Don keen with Evergreen was amazing my insurance wouldn’t cover my roof my first go around with the insurance but Don told me it'd be no problem he would help me get it fully covered and took all the hassle away from me. He kept constant contact updating me on any changes and after a bit of time my roof was fully covered and repaired thank you evergreen!

This started out as a negative review but read the update at the bottom. I'm beyond pleased —

We had significant roof damage from Hurricane Milton in October 2024. At first, delays were due to the insurance process, which was understandable. However, once insurance paid out over $28K in early 2025 (with supplemental checks sent later), the delays became entirely the responsibility of Evergreen Roofing.

Evergreen admitted they failed to submit required documents, which stalled everything further. I have been extremely patient and professional throughout this process. While Darryl Golden, my point of contact, has been excellent—responsive, professional, and doing his best—the same cannot be said for Evergreen's leadership:

Leadership admitted internally that they "dropped the ball."

When I requested a fair resolution or compensation for their error and my extended hardship, I was ignored.

Now they are refusing to even schedule the remaining repairs until they receive more money, despite the fact that the delay was their own fault—not mine or the insurance company’s.

It is now June 2025, and my roof is still not fully repaired—8 months after the hurricane.

Attempts to engage leadership in a solution-oriented conversation have gone unanswered.

It is unacceptable for a roofing company to treat a customer this way, particularly one who has shown great patience through a process impacted by their own internal mistakes.

Darryl deserves praise, but unfortunately, leadership’s lack of accountability has overshadowed the entire experience.

UPDATE:
After leaving this review I was contacted by the VP (Pam) and she wanted to make sure I knew that they never got a message saying I was not happy and that they were fighting with my insurance company for a LOT of the time I was waiting. They went over and above to make sure the insurance company paid AND without the cut that any Lawyer would have taken if they did it! Even though the upddates to me could have been handled differently she did brief me on how much they were doing...which was a LOT.
Not only did she call me for that but she was instrumental in making sure I got a final check from the insurance company. She made sure that I got exactly what I neede even though my bank was trippin!

This team is great. Don came out promptly and explained the damages and gave me his recommendations.

The whole process was quick and easy and the repair was completed in less than half a day they had to coordinate the solar detach so it wasn’t just a simple roof repair. I would definitely recommend them and especially Don he was extremely professional and stayed onsite the whole time to make sure everything was done right.

Evergreen helped me tremendously. When we started my insurance company denied replacing my roof. With Don's help we got the full roof approved and my project is completed on time, and looks beautiful. I would recommend Evergreen Construction to anyone who needs help.

Don Keen is nice but I’ve been scammed! I hired Evergreen to put a roof on my house and to take advantage of the grant from My Safe Fl Home. The roof inspection done by the city didn’t pass the first time around. They “forgot” to put flashing in one area and another area they “forgot” to peel the back off of the shingle on the flat roof. They also “forgot” to install a Secondary Water Barrier to be in compliance with the My Safe Fl requirements. Now no one will answer my voicemails!! Not to mention they did not cover my HVAC unit to protect it from debris while tearing off the old roof and they had to sweep my yard 4 times for nails!

I received an unsolicited text message from this company asking if I wanted a "free" roof inspection after the recent hurricanes. Their goal is to file an insurance claim for roof damage even if the roof is so old that it would need to be replaced anyway. That is one reason why our premiums are so high in Florida. This is a variation on the "hail damage" scheme.

We recently had our roof replaced by Evergreen Roofing and Solar, and we could not be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free.
Don Keen with Evergreen was incredibly responsive and took the time to explain every step of the process, answering all our questions with patience and expertise. He provided a clear and detailed estimate upfront, with no hidden costs or surprises. Don also guided us through the 6-month insurance claim process, providing all the information requested by State Farm.
The quality of their workmanship is top-notch—the new roof looks fantastic and has already received compliments from our neighbors! Evan was excellent to deal with. He was professional and informative. We never felt pressured. Our roof was 17 years old and Evan found a gash on one side not visible from the ground. Once the gutters were removed, we could see just how worn our shingles had become. Each gutter was full of shingle gravel. We love the new color and the work was done well and in a timely manner. Evan stayed involved from start to finish. We cannot recommend him and Evergreen highly enough.

I can't say enough about Don and his team. Professional and courteous. They went above and beyond to get my roof done. They stuck with me thru a 2yr legal battle with my ins. company. Wouldn't recommend any other company. The roofers were amazing. They did the job and cleaned up as if they were never here! They treated me like family!

This Company employs door to door soliciting. Their Project manager came onto my property and ignored clear posted signage to Not solicit the home. He proceeded to ring the home and stand around waiting for someone to come to the door. Then he knocked again. When no one answered, the employee proceed to push on my front door in what I can on assume was an attempt to make a gap to shove the un-requested advertisements into my home. When he was not able to get the door opened enough to push past my weather seal, he then proceeded to grab the housing to one of my security cameras and was able to crack open the top of the housing enough to get his advertisement card into the housing of the expensive security camera. Now his add/trash has risked compromising the weather seal on my camera risking water damage at the next rain storm. Its hurricane season, They last thing a company should be doing is walking onto people's property and manipulating peoples property for the sake of advertising. I would never use a company that would operate with such carelessness and gorilla style advertising tactics.

