The installers did a great job. Everything was cleaned up. They went above and beyond what I expected as they fixed a broken and worn piece of wood on the side of my garage where squirls were getting in and out of. They also worked and communicated well with the other contractor that was doing the other side of my roof.

DR Roof just finished putting new roofing on my whole house and garage. From the initial contact for the quote to completion of the job and cleanup, I was impressed. A dumpster and materials for the job arrived the day before. When they arrived, before they moved anything in the yard, they took pictures of the yard. After moving everything out of the way to a safe spot, they quickly got started on removing the existing roofing, taking pictures continuously to capture the structure and ensuring no hidden damage. They quickly moved to get the roofing underlayers and replaced the skylight. They didn’t leave until they had everything covered and weather safe. Next day, they were back and shingles were going down and things were looking great. The attention to detail on the lead flashing around the chimneys made such an impression on me. The replacement of everything that had been moved was impressive. Cousin It (see pictures) had taken a beating from the wind and they took the time to put him back together. A great company and workforce that I highly recommend.

We contracted D.R. Roof to replace our roof and two fixed skylights. Had a solid day of rain the day after they finished the project and so far, things look good. The roof looks great. I feel their team was quick and responsive. They finished up a little late at night when it was dark out with the cleanup, but they sent someone by the next day to make sure they didn't miss anything. Really appreciate their attention to detail.

Dr Roof is great. This was something I was dreading, replacing the roof, as I am a co-trustee of a small self governor condo association. They helped me sort it out every step of the way. This was by far the easiest business to work with. Steve, Alex, and Manny are very professional. You know they take pride in their work. They were very reliable, communicated very well, and came and went without a speck of debris found anywhere on my property...and this is after removing five (gulp!) layers of roof shingles. I highly recommend them and will use them again if any other building of mine needs roof work.

Initially we were just having a repair for a leek. We ended up replacing the whole roof due to issues we weren't awhere of.

I have done business with DrRoof 3x and have been a very happy customer. Even though I have used them previously, I am a firm believer in getting multiple quotes for any/all construction work. They have always come in on par (not cheapest/not most expensive) and because their work is so good, I've continued to utilize their services.

My goodness, no one wants to have to replace their roof - but after seeking quotes from multiple companies, it was clear beyond words that Dr. Roof was the right choice. The quote was on par with other companies - but the communication, information sharing, timeliness, professionalism, and options were paramount!!! The quality of not only the products that are provided, but also the workers, and communication was some I have not seen from construction companies and contractors...maybe ever (and my family works in construction!). We needed an unusual roof replaced and Dr Roof did a fabulous job. We contacted four companies for estimates. Alex was the only person who gave us a very detailed explanation of why the roof was like it was. He also clearly explained what they would do to remedy it. We had his estimate within two days and it was a very fair estimate within the four that we got, but it was the time Alex took to explain and describe everything that made our decision easy.

We have a very old house and the roof was in extremely bad shape. Alex came over on a Saturday to provide an estimate and by Saturday afternoon I had the estimate in my e-mail. From then on the process was entirely painless. Manny and the crew came and were awesome on the job site. They did everything we had discussed in the estimate and we could not have been happier. I am in the customer service business and I have to say I'm not sure I've ever dealt with another business that was as spot on with their customer service as D.R Roof. I plan on using them in the future and I would highly recommend them.

D.R. Roof exceeded my expectations! I came across D.R. Roof during a very difficult situation- what I thought was a simple insurance claim for some mold related to ventilation issues in my attic had turned into needing an entire new roof and NONE of it was covered by insurance due to poor workmanship from the previous contractor. If that wasn’t bad enough- I had a deadline in which to get the work done (5 months) or else, I would lose my house insurance on a home I had only purchased 4 years ago. I had received several estimates from roofers who threw out outrageously high pricing without little or no inspection of my property. Other roofers scared me into thinking my situation was much worse than it was- giving me estimates for not only the roof but telling me I needed all new plywood and rafters throughout- again without thorough inspection of my property. I felt stuck, none of the estimates were reasonable based on my own research, I had no help on how to further navigate my insurance company (on what I thought was an unfair determination) until I met with D.R. Roof. Steve and his team really listened to my concerns, not only were they able to do the work at a more than fair price, Steve went above and beyond to help me pursue other avenues through my insurance company in hopes to reclaim some of my out of pocket cost! D.R. Roof gives you video and pictures of the work being done on your home which can be, and was in my situation, extremely helpful in pushing back on the insurance company. His team was professional, caring, clean and quick! There is a complete open line of communication while working with D.R. Roof and you will know exactly what to expect and when- there are no surprises. You always have a contact to call which is reassuring and this took much of the anxiety out of the situation for me. The team’s work and cleanup was impeccable; my neighbors even went out of their way to comment on how impressed they were with D.R. Roof watching them replace my roof from their own homes- even giving them a shout out on Facebook! D.R. Roof really went above and beyond in my opinion, they were able to provide me with a beautiful new roof which I know is installed properly, well ventilated and up to code, but they really looked at my unique situation with my insurance company and guided me through the process of claiming back some of the cost. I will proudly leave out my D.R. Roof sign in my yard as I can’t recommend them enough!

