From start to finish this has been a pleasure working with Brien, Mike and the crew! We were in need of a new roof so we called Ez. The estimate was was prompt and fair. Moving forward sample color charts were dropped off, and within a few weeks the roofing crew was at our home. Great communication on the process and went above and beyond. Also replaced bad boards that were needed. We left for the day and when we drove down the street my husband said Holy shit the house looks beautiful! Thanks so much for the suggestion of the black sable color, it looks so rich with the red brick. Thanks for a remarkable job, you and your crew are greatly appreciated!

This company is amazing! They were by far the least expensive for the same exact door I priced with other companies. They also got the door in faster than anyone could. The installers were so professional and efficient. They left zero mess behind and were so nice. I could not be happier with the outcome and my door is absolutely beautiful! 10/10 will recommend to anyone and plan on using them for future projects!

EZ Home doesn’t mess around! They give you their best quote fast and you don’t even need to be at home for them to give you a quote. They have done work for me and for many of my real estate clients. They won’t ever try to game you on price and the quality of work is top notch.

From start to finish, the experience was joyful. I was in the market for a front door, having received a quote from Pella. Through happenstance, I came about EZ Home Exteriors. After completing the form on their website, I received a call that evening to discuss Brien coming out to get measurements.

The next day, those measurements were completed. From there, I was in regular communication with their office (Emmaleigh) via email to discuss options, eventually settling upon a door & receiving my final quote (which was more reasonable than Pella for the same door... not to knock Pella, as I had a good in-home consultation with their representative to discuss my options).

Official measurements were completed (initial measurements were just done from the outside, as I was at work) in early February. The door was ordered, and the official installation date was March 10th.

My installer, Bill, arrived before his anticipated scheduled time (I received a text to let me know about his pending arrival). He completed his work both diligently and professionally. Upon completion, he reviewed his work to ensure I was happy with the job.

As stated in my opening line: From start to finish, it was a smooth, joyful experience (as joyful as any home renovation project can truly be). I would recommend (and already have passed along their information) to anyone.

I had new windows installed by EZ 2 months ago and have to say I am extremely satisfied . Brien Murphy the owner of EZ came to my house and the process was simple and EZ. There were no sales games of gimmicks which was awesome. Emmaleigh sent the proposal right away and when I signed I worked with Mike and Adam to schedule the job. Our insurance company said they were going to cancel our policy because they said we had moss on the roof and that we needed to either get a new roof or have it inspected along with a report. I was able to schedule with Brien quickly. He inspected the roof and sent me the good news that my roof would be good for several more years. EZ sent the inspection report promptly. I just assumed a roofing company would tell me I needed a new roof. Would recommend EZ in a heartbeat.

It's only been a few days but, I can say I am very happy with the quality, price and speed of the install of my windows. The crew did an excellent job. They used Vinylmax windows and I noticed a big difference in the comfort of my home. I like the upfront no nonsense pricing. Good job guys

We had EZ Home Exteriors replace all of our windows and replace our roof. We met with Brien Murphy who was very prompt getting back to us and extremely competitive with pricing. Both jobs were done beautifully and in a very timely manner. The laborers on the job were very kind and left all of the work spaces immaculate at the end of the job. Finally, two very efficient and polite workers, Tyler and Cass, did a great job over two days installing all of the windows. They constantly had to fend off our cats from escaping as well and we appreciated it. I highly recommend.

Be aware of doing business with this company. I purchased an entry door and storm door on line and they gave me the wrong color. I didn’t accept the wrong color door before they installed it so they took it back. I asked them to replace it with the right color and they told me to paint it. So they took me to court for the price of door and labor. The magistrate decided in favor for EZ DOOR. Now I had to pay full cost for the door that is the wrong color and the storm door is missing screws that hold the glass in. This has been a terrible NIGHTMARE. If I could I would give them 0 stars.

