- My Pond Issue: Leak

- My Attempt to Resolve: I investigated all areas of my pond that presented a leak vulnerability. I narrowed it down to possibly the waterfall spillway where I added some foam. However, this didn't fix the leak.

- Frank to the Rescue: Frank found and fixed the issue within no time!! Frank was very courteous and, more importantly, highly informative!! He identified an area of my pond causing the leak that I had not thought to look for. Here's another thing that oftentimes gets overlooked... good communication! Frank was very responsive in our text exchanges and phone calls. This means a lot when a customer needs support and the company providing it, keeps you in the loop along with providing you their assurance that they have you and your concern within the 'customer's best interest. Thx Frank!!!

I had my koi pond cleaned. Frank did a great job. The water is so clear now. He cleaned it, serviced it, made sure was clear. He took care of my fish in the process. Also fixed to of our outdoor lights, told me about upkeep and give a lot of support. I would recommend them if you have a koi pond.

Will and his company did a phenomenal job on my patio. The original patio company didn’t seal the joints properly or seal the pavers so my grout was coming up.

Frank came to our house for a pond clean out and did an incredible job. The pond was in pretty poor condition, but now it looks incredible. Our fish are very happy as well! I cannot believe how much work he did to restore our pond in such a small amount of time (about a half day). Beyond being a one man show, Frank is very personable. He was happy to answer all of my questions. The next day he sent me recommendations for supplies and equipment to keep the pond and fish healthy. I also appreciate how Easton Outdoors strives to replicate nature in their methods for maintaining water features. I highly recommend their services!

I noticed from my sunroom window that my next door neighbors were getting something done in their backyard by the bank. I couldn’t help but be in a state of awe as I observed a team of men clear their bank and then started laying down railroad ties. My curiosity got the best of me because they were working hard, but they appeared happy. Unbeknownst to me, they were building a wall to keep the water from eroding the land. After they completed their yard, I asked my neighbor if he could introduce me to the person in charge of everything. I met Pat and Jeremiah on the final walkthrough day and the first thing you notice is Pat’s smile and his friendly disposition. Jeremiah was quiet and observant. He took his measuring tape and gingerly walked the perimeter of my bank. After exchanging information, a few days later, Pat called and explained everything regarding the process. Danielle ( Pat’s wife) was a sweetheart. She emailed me a welcome package along with the link to easily make a payment via the website. She kept me abreast on “Everything.” Danielle is a great asset to Easton Outdoors. What can I say about the people who actually get down and dirty to bring your vision into a reality; other than simply amazing. Anderson and his team were both friendly and professional. Every morning, I noticed Anderson would arrive very early to setup for the day. His teammates worked hand and hand together. If, I had any questions or concerns, they took the time to show me how they were going to handle the matter. Even though, they came fully prepared with whatever they needed for the day, I felt compelled to show them just how much I appreciated the hard work they were doing by offering more cold drinks. Once, Anderson and his team finished their part, it was time to bring in the landscaping team. Wilson, came to my door and introduced himself and then he and his teammates went about the business of sealing everything up and putting a bow on the top. They made sure that the surface was leveled before it was time to bring in more topsoil. They planted seeds and placed a protective barrier over the seeds. Pat came back several times during the whole process to ensure everyone had just what they needed to make the project a success. Today, was my final walkthrough with Pat. As usual, he greeted me a smile. I asked if there was a way that I could write a review of my experience with Easton Outdoors. It has been both a pleasure and a blessing to work with all of you. Other companies could take a chapter out of your playbook on extending great customer service. Because, truly, it’s not the age or the size of a business that matters most, but the service it renders. Peace and Power!

They turned a dead space into one of our favorite features of our home now. We turned a covered raised bed (essentially useless as planter) into a fantastic fountainscape. They were prompt to respond to request and finished the job very quickly, will use again in future!

Our community has a large fish pond with bog and we had been searching for a company to help us maintain the pond. Easton was recommended to us by a friend. They were super responsive, competent and reasonably priced. The office person was great in their responses and Frank, the service provider was knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend this team/company.

They did an amazing job in cleaning my pond and getting it back in shape ready to enjoy the fish and plants i would highly recommend them for your pond care needs !!!

