Great company. Reasonable price quote for a complete overhaul of our attic's insulation system. They worked quickly and did a great job. I would highly recommend.

Great job at a great price. Fairfax Insulation came in at almost half the cost of a better-known competitor, and ten days sooner than that competitor could too. There is no reason to wait to pay much more. This installation was professional and comprehensive, and the end result was immediately noticeable. The financing option was very straightforward as well. Highly recommend.

These guys were what you want - someone who is honest about the pro's and con's of each decision, no pressure from upselling, creative, committed to doing the job right if that took multiple visits, sound advice on other projects related to theirs, etc. They were not just a relief to work with, but a joy. They did a very nice job with the insulation install but they failed to completely finish the job per the contract. I tried for 2 weeks to get someone on the phone with no success. I finally suspended my credit card payment - and they called me right back . They did come back and completel the job and apologized. It was just a lot of effort on my part - and extra days off work for me.

We had a great experience with this company. I appreciated the positive and professional attitudes of the workers that installed the new insulation in my attic. Also they arrived precisely on time. I think they did a great job and we felt a difference in the temperature of our top floor, which was previously much colder (in the winter) or hotter (in the summer) compared to the other floors of the house.

We hired them to add insulation to our attic and replace a couple bathroom fans. The installer did a terrible job with the fan, and they stole a couple items from my home. After many painful conversations with them, we decided to let them fix their work since they already charged us the full amount without our permission. We had two appointments to attempt to fix the fan after the initial installation. They called to cancel the first appointment shortly before they were scheduled to arrive, even through we confirmed the appointment earlier that morning. Their employee arrived for the second appointment, but was not prepared to fix the fan, so he left without doing any work. I have spent WEEKS calling them to try to come up with a resolution, but now decided to fix the work myself because of how difficult and unreliable the company is. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

After doing research on insulation companies I was somewhat reluctant to contact any companies. However, when I called Fairfax Insulation Systems Cesar explained the types of attic insulation the company provided, answered all my questions & made me feel at ease to schedule. I highly recommend this company for your insulation needs!

Fairfax Insulation just completed a job for us and I cannot say enough good things about them. We had a bathroom remodel scheduled and got short notice that our contractor would start in a week, and we had to get the spray foam insulation right after the demo so they could put the walls up without delaying the job. Our spray foam insulation contractor couldn't get us scheduled on such short notice. I contacted every place I could find that did spray foam insulation and Fairfax Insulation came through for us on very short notice. Will came out, was very nice and professional and gave us an estimate and got us on the schedule the day we needed the work done. After the demo, we discovered some problems inside the walls that needed more insulation, both sprayed and batting. Will came back that day, measured everything again and adjusted the estimate. The following day, Pedro and Marbin came and did the spray foam insulation. They were very nice and professional, did a very good job with the spray foam coverage and left the area clean. They had to send someone else to install the batting insulation so they squeezed us into their schedule to have that done. I received a call from Juan Cruz, who would come to install that. By the time he completed his regularly scheduled jobs, it was 6:30pm, but he came out from DC, was very polite and professional, and did an excellent job completing and securing the insulation. We are very happy with all of the people with Fairfax Insulation and would highly recommend them.

Fairfax Insulation Systems did a amazing job re-insulating my attic. They also air sealed the multiple receding lights we have. They layed down covers for our floors and steps. They cleaned up everything after they were done. I highly recommend them.

My attic was a scary disaster - layers of different insulation had accumulated over time (the house is 100 years old) and the bottom layer had turned into what looked like dirt. There were several areas with no insulation and a few cracks let in air. The Fairfax Insulation team also found the tubing had fallen off one a/c duct and another was damaged and leaking, causing the a/c to overwork. They reattached and sealed them before insulating them, so the job could go on.
My attic was emptied, sterilized, leaks sealed, utilities insulated, new insulation blown in and the attic pull-down stairs sealed with a zippered cover. Everything was done professionally, with plastic covering everything in the work area and the stairs and landings. Not a spec was left behind - even my front porch was vacuumed.
The two men were really nice, careful, friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with the outcome. I had other quotes, and the Fairfax Insulation Services representative was thorough, clear and gave a complete breakdown of costs and options. The quote was very competitive.
I am glad I went with them and recommend the company highly.

Fairfax Insulation did a fantastic job of installing open cell sprayfoam in the main attic. They tightened the building shell by over 60% (this was tested before and after). I've heard that 20% is the average for most insulation companies. This made a huge difference in the comfortability of the home and most importantly lowered the energy bill! I was super happy with their work and highly recommend using them!

The worst customer service and communication ever. They scheduled 2 jobs, set dates and took my money then they didn’t show up on the days to do the jobs. They told me the job was finished and I have the inspector come out and get upset with me fir wasting his time when there was no insulation in the walls. Then they don’t refund all of my money. Terrible company as terrible customer service. Hopefully they will not be around for very long. Be careful if you use them. I do not recommend it.

