Had an emergency due to some unexpected water damage. While getting my Central heating/air units replaced I called, and Thomas got me in quick, and came out with his team Kadin and Cooper. They came out and assessed the water damage for the floor where my furnace goes and checked my floor joist. They were able to make sure the floor joist weren’t damaged, and the water damage spots were dry, and no mold growth had started. They gave me a big stress relief and helped set my mind at ease. I can't say enough great things about Nick, Kadin, and Cooper! We had a mold issue under the flooring caused by concrete that honestly had us super stressed out — but from the moment these guys showed up, I knew we were in good hands. They were unbelievably professional, incredibly polite, and just overall awesome to work with.

They carefully taped off the entire area to keep everything contained and clean, and the attention to detail was next-level. It was clear they weren’t just trying to get the job done — they were making sure it was done right. The results were amazing, and they walked us through everything they did.

On top of all that, they were genuinely the coolest crew to have around. Friendly, respectful, and clearly passionate about their work. If you ever have a mold issue, ask for Nick, Kadin, and Cooper — you will not be disappointed. Cannot recommend this company enough!!

I cannot say enough great things about this company! Their response time to our plea for help with a burst pipe that created a swimming pool in our crawl space was amazing, communication stellar, and their clean up team went above and beyond for us. Those 3 young men are hard workers and were friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us informed the entire time. Barry in the office was a great source of knowledge on filing a homeowner's claim and walking us through it. The teamwork with the employees is strong and we saw them all helping out when things were needed delivered quickly and when a product needed was hard to find. Overall, I was very impressed with everyone. I HIGHLY recommend First Choice Restoration!!!

They were great! Straight to the point, knew exactly what the issue was and especially Cooper, he took care of me and made sure everything was explained correctly and the issue was resolved in a timely manner!

Great work by a great team of guys with a water heater replacement even came back the next day to clean the carpet on the stairs that got dirty in the process well done guys!

Friendly, communicative, nice to my dogs, plus came up with workarounds to keep the project on track such as when a cabinet was damaged in transit.

I just moved into a lovely apartment the only down side is the main room smelled like wet dog! The apartment complex had it cleaned twice and even then it still smelled. I called First Choice last Saturday and they go me in right away and they got the smell completely out! I would 100% recommend them for any of their services! They are so nice and care about the service they provide!

The crew took their time to thoroughly clean our carpets and furniture and were able to get pet stains out. You would never know we have two mischievous dogs in our home! Our carpets have never looked better and Rory and Nick were a pleasure to work with!

Excellent choice to do a restoration after water damage to my home. I was notified when the workers would be arriving, which allowed my wife and I to plan our day. The workers were polite and respectful. All were experienced craftsmen. The workmanship was high quality. Recommend without reservation.

First Choice was very responsive beginning with our initial call. I felt we were in good hands with knowledgeable and capable people. Everyone we dealt with was polite, respectful yet friendly. Our issue was water damage around our kitchen window caused by a leaky roof. Kadin and Connah, the team that did the remediation work were very engaging, patient with our questions and explained the steps and actions they were taking. They were flexible with their availability to fit our needs and schedule. They worked quickly to remediate the damage with minimal disruption. I called First Choice first thing this morning about a "MAYBE" mold issue. Braden and Connah were available a very short time later. These young men checked out my concerns, going under the house, moving furniture, and then making sure everythong was replaced just where I wanted it . I am an older woman and really appreciated their respectful and friendliness in NOT leaving me a big mess to clean up. They were very reassuring that I did not have a mold problem at this time. Nick Morse is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is tentative, gives great advice, and helps whenever and wherever he can. He is always just a phone call away, responds quickly, and has helped me out in MANY emergencies at the large apartment complex I manage. He is my go-to guy!

During a freeze, a water pipe burst in our wall. It was hours before we could shut off the water, so the flood damage was significant. Kadin and Conner from 1st Choice Restoration were at my house in a flash to begin restoration. They were courteous, prompt, respectful of both me and my property, and excellent communicators. Since I was desperate, I would have made an easy target, but the initial estimate actually came down once the job was complete. Shout out to estimator Anthony for his integrity and care. 1st Choice Restoration did a great job helping us after our basement flooded. They were quick to respond, great at communication, and especially helpful working with our insurance to help cover all the necessary restorations.

Our basement flooded. We chose 1st Choice because we like the honesty of Barry. He went above and beyond working with our insurance adjuster. Which was not an easy task. Once the insurance money was secured 1st Choice got to work. We could count on them being here by 7:30 every morning, working hard to get the basement done. Helping us get the flooring we wanted and stay within our budget. The floors are beautiful and done right. All the employees were so knowledgeable about their jobs and very respectful. They cleaned up every day. Loved getting text’s every night to let us know who would be at the house the next day. I sure hope we don’t flood again. But would not hesitate to call First Choice to come help us again.