What I really liked with Easton’s work was the planning and discussions about the hardscape part and the water feature planned to follow the hardscape installation I was amazed at how well the work was done, professionalism and minimum displacement of the lawn surrounding the work. And the water feature has been wonderful evenings as we enjoy the fire and sounds of the water. Easton has been and remains great to work with as time passes- they don’t forget former clients and they are on top of any issues that may arise. For example I asked about cleaning out between pavers, adding more adhesive type sand and sealing the work. This will add beauty and life to the project. Servicing for Easton is not an afterthought. The staff are quick to respond. For example, my water feature had a minor issue and Easton responded within a couple of workdays. I was well taken care of and appreciate how I am treated.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Will Orr at Easton Outdoors. He did a fantastic job restoring my paver patio to its former beauty. It was a sad, mildew-covered space that now looks like it did 4 years when it was installed. He came out quickly and finished the job in a very timely manner. He was very professional and you can tell that he takes pride in his work. A+ all around!

Easton Outdoors has been a joy to work with for two projects now repairing and improving our existing koi pond with fountain and adding landscaping stairs. The project leaders were knowledgable and creative and the whole team was very professional. I’m thrilled with the outcome and intend to work with them over the years for my outdoor contracting and pond maintenance needs.

I had some work done on a Bluestone patio, which a different contractor damaged by leaving concrete glaze and poorly executed mortar joints. Will from Easton came out, assessed, and repaired the stone, bringing it back to its natural state without damage. Excellent work, and I will definitely hire him for future projects!

I cannot give enough praise and that a boy's to EASTON OUTDOORS for the jobs they do for us. The owner is so knowledgeable, proficient that we plan on using them as long as we are in this home. They do maintenance on our waterfall and installed the lights around it and the flagpole in the front. they maintain all of the above we very highly recommend them, you will be so glad. you did!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! 1st, they do beautiful work. But not only that, they come in, get the job done quickly and efficiently, are communicative, clean up after themselves and makes sure the customer is 100% satisfied with their job. Easton Outdoors created my wife and I an outdoor space that included a new 300+ sq ft. paver patio along with an attached two-item water feature (Ball Fountain and Bowl). They completed the patio in three days and the water feature in one day along with a second day of fine tuning and showing us “how to” AND they made a personal “how to use everything” video WOW! Now that’s going above!!

Easton outdoors has done a few projects for us over the years (Saint Bede Catholic Church) and most recently repaired a side retaining wall on our pond. We were trying to add water and the level would not rise. Knew we had a leak. Frank came over and found the leak on the back side of the pond. He took the time to pull some vegetation out and lengthen the liner and re supported it and we have gained about 2" of water height. They are coming out again soon to do some routine maintenance on it.
Would highly recommend this company.

Frank and his crew do an excellent job maintaining our pond. From the spring cleaning to keeping the leaves out over the winter, they keep our pond looking sharp year round. The plants are vigorous, the waterfall cascades, and the water is clear. And the fish seem to live the attention.

Easton did a phenomenal job with paver installation in our backyard. They are detail oriented, and very professional. We highly recommend them!!!

Taking expert care of taking the Koi out and putting them into a separate tubs since I had over 35 Koi.
The care of the Koi and the water lilies was remarkable.

Jim Miller and his crew from Easton Outdoors could not have done a better job for our “water capture” project. My wife and I wanted to resolve an excessive rain water downpour from a metal roof valley and capture the water for vegetable & flower gardens as well as for use in emergencies. Jim provided us with a beautiful, functional water cistern including a water feature that we admire daily! Not only do we appreciate the hard work of Jim and his crew but were thankful for Jim’s honesty and integrity throughout the project!

The entire process from the first meeting to the end was great. The owner Micah is very nice and everyone who works with him is super helpful. Their office manager Danielle called me every Friday to give me updates on the scheduling. I was given an excellent quote and the work was done in a day and a half. They graded my yard around the patio and added straw to help the grass grow. My project was small comparatively speaking to what they usually install but they made me feel importany. I highly recommend them for any size project.

Where to even start? Easton was recommended by a friend of ours. We did shop around but the creativity, kindness, and low pressure approach - and pricing - sealed the deal. Micah met with us and took the time and patience to ask the right questions to help design a space we love. And seeing his sketch come to life was awesome! Easton Outdoors, Poquoson Va. came to Chesapeake and rebuilt my backyard pond. Removed everything and saved the rocks, resized and shaped the pond. installed new sub liner and then a heavy liner. Worked by hand to place each stone around the pond and water run from the fall. Good pricing and Great work.

