My mother had the seal applied in 4/2024 onto our deck of treated lumber. I saw it mid July of last year and it looked like a brand new deck. The color was a nice warm Oak. It looked like an extension of our family room onto our deck. Prior to the application, it looked like we needed to stain the deck and had areas with boards separating. I was so happy with what I saw last year. I came back to our house 5/2025 and saw a deck that looks like the sealant had worn off. The deck looks grayish- white and dry. There are large areas of wood splintering and exposing untreated wood. I called the 800 number to see about having someone come out to take a look and reapply the sealant. Nope, the warranty doesn't cover splintering and no one will come out to look at the dedicated deck. When the sales man talked to my mom about their " great 25 yr warrant", he said," they will come out for any reason, any problems." All lies! In addition, when I called, they couldn't find my name or address in the system. We were given a certificate for the 25yr warranty with our names and address on it. However, when I called their customer service number to have someone come out, we couldn't be located by address, names or phone numbers. It was under my mom's number and name even though the so called warranty is under our names. I am filing a complaint with BBB. Don't waste your money with Ever- Seal. Good advertising for a poor quality sealant with nothing to back their product.

All was great from beginning to end. From salesman showing up at appointed time and explaining everything to the technicians showing up at appointed time and doing the work. The work done was very thorough from the cleaning to applying product and cleanup. No complaints or concerns and thankful for a job well done!

Crew arrived and proceeded to treat the two decks agreed to. All appeared to be done correctly, time will tell. It was the clean up that needed some improvement. Rocks were left in my flower bed that were used to weigh down their plastic tarps. All of my plants were not protected. Brown specks were left on the siding and shutters and dried before I was able to get to it. I was able to wash most of it off, however I still have some brown staining. I had to wash the windows on the front and back of the house due to overspray that did not get rinsed off.
I hope that the seal was applied correctly, I will wait the 90 days to see how it appears.

WORST company ever. This is there 25 year guarantee work. I give 0 stars but it makes you pick one

To owner who responded I invite you to see your company’s work for yourself, the deck has not been sealed based on what your salesman presented it would look like. Your guys knew the first day this was not gonna work complaining about water pressure which your salesman marked as fine, they were already splintering the wood the second day they continued to splinter the entire deck and ruin my yard all around the deck. Then say we can’t continue if we do we will only splinter the wood. (ummm you did). He said I’m going to spray seal extra heavy. Again it is not sealed.

So far so good. Showed up on time and was conscientious. We'll see how well the product works over time.

After our church fence was sealed, & this is a new fence about 3 weeks old, I was told that the seal is the ONLY thing warranted. I was told that if this new fence were to rot after the sealing process, even within the 25 years, which is supposed to penetrate up to 4" of wood, that the company would not replace the wood at all. I would have to replace any damaged material & they would come back & seal the replaced wood. If your product allows for rot or termite damage, why would anyone want to have the new, replaced wood, sealed? Makes no sense. Anyone would think that the sealed wood would be replaced by the company whose product, failed to protect it. This sealing procedure cost almost as much as the fence did. Time will tell, but I'm very disappointed with the warranty for the price we had to pay.

The guys were very professional and efficient. The work was completed in less than 2 hours and the deck looks terrific. I don’t hesitate to recommend them.

The office staff were extremely unprofessional and rude and did not know how to handle customer needs or service. As a result of their incompetent scheduling, they rearranged my appointment without my approval. They refused to let me speak to the manager/owner when I tried to escalate my issue and then hung up. As a result, they caused me great inconvenience, extreme distress, and additional expense. The service technician did a good job once he got there on the wrong day.

The guys did a much better job than I originally thought. It’s like brand new again. Plan to clear coat in next 90 days to keep it looking new. Very professional workers, and I do think they deserve a raise. Thank you!

This company was very professional and courteous when I initially left my contact information and made an appointment. On the appointed time, they did not show up. I called the agency back, and spoke with a young lady who said that they were running late and that they were coming from Maryville. I said that this was unprofessional, but I asked that they give me a call to let me know when they would be here. Shortly after that, I received a call back from the same Young lady who told me that she had spoken with the technician and the technician had told her that they had already been to my house. Rang my doorbell several times and tried calling my phone which I did not answer. This is a total falsehood I was home the whole time. Obviously, they were not coming from Maryville at that time, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Worst company ever. Do not waste your money. These guys completely ruined all of my outdoor plants and furniture. They want to charge you an arm and a leg in the first place, then charge more to move furniture. Instead of covering up my furniture they just got overspray all over it. $1600 for furniture and plants and $2900 for the job. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! The owner Steve Nelson never returns my calls or emails. I have been in contact with my lawyer. The entire staff is very rude and unprofessional. And the sales pressure to buy their junk product, don't get me started.