First choice made the process of restoration after our flood smooth and as quick as possible! They helped navigate insurance and options and were all around amazing! Thank you first choice!

Second time I have used this company since 2016 when they restored my water damaged kitchen then remodeled it entirely. This time, Summer of 2023, I had pet damage in a basement corner that was just awful. They fixed it nicely and very quickly. I will have them install new carpet down there next. The only box I didn’t check in this review was “Good Value”, since, strictly speaking, I do not know that as a novice, but I rather think so. Since our experience in 2016 was so good I did not even bother to go out on bids with other companies included. Highly recommended.

Always on time very friendly and professional. Any thing you ask for or something you needed they would accommodate gladly. I enjoyed watching them work they know what they are doing and if you had any questions they would answer them. I have had other contractors but none have come close to their work and professionalism. I would recommend them to any one.

Called my insurance for a basement leak and before I hung up the phone they called me! The person on the phone was super polite and before I ended THAT call, i received a text message from them telling me they were on the way. The message said 35 minutes but i think they made it in 20. They got to work right away and luckily the damage wasn't as bad as I thought. They explained the process to me and everything was completed lightning fast. Highly recommend these guys. phenomenal work and amazing time to completion. I never want to do this again but if i do, I'll call them!

Great group of guys who were not only professional and explained what was needed during every phase of recovery but were very respectful and nice to talk to. From the manager John to Luis and Dean they all showed how dedicated they were to making sure I was satisfied with this restoration. We've had excellent, professional, timely services from everyone we have interacted with from Sierra and her team to Carpenter Nick York and Ricardo through Sheetrock Mike and Painter Tim. They all have done an excellent job returning our garage and home to a pristine condition after our fire and subsequent water and smoke damage!

Nick. Ricardo. Tim. Andrew. Sierra. Great team. Did a great job on the clean up. They were would to do repairs and point out stuff that needed to be done to be in code. They were here in time. Worked hard when they were here. Cleaned up after themselves. They were polite and they put up with the dog. Really would recommend these guys to anyone .

Darrel was a very good project manager who responded quickly to my questions and periodically visited to oversee and check on the restoration progress. All of the First Choice Restoration craftsmen were good, but Dean did the lion’s share of the work. He is very skilled and meticulous in the work he does. From carpentry, to cabinet installation, to laying vinyl plank flooring and reinstalling carpet and padding all of his work was completed with the utmost care and quality. It was a pleasure working with First Choice and I highly recommend them for your restoration project.

Had a broken pipe on December 26th 2 inches of standing water in my commercial building. Called First Choice Restoration and within an hour they had the water shut off and started extracting water. I had damage to 6000 sq ft of office space which left my tenants without a space to occupy. First Choice did an excellent job in extracting the water and restoring the damaged area of the building. Within 2 months my tenants were back in their space. I would highly recommend First Choice Restoration if you have a water or fire loss their team is excellent in what they do.

All the employees are very curtious and professional. They did excellent work and always on time. The managers communicated the project daily and kept me very informed. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs repairs.

They showed up 3 different times with no notice they were coming. They had to stand outside while I dressed (I was in my nightgown). I had to keep calling them to find out when they were going to continue to the finish. My flood was December 21and they finally finished February 17th..

Anthony and Don were absolutely wonderful to work with. From the minute they showed up to my house until the time they were finished. They were professional and kept my mind at ease as they took care of everything. They removed the water damage materials quickly and bagged everything and removed it from the home. They vacuumed up all the mess and even wiped down my floor that had gotten drywall footprints on it. They took all the pictures off the wall and took care moving furniture out of the way and kept everything covered. They checked in one me every day through the drying out process and were always good to call before coming out. Highly recommend these two gentleman!

Our bathroom turned out great! Better than before the water damage became apparent. Great crew, approachable and professional. Those on the ground looked out for our interests throughout the project. Greatly appreciate the work they’ve done!