I recently had the pleasure of working with EZ Home Exteriors for a full exterior upgrade on my home, including siding, soffit fascia, gutters, downspouts, and other necessary repairs, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and professional.

They have just completed my fascia replacement and covered it with aluminum material, as well as new gutters. All the staff were friendly and professional. They initially measured the size of the back of house gutter incorrectly, so it took a little longer than their scheduled time, but they completed the work without charging any extra money for the labor/material. After they finished the job, I noticed that one of the fascia boards was slightly warped. I sent an email with pictures, and the crew came back within an hour to fix it. They are very responsible and reliable. I'm glad I chose their company for the job. I'm considering having them replace my windows next year.

EZ has installed three screen doors for us and one beautiful front door. They are really great to work with, they kept us in the loop as far as expected install time. The installers are always super friendly and professional. They never leave a mess. We had one issue with a screen door, it was a manufacture issue but they came right out to fix it.

The team at EZ Home Exteriors is fantastic. We contracted with them to replace our shutters, fix some siding damage and to remove a wall HVAC unit. The quote was competitive. The communication between quote acceptance and the beginning of the work was outstanding. The team arrived on time and completed the work as expected. There was an issue with the siding. Adam and team took care of the issue immediately. Construction work is never easy and incidents occur. Having a contractor that is honest and fixes issues as promised is priceless. I highly recommend the team at EZ Home Exteriors.

EZ Home Exteriors installed new gutters, a storm door, an entry door with matching storm door, vinyl backboard on each side of the entry door, and did demolition of a wall so they could have a garage door installed. The workers were caring, knowledgeable, and professional in their jobs. Their designer was patient with me when I was selecting the products. (I'm a visual person.) Their prices are reasonable for their quality products. Another seller of the same entry door would have charged a lot more for it. And another company would have charged $1,000 more for the same demo work and garage door. Also, I am very happy with the results. My neighbors are complimenting me on how good my house looks. I highly recommend EZ Home Exteriors and would use them again.

7/16/2024 Had a meeting with Brien to address possible exterior window repairs, upgrades. Brien was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and did not try to "push" a sale. His customer service was exemplary. I would definitely consider his company for future exterior home (windows, doors) needs.

Dealing with EZ Home Exteriors was a pleasure. Our roof was quoted and installed in just about 2 weeks. The owner, the office personnel, the field project manager, and the crew were very personable and efficient. Plus the roof looks wonderful. Thanks to Brian, Mike, Adam and everyone at EZ Home Exteriors.

The process was a breeze from receiving an estimate to the actual installation of a new roof. I contacted them during the winter to do a new roof installation that we scheduled for April, but when a fierce windstorm caused some damage to my shingles in February, Brien sent a team over to do some quick repairs to prevent further damage. At no charge.
Let me repeat that: Brien sent two guys to go up on my roof, in winter, to repair a section of my roof, for free. That tells me a lot about how EZ does business. Brien legitimately wanted to prevent further damage from occurring to my home.
Good thing, too, as multiple other windstorms tore through the area until the final installation. Between the jobs, no new damage occurred.
When it came time to do the installation, the crew required a little more than a day to get the job done. Overall, the process was quick, stress free, and professional.
If other needs arise to the exterior of my home, I will not hesitate to call them again.

EZ did an awesome job. I had 9 double hung windows and a bay window replaced. These guys sent a crew with some extra manpower and knocked the entire job out in a day.

They guys did a great job too. I wish I had taken some photos of the before and after but unfortunately I wasn't able to. The installers were professional and hard workers.

The whole process itself was pretty easy. The owner came out and took some measurements and got us a quote within a day or two. His quote was what we paid - no hidden fees or nonsense came along after we signed. And for the record, his quote beat the big name window guys by more than half. If you get one of those salesmen that come to your hosue with a heat lamp and then quote you an obscene amount of money - kick them out fast and call EZ. They do the job right and they stick to their word. It's clear that the owner, Murph, cares about his reputation and his company's reputation.