Fairfax Insulation Systems did a fantastic job re-insulating my attic. They also air-sealed the attic from the rest of the house at an additional cost. I could feel the improvement in the temperature of the top level immediately.

Truly disappointed with this company. Lack of communication at every step of the process, never have had a more frustrating customer experience. Five hours late on the initial estimate, A day late getting started on the project, not a single phone call with project updates. Last-minute changes on the installation forced my family to find a place to stay unsuspectingly. Insult to injury, they added 1000 dollars to the bill after starting work, failing to add the fireproof paint, a code requirement they omitted in the initial estimate. During any of the installations, there was no project supervision, leaving a filthy home every time they executed work in the house. The entire time, the whole company does not know what the other departments are doing. There are still scuffs on my floors, blinds, plastic in my hallway, and unfinished drywall in my bedroom as I type this.

Seven days into the project, they have not completed the work and have provided zero updates on when to expect completion. They will not return my calls and refuse to give me any comprehensive answer on the status of my project. AVOID THIS COMPANY! SAVE THE FRUSTRATION AND GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE

Update since July 29, this company still has not completed my job! Nearly 60 days later, no calls, no updates! As you can see the owner has no comments on my review and refuses to call me and finish my job.

This company did awesome work installing insulation throughout my entire attic. This included sealing and baffling the attic. The installers were very knowledgeable and professional in providing this service. They were also respectful of me and my property. They explained the entire process prior to beginning the installation and showed me before and after pictures of the attic. I’m very happy and satisfied with the services rendered. I highly recommend this company for their quality service and awesome customer service.

Nestor and Nolvia did an excellent job cleaning, disinfecting and applying new installation to my attic. Both was very professional and accommodating to my allergy needs. Would recommend this company?

The two people that performed the service were extremely professional and very conscientious about keeping the house clean from stray insulation. The entire second floor was draped in plastic; including floors, furniture, wall mounted tv, and baseboards. When the service folks left, the house was perfectly clean. While here, they were kind enough to explain everything they were doing. I would definitely recommend this company - and especially the people that performed the service.

We had a mouse issue in our HVAC room, which was filled with the fiberglass insulation. Fairfax Insulation Services took out the insulation, showed me the mouse hole that came from outside (which helped me confirm that our pest control company did indeed find and fill the hole since the mouse hole was filled with their filler), added some metal protection and additional mouse invasion protection against future invasion, and installed new insulation board. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I'm happy with the work.

Fairfax Insulation did a wonderful job insulating our crawl space and attic. We discovered the issue on the attic drywall and they had to come back to our house twice. They were very professional and accommodating. We delayed doing this project for several years and we are very happy working with Fairfax Insulation on the project.

I am beyond satisfied with Fairfax Insulation Systems. Will came to inspect the premises and answered all of my questions. As soon as he went back to his car to prepare the quote, I was 95% sure I would choose Fairfax Insulation Systems for my project. 15 minutes later he came back with a detailed, itemized quote. I explained I was waiting for a second quote (which I received 2 weeks later). In the meantime, he checked in by phone a couple of times without ever pressuring me into making a decision. Once I called him to schedule the work, I was transferred to Julia who was also very courteous and efficient. We were able to schedule for the following week and the workers arrived on-time, worked efficiently and quietly. I highly recommend you consider this company for your future insulation projects!

I contracted with Fairfax Insulation to remove and replace the insulation in my home attic. It was about a $5K job and I paid half up front. Three people arrived in the morning. During the removal stage, their vacuum broke early in the day and they made on site repairs, which delayed their work until the late afternoon. When they resumed, they did so with a two-person crew, and both people were in my attic. That means no one was watching the vacuum machine inside their truck. Somehow, the insulation vacuum overheated during removal and their truck caught fire in my driveway. Folks, that's a truck full of cellulose insulation, on fire, a mere 8 meters from my house. I called the fire department, who promptly arrived and extinguished the out-of-control truck fire. Unfortunately, that left me with a driveway full of soggy insulation and a burnt hulk of a vacuum in my front yard. The manager showed up the next day around 9am to inspect the damage. After a full review, he agreed to send a new crew to finish the job and clean up the mess for fifty cents on the dollar. Overall, it was a bad day that might have been avoided, but the company owned it and tried to make amends. I think that, on a good day, they probably do satisfactory work, but I won't roll the dice with them a second time.

Fairfax Insulation Systems was very professional and courteous when coming out to my house to give a quote on insulating my attic. They were quick to respond and gave me fair quote. When the crew arrived a few days later they protected my floors and got to work straight away, and finished within 5 hours (it was a big job!). They cleaned up and made the sure everything was where it needed to be. Even after just a few days of having my home insulated I can feel the difference!

We have been in our house for two years now. The upstairs has always been -7 degree temp difference during the winter and +8 during the summer. I called Fairfax Insulation Systems and met with them to discuss my issues. They recommended air sealing and adding additional insulation to include the baffles to support air circulation in the attic.

