I found Emil Mackey with Country Financial by chance one day as I was reading the comments of a local FB post where someone mentioned how amazing Country Financial was. The amount of replies from others who had been profoundly touched by the level of care and attention their local insurance agent gave them, far exceeded the comments left on the original post. This immediately captured my attention since I was in a spot where I desperately needed insurance but had only been quoted an outrageous number that I couldn't even begin to think about affording. I thought all hope was lost until then, so I emailed him on a Sunday thinking I would probably hear from him sometime Tuesday... No, I received a call from him about 15 minutes later. When I didn't pick up he emailed me to let me know that whenever I was ready, he would be happy to see what we could do. So a few days later I went to his charming office located right next to Jo-Ann's in the Nugget mall where he allows his receptionist to set up all the comforts a young child might need so that she can bring her kid to work with her. That in itself tells you the kind of person you are dealing with. He goes above and beyond for people. As I met with him he greeted me like an old friend and not a prospective client he could make money off of. It was so genuine that I kid you not, by the time we were done and I had insurance for a fraction of the price I had been quoted at other places locally, I was crying tears of gratitude. I don't believe he worked any magic nor do I feel that I was a special case. I think that he is a rare individual who truly cares about the service he provides more than making a buck. I cannot recommend his services enough and I highly encourage anyone and every to stop over there for a quote. It may just be the best thing you've done in a while.

I found Emil to be very honest and helpful. When there was major flooding in 2023 I noticed how involved he was trying to facilitate help to those affected, and was very appreciative of how he explained what coverage you should have. I went to him for my homeowners insurance and auto, ended up saving a little money. After I switched insurance companies and hadn't picked up my auto proof of insurance cards for 2 days, he stopped by my house on his way home and dropped them off. I don't think you can find better customer service in Juneau for your insurance needs, I'm happy.

Using space age technology such as google earth, Emil immediately determined my properties’ proximity to fire hydrants, age of my roof, as well as my horoscope all of which he used to lessen the burdensome monthly cost of home insurance. You want to bundle in Alaska ? Last time I checked Flo from progressive can’t help you, but Emil can. If it were me and I was just about to buy a house, Emil “get it done” Mackey would be one of my first calls

Emil Mackey is my insurance agent. When I totaled my car recently, he came to my aid. He walked me through the process. When The adjusters from down south started valuing my claim as if it were in a big city down there, he stepped in and advocated for me. He spoke with me daily and offered advice to make sure my claim was being handled to my satisfaction. He made sure I was paying the lowest premium while my claim was being settled and he got me a lower premium on my new (used) car when I bought it. It may be possible to find insurance for a few dollars less if you shop around, but there is only one Emil Mackey. I’m sticking with the guy who cares about me.