After the quote was signed we did have to wait a few weeks for the windows to be built and delivered. That is to be expected of any window company. Adam kept us informed of when the windows were being built, when they'd be delivered, and coordinated for the install day.

All in all, this is a great group of people. Very pleased with our experience and I will absolutely consider them for any other home improvement job that's outside my skills in the future.

EZ Home Exteriors provided excellent customer service to resolve a warranty problem we had from a former company. From the first phone call to submit our problem, everyone was eager to help and the problem was resolved in a very professional manner. The installer who replaced our damaged window, did an excellent job. We are very satisfied with the way our warranty issue was resolved. I highly recommend this company!

We want to thank Brien, the owner, for making two trips to our house to be sure that everything we ordered was what we wanted it to be. He was very responsive in helping us to make an informed decision. We had a door and storm door installed in December and Craig and his assistant were professional and efficient. They performed beautifully and we are very happy with the doors' appearance, performance and quality.

EZ did an absolutely outstanding job on my our new home! We purchased an older home and needed new siding & windows. Brian & Tony were such a great team to work with! The siding was done in about 2 days and looks fantastic. The windows came in much earlier than expected and only took 3 days to complete! Tony and his team were quick, cautious, clean and did a lovely job. Not to mention the fact that Tony found my husbands lost wedding ring, what a bonus! We chose white siding, white windows and black framing. Because of the color contrast, they really took the time to ensure everything looked perfect. Constant communication throughout the services being completed and a very fair price. I would recommend EZ to anyone looking for home improvements!

EZ Home did a great job installing new windows in our older home. Will definitely be contacting them for future projects.

So disappointed in this company. I had reached out to them on July 5th in regards to replacing my mother's roof due to a leak in the ceiling of her newly renovated kitchen. I was contacted by the owner within a day or two who said he would head over to the property that afternoon to take a quick look at it. Said he could get me a quote probably within a week. Almost 3 weeks went by and we heard nothing. I reached out again and spoke to a Pat. Pat said she saw my info in their system but nothing had been turned in yet. She would reach out to Brien to find out why. Another week goes by and nothing. Email their general email box last Friday just trying to figure out why after a full month, we couldn't get anything. Two people returned my email, both saying that Pat only works a couple times a month. They spoke to Brien and I would have a quote by 2PM that day. Now, 5 days later and still nothing. I reach out again just asking for an answer. Response I received is:

I just got off the phone with Brien. He apologizes for the delay he said that this place has box gutters and we do not work with or around those.

If this is the case, July 5th would have been a better date to provide this info. Not over a month later after numerous phone calls and emails.

I had 8 pairs of shutters that needed attached to our 3 story brick home that I thought would be impossible to get to due to uneven terrain and heavy landscaping. Bill, from EZ, came out and meticulously worked his way through all of our issues and his work looks amazing. I never thought it could be done so well. The pricing was great and no extra costs were added for hardware or anything else. I highly recommend you give EZ a call and you will see what I am talking about. Thanks guys. Thanks Bill. Had 4 sets of windows replaced last year. The window installation was not an ideal experience as they installed without having all the trim and left the windows open for a month until it came in. The trim is coming off the windows and we have been given the run around about fixing it. Trim is still not fixed. They use contractors even though we were told they deal directly with their installers. Had to schedule with the installers separately. The windows are nice and functional but not a great experience with installation and customer service.

We had 6 windows replaced. Bill and his assistant Vaughn were fantastic. Very professional and accommodating. They made sure we liked everything that was being done and checked with us often. We highly recommend EZ Home Exteriors!

I worked with Brien at the onset to discuss work needing done and pricing followed by Mike once work was scheduled as I had an insurance claim in which my roof on both my home and she as well as an area of siding needed repaired. These guys were a pleasure to talk to and always sounded welcoming and they had no issue sending a crew back out after visiting themselves to see some areas I requested to be touched up. They were recommended to me by one of Pittsburgh's top realtors and now I am seconding that recommendation to you as well! I was nervous because I had never needed any type of this work to be done nor dealt with an insurance claim, but EZ Home Exteriors truly did make it an easy process!

