Upon inspection, the other company pointed out that the main issue with the wall flashing was still unresolved. My house has stone siding, and Chavez & Sons Roofing LLC had only extended the roof flashing to the stone. They didn't cut into the stone to add a reglet for appropriate counter flashing. Therefore, the flashing remained exposed, and rain could easily infiltrate behind the wall flashing and under the step flashing. It seems I won't be changing my review, as the work was still not done appropriately. Interestingly, I remember it was the same crew that had initially worked on the roof. They also didn't position the dumpster close enough, which resulted in debris scattered in the driveway and yard. While exploring options for a new roof on the rest of my house, I discovered that the garage roof, done by Chavez & Sons Roofing LLC, had several shortcuts, costing me about $8,000 for less than satisfactory work. They had to return at one point, and I learned they had just applied a lot of caulk on seams and filled gaps with caulk on the garage. There were a few small holes visible from inside the garage that I was unaware of. They missed installing some flashing and shingles. I could call them to fix it, but I doubt it's worth it because when I contacted them previously, they just applied some caulking. Now, I have to get the flashing installed correctly by another company. Overall, I'm delighted that the issues are being addressed and resolved.