I had the deck service done in Nov. '23. The crew that power washed my deck tore it up, and left areas unwashed. I asked them to be sure to get the spindles. They did not, as they were in a hurry to return to Louisville . They left their trash in my yard. My deck looks horrendous. I wasted thousands on this service. I wrote to the company, but they never replied. NEVER think about using their service! 1st - their product doesn't work. 2nd - their contract employees don't perform the service as expected.

Update: I tried to get the owner to respond. He didn’t after more than a year.
If one looks at other reviews one will see a common thread - their product is inferior. No one is trashing them - the reviews are honest evaluations, and their defensiveness reveals their unwillingness to address the problems.

Product is definitely a scam. This company ruined my deck. I've tried contacting them to come out and try and repair and no response. My fairly new deck, only 2 yrs old now is weathered grey and SPLITTING/CRACKING and rapidly detoriating due solely to this product. I have 2nd home with a much older deck and chose NOT to use this product and it is in much better shape than the treated deck. Save yourself $$$ do not use! Real Reviews are consistently bad AND whenever I comment on their FB page it repeatedly gets deleted. Remember contrary to owner response, no one ever explained grey, cracking/splitting wood.. I mean really?? what a joke! Manager refused ANY of my calls or attempts to resolve not even when my landscaping was destroyed and pictures sent immediately after crew left. You cannot clean DETORIATING wood due solely to this product. I have a done an extensive remodel of my home and not one bad review has been left.. so nice attempt to try and portray me as a complainer - I've got pictures to back ups my claims and I would file a lawsuit so if any other customers with issues like mine please contact me for possible class action.

Had a bad experience. They didn't seal the wood well enough and some of the wood has mold. When we asked them to fix it they said they could not and the wood must have been bad. This was a brand new deck with new wood and no sign of mold when they came to seal it. The warranty isn't worth anything and they don't stand by it. I would never recommend Ever-Seal to anyone, please be careful! No warranty!

I been around for awhile and seen it all. However, ever seal is not a top coat it's something you really don't see working until awhile. You not going to see it at it's best in 3 to 4 weeks no. I came to this company because I see what there products can do truthfully it works. Love it.

They did not have professional service. The pressure washing was done way too close to our brand new wood deck and tore it up. They would not come out even when I sent pictures. EVER-SEAL isa company that cleans brick and concrete from previous sealants and debris and gives a warranty. The warranty covers if any failure of their work, the company will redo without any charge. Complaint was made at time of completion with both verbal and written assurance that job would be redone. Telina Webb and sales agent Larry Phillips stated the job would be redone if after 90 days, the Job was not satisfactory. A registered letter was sent to CEO Steve Nelson with no reply. Calls to office for follow up have not been addressed. Unable to contact any rep with the company. This has been a SCAM with no resolution; you must get an attorney to enforce the contract.

The 25 year warranty is a lie. I called them with an issue after one week and they didn’t honor there work. Spindles weren’t clean on the bottom, so the chemical was properly applied there. Underneath my deck has mold, areas not cleaned well and an intact wasp nest. How do you properly clean and seal a deck with a wasp nest still present.

I purchased the product with understanding that it would seal the brick and water would not penetrate it. They even did a demonstration which seamed believable. The fact is, that it does not stop water intrusion. I called the office and the receptionist said sorry but it doesn’t stop leaks. If I was told this by the salesman I would not have spent the money and looked for an alternative solution. I guess that I will have to wait a while to see if stops mildew and fungus. I doubt that it will.

Don’t waste your money on this product.

So far I am very unhappy with the jobs done on my pavers. I have spoken with your office and my sales person and if this is not right after the 90 days, I will have to dispute my charges of $1,200.00. I was told by my salesperson that my pavers will look like they did when new but they do not. Very black still and your system took out most of the sand between the pavers. They look even worse than they did prior to your treatment.

Don’t waste your money! Ad says “better than power washing” but product does not replace power washing. Advertised as “prevents warping and carpenter bee damage for 25 years” but I have both issues in my new deck after 3 years. Company had nothing but excuses about how this was not their fault. They say they are willing to spray the new wood but that still leaves me with the cost of the repairs.

I wanted to post here to let everyone know not to use EVER-SEAL to seal anything. They charge a ton of money and ruined both of our garage doors. They offered us paint and that’s it. The garage doors have baked on paint from the factory so we are not going to paint them. They said that things can get damaged in the process. Not acceptable!!!

I used Ever-Seal to seal my three-year-old deck. The salesman told me it's in great shape since it's newer. The treatment team came in the day after the salesman-recommended contractor stripped and cleaned my deck, which was Dec 01, 2022. I inspected my deck after the stripping & cleaning and didn't see issue.