We needed repair to the freeze board on the front of the house. There was more damage than was initially visible. Bill went above and beyond to remove the damaged wood, rebuild the framework below the freeze board, and finally replace the board and cover it with aluminum. It now looks better than when we bought the house! Bill was exceptionally professional and thorough. We will definitely use this company in the future!

Had the company come out for a quote on an easy repair. Got the quote fairly quickly and we have called back to attempt to schedule someone to come out 3+ times. We have never heard back from them despite checking in several times over the last month. Very unprofessional, I’m sure they do great work that’s why I was recommended them but they don’t care about their customers enough to follow up.

We had just used EZ Home Exteriors come by to look at our damaged vinyl siding from the winds this past Saturday, March 25, 2023. We had initially contacted them by email a few days ago and they replied that Bill would be out on Friday. Well, all is fixed now!! Bill arrived this morning and re-lapped and secured all of the loose siding on two sides of our house. It took about an hour. We are so happy to have found EZ and are extremely happy with the whole process from beginning to end. We will definitely trust them in the future for ALL of our future needs!!

We have called at least 15 times for issues with our roof that was installed in 2020. Every time we are given an appointment time and every single time they do not show or call. Our vinyl siding is buckling and we have loose singles. I will never recommend this company.

Everyone at EZ Exteriors is so friendly, professional and easy to work with. From the initial appointment to final installation, I knew exactly what to expect and was impressed with the timely follow up I received on all estimates and contracts. The installation crews were so friendly and did a great job on my new screen door and chimney cap. My cousin and grandmother both recommended EZ Exteriors to me and I will recommend them to all of my neighbors.

Called for a quote and Brien responded almost immediately and was out the next day to do the estimate. Great price and great installation of new windows and patio door. Installation crew was easy to work with and the one tiny issue we had they dealt with immediately and promised to come back again if needed, any time and as often as necessary.

Brien Murphy and his team have solved many of my problems at two different properties. The work was always very well done. When there were very slight things I wanted changed, Brien was extremely responsive and his team made sure I was happy. I was always treated professionally and with respect. I have worked with several contractors and this is not always the case. He has also referred me to other trades in the area who have done excellent work for me at a good value. Things that have been done very well: major roof replacement, minor roof repairs on different property, garage door replacement, gutter replacement along with soffit and facia install. When I am ready, I will use them for my doors and windows as well.

The estimate was more than fair (I had four to compare) and Brien, the owner, was responsive and attentive throughout the whole process. The scheduling process was easy. The EZ team were wonderful to work with! We got our new sliding glass doors at the beginning of February. The team was quick and efficient which made it very easy for myself and my husband since we both work and I have two children. We definitely got the value for money and great expertise to help us along the way.

I had a Provia entry door and storm door installed a few months ago. I have gone back and forth about writing a review for this company because I have mixed feelings and tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but this past week has been the tip of the iceberg.

I had the measure for my door done on June 5 and was told I would hear back in 6 to 8 weeks for an installation date. On July 21, I reached out to the installer who had given me his contact info and he said the door had just come in that day and came out the next day due to a cancellation.

When they were halfway through the installation the team realized they had the incorrect molding size for the storm door perimeter. I was told they would be back a week later but the installer did not come back until August 18. At that time, i told him that the screen on the storm door was loose and pulling away (also emailed Brien) and he attempted to rectify it but ended up using a piece of scotch tape to secure it.

One the molding was installed, the next day I could not open the screen door due to the position of the strike plate. I contacted the installer again and he came out a few days later and adjusted it and also said that he did not have a remedy for the screen door screen issue.

In the past few days, I am unable to close my entry door with ease and have to almost lift up or pull on it. There is a gap and air leaking thru. I noticed that the screws are pulling away and there is a piece of plastic under the hinge panel which leads me to think there was an issue with the installation that just came about. Also, the strike plate still appears to be off and looks uneven just by looking at it.

