Eastern Basements

Highly recommended!! Of all the companies hired to work on the house after storm damage this January, Eastern has been the most professional, responsive, prompt, organized, neat, trustworthy, and performed the highest quality work. The entire process of having the sump pump and commercial dehumidifier installed was smooth and easy. The project manager, Alex, was exceedingly helpful and pleasant explaining my options during the site visit and responded the same day to my (many!) follow-up emails. The installers, including Chris and Dale, were highly skilled and did beautiful work, and I enjoyed my conversations with them, as well. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience!

In short, I had a back flow of water into my basement through a mysterious hole and was looking for opinions/solutions. I scheduled an consultation/estimate and they were very knowledgeable, professional and I was surprised by the various services they provide. They assembled a detailed proposal, and were glad to go through a revision process and answer questions. Ultimately we extended our sump pump discharge inside and out, routing new PVC in the basement and digging a 60' trench for PVC to the back of our property. We also replaced a couple rusted basement post due to the water back flow. The installation crew was professional and did a quality job. They also went above and beyond cleaning up pre-existing debris.

I would highly recommend Eastern Basements for the quality work, detailed estimates and professionalism that most contractors do not offer.

Had a wonderful experience with Eastern Basements that solved a long-standing water issue in our crawl space. Communication was excellent from the time of the first visit to see what was going on through installation through follow-up questions we had. We knew what was going to happen, when, and why. The team was professional, knew what they were doing, and left no trace except a great rubberized barrier to prevent water from coming in and a new sump pump. No more musty smell in our house. Highly recommend.

I had just recently purchased a fairly old house that had a damp basement and quite frankly the basement just needed some updating in more ways than one. When I researched companies in the area that could do what I was looking for, Eastern Basement checked all the right boxes and they lived up to their 5 star reviews! From the time I reached out to them, Derek and his team were on the project in no time. They were fairly priced and extremely efficient with their time. Now I have a high quality water proofed basement, sump pump, and a brand new concrete floor that makes the basement look like new again! I can’t thank the team at Eastern Basement enough, and I highly recommend them to anyone with any sort of foundation/basement need!

Derek, Chris, and every team member we interacted with in between were exceptional. We now have a clean and dry basement, encapsulated ledge, and high quality sump pump. Eastern Basements treated our home with the utmost care and I felt confident in the team they sent to complete the job. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

We've been happy with Eastern Basements from start to finish on our project. We'd use them again (though hope to not need to!) and I'd recommend them to friends. Professional and responsive throughout the whole process.

Update to 3 stars: After some reflection towards the end of my remodel process, the prices that I paid eastern for work done, and the quotes they gave me for work I didn’t complete was way too high. As a loyal customer, I really think they price gouged me. Also, everything they did required them to come back and re-fix it at least once.

I have an old house (1900s) with a cobbled-stone foundation that had a wet musty basement with areas of open soil. Eastern Basements fixed it all for me. They installed 2 sump pumps, an industrial dehumidifier and covered the floor. That was over 2 years ago and I have had no water or humidity in the basement since. They were extremely professional. The workers introduced themselves every morning and cleaned up everything before they would leave. A few months later, when I wasn't sure about something, they were very responsive and sent someone to check it out the same day! I recommend this company to everyone I know who has basement issues.

Eastern Basements installed a full drainage system, sump pump with battery backup, moisture remediation and a concrete floor in my house, which had a dirt basement floor (fieldstone foundation). Their work is excellent and the team is great to work with. They're among the now rare companies that stay in regular contact with their clients. Team members are knowledgable, completely competent, and reliable. Their contract is highly detailed and clear. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Professional, knowledgable, hard-working, friendly and efficient are just a handful of words to describe Eastern Basements and their amazing team! I purchased a 200 year old inn in 2014 that needed almost everything and went about replacing roofs, septic systems, plumbing, electric and so much more to still have a musty, damp space leaving me frustrated and the building at risk of additional problems in the future. After meeting with Bob and one of his sons for the estimate, I had the feeling that this was the outfit for me. The crew showed up on time each day and rocked the project out and what a difference it made!!! The only regret I have is not taking "before" photos for my building journal. I have had local contractors stop by and ask for a tour and they are blown away too, thanks Eastern Basement!!!

My husband and I retained Eastern Basements to treat our interior cellar walls with a water proof/water resistant paint. But first they had to scrape all of the peeling paint and crumbling cement from the walls, vacuum them, and prepare them for paint. What a job!! The crew, led by Jordan Tracy, was hard-working, polite, CLEAN, thorough, and professional. We are thrilled with the outcome!

Our basement flooded and this company was awesome from the very first call! Great customer service, prompt, professional work. Also followed the CDC guidelines for COVID. Highly recommend this company!

I interviewed 3 contractors for the job of drying in my basement. Without a doubt Eastern Basements sent the most knowledgeable estimators. This was proven when I received their 50 item scope letter detailing exactly what they will do. They were not the lowest price however they provided what my basement needed for a complete job. The install crew was efficient, polite and cleaned up everyday. Best of all no surprises! The owner called me the week before install to go over the estimate and asked if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend them.

Not a good experience with Eastern Basement. They "forgot" my first appointment for a quote. Rescheduled. Then said worker was sick and cancelled that appointment. Left a voicemail and no response for several days. Doubt they are ever coming. Blew me off. Not good business practices.

I am fully satisfied with the communication, professionalism, and attitude of Eastern Basement and it's employees. The work estimate and knowledge is very thorough and complete, although the repairs cannot be afforded by myself at this time. The attention to detail and commitment to quality is still evident. After speaking with Ellen on the phone after my primary review, the issues were completely resolved. Ellen and team went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. Changed to 5 stars.

We needed mold removal and to update our basement : new sump pump, dehumidifier, gutter system, and crawlspace waterproofing with spray foam insulation. The works!. And we can’t say enough positive feedback for this Incredible Team!!! They were punctual, professional, accurate, knowledgeable, and Extremely hard working!! They had a quick response time and turn around time to start the project and answered all our questions. They gave us a detailed proposal of itemized project work- which solidified our confidence and assurance with this company. We would highly recommend them for any basement project and their work can’t be surpassed! You will be pleased with the results and they are worth every penny :). Incredible people and excellent work !