Me and my husband were just going to have a plain and very simple firepit area installed but after talking with Micah and him showing us all kinds of beautiful pictures we decided to add somethings !!
We added lighting , plants and bushes and shrubs around our deck and rock and a few trees planted with lighting around the yard and very pretty uplighting around the front of our house .
Now we have the most gorgeous house in the neighborhood !!
The communication between the whole group was absolutely amazing with a quick call or text back . They are always on point !!
We also had many laughs , jokes and fun times working with everyone .

Micah came out promptly and helped us design out space, and then kept in touch weekly to let us know when work would begin. At the end we met again just to make sure everything was right, and then they pressure washed to make sure everything was neat and clean. They took care of all the details - the fence, the sprinkler system, the plants - and all we had to do was sit on our new patio and enjoy. I can heartily recommend Easton Outdoors to anyone looking for pond maintenance. They give me an annual clean out and monthly maintenance visits during the warmer season. The clean out is especially helpful because it restores the clarity of the water and reveals all the underwater features that make my pond unusual. Frank and his crew are especially careful with my koi during the time the pond is drained and we have not lost a one! Can’t say the same during Great Blue Heron visits, but Easton has helped by putting up a protective net system. A canopy of live oaks create semi-annual leaf and flowerlet drops that can be a pain but their systems help control the problem. I am happy to recommend them.

We recently hired Easton-Outdoors to reconstruct a 10 year old pond that was deteriorating. One waterfall had shifted and no longer functioned. The other waterfall was also in poor condition, with a leak that needed to be found. Our property was scheduled to be on a state-wide garden tour, so it was imperative to clean and reconstruct the pond. Frank Council completely drained and cleaned the pond. He found several areas that needed patching and he rebuilt the sides and both waterfalls. He added a fountain in the center of the pond and a spiller on the side of the pond. To make it stunning, he planted flowers on each level of the waterfalls and in the spiller. People on the garden tour were so impressed and the comments were wonderful!

Easton took an old flower bed and re-created a grilling area for us!! It is absolutely beautiful and we will have many years of entertaining on it!
A big thank you to the men and ladies who constructed it and worked diligently and with care. Thank you also to Pat and Micah for your consultation. It was an easy, beautiful process!

Frank Counsel with Easton Outdoors has greatly improved our Koi pond in many ways. Frank’s knowledge of the Koi industry has been a huge help with our greater enjoyment of our Koi, he has added a variety of beneficial additions of plants and chemicals to enhance our visual enjoyment of our Koi pond and reduce our cleaning time. Since Frank arrived on the seen we have been able to spend more our time enjoying our Koi.

We extended our patio and put in a new firepit, and also did some hardscaping around our driveway. We couldn’t be happier with the job! From design to completion, Micah and team transformed our property from fallow to fabulous in 2 days while exhibiting high levels of professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the project.

We purchased a home with a small fish pond in need of help. I contacted Easton Outdoors to look at it and as soon as I met Micah, I knew I had the right company. He had some great ideas and worked to stay in my budget. They started with cleaning and added filters, to adding a bio bowl and just finished making the pond deeper, wider and added a small waterfall. Frank and his crew handled all three projects and did a fantastic job on all of them. I have called Easton Outdoors over some small issues, mostly user error and frank responded quickly and resolved each issue immediately. You will not regret using Easton Outdoors. Highly recommend.

Frank is the best ,he did a complete clean out of my pond last summer. It was a mess, it looks beautiful now. If you've got any kind of problem, I'm sure he can fix it for you. He's very knowledgeable.Easton is the best.

The people from Easton were excellent from the first time we talked to them. The amount of work to do our hard scape was way more involved than I could imagine. The work was as neat as cutting every block would allow but the end result was just what they had laid out for our vision.

Micah gave great advice and suggestions, finally coming up with a beautiful design. And then Pat and his crew saw it through to fruition! The final product turned our backyard slope into a beautiful entertaining space. Pat’s communication was bar none. The work fell over the Christmas holidays and even though they were closed, he still communicated and had his crew out so our backyard oasis could be completed. I would recommend Easton to anyone!

