in coming out to assess the roof following a tornado and provide a quote to repair. This information was used to negotiate with our homeowners insurance. After many months of back and forth with insurance, we were granted approval for a roof replacement. There were many hurdles that he had to jump through between the insurance and personal things in our lives. Joseph stayed in contact with us every step of the way. He responded professionally to things he may or may not have already answered. Once the roof is complete , I will update my review with pictures. If you want a roofing company who takes pride in every interaction with their customers, look no further than First Light Home Services.

First Light roofing is a great company. They fought for my rights when Allstate denied my claim which was a legitimate claim. They took care of everything. On installation day the completed my roof in a day. Demo and installation. They paid particular attention to keeping the site clean and safe as we had to come and go while construction was going on. Also the owner Corey spent most of the day overseeing the construction. Huge props to Brian the salesman, great communication and very professional. What really got my attention was that the crew cleaned my gutters when they where finishing up. I highly recommend this company.

I was really upset when State Farm gave us 6 months to replace our roof or they would drop us even though we never had a claim. Thank goodness we knew Brian who not only gave us the best price and quality materials. And we got beautiful architectural shingles for the same price! He explained everything thoroughly and took care of all the paperwork and permits including HOA. The price was such that we are able to get new gutters!
The owners and office staff were super helpful and very nice. Cory also came back to double check on any loose nails. Which, for me is a huge plus because I don't want bad vibes on our home!

Why 3 stars? Because the workers did a great job, awesome job. However, the contractor will promised you everything and the manager will promised you everything, but when it is time to back it up the promises. "NOOOOO. we can't do that". "That is illegal". I tried to call the contractor and manager and don't answer the phone.
I called the company and they told me, "we call you later" 1 month later. Nothing.
THEY DON'T KEEP THE PROMISES.
CAN'T TRUST PEOPLE LIKE THAT.

It's been an absolute pleasure working with the folks at First Light Home Services! They have been one of the best home services groups I have ever worked with. The sales staff (especially Joshua Hunt) was great at working with our insurance provider to try and secure coverage, providing accurate estimates of the roof, and were able to remove and replace our existing gutter caps (that is a service that no other roofer we received quotes from would do). The project manager (Chase Stout) was great with communication prior to, during and after the roof was completed and did a great job following up after the roofers to make sure our pool, patio, driveway and yard was clear of nails and debris. Stephen from First Light Home Services is a rock star. First Light replaced our roof about a month ago, and did a great job, quickly and orderly. They alerted us about our sun tunnel skylight needing replacement soon, something insurance does not cover. Two days ago, our ceiling started leaking right at the skylight. I texted Stephen, our Account Manager, and within 5 minutes he had responded and created a ticket. Yesterday Corey called me to tell me Angel, one of their expert installers/maintenance guys was on their way to take care of us. He took a look, said he could seal it, and did. 100% Professional and attention to detail. Brian handled all the paperwork, I had to do next to nothing other than to pick out colors. Shingles and dumpster were delivered on a Wednesday and the crew knocked out the whole roof on Thursday. They did a beautiful job and left the place spotless. The next day the owner Joe came out to inspect and did a final magnetic removal of nails. I felt very good doing business with them.

Stephen and the First Light team are amazing. They communicated well and walked me through every step of the process. The job started off with tarps on the ground around our entire home. They tore the roof off, then replaced it. Day one the only way we could tell they were here was we have a new roof. Day two a cleaning crew came and fine detailed any trash and nails. During the job Stephen, the owners and another sales person dropped in to ensure everything was going as planned. I could not be happier with the service they provided. If I had to get another roof I would absolutely use them.

GREAT COMPANY! I am very grateful and lucky that Kim came by my house and offered to do a free roof inspection. I was skeptical, but thought it was free so why not? She spent close to an hour looking at all the details of my roof and said it should qualify for a replacement. She walked me through the whole process and was even present when the insurance inspector came to make sure he saw what she saw! The roof replacement process was quick and easy. They were professional and clean. They completed the job within one day and left my property looking better than when they started! I highly recommend them for any roofing needs!

As a Vietnam War Era veteran, they came by, when I desperately needed help due to my spine surgery, and unable to get up on my roof, they helped me by getting up on my roof for me with checking my roof due to hail storm damage.
