Elements roofing was the one Roofing company in the Portland Metro area that was able to get in and inspect a roof for my client asap. They gave my buyers thorough input that allowed us to progress in the transaction.

Their installation team damaged two screen panels on our birdcage. We were told someone would come out to repair the panels. A team came out and said they’d have to pick up more materials and come back but they never did. They also damaged our door and never fixed it. They also drove their trucks in the lawn and damaged the grass and said they’d come and fix it. They never came. They’re not answering our calls, answering our text messages, replying to our voicemails …nothing. 2 months later they’re saying the wind did it. : o

Siding was installed perfectly. The materials used were great quality. I had them use the hardieplank siding and it is so fantastic. I feel like the long term value will be worth it. The staff are kind and helpful. Did not feel overly pressured. Great experience!!

I found them to be top-notch craftsman, efficient, all the while minimizing any inconvenience to my daily routine. I was impressed by the way they take pride in their work.

Elements Roofing company sold me a "no leak guarantee" warranty extension for a roof they previously installed on a small commercial building. I purchased the warranty since they were familiar with the roof, but I should have first looked into their capabilities. It turns out that either they (1) no longer have roofers who know how to install and repair commercial roofs or (2) no longer have the financial capability to make good on the warranty.
After several occurrences of a very major leak, the owner of the company told me that the leak I was having was not covered under the warranty. He charged thousands more for the fix. When this 'fix' did nothing to address the leak, he stopped returning my calls. While the office did return my calls and scheduled roofers to come out to make the repair, no roofers ever arrived for the appointments they scheduled.

After months of leaks and dozens of phone calls, I lost confidence in their ability to make this right. I hired a real commercial roofing company to investigate the leak and they easily found and repaired the issue. They found lots of other things on the roof that pointed to Elements Roofing being out of their element when it comes to commercial roofs, including residential roofing components that should never be used for flat commercial roofs.

In summary: While their office personnel may be nice, I would not recommend this company for any roofing project more complex than a simple nail pop on a residential house.  And if they try to sell you the opportunity to purchase a warranty: don't walk, run!

We had a very costly reconditoning of our roof after a leak less than a year ago and written documentation stating we have a warranty. We have a leak again and have emailed three different people and called twice over two weeks and have received no response. I see from the comments that this isn't an unusual experience. I wish we had seen the reviews before choosing them! We are planning to call one more time and if no response will file a complaint with the better business bureau and may need to hire an attorney.

Update: the company reached out after this review and took care of the issue very rapidly. They had gotten very busy with a recent ice storm and missed our emails and calls.

Carlos came in the middle of the January 13 snowstorm after a piece of our chimney blew off-leaving a massive hole. We had snow pouring in our attic and he was here, alone, no crew to help, and climbed two stories in the high wind and snow to repair the chimney. He literally risked his life. The damage to our home would have been severe if he hadn’t come out so quickly. Thank you to elements roofing!!!

My son discovered water dripping from the upstairs bonus room ceiling one evening. I Googled “roof companies”, having no idea who to call. I looked at several reviews, and Elements Roofing had good ones, so I called them. They had a man out to my house within an hour, and he laid down a protective covering — it was rainy and dark outside when he did the work. I also made an appointment for the repair work to be done.
I know things that seem to be bad news can be a blessing in disguise, and this is a good example! When the crew showed up to assess the damage, they examined the entire roof. I was stunned to learn that, when the house was built in 1994, the roofers had installed cheap ridge caps over the “presidential” shingles, and the ridge caps were cracked and falling apart. Another shocking discovery was that the skylight in the upstairs master bath had been installed without being sealed or fastened down. There was water damage around the frame.
They replaced the skylight with a new sun reflecting skylight, and replaced all of the ridge caps with PROPER ones. They also fixed or replaced other things that they found during inspection. When they were done with all the repair work, they did a complete reconditioning of the roof.
They provided a report and pictures of all the problems, and estimates of the cost. They showed up on time, and when the work was all done, thoroughly cleaned up. They even put some moss killer on the roof for me!
Ben visited me a few days later to ensure that I was satisfied with the job done, and I told him that I was very happy and that the crew had been very good.
This was an unexpected expense, but just a fraction of the cost of a complete roof replacement, which most likely would’ve had to be done if we hadn’t had this work done.
So, this roof leak was definitely a blessing, considering the potential damage that might have developed had this not happened.
I am very grateful and relieved, and I highly recommend Elements Roofing!