USAF came home and hired evergreen roofing to repair and replace my roof.
Evergreen represented me to my insurance carrier and my insurance claim went through without any further problems.
Mr Don Keen stayed on top of the project and was a total professional.
You don't want anyone else but evergreen roofing.

Very complex project that the crews did extremely well. The weather didn't cooperate with, but the guys were tough and professional. Don Keen was amazing. Our house was transformed so much better than expected.

Evergreen Roofing and solar did a awesome job in my roof it look amazing with the new color i recommend evergreen, There communication is on point and they are very attentive with the customer.

I contacted many roofing companies obtaining quotes, Kevin Dougherty of Evergreen Roofing was the only one that actually went on my roof to evaluate it. Upon his inspection, he discovered that my roof had wind damaged. I filed a claim with my insurance company and Kevin cameover and met with the claim adjuster to point out his observations. My insurance company granted my claim and I had Evergreen roofing install my new roof. They were able to obtain the materials need and begin the job quickly. I was pleasantly surprised on the efficiency and professionalism of the installation team. They made sure to work safely and always allowed time to clean up the yard of all debris at the end of each day. Kevin provided me with numerous options for my roof discussing many possible additional features that will enable my roof to last longer, save me money on energy bills and provide me with additional discounts on my home owners insurance. He was not pushy at all just informative. Evergreen Roofing prices are very competitive and there were no surprises except for how smoothly the job went. Thank you Kevin Dougherty for everything.

I had made a call looking for an estimate,the person coming to me was josh agusto,on of their supervisors, he kept in contact with me from beginning to end,very helpful in getting documents back and forth, he was trust worthy and very family oriented,I think as much as he loves his job,he has a lot of pride in what he does and how he deals with home owners.i would say to anyone up and down florida if you need a roof see evergreen roofing but make sure to ask if josh is available. Please Stay Away... I've never had to write a review about a company but I thought I'd take the time to review this company. First of, they are very unorganized and you can never get a hold of anyone. When we did get the roof work going they had limited options of shingles to choose from, and when we looked ourselves at different places and informed them they just didn't even bother to take into consideration what we found. Finally had the roof done almost 6 months later. They finished the roof, left the dumpster in front of our house for days after. My neighbor called and had it removed. A couple months passed by and I had to call them to see if we passed inspection. I called the insurance company to get the final checks. I had to call them to make my final payment. (I should've gotten paid for doing their job ). Finally we were to told to mail the check addressed the person we spoke with so we did. Well a month later we got a notice of a lein on our property. They've had the check sitting for almost a month and did not even open it. We had to deal with 4 or 5 different people in this process and got different prices from each of them and still ended up paying extra for the roof which was just so upsetting. Save yourselves the headache...

My neighbor referred me to Evergreen Roofing and Solar. I called Charlie Sweat and he helped me every step of the way. The roof was replaced on the day I was told it would be. I have a beautiful roof. If you are in need of a roof reach out to Charlie he will take care of you.

Evergreen, specifically Don Keen has been fantastic through the process of getting our roof replaced. We met last year and got the claim sent to the insurance after a large storm that caused damage to our roof. The insurance didn’t want to cover it, but Don gave us the options and did most of the legwork for us, which we greatly appreciate. He is super personable, easy to work with and was great with communication. After litigation with the insurance company was complete, they were able to move on with the replacement. Materials, dumpster and crew all showed up Wednesday morning, and by late Thursday afternoon it was complete. The crew did a fantastic job cleaning up. Don was here this morning to check things out, and do another sweep for nails. A-1 service all around!

They want me to sign the insurance check over to them rather than the other way around. As a reasonable person I refuse to do that. We are now at a standstill since they are "not inclined to release me from the contract. " look like I'll have to get legal advice.

We contacted this company to re-roof our house. We payed them last October 20,000 dollars and they told us we would have our roof installed In 30 days. Every month I called them and they would tell me the same thing. 30 days. We finally got our roof 8 months later. The day after they finished a big piece of window trim that they replaced fell off and was in my yard. We called them to let them know and they told us to go hire someone to put it back on. They were payed for this! Why should I have to pay someone else to fix their mistake! They also was payed over 2 grand to fix my siding on the house and never did that..I will never refer them to anyone! They will scam you and do horrible work on your house! Stay away from this company!

Amazing company to work with. As an investor I have many projects going on at any given time.

My Project Manager Charlie Sweat made sure that everything was as smooth as can be.

Sure this is construction and there are a lot of moving parts and things can get frustrating at times, but I do understand that most of these things are outside of the company's control.

Bottom line, the Evergreen Team made sure that all my projects from commercial to residential were all completed.

All in all I am very happy and will continue to refer and do business with Evergreen.
