Roofing Specialist James Odell was very professional and knowledgeable of the work being done by Epic Roofing. After the roof was completed, James Odell inspected all the work and explained to me all that was done. My roof looks GREAT.

As issues came up we were able to reach out to him or he reached out to us . Communication was amazing . This company is very lucky to have Dawson . As far as roofing companies I don’t have much experience but he made it where I will never use anyone else .

I had an outstanding experience with Nathaniel Harris and Dawson Masingale at Epic Roofing. They went above and beyond to help me get USAA to cover the cost of a full roof replacement. After two inspections that only resulted in repair recommendations, Nathaniel fought on my behalf to ensure I received the coverage I deserved. On the third inspection, he discovered that my 30-year-old architectural shingles were discontinued, which ultimately led to a full replacement. I’m extremely satisfied with my new roof and highly recommend Epic Roofing to anyone. Their dedication and commitment throughout the entire process were truly impressive.

Epic Roofing completed the roof inspection on my home after a bad hail storm in the neighborhood. They did a thorough and professional job. I had the inspection report later that same day, providing me the necessary information and cost data I needed to decide on a way forward.

Joey and David were extremely helpful and educated me through the claims process, even showing me specific LA insurance laws, which I requested to understand more about the claims process.

They also helped fix an immediate issue on my roof that prevented water from getting inside the house. I look forward to working with them in the future.

Epic was very professional and on time throughout the whole process. A Zoom meeting going over all the specifics was very helpful in deciding which contractor to go with. Materials were delivered as promised as as it turns out, the materials were top quality as compared to other roofs replaced in my neighborhood. I also asked Epic to remove the exterior chimney (I spent many hours removing the interior components month before!) because I did not trust replacing the flashing around the chimney and that was critical in replacing my roof as the flashing was rusted and the 2x4 and 2x6 were rotted out. I thought I had written a long and positive and detailed review back in May, but somehow tge review was never published. :( I am writing this shortened review without the pictures I tried to include last time as writing a second review is never as good as the first one!) I appreciate Epic working with me and for the last 3-4 months, I have had no issues nor have any worries regarding my new Fortified roof! Tien

UPDATE: Almost immediately after my original review, the owner contacted me and eventually finished the replacement of the damaged plants within days. Although the whole experience could be better, they at least care enough to make it right. My suggestion is to ensure the work crew is communicable or keep an eye on what they do and communicate with the contact person. Hope you have better experiences than me.

Original review: I really hope that whoever is looking for a good contractor could get some useful info here. Sorry that Epic roofing didn’t work well for me. Epic contacted me through the fortified program and tried so hard to sell. Trey was nice and called me at least one time per day and sent multiple messages before the work was done. Although they didn’t have the best price, I chose them since Trey was nice till then.
Things were ok and normal (the work took two days plus a couple of hours which was much longer than what was told to me originally; additional cost occurred and i paid immediately) before started to go downward when the work crew damaged my front yard. They put big heavy boards on top of the young bushes to walk on. More than half of the bushes were severely damaged and two completely gone. So I got a new roof which i guess it’s good but couldn’t know until next hurricane hits, however I lost my landscaping in the front which was just done three years ago. Trey said he would be on site the entire time to control the quality but apparently it was not done. What lead to the one star was after the work was done in early Feb. The damage was communicated and confirmed by Trey and he promised multiple times that they would fix it. I had been waiting till the end of March when it was said that someone would come and replaced the damaged bushes. Then no one ever showed up and since then Trey NEVER replied texts or calls. Their ‘front desk’ answered the phone and passed the message three or four times including ‘letting the boss know’ and being ‘so sorry’ during the entire April.
So now I have to spend another significant amount of money and effort to fix the landscaping plus the gutter cover. It was removed but couldn’t be put back. Trey kept saying he was trying to find some new type that would work with the new roofing but hadn’t. I hired another contractor, who took a look and was ready to install the new ones in one day.
It seems that Epic doesn’t own a work crew, so they don’t have a good control of what is actually done. They might be just a general contractor which I wish I knew and certainly wouldn’t have used them. I asked the front desk lady this question and was told that “I don’t know.”
Plus it took them more than a month to send me the receipt. In addition to the large extra cost for the roofing, I’m very concerned about the warranty. Trey shared before that I should contact them if anything happens to the roof. Will anyone even reply back if that happens?
Something they will never tell you is that the new roof smells horrible for months and yes I mean being inside. The first couple of days it made you tearing and coughing.

Love my new roof! I am very impressed with Epic Roofing. Their commitment to good service and attention to details is impressive. I specially thank Dawson for all your help and for making this process smooth and affective. I definitely recommend them.

EPic roofing did an amazing job on my property. Working with Dawson was an extremely amazing experience. He took care of coordinating with the insurance for the initial inspection and was extremely knowledgeable of storm events in my area. He was able and willing to answer my questions every step if the way. I couldn’t be any happier with the results.

He also took the time to personally monitor the cleaning of any debris and nails that could have fallen as a result of the roof.

Hurricane Ida hit on August 29, 2021–two days after we closed on our brand new house.

Today is June 29, 2022, and EPIC—after promise after promise to return my calls and to work with my insurance company—has done next to nothing to move forward with my roof repairs.

I am highly disgruntled and am wondering why on earth my insurance company has EPIC on their list of referrals. VERY disappointed with my dealings with them!

Epic Roofing was very responsive and professional to my immediate need to have my roof temporarily covered after hurricane Ida. We arrived back at our home 5 days after the storm and Epic’s crew was covering our roof the day after that.

They worked with our insurance company to make sure what was charged did not exceed our coverage. Our roof, however, was heavily depreciated and the insurance proceeds were not enough to cover the cost of a new one. Epic was patient with us as we sorted out this mess and eventually got our new roof installed.

They not only changed my roof, but also the roofs of my father and daughter’s homes. All of us were very satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend.