This entire unit was $3000 and I have heard nothing but great things about Provia doors. However, the installation and repeated issues by EZ are beyond frustrating. My husband passed away after a lengthy illness in 2019 and I am a single mother of a 3 and 6 year old who was hopeful that this company would live up to its stated reputation and provide me with a stress free installation, but I am profoundly disappointed.

I have reached out in the hopes of amending these ongoing situations, so I will update my review if/ when I hear back.

I first learned about Brien and his company EZ Home Exteriors 7 years ago when We needed siding on our home. Every aspect of the experience from the estimate to completion of the work was stress less. His crews were knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. This morning I had to place a call again to Brien because we had a roofing issue. There is a leak in the roof by the chimney and water has damaged the inside cathedral ceiling. By early afternoon Brien was at my house and up on the roof. He will have a crew out here within the week to replace the underlying rotted wood and replace the shingles. I am sure his responsiveness is going to save us considerable money from ongoing damage if the issue was ignored or delayed in getting it repaired. I have recommended his work to several of our friends and will continue to do so.

I would absolutely recommend EZ Home Exteriors for all of your Siding, Roofing and Home Exterior upgrades! They were thorough throughout the entire process of our renovation. Although I had not seen Murph in almost 35 years since we were kids playing waffle ball in Brookline he came into the project and delivered from the initial first call to the completion of the project. Murph and staff were complete professionals. They took the time to hear our concerns and expectations and address them with clarity and honesty throughout the roofing and siding process. We never felt pressured into any “upselling” that usually happens with other competitors. In fact the additions we made were more than fair in terms of price, It felt that our best interests were always the priority and the experience was so refreshing! All EZ employees seem to take great pride in their work … as if they were working on their own home. The craftsmanship and attention-to-detail was the best I have ever experienced and kept both my wife and I at ease the entire time.. They made our home exactly the way we had envisioned it and couldn’t ask for anything more! We now have the a 30 year old house that looks brand new!!! EZ and Murph make a stressful process very Easy!!

A neighbor recommended EZ Home Exteriors for window replacement and I'm so glad they did! Brien and his team were professional, no-nonsense and got the job done on time and on budget. I did have to travel out of town during the actual install and my cell phone was "No Service" the whole time--There was a relatively small misunderstanding as a result of that, and Brien, Kurt, Jeff, and Roberta went totally above and beyond to make sure we were 100% happy. My father was a business owner and in construction and held himself to a high standard; je taught me that errors are bound to happen now and then and it's how a company (or person) handles those that are most important. My dad would definitely approve and that makes me feel good. I'm so happy with my new windows, and I'm happy to know Murph and his team. EZ Home Exteriors replaced our roof, fascia, sofit & gutters - they were awesome to work with, reasonably priced and did an excellent job! Very happy with them and will go back for other projects for the house!

Subcontractors came out and replaced siding. So I can’t really blame EZ 100 percent but this is what they do. Use subcontractors primarily. The electrical outlets and lighting cutouts didn’t line up with the back boxes. Subs came out and corrected but didn’t replace the siding pieces as I had asked to be done. They just shoved it over and there is zero overlap to the next piece now. I have siding falling off on 3 of the four sides of the house . I’ve asked repeatedly to have it corrected and eventually just gave up. I would NEVER use these guys again.

My feelings on the recent work that EZ Home Exteriors did on my home are rather mixed. I decided to hire the company based upon a prior interaction I had with Brien when he provided a quote for window replacement throughout my home. The interaction was very good. Connected on a one-on-one level, with no fancy infrared light demonstrations, or ridiculously high quotes (only to reduce repeatedly in an effort at "negotiating" like some local window firms enjoy to do). Based on this interaction, I wanted to make sure to hire this "local, small business" when the opportunity arose.

