Had a preventative maintenance call today and received really great service from Tyler. He remembered when the system was installed, replaced our old filter with a new one he picked up for us, and identified and fixed a weak part in the outdoor unit promptly. So nice to see when preventative maintenance works well and appreciated the added bonus of a good service mechanic!

I had the unfortunate issue of not being able to find a company with enough competence to repair a pool heater. I called the manufacturer of my heater, which is Pentair, and they referred me to Eco-Cool directly. Great company to work with. They came out, diagnosed my problem, and fixed it. While fixing it, they found other issues the previous company had done and fixed those too. I would recommend them to every one I know who has a pool heater!

I’ll never understand why an employee would operate a vehicle with their company’s name, logo and contact information on the side and back, so recklessly.

In traffic, I was cut off by not one ECO-Cool HVAC van but TWO. I was nearly sent into a parked delivery van when the lead ECO-Cool van failed to allow me to merge, then nearly run off the road by the second ECO-Cool van. When I caught up to the lead van the driver sneered and mouthed something at me.

I can’t speak to the work ethic or quality of service of ECO-Cool HVAC however if this is how they drive between work sites, I figure they’re cutting corners on safety and care while installing or repairing your HVAC system as well. I wouldn’t give them my business and neither should you.

I called Eco-Cool for a second opinion on our air conditioning after the company we typically go with recommended replacing the whole system with little effort to attempt a repair. I recognized Eco-Cool because they service the HVAC system at my job and always have good results. I called and Amy was kind and knowledgeable. She got us scheduled for the next morning. Steve was prompt and professional and had the issue diagnosed within a few minutes and took the time to see that it was repairable. He sourced the parts needed and had us scheduled in two days to come finish the repair for less than half of the cost! Everything about the experience was professional, friendly and efficient. Eco-Cool had the knowledge and resourcefulness to work the issue vs. offer the most expensive solution. We will be switching over our Service Plan to Eco-Cool!

He took care of our disgusting air filter and reminded us to change it every 3 months. He inspected and thoroughly cleaned our unit. Eco cool! I don’t have the words to say how much I appreciate the professionalism that I received from them today! I own a crab house so I depend on refrigeration every day. And when it goes down it’s an emergency! I called Eco cool and they responded immediately. The owner Steve came at himself on Saturday to assess my situation within no time at all he troubleshoot all my problems and got me up and running. I called them for a second opinion on repairs the first place quoted me for over 10k. Their technician showed up and diagnosed the problem quickly and had the repairs completed for under $1000. They are honest, knowledgeable and skilled. I won't be using anyone else.

What an honest and truthful company. Contacted the company through an internet search and to my surprise it turned out to be a goldmine search. Steve, the owner came out and diagnosed my AC Unit. He could have done a test and misc adjustment to jack up the repair cost. Instead, he washed down my cooling grid which was clogged with pollen and grass debris. That was the only problem. The unit cools even better now. Thanks for the honest work. You got my business from now on.

We have had a service contract with Eco-Cool the last couple years and have found them to be knowledgeable, responsive and reliable. We've only had a reason to call them after hours once, and they offered to come out right away but as it wasn't a true emergency ended up coming out first thing the next morning. Through a conversation around the specifics of the issue, Joe was able to diagnose the cause and our A/C has run much more efficiently since he made some adjustments. I am grateful to have Eco-Cool in my area.

We had EcoCool out twice in hopes of receiving a quote for a solution ( new 2nd system ) for our 2nd floor. I called, emailed and no response. I don't understand why they took the time to come out survey the job, measure all the room and inspect the attic to never get back to me. I don't get it.

Not only did Joe walk me through what the issue was with my ac unit, but he also clearly explained what he would do to remedy the situation. He arrived early, working in the most thorough, clean and respectful way possible. Most importantly the quoted price did not change once the work was completed, there were no hidden or surprise fees. Taking the time to write a review for Eco-Cool as once again today we received exceptional service from this company. We have used Eco-Cool for our heating and air-conditioning repairs for over 10 years for a total of 11 service calls and have been satisfied customers every time we have picked up the phone to request a repair. The response time from answering the call to appearing at our door has always been less than 24 hours, most parts have either been in stock or they were obtained the same day, and the work was thoroughly explained and performed expertly. The owner Steve Kroedel has trained his technicians well and we have always had a good experience with whomever responds to the service call, even Steve himself on occasion! Highly recommend this company for all of your HVAC needs.