Fast-forward to now (1.5 years after the treatment): I'm seeing dry rot appear throughout my deck, as well as some buckling. One piece of wood that was a cap (pictured) really rotted out. In looking at the end of the boards, I see wood that is dry and cracked, which looks like the "Theirs" comparison picture on their website.

In reading the reviews here, I'm taken back by the responses of the company. In fact, one started out, "Normally, these are the types of jobs that we would not have accepted in the first place, or considered a can not do,' [but we took your money anyway]." This along with the over-explaining/excusing/accusing responses raises concerns about the honesty of their services.

For those who are wondering if they should do this to their deck, there are top-bottom penetrative sealants that you can buy and even test first. I wish I had known this.

Edit per owner's response: You call it "trashing" your business, but it's feedback to others based on my negative experience with a poor product. You may have an A+ rating on BBB, but that comes with zero reviews; meanwhile throughout other sites, I see the opposite rating. Also, The deck was in fact, power-washed thoroughly, which is how I discovered the problems.

The office associates were so helpful throughout the entire process! Our estimator explained the process perfectly to make sure we understood everything before purchasing. When the installers came, they did a very thorough job cleaning and sealing our deck. It looks brand new. We are very happy with our entire experience with this company and will be referring our friends!

Steve did an amazing job at listening and accomplished exactly like what I imagined. The work was absolutely paid attention for details. Thank you

Jacob did a fantastic job cleaning and installing this product on my brick patios. He is a tireless worker, extremely knowledgeable and very professional! I’ll see how the product performs but if it has anything to do with the quality of the application I’m sure it will be great!

Complete waste of money on this service! Had our deck treated about two years ago and were handed a warranty that wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. No response to emails and requests for calls to be returned. Visited their booth at the recent home show to talk to someone about our experience—ironically no one was staffing the booth.

We had to tear the deck out for safety reasons (rot all the way to the footers) and completely replaced it in December.

Never use this company.

If you like big promises and utterly lame delivery, then you will LOVE Ever-Seal Inc. Before you hire them, google the reviews. Cycle through the contrived, bot generated 5 star reviews and get to the ones that have common themes. Things like 'they messed up and failed to honor the contract" or "my deck is worse than it was before" or " they blamed me for something they should have fixed" or "season three of Umbrella Academy sucked!" (wait not that last one). Back to this review- So who is the expert? Daniel Harper? The Charlotte manager? Telina Webb the gatekeeper that brushes off complaining customers? (And there are many many many) or perhaps the real problem is the CEO Steve Nelson. I wrote clear and gentle letters to all of these people, have been ignored, and so now, I'm doing this, this goofie, but absolutely serious review, with the chance that you- potential customer- will reconsider. They're the worst. You'd be better off spending your money on a local contractor instead. Lifetime guarantee. Ha! What's guaranteed is you'll be saying you should have listened to me. Dang I wish my mom had read the other reviews... (pictures are the 'after pics' - pitiful)

We had our deck sealed in early November and so far so good and like the new appearance of the deck. We will see in the coming years for the promised results.
The salesman, Ray was knowledgeable. The sealer team , Thomas and his team worker were great! Only episode was the office didn’t schedule enough crew to move the heavy pots on our deck. We had to find someone else to do the moving job immediately. Again Thomas helped this issue also. And the company refunded the furniture/pots moving charge from our invoice.
We will recommend them to friends based on current results.

I have never used Ever-Seal, but if your service is anything like your drivers of your vehicles I will NEVER use or recommend your company. This morning one of your trucks pulled right out into traffic on a major highway without stopping or having any regard for any other vehicle on the road as if we were all supposed to just stop and let him have control of the road. Thankfully, others were paying attention and we were all able to slam on our breaks and let him have the road. Never Ever-Seal in Knoxville, TN!

EVER-SEAL recently sealed my Deck, they did a Superb job from the Preparation (Multiple Steps) of the deck to the Sealing.
All aspects of the job were excellent from the free estimate to the Completion of the job.
Everything was Professional.
I would Recommend EVER-SEAL to anyone for their Sealing needs knowing they would have Complete Satisfaction with the Finished Product.