Elements Roofing installed a commercial flat roof for me 10 years ago. When I went to sell the building the buyer tried to claim the roof needed to be replaced and wanted a $60,000 credit. I called Ben and he stood behind his warranty. Great company, I would definitely work with them again.

My husband called them to fix damage from a tree that is rubbing against the house. Ramone was able to cut the branches aback and fix the damage with no problem.

I was not sure what to expect when I called for a “free roofing inspection” I was hoping to get good information and not have to deal with a high-pressure salesman. That is exactly what I got. Benjamin came over and took and inspected my roof. He said that for the most part it looked decent. I said that there were a few areas that could be repaired and showed me the pictures. I agreed, and within an hour I had the paperwork emailed to me. The repairs were only a few hundred and they were able to do the work this week.

It is nice to have a fair roofer in the neighborhood. My husband was insisting on “repairing” the gutters. I finally talked him out of it and hired Elements. They came out on Tuesday. They cleaned our roof and gutters and did the repair. Our house looks 100% better now. 5 Star

Elements Roofing saved out home. We had a tree fall last week and it did major damage to out roof and walls. Ben met us and put a plan together right away. His team had the repairs completed on only 4 days. So Thankful!

We had a freak accident and several shingles fell off of our roof which we had purchased from a previous owner. After full inspection the team at Elements couldn't tell exactly what caused the issue. They honored the transferrable warranty even though it had been three years since proper documentation was not filed by the original owner. A few weeks later they came out and repaired our roof at no cost.

Wow. Where do I begin. I don't know if they were drinking, on their cell phone, or just a terrible driver. I'm driving north on I5 near Lake O when I come across a white truck driving erratically. All over the lanes, can't figure out if they want to speed or go 10mph under. Just a mess. I finally get around them, glance over in curiosity as to what would lead someone to drive this way and I get flipped off by the driver. IN A COMPANY TRUCK! Obviously pretty shocked so I return the favor. Then the driver starts flashing his lights frantically and motioning for me to pull over. I'm shocked at this point but certainly curious, so I oblige. Driver pulls in behind me. Continues to flash his lights and aggressively encourages me to jump out and fight him and his two co workers. What kind of business is this who would employ people like this? I've worked in lots of contacting jobs and have many connections. This story will be spread throughout the industry, and to anyone who reads this I would strongly recommended against this company. There are lots of great roofing companies in the metro area, this is not one of them. Not if they're ok with employees such as this.

I tried calling the company before posting this to talk to a supervisor and I was put on a ten minute hold. There's your sign.

We chose Elements when we had an emergency. They came out on short notice and were fair from the start. They knew the job that had to be done and they were transparent about it all the way. Ben was an absolute gem to work with and helped us a great deal with our insurance claim. The whole experience was absolute aces. Would recommend to anyone!

Elements was okay. I was very pleased with their interior finish carpenter, but overall they were lacking in some areas of expectation. The job was done quickly, but a bit sloppy. They left my yard a mess with garbage wood, metal and even food and beverage trash I had to clean up. The work itself had a BIG punchlist of corrections to be made. We were told by the office and the project manager that they'd be back to correct several things, but once our check was cashed we never heard from them again.

Elements did a first class job providing a roof certification for our client. It was prompt and allowed the rest of the transaction to run smoothly. Great experience!

We recently had a new roof put on. The roof looks very nice and was was well done. My only advice would be to make sure you go over the bill prior to the work and make sure you understand everything, and if any change orders come in, make sure to review thoroughly before the work starts.

Let me start off by saying I am a hard person to impress but, wanted to take the time and share my customer service experience I had with Elements Roofing. I was amazed by their friendly customer service and willingness to answer my multiple questions regarding their bid. They never seemed irritated or too busy to clarify my questions and concerns.

Had a great experience with Elements company. Their office was professional and crew did a great job with our repair project even with the ground clean up afterwards. Would use them again if we are in need of more roof services.

We hired Elements to repair our leak. They had two worker out in less than an hour. They stopped the leak and gave me an estimate to repair some of the damage. The charged me only $843.. seemed reasonable. Overall great experience.

I was warned about these guys coming in with a low number and submitting a change once the work was started. I thought I read all their scope correctly and was in good shape with a $2200 quote to do maintenance on my cedar roof. However Once the job started they wanted $1700 more to do the ridge cap. Their quote had two pictures of the existing ridge cap in it and no mention of it being excluded nor an add if it needed to be replaced. After complaining they did cut the add in half, but very crumby approach to business. I will never use them again.

Just had my roof re-done. Loved the company! I got a fair price and they did the work right away.
