English Home Improvements did a great job on the project we hired them for. They were fair on the pricing and got the work done in a timely manner. We are currently about to do a kitchen remodel and I will be contacting them to help with that. So far, they are the best I have found in the Cheatham County area that can do reliable work at a fair price.

Our addition done by English Home Improvements is less than 2 years old and the roof is leaking. The wrong barrier was used based on the slight slope and must be replaced.
Another reason not to use them

If it is a small job like a roof for instance he will probably do a good job for you. if it involves major construction: tearing down internal walls; building a true addition you should look for another contractor. We had an addition wit some walls knocked out; added a sun room and laundry room. It took more than 5 months to get done and the work is sub par at best. So far I have had to re paint all of the walls and ceiling as well as do a lot of plasterboard repairs.
I have crooked walls and door frames and still needing to redo some of the work done on our new kitchen island and the wood floors were not properly done
The wood deck was finally started. I mentioned to Hank and the workers that vents were not installed and because crawl space was so low it would be best to install vents before. Hank said he will make the do it after deck. He then told me he was just going to put in screens instead of the automatic vents he promised. I said no to the screen we need the vents to open and close. He said he would take care of it.I then learned the holes in the blocks were too small for the vents.
The supports for the deck are cracked and not sure if they are sturdy. The allegedly pressure treated wood has sap coming out of it so it was difficult to stain.
I am glad a year has passed because some of the anger is gone, but I must say that hardly a day goes by without thinking how this non- professional contractor treated me and the lack luster sub -par work his firm provides. His motto should be “it doesn’t look that bad” he told me that twice when I complained.
I will not recommend him and suggest anyone considering using him to look elsewhere