When it came time to replace our old deck and swimming pool, a friend recommended easton outdoors who had created a backyard space for them. The project turned out beautiful and we have really enjoyed the features that they added to our patio. Sitting by the fire listening to the water feature is one of my favorite activities. My wife and grandson love sitting in the hot tub. My son in law has turned into the grill master in the new kitchen. Well let me just say, in my sixty five years I have worked with many contractors. I took four bids on this job and Easton gave me the most reasonable bid. Mica was very straight forward and quick with his bid, which was a relief after all the game playing with the other contractors. The project manager, Pat, is a real asset to this company. He was very professional and easy to speak with, always available for questions. The crew were friendly, did a remarkable job, and cleaned up the site afterward, far exceeding what I expected. I would highly recommend Easton outdoors.

I wanted to share my experience with Easton Outdoors, and the team that came to work on my pond. It is not a tiny pond. When I called, they told me Frank would be in touch to discuss. Although they are very busy, he was quick to call and offer to come out and give a quote. Frank’s communication with me was consistent and timely throughout the process start to finish.. Also the wait time to have the pond taken care of was not long at all. He brought his team, all very pleasant and efficient. They worked very hard at getting my pond cleaned out and basically revitalized it beyond its original beauty!. We can now enjoy it once again! Both my husband and I have back issues and aren’t able to care for it as in the past. He added lights which added a beautiful glow, and ambience. I cannot stop looking at it. Frank returned when the leaves started to fall to cover it with dome shaped piping and net. As my husband said, it never looked that good when he covered it.! Definitely worth getting professionals to do certain things in your life! So you can sit back and enjoy. I have asked for maintenance from them as well. Reasonable costs. I love them! And highly recommend.

After checking out their website and some of the projects they have completed, I wasn't sure they would be interested in a simple koi pond clean up and a liner issue. However, I received a call back the next day and they took time to speak with me and gain a better understanding. Frank came out and really took his time educating me and diagnosing the problem. We scheduled a follow up for trimming landscaping and some other things I wanted done. Really could not be more satisfied! I highly recommend. I have had wonderful service from Easton Ponds from the beginning of my hiring them to clean my pond and Frank suggested some additions that will make the operation of my pond much easier. TJ and crew came out yesterday and did an amazing job clearing the overgrown water plants and the bank of my very large pond. They also raked the algae out and it looks like a new pond again. They are so friendly and determined to do the best job possible!! I am so thrilled to have found this local company after using Solitude, a national company that did the bare minimum for $200.00 per month and I couldn’t get them to keep it clean, especially along the banks. I purchased a new home that included a rock wall fountain in the living room. I wanted to be sure it worked properly before I turned it on. Frank and his crew came by and assessed the fountain, lining, and pump. They also provided instruction and recommendations. They left us feeling very confident about our beautiful fountain. The best part is that Frank followed up a few days later to check on us. Excellent customer service!

Such a difficult situation. Hired for vinyl fence installation. Verbally promised no subcontracting- however it was. Through all of the countless issues with communication, work quality, no shows, dragging out correcting all of the many problems with the installation including sagging, pieces falling out, caps falling off, gate issues, uneven installation etc etc. Micah never showed up. The first team came and removed the fence and deck and had the new fence up in record time- and the quality was quickly apparent. A second group came to repair the issues with the first group and so on. Truly it was a mess and a huge headache. We were scheduled for a backyard design mid July. That date came and went and we could not get return communication from Micah. He will say we couldn’t come to a budget or design agreement which isn’t entirely untrue but if you don’t put effort into communicating or designing then certainly you cannot come to an agreement but we had a firm date. We purchased a Pergola to be installed and a hot tub which had to be returned as it was date specific. It was apparent from his social media that he was in another state working for a high profile client during our appnt time. If as a business you choose that route the professional thing would be to notify your upcoming appnts that you need to move them if possible verses ghosting them. We would not choose to utilize their services again. Three stars is tremendously kind given the situation and only given b/c of the work Micah is capable of verses what we received. The fence is just ok.- We remain concerned about longevity. To rectify the sagging- cement blocks were placed under the panels. I’m not entirely sure why the panels are so far off the ground to require that or why there is sagging of a brand new fence. This isn’t the look I expected of an expensive vinyl fence.

We inherited our large koi pond with the home we purchased in 2018. It has a waterfall feature and a very intricate filter system. Needless to say we had no clue. The water kept leaking out the waterfall stopped working, we lost over half the fish in it. We were desperate for help. Had several companies say they could fix the issues with no resolve.