WOW!!! JUST WOW!!! Had an issue with my AC in my business. I called ECO-Cool and before I got off the phone there was already a tech on their way.
Not only was he able to get us up and running, he throughly explained everything that he saw and what he did. I can't tell you how many times we ran into one of those look and replace type of companies. Definitely not the case here!

I had been trying to get a service company for over 6 months. Then I found Eco-Cool. These folks are knowledgeable, and service oriented.

Very quick to respond and repair my broken AC unit refrigerant line. The price seemed quite a bit higher than expected, but the quick response was more important for me since it is summer.

First we called 1 hour heating and air, and they couldnt come for 24 hours. I googled and called this place. They had someone here within 45 minutes. Friendly and fast, and now my house is cool again.

I have a mini split ductless system that stopped working. I called blue dot, they came out took my service fee money and then tell me they don’t know what the problem is and can’t fix it. A friend recommended this company to me. They figured out the problem and had a very reasonable price. It was fixed immediately. If anyone needs service for a ductless system go to these guys!

Been a satisfied residential customer since their beginnings. I recommend them without reservation. I've had a new air conditioner, programmable thermostat and furnace fan, compliments of them. My latest issue involves a humidifier. I expect their success and my satisfaction.

READ THIS!!! Don't call any other HVAC repair/installation company. ECO-COOL is it. They will get to you quickly, figure out the problem, and get it back up and running the way it is supposed to be.

I emailed Eco-Cool at 7AM, they called by 8AM and had a service technician to me after lunchtime that day. Technician identified the problem and had the unit working in 45 minutes and at a very affordable cost.

We will have to eventually get a new ac/heat pump system and when we do, I'm calling Eco-Cool.

We just moved in for about a month. And wouldn’t you know it, our AC stopped working. I have a home warranty but they couldn’t get here for a week during one of the hottest days of the month. I couldn’t stand it any longer. So I searched through google and called 1 place who wasn’t able to get here until the middle of the month. I found this place and the rep on the phone was sooo kind and funny. I told her my issue and within the hour a tech was at my house and fixed my AC! I recommend this company to anyone who finds themselves in a predicament and needs relief immediately. They are professional, courteous and the response time is awesome!

I found the company and it's technicians to be technically proficient in any task we have had them do over several visits for different problems with boilers, central air conditioning and heat pumps. I consider them to be my go-to source in Harford County. I also trust their integrity to be honest. We had a motor that was replaced less than a year ago on our central air conditioning unit and, as sometimes happens, the electrical motor failed again and once we told them and showed them the receipt they replaced the motor for labor cost only.

Our experience with Eco-Cool was outstanding. The technicians were thorough, fast, polite and clearly knew their stuff. We had an issue with the evaporator that we had purchased separately and they were quick to get us back working during the recent heat wave working into the evening to install a second evaporator even though it was not their issue. Steve did the initial work and Joe K installed the replacement evaporator and made sure everything was working, they were awesome. Would never consider anyone else! Everyone was professional and instilled complete confidence in their work. System is working to perfection!

I am beyond pleased with the service we received here. We had another company come out and tell us we needed our whole unit replaced for $6k, they also took days to get us a quote. We wanted a second opinion so we called Eco and they came out right away and got our a/c running in like 15 min for only $300. Lesson learned, I will never go anywhere else!!

What a company!!

We had Eco come out today. They spent at least 2 hours servicing our unit however it turned out the unit needs replaced. Because it was unable to be fixed they did not charge for time and material!!! We will never use another company besides this one!!!

Eco-Cool fixed my HVAC unit quickly and affordably. Seriously, if you want someone who will do a great job and is honest, they should be your first choice. The service tech was polite and friendly, just all around a great experience.