After a part of our house burned down due to a fire in the kitchen, 1st Choice Restoration quite literally restored our house not only back to what it was, but it looked even better than before! Laundry room catastrophe! Flooded my living room, 2 bathrooms, closet and my bedroom. They brought equipment in 20 minutes and everything was dry in 3 days! They even helped me pick out a new washing machine. Flooring is going back in on Monday. Couldn't be happier

This review is to hopefully help save potential consumers the stress of dealing with this company. Sometimes I write a review to also help a company improve via feedback - however when I brought up poor Google reviews as a concern with them before my flooring installation began I was told “we don’t care what Google says about us” because “only angry customers write Google reviews” so I know they aren’t looking to improve on their shortcomings.
The water mitigation/cleanup side of the company was fairly good (we had flooring removal from a dishwasher leak), but the contracting/installation side was an extremely disappointing experience of poor communication and lack of trustworthiness.
1) They insisted on Full Payment at the time of the estimate before they would even schedule us - I would have never agreed to this on my own but as they were working with my insurance (USAA) I thought perhaps that is how it was done (it isn’t).
2) As soon as they were fully paid we spent 2 weeks sending emails and leaving voicemails before we finally got ahold of someone to even put us on the schedule for the work.
3) We were told at the estimate that they could start as soon as the flooring came in which was typically about 10 days, but they put us on the schedule for 4 weeks out.
4) The week prior to the scheduled work I started asking more questions such as who actually does the work - 1st choice employees or subcontractors. I asked multiple times and they ignored the question every time. I also asked about the poor Google reviews which they also ignored (the quote above they gave me after I cancelled their service).
5) Since they had done nothing beyond the estimate and ordering our chosen flooring I went with my gut feeling and cancelled them as the installer. When my insurance tried to have them return the payment (minus the flooring cost) it was revealed that they had already cashed the entire $16k before any work was done (not supposed to do that).
6) They tried to keep $1400 more of the insurance payment for their phone call to order the flooring that we had already chosen at the store ourselves.
7) Hindsight after our flooring was completed by an Awesome company (Mikes Construction) - Mikes came out to do the estimate the week I called and had our work scheduled for the following week. 1st choice told us it would take 2 full weeks to lay all the flooring but Mike quoted 1 week and finished in 3 days. (See my 5 star review of them)

Leading the way in restoration across the Tri-Cities. The owner was gracious enough to allow me access into their state of the art cleaning facility. Their clean machines say it all about the attention to detail they provide.

Everyone we encountered at 1st Choice was outstanding. They were quick to get to our house to look at the damage from a water leak. Once it was dried out and floors pick they quickly got it ordered and got to work on putting in new floors. Matt and his team went above and beyond on our project. The end result was better that I expected. Matt made sure we understood everything and took the time to explain everything that was going to be done and answered any questions we had. Can’t wait for the next project so we can have them come back. Hopefully not starting with a leak next time.

Do not waste your time! They are rude and unresponsive! Fought with them for over 6 weeks to get tree off roof, roof repaired, In the end we did all the leg work to locate sub-contractors to do the work that did get done!! I can go on and on.

These guys did a great job! They were very attentive and on time at every appointment. They explained to me the process and helped me to understand if I should go through insurance or pay out of pocket. Barry did a fantastic job getting me an estimate of costs and making sure that we were satisfied with the job. The other two guys that came to check on equipment though out the week were also very nice, timely and professional. I will work in the insurance industry and will absolutely recommend them!

Biggest problem is they use incompetent and rude Subcontractors. Flooring Sub sent in helper to fix screw up and the finish shows. They obviously had been paid for the job already and didn’t care. Gaps in flooring, transitions sticking up and overall hack job. Also tried to tell me a low spot I asked to be fixed for the second time wasn’t a big when there was a 3/16 difference. Replaced insulation under house with wrong size and solution was to cut and stuff more pieces of insulation instead of installing correct size. Invoice was for Pergo gold underpayment to go with the Pergo flooring. They used other brand and said it wasn’t any different. Lost cabinet trim or as I would guess never ordered it and waited extra 3 weeks for it to come in. They also tried to say it was dropped off and we somehow lost it. Weeks without response to fix issues. They sent notices saying final bill was past due, yet they still hadn’t showed up to fix issues. Some work did turn out nice, but once they sent final bill and thought they were done they wrote off the job. Absolutely horrible communication and no site supervision or checkup on their work or the subs. Still haven’t seen a site manager come check this garbage work the flooring sub is calling finished. Never will recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointed. We don’t even want them to come back to the house ever again and don’t want anything to do with their apparent 2 year warranty after seeing how half a** they work once they are paid. I will be talking with my insurance (USAA) and hopefully get them taken off their recommended list of contractors.

Such a weird but overall bad experience with this company. All the staff are nice and helpful. That's their one pro. Beyond that... Not much. We "fell off" their radar a few times. Our kitchen had a leak in June and it was "resolved" at long last in January. There are still many issues but at this time we are so fed up with them needing to come back that we're calling it done. We've sent photos of these mistakes to our contact and never heard back. They were highly recommended to us by our insurance company. We will be letting them know as well. We would not recommend this company to anyone we know.
