Had a leaking skylight during rain storm. JR immediately answered and gave me instructions to prevent further damage. He came out the next day, quickly determined the problem and was able to completely repair (replaced all flashing, frame and weaved into existing roofing) extremely quickly. Stellar communications, extremely fast service and responsiveness. Would not hesitate to use again and highly recommend Farmers Roofing!!

Woke up this morning to find water leaking through the roof into the kitchen. Texted JR first thing—he replied within minutes and promised to have a look in the afternoon. He showed up early afternoon, diagnosed the problem quickly and did the repair immediately. He also surveyed the rest of the roof and found a couple of issues which he was able to resolve right away. Great service; reasonable prices; prompt, courteous service. Highly recommend!

JR of Farmers Roofing did a great job on a leak repair we had on our property in Marysville. He was able to get out to us quickly, had the job complete same day and his pricing was affordable. I will definitely use them again for our next roofing project.

I almost accidentally found out I had a huge rat problem in the crawlspace of my ranch-style home. I ended up changing to a new pest company, but I needed a contractor on top of the work that was done to clean out the problem. JR came to seal the two openings that rats were getting in. He had to replace boards and trim, buy materials and seal off the areas under my two bay windows. He did an excellent, efficient job. My home looks great now; he even worked in hard rain. It's my pleasure to highly recommend him. As we know, work often needs to be done in the rain in our area.

I was found evidence of my roof leaking when putting my Christmas stuff away in the attic last year. I called several companies & got a few very high bids from people with limited knowledge & little desire to explain to me what was going on & what they were suggesting to be done. JR brought a fair price, was NEVER pushy, made me feel confident to move forward & had a presence about him that made me feel like I could trust him. His company did a quick & quality job, there clean up was superb & I couldn't be happier about the interaction... later in attempt to purchase a home, we had JR come out to inspect a roof that left our inspector a bit puzzled. JR had incredible knowledge about the multiple kinds of material used, spent ample time explaining to us the issues, what would be needing to be done immediately vs in the near future & documented thoroughly in order to help us in the negotiation phase of our offer.
I'm so glad to have him as our forever roofer! You won't be disappointed if you use him!

What started out as a roof repair, became a full roof replacement. We had just replaced our roof in the fall of 2012. JR took the time to explain his findings; explained what to expect with repair vs replacement; gave my husband and I time to discuss, and decide on what we wanted to do. JR was honest, fair, and did a phenomenal job. We could not be more pleased with the finished product and have recommended him multiple times already!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