On the day of the appointment they arrived on time and began immediately. It took around six hours for everything. The difference in our house was immediate. In fact we had to turn down our heat during the night as everyone likes to sleep with the temp a bit colder. I’m curious to see how the upstairs feels during the summer. More than pleased with the outcome.

NEVER USE FAIRFAX INSULATION SYSTEMS. We just had insulation removed and spray foam installed by Fairfax Insulation and the entire process was horrible. Not only did they cause thousands of dollars of damage to our house but they installed the insulation against code and against the manufacturer’s instructions. The way they left the insulation could have resulted in fire or carbon monoxide poisoning. We had no heat for over 24 hours while we fought with Fairfax Insulation to make it safe. We had multiple people at the company lie to us about all sorts of things and they only agreed to fix the problem after we contacted the manufacturer of the insulation and they told them it was unacceptable and dangerous. This is only the tip of the iceberg that was our experience with Fairfax Insulation Systems, but it can all be summed up by I never recommend you use this company.

The company provided a responsive quote, with two options. The sales rep explained the benefits of both options and provided competitive and timely quotes. The work crew was professional and completed the work on time. I inspected the work and along with a 2-year guarantee feel confident of the quality. I would use them again.

Fairfax Insulation Systems was very responsive - called promptly, set up estimate appointment right away, and were able to do the work within a week. We had our attic insulated (actually a two-part attic). Greg did our estimate - very knowledgeable and thorough. Pricing was great. The crew was careful. They sealed all the potential air leaks, put and sealed covers over pot lights and exhaust fans to prevent heat/ac loss into the attic, and then blew in cellulose insulation. The cleaned up everything when they were finished. I can highly recommend Fairfax Insulation Systems.

These guys are knowledgeable, affordable, and efficient. My attic was severely lacking insulation and what was there was original to the house (1954). They cleaned all original, reinsulated with cellulose fill and left the space and area arpund the attic cleaner than before they were here. I highly recommend them. Ask for Will!

We hired Fairfax Insulation Systems to install closed-cell foam insulation in a 12x13 metal outbuilding. The representative (Lilian) that came to speak with us during the estimate/planning process was great. Very friendly and helpful. We went over the plan in detail and she supplied a written estimate very quickly. She answered our questions and we felt confident in our decision to hire this company.
On installation day, we were not at home but granted access to the crew. They worked for hours, in a massive thunderstorm, to complete the job. The crew was on site from 5:30pm until 11:30pm. We were so worried for their safety during the storm but everyone stayed safe and dry. The crew cleaned up and headed home.
When we returned the check the project, we were disappointed to see that the foam had expanded past the steel frame of our building. This was not what we had planned out with Lillian. We called the office and the staff were very responsive. They had a gentleman come out the next day to look it over with us. We were able to get a crew out 2 days later to shave it down to the dimensions we required.
It is important to me that all parties uphold the agreements laid out in the contract. Fairfax Insulation Systems worked hard to give us a great product with excellent service. I really appreciated how open they were to feedback and making it right with us. I would recommend this company to a friend and would use them again for future projects.

As an extreme DIYer, I'm always hesitant to pay anyone else to work on my house. When I do, I'm incredibly selective, picky, and literally quiz a company during the quote process to ensure I'm having competent people work on my house. In most cases, I'd rather buy a few hundred dollars in tools and learn a new skill before hiring a contractor. After removing 12 bags of loose fill insulation myself, I knew this was one of those jobs where I needed help. I talked to a few companies and had two come out to give a quote. I decided to give the job to Fairfax and I'm incredibly glad I did. Mike came out to do the estimate and he knew his stuff. I had a few projects I wanted to knock out once they removed insulation (fix drywall ceilings, add HVAC air-returns, install ceiling fans, etc) and they were very flexible about giving me a few days between old insulation removal and new insulation installation. The actual crew that did the work were incredibly nice, honest, and very considerate in taking care of the property, doing the job correctly, and cleaning up after themselves. If I had to do it again, I'd use Fairfax Insulation systems - no brainer there.

Fairfax Insulation was a great team to work with. The team who actually did the installation were polite and professional and afterward showed me around the attic and the specific work they did. They did a great job. They also price matched another quote I received. The only complaint I have is that various times throughout the project I would email and call the main office and did not receive a call or email back, so responsiveness could be worked on.

We were told by our pest control company there was evidence of mice having been in our attic so my husband decided to have the insulation removed and have the perimeters sealed. We had three pest control companies and three insulation companies give us quotes. Fairfax Insulation was by far the best quote, which made me a little nervous. However, the installation went very well and the men who did the work were professional, courteous and clean. This company is owned by a marble and granite company that been around for a long time and the insulation company was started last year which may be why their prices are so good. We went with cellulose insulation as that was what all but one company recommended, am hoping this will work well for us.

I received three estimates for insulation for the attic in a house I recently purchased. Fairfax Insulation took the time to fully explain the process and develop a comprehensive plan for the job. They were also the best value. Install day went smoothly, with a professional team. I have also noticed that the house is much cooler now. I would highly recommend Fairfax Insulation.