Extremely impressed with Eco-Cool. Air conditioner stopped working mid morning. It was a Saturday (Memorial Day weekend), randomly found Eco-Cool and gave them a call. Steve walked me through what it could possibly be and said I'd have to wait until Tuesday to fix the motor. Steve called me back a few minutes later and advised me to try to move the AC fan with a stick to see if it kicked on and if it kicked on it was a different issue. Sure enough, we used a stick and it turned on. Called Steve back and within 90 minutes Steve was knocking on my door and a few minutes after that, replaced the bad capacitor and the air was working again. The fact that he answered the phone, called me back, and was at my house all within a 2 hour window Memorial Day Weekend is extremely impressive. I have two small children and not having air during the hottest days of spring was not something we were needing. Super grateful for Steve and Eco-Cool for helping us so quickly. We will definitely use them again!

We have had the opportunity to use Steve at Eco-Cool HVAC a few times in the past and have never been disappointed. Friendly, professional service and always quick to respond. I highly recommend them for any job.

I have had terrible luck in the past with HVAC technicians and companies. Eco-Cool is extremely responsive, personable, experienced and honest. We've had a problem we've been trying to diagnose and they've been there every step of the way...including acknowledging that they may have had made a misstep and corrected the issue for free...even though it may have been a pre-existing condition. I won't go anywhere else!

I called them on a Thursday night around 8:30 because my A/C wasn't functioning properly. Expecting to get voicemail, I was floored when someone picked up, took down all of my info and told me to expect a call back from a technician within 30 minutes. Not 3 minutes later the owner of the company, Steve, called me back. He told me he'd have someone out to my house Friday at 12:30. The tech showed up on time and within 30 minutes he had identified a refrigerant leak and started the associated repairs. 90 minutes later everything was back up and running, and my house was finally starting to cool down again. It was wonderful!

At the risk of making this review longer, I feel I have to give kudos to everyone I dealt with. Just the fact that the owner called me back so quickly on a Thursday night was enough to impress the heck out of me, even though I didn't classify it as an emergency. The tech definitely appeared to be well-trained and he did a great job of explaining how the system works and all of the steps he was taking. It was also great that they didn't just skip to recommending I replace the unit, which is probably not that common. All in all, from the professionalism of the employees, to the speed at which this was addressed it certainly helped lessen the sting of spending money I hadn't planned to spend. When it does come time to replace the unit Eco-Cool will be my first call.

Let me explain what type of service and company you get when you call Eco Cool. Not only has the owner himself been at my home in the early am to fix a heat issue in 20 degree weather- he has also out of courtesy hdlped on issues with my AC when my home warranty HVAC company fell short. They are prompt, clean, courteous and the ONLY company I would trust to do work on my HVAC. They are honest and do not recommend needless work and they do not try to overcharge. On the hottest day of the year with +100 degree temperatures, my A/C unit broke down. I called two name-recognizable companies and one local company who specialize in 24 hour service. Two of them said because it happened on a weekend they couldn't get the parts needed (you would think that these companies stocked these parts for such emergencies), and the other one (the local company) tried to diagnose the problem over the phone, saying it sounded like a bad motor and said they also could not get the part. I finally called ECO-Cool HVAC and within 20 minutes received a callback from Steve, the owner, who personally said he would come out and arrived 15 minutes later at 9 pm on a Saturday night. He took me through the process, showed me the bad capacitor, and installed it. So much for the other local company that didn't even want to take the time to come out to my house to determine the problem! Steve said that the motor was very hot and if the AC didn't come back on he would be back first thing in the morning. With one small adjustment, I had my AC again! I would highly recommend Steve and his team. They were friendly, personable, and great to work with. And they were reasonably priced considering the fact that he personally had to rescue 20 customers that day from the sweltering heat!

Our Church was without heat for an upcoming Sunday event.
Eco-Cool was the only company that would provide service on a Saturday.
Steve the owner met me at the church at 2 pm, by 4 pm it was determined that he would need an additional part he did not have.
He met me at the church Sunday at 6 am in the morning so that we could have heat in the church for the special event. He went over & beyond to insure that our needs were met. We are now a new satisfied customer of his. Do not hesitate to call this company.

We had a problem with our HVAC system after hours. Eco-Cool was onsite within an hour. Let me just say thats it's refreshing to have someone to show up to our home that is clean cut, well dressed, and with an upbeat and positive attitude. Not only did Steve get the issue resolved, but he also took the time to fully explain what he was doing as well as offer some simple tips on how our existing system could work more efficiently. It was also very pleasant to not have added on service charges or after hours fees. As for the negative review.... this guy is obviously a competitor and losing a bunch of business to Eco-Cool.