Finally we found Easton Outdoors! Frank and his coworker showed up, cleaned out the pond, made sure there we no leaks in the liner, got the pond and waterfall plus filter working properly!!!! They even brought us new fish to add to the pond! Easton Outdoors is amazing!!! Cannot wait to add more pretties to our pond.

They assessed my pond and gave me ways to keep it clear and free of algae. They did a half water change while here and added good bacteria. Suggested I get plants and also suggested different types. They responded to my phone call the same day and on day of appointment they were on time, friendly and professional. I won’t call any other company for helping me with my pond

Anyone looking for a great company to take care of your koi pond this is it. They have cleaned my pond for the past several years. This year they created a different waterfall than the plain spout type I had.
Anytime I ever had a question or problem all it took was a phone call or text and I always got a quick response.
This is my go to guy/ company for pond maintenance of any kind and should be yours also

I guess when you have at least 20+ koi that go 15-20 lb each, plus 40 or so of the assorted sized babies and goldfish occupying water meant for half that many, you are going to start having water quality problems. The last 6 months or so, nothing has worked to keep my water clear. How much poop does a 15 lb koi produce in a month anyway?

So it was time for Frank and Eason Outdoors to come to the rescue. And on 24 Oct, Frank hauled 29 15-20 lb koi out of the pond and safely deposited them in bubbly tanks. Knowing how to move a fish that big without injuring it is the most important thing to me. After the pond was drained, Frank was all over the pond cleaning the rocks and vacuuming out the accumulated muck at the bottom.

Then water from the tanks was pumped back in along with fresh water and the careful process of returning the fish to the pond started. All these steps are important because if you screw any of them up, you can injure or kill a very expensive large koi.

Frank knows his business and I trust him to care as much about my fish as I do. I have asked him to do some more work for me on pond maintenance and aesthetics. I look forward to his ideas and the 110% quality execution you always get with Eason Outdoors. I thank you Frank and the koi thank you.

A small miracle occurred yesterday for my 20 year old koi and their pond. Because of a

pond cleaning gone wrong years ago, I lost some of my favorite fish and I became very anxious about having my koi taken out of the pond to clean it.

The pond was covered in black muck and my filtration bog desperately needed cleaning. I was seriously worried about water quality for my large koi, some of which go 24 inches and are my precious pets. Frank, the owner of Easton Outdoors, explained in detail what he would do to safeguard my fish. I decided to trust his knowledge and skill.

Frank, TJ and the staff came yesterday morning and had more than a 100 koi and giant goldfish out of the pond in short order, safe in two large tanks. The pond and bog were so hideously dirty it took them 3-4 hours to clean it.

They made repairs to the rock sides and cleaned the small falls so that the big slabs of slate were clean and shiny. They cleaned all the pump drains and generally fixed anything that needed fixing. They opened all the bog drain pipes and vacuumed all the accumulated muck out of them. Afterwards the bog falls were running like Niagara falls. I was really pleased.

After the cleaning was done, TJ started filling my sparkling clean pond with water. You could see the bottom and all the clean rocks again. The fish continued to be comfortable in their tanks. Then it was time to put the fish back in the pond. I could tell TJ loved the fish as much as I do. He took his time carefully catching each one in a net so they were head first out the end of the net. Then he very quickly and gently put each of my babies in the pond. I was so happy to see them safely back in the water.

After the fish were all safely back in the water, the Easton staff continued to fix things I'd wanted fixed and adjusted around the pond and bog. They left everything cleaned up and pretty and I felt like I'd met friends who cared as much about old slow moving Big Blue and Big Orange as I did. Most of all, I feel confident in trusting their skill and caring for my 20 year old pets.

Now if Frank and TJ could figure out how I could have some water lilies in the pond. My koi eat them like chocolate chip cookies. Thanks TJ and the guys, I look forward to seeing you at monthly maintenance time.

6/10 Update: Frank was out for our yearly cleaning today and when he was finished cleaning the pond and fixing our lights we feel like we have a new pond and the fish are loving it as much as we are.

We hired Easton Outdoors to create our Dream Pond and they showed us how to dream. Every Detail of our experience and the end result was professional perfection, from the communication before, during and after to the placement of the last rock.