So approximately a year later, my wife and I wanted to replace a set of doors that joined our living room with the deck (a bizarre remnant of the 1990s I suppose that makes little logical sense now). So I called Brien, hoping to hire his team. The initial conversation was again, positive, but then the subsequent conversations, after the bid was accepted, were infrequent, and demanded that I "bug" them to keep the lines of communication open. I later learned why.

I was under the impression that Brien and his "team" were in-house, not subcontracted out. Perhaps it was my fault for not seeing through the venire of "our team" and not just outright asking him if he was going to take the bid, then just contract out to 1099s (a lesson learned in future negotiations). Communication was difficult because when you reached out to EZ Home, they had to speak with the sub to get timelines, etc.

Once the worked started, the product was good. The windows were exactly as we hoped for when we initiated this process. However, the "crew" sent was polite, but not beacons of professionalism. Upon learning that I am an attorney, the led crew member kept asking about his DUI... One other member, had to ask me, the homeowner "Which board is a 1 x 8?" The young man who seemed to handle the replacement siding was the most professional, and his work was superior. High marks to him.

Then, came an announcement the work was done. A surprise, given that the crew did not do all the work as detailed in the contract with EZ Home (a problem that could either be resolved with not 1099-ing out the job, or better communication). Once the error was explained, the crew did a haphazard job completing it. I could go into great detail, but it was average, at best (and probably below average as it required me to do some modifications and subsequent work to redo some of the work.

I addressed my concerns with Brien. He tried to explain he never said he wouldn't subcontract out the work. He also indicated he would speak to his crew about not discussing their criminal records in the future (though, probably best not to hire crews to go into suburban homes when they do have criminal records; or at least advise the homeowner in advance so it doesn't come as a surprise, and generate anxiety in your wife).

I understand the reality that many companys prefer to 1099 for a myriad of reasons (tax, benefits, etc). But I prefer to reward companies that would rather provide their employees with better pay, benefits, and accept some tax penalties. It generally means better work, and better communities.

In sum, I wanted to hire a small, local contractor (or as their ad says, "not another yinzer contractor"). Instead, that's exactly what I got, just another yinzer contractor. I would not likely hire them again.

There's much we could say about how great this experience was, but here's the basic overview: We had a drastic ventilation issue with our roof that was causing major mold growth in our attic. Brien - the owner - came to see what he could do to help when I asked him to so he could meet up with the mold remediation company. He orchestrated everything from that point on, working closely with the other vendor so it could get done quickly and get done right. He even treated THEIR workers to pizza for lunch! Real class act when the owner himself makes sure everything is taken care of. So glad we didn't go with a big company. Thank again Brien for all you did and your personal touch!

I have know "Murph" (Brien Murphy) for over ten years and was initially impressed by his professionalism but my first impression was confirmed recently when I referred EZ Home Exteriors to a widow in our church. He responded quickly to her request for a new-roof quote; when he came to look at the roof, he noticed that shingles were missing due to high winds. He arrived before the scheduled appointment time to deliver the quote in person and mentioned the missing shingles and said that she should inquire of her Home Owner's insurance company to see if there would be any coverage toward the cost of the new roof. She was thrilled when her company covered almost 40% of the cost of the new roof and said that this was information that only "Murph" proffered. She truly felt like he was looking after her best interest, was genuine in his compassion and empathy for her situation and was not the sort of person who was just trying to make a quick buck. After the roof was installed, she posted her praise of EZ Home Exteriors on Facebook.

I’ve had a professional relationship with Brien and Mike for the past year as a window supplier. They are a joy to work with and run a solid business. They’re customer centered approach is second to none. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Brien and his people at EZ have always been nice to deal with from start to finish. Its definitely hard to find good quality contractors nowadays. I had them install new siding on my house a few years ago. They did a real nice job at an honest fair price. Anytime I’ve had questions or concerns their staff has always been willing to help. It’s a good honest company willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I recently had a small concern with my siding and they resolved the issue that same day! Talk about service!
