Project manager James Dahlberg approached us cold, and provided a thoughtful and thorough understanding of our project. He reassured me that Excel would manage everything every step of the way with the roof, gutter system and insurance. He was honest, fought to get us more than what our agent had assessed.

The work was quality, labor an extremely hardworking group of nice people, and the product was a free upgrade to a class 3 shingle. Roof looks great on our mid century house in an upscale neighborhood!

I have a house in Rice Lake Wisconsin, after the hail storm, Hans came to my house we talked. Hans team started working on my roof they did a terrible job. I got some relitives we ended up fixing the roof ourselves. Today on August 2nd while l was away from my house the people from excel interiors unknowingly came to my house, did some unotherized work and gave me unotherized charges claimed my deceased husband otherized everything. Really how do dead people otherize anything???
I also have cameras all around my house and the camera at my front door showed one of the workers taking pictures through my screen security door as my 13 year old son was at home. Keep your children safe from these people lock your doors.
These people are con artists.

We own a lodge in Rice Lake, WI and after the storm, Hans had met with us and we thought it would be exceptional to get our lodge roof fixed. We had unpredictability of attendance, sloppy- messy work, and work incompleted that our building inspector could not approve. They did not use the materials we were quoted. Our insurance adjustor was still frustrated as well taking numerous calls with another company now in WI needing to finish our project. The communications and promises from ownership rarely showed on site, rather than a few various workers that we rarely saw twice.

Early February they were going to mail us a hardcopy of the paid invoices, which they said would also serve as the lifetime warranty. Have notified them 3 times we have not received them. Wonder if we will ever get them. This is typical of how they do business.
One thing to keep in mind, if you need windows replaced, Do not have Excel order them!

Our experience with Excel Exteriors was excellent! We had a new roof and gutters installed in Summer of 2023, and the installers were respectful of the property and cleaned up carefully afterwards. We are particularly grateful that Excel took charge of dealing with our insurance company, making sure our claim was properly handled. We are very satisfied with the results, and highly recommend Excel Exteriors!

I used this company in May of 2017. They did an absolutely horrendous job on my home. The day they tore the old shingles off, I informed them that rain was coming and they did not cover it. Rain came in through the ceilings. When they removed the siding to put on new flashing, they mangled my siding and it looks terrible. The owners name is Alex. Do not use this company.

DON'T USED EXCEL EXTERIORS. POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICES, JOB WAS NOT DONE! They switched project managers several times, delay after delay. Had the window rep at my house three separate times to measure windows and get quotes over 2 years. Roof took 1.5 years to complete as their crews continued to show up and then quit. Worst experience with any professional contractor in my history of owning a home over 30 years.

Exel Exteriors was referred to us by our realtor, Anthony. They worked on replacing our house roof and garage roof recently. The team did an amazing job working with our insurance company and responding to us promptly. We called them in the midst of selling our home so the turn around had to be quick. It impressed my family how quickly they resolved a hiccup with one phone call.

Dan was available and in communication even with their busy schedule. They did my roof last summer. When I was experiencing a leak this summer in my flat roof, which was not part of the job they did, Dan still came over to help me out it a year after they did their job! Talk about going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Would rate a zero if I could. After 2 years the work has still not been competed. They never submitted part of the claim to insurance and the timeframe has passed so we are out of luck. We will have to find another contractor to finish the work and pay out of pocket. Terrible communication. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Nothing but a great experience with these guys! With expected storm damage to my roof, I called Excel Exteriors first, based on a referral I had received from a friend. They were able to get a guy out to inspect the damage quickly and guided me through the process of roof replacement, along side my insurance adjuster.

The work was done professionally and timely! Dave (my initial Excel contact) followed up with me throughout the process and insured that our project was of the utmost priority.

In the event that I am ever in need of another roof replacement, Excel Exteriors will be my first call.

terrible company, from the front office,What was that?, to the storm chaser , to the owner. If you want you or your insurance company to give them alot of money and do a horrible job,alex s, the owner is your guy.

After a response 7 months later , in which he attacks me and my wife, I guess it's fair to say Alex and his business speak for them selves.

Two and a half months after they deemed my job “complete” I am still missing pieces of siding, crooked trim around garage, crooked drip edge around entire house, partial caulking on only some windows, sloppy corners, and other misc things, and they punctured my electrical twice shooting sparks inside and out tripping the power, but won’t send electrician to inspect. The communication was always poor but now I’m paid in full so they ignore me. I’m disappointed in the workmanship but disgusted with the leadership that thinks this is best business practice.. ask me about Excel, I’ll tell you to Run.. and when they insist they have no idea who you are, and claim you are falsely making claims, post pics of paperwork.. seems there are many of us out here, so they can not avoid all of us..

There was a storm that hit my familys house pretty hard one day and it lasted for a whole night. The next day a guy from excel exteriors came by and talked to my parents about the roof being messed up by the storm last night..my first thought "was that was fast" then my dad spoke to the guy for a couple of mins and we ended up having a few of em take a look and sure enough there was a huge hole on one side and a lot of the top parts had fallen off. Soo we got a new roof and I wanted to comment on it cuz we never would have checked to be honest. Plus the guy was very polite and respectful and very present to talk to.