I would not recommend this product or company to anyone! In April of 2022 i had our deck sealed with their product! After a little more than a year later I contacted Alexis (Office Manager) about my concerns with the look of my deck. I had extensive wood rot on the step risers and railings that were only 2 years old. It had turned a barn wood gray and had extensive mold or mildew that would not come clean with the prescribed Krud Kutter cleaner. I was told their product would not cause wood rot. Alexis also said they had no allowance for damages. After many conversations and discussion about the pictures I sent she said she would schedule a retreatment crew and would contact Telina Webb (Scheduling Manager) to contact me about retreatment. After 2 weeks after leaving numerous messages for Telina i finally got her to pick up. No apologies only to tell me she would only send a crew for a complimentary wash and that they did not do retreatments! I questioned why the Office Manager who I would think in the corporate ladder is above the Scheduling Manager was wrong to offer that and she didn’t have the authority to offer that! I declined the offer and asked for a refund as i had collateral wood damage on 2 year wood that was not neglected in any way. I paid a professional contractor who agreed with my view that the wood was damaged by the mold or mildew and wood continue if it wasn’t removed and sealed with a traditional sealer. I had to pay him $3200 dollars to correct the damage and $1500 to reseal the deck properly! On top of that I paid Ever-Seal $4276 to ruin my deck. Sincerely, Randy Lindsey

If there is any benefit after the first year, it would have nothing to do with the appearance of the wood. We can buy simular products at Home Depot & Lowes and have equal or better results. You're service is a borderline to scam. You are charging far too much. Most of it is travel, admin, & pocket liner.

Did a great job sealing our fence. Got alot of complements from the neighbors and recommend them if you want your fence seal to last and not have to seal it every few years.

In the process of sealing our cabin and shed the chemicals ruined our windows. The operations manager came out personally and worked on cleaning the chemical smears/stains off with cleaners and razor blades but it never worked. He promised to replace the windows but apparently quit his job, plus the receptionist that was also aware of the issue quit so I was left with no resolution and no one to contact. I do not recommend this company's service...

The deck is just beautiful and looks like new. I will enjoy its beauty for many years to come. thank you for a great job.

Ruined the pool and patio deck. Pool deck most of the color removed and left a rough grey concrete surface when it was a stamped colored surface. Swept most of the powering washing dirt and surface into the pool making it unusable. Would never recommend them to anyone. Had to have another company finish the surface but unable to make the pool deck surface match. Surface now various colors. Picture: Right-side after repair/restoration shown. Was told wait 90 days and it would look better.......would have been still waiting.

The Ever-seal sales rep explained everything to me and offered a discount. The schedulers were awesome at letting me know when cancellations happened to get our project done sooner. The team that did the work when the extra mile and made sure we were satisfied.

From my first meeting with Mike, the Ever-Seal representative to the day they were scheduled to seal my deck everything went as planned. The crew doing sealing the deck were very professional. They were very respectful to leave my deck and yard as if it was their own. I feel this is a very good product and a good value for the money. Just have to wait 15 years now to see if it holds up.

We did all the exposed wood on our house with them and we have had zero problems with our porches and decks ever since. Just added a new deck on the back and getting it done to it as well in the spring.

The Ever-Seal team was very professional and, when I've had questions, they were answered quickly and clearly. I fully recommend them.

The two man team showed up when they said they would be here, Timely. They answered all of my wife's and my question, they know their product and procedure!
When they got started, they did not stop until they were finished, great work ethics.
I will call them again for any other projects in the future, great workmanship and value.

Hi Daniel, I (Sue Repsher) was planning to email you yesterday after your Technicians, Jacob & Major (who said he'd just started at Ever-Seal a few days ago!) finished cleaning & sealing our deck (I had asked Jacob how I could contact you personally to compliment them on their great work, & work ethic too--if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well...), and then I saw this review opportunity in my email today.
I definitely wanted to let you know about their outstanding attentiveness to detail, and desire to do the best possible job for us. They were personable, and professional, & Jacob, the lead Technician, was especially knowledgeable, willing to answer my questions--and his commitment to excellence was, I believe, exceptional in today's world of questionable customer service efforts.
Brad, our Ever-Seal salesperson, was also personable, professional, & patient in answering my many questions, and did his best in explaining the details of your cleaning & sealing process. It was an expensive investment for us, & we needed to make sure that it was the best answer to taking care of our deck issues. Thankfully, it's clear that we made the right decision to work with Ever-Seal, & we're looking forward to not only utilizing the warranty process, if necessary, but also making the essential personal efforts to keep our deck clean & looking great for many years to come!

Do not recommend… Maybe this product is good for wood. My concrete has not returned to its original state as marketed and sold. They pressure sprayed some paint off a wall in my garage and pressure washed paint off my front stoop columns, but it states they don’t fix or repair their wrongdoings. I’m somewhat disappointed that the branding did not match the end result… especially after 3k down the drain. Now my concrete has different colors of white and gray when it rains.

Update to Business response: Please see signed contract under work to be completed which states “clean, restore, concrete to original look”. Also the $100 dollar discount mentioned in owner reply was for a just under 3% “military discount”. As much as I enjoy wasting time to collaborate with their team. I choose to inform other potential customers of other options based on what they seek. Maybe it would be a good business move for everseal to diversify their product line by applying top coats as well, vice becoming defensive/reactive to customer feedback. Bottom line: end result did not equal over $3K