We suffered hail damage to our roof back in 2012. In 2013, we contracted with Dr Roof to have roof stripped and replaced. The crew showed up when expected and completed project on time and left the grounds as clean as they found them. They came back a year later to inspect the roof and gave us a good report. Fast forward to 2020 and we lost a section of ridge cap in a severe wind storm. Dr Roof promised to come out before the next rain to effect repairs. The insurance adjuster asked how long ago the roof had been done. He could not believe it had been 7 years. He said the roof looked absolutely great. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Roof for you roofing needs.

Steve runs a great family business. He came out quickly to do an estimate; used a drone which allowed me to see exact condition of my entire roof,, spent the extra time to source quality materials in short supply due to covid. They set a date and stuck to that date, did an excellent job, protected my shrubs, left the grounds immaculate, brought a port-a-potty. Alex, the manager, stayed on site the entire time and was gracious about my wanting to observe, answered every question. I watched the whole job, knowing something about roofing, and was pleased with the expertise of the entire crew, not just one person. The whole crew was proficient, professional and courteous. I highly recommended them! Absolutely top notch work at a competitive price. They used a drone to survey the roof to come up with a quotation, and they provided me with a video showing their work from beginning to the end, with a drone taking pictures and recording videos as the work progressed. DR Roof saved our home and we cannot thank Alex and the team enough. Right before we went on a week long vacation, we found a shingle in the backyard. We found DR Roof online and Alex came right away on a Saturday to take a look. We bought a new construction and the builder did a half ass job on installing the roof. It was obviously not up to code, because it was a complete hack job. They installed the new roof in one day and cleaned the yard up nicely. We especially appreciate the video that shows how badly our roof was installed by the builder. Highly recommend DR Roof and the price is just RIGHT.

Dr Roof did a great job installing our new roof back in 2013. Even though they were referred by a neighbor we called other companies for quotes and found Dr Roof's price to be very fair. They were prompt, courteous, professional, got the job done for the price they quoted. Clean up was excellent. The roof has been great. No issues. Now flash forward to 2017. Two weeks ago after days of very high winds a couple of tiles blew off the peak of the side roof over our family room. This happened on a Friday and the forecast was for snow - a lot of snow! - on Tuesday and we were concerned about this issue. I sent an email to Steve over the weekend and he promised his team would be there on Monday. They came as promised, fixed the issue before the storm came, and we have had no issues since. This kind of service is so rare these days! I highly recommend Dr Roof to anyone in need of a new roof. I am sure you will be as pleased as we have been

The short: DR Roof did a great job on our roof and delivered everything they promised. If you need a new roof, based on my experience, I can highly recommend them.
The long: After over 100 years, our slate roof needed to be replaced. We called 4 different roof companies and decided to go DR Roof based on several factors.
• They impressed me from the start when they came out. I called them because they have a product called Enviro-Slate, and after looking at our roof Alex gave me an estimate of $45,000 but instead of trying to sell me the more expensive product he asked if I'd like him to estimate an asphalt shingle roof. He explained that today all asphalt shingles have to be recycled when they are removed and so they are not as environmentally hazardous as they once were. Also that the life of asphalt shingles is pretty comparable nowadays to Enviro-slate.
• Their whole approach to the roof project was very user friendly, they have an impressive brochure which explains the whole roofing procedure in detail so an ordinary person can understand, many videos online where you can see them doing the work, THEY TAKE CREDIT CARDS--a huge plus for us as we didn't have the cash on hand to pay up front--all the other roofers we called were strictly cash, who has that kind of money lying around? They also offer other kinds of financing. (To be clear they add the 2.75% fee that the credit card company charges them but for us it's worth it, and a better rate than any bank loan we could get.)
• I liked what I found online about Owen Corning shingles, it seems like a good product. I highly recommend doing your homework about ventilation, shingles etc. It was very helpful for us.
• Their price was below what the other roofers were asking.
• They promised that they could be out within 10 days of our accepting their bid (and they were).
• Steve, the owner, came out and explained the whole process to us, and we're glad he warned us about how dusty the removal of a slate roof can be. We emptied our attic and boy are we glad we did! Getting the dust of hundreds of individual items would have been a nightmare. As a side bonus, it spurred us to get rid of a bunch of stuff we had accumulated.
• After doing a bunch of on line research we opted to add plywood to our roofing boards. Their cost for this was half what another roofer estimated. If you have an old roof that uses roofing boards I would recommend this as the old boards can crack under the force of the nailers that most all roofers use today. It's an added layer of protection for your roof and your house and well worth it. Even with that added, their price was lower than the other estimates.
• When they came they were on time. The on-site foreman, Manny, was courteous and all the work was done in two days. While doing the work they found that our chimney was badly in need of pointing, even missing a brick at the base. They offered to repair it for a very reasonable price and came and did the work the next day.
• Everything was done as promised they took extra care to clean up our yard and the dumpster was removed in a timely manner.
Were they perfect? No, I had to do some cleaning of the gutters, the attic, and replace gutter covers (which I had planned to do anyway). However, they do more than many of their competitors and we were very satisfied with the end result. I especially love all the pictures and video (even though it took longer than originally forecast--3 months instead of 6 to eight weeks). I figure that the video is something they do as they have time so if they’re busy doing roofs they don’t get to them as quickly, maybe they should consider hiring someone to do this part of the office work.

Added 11/1/17 Above and beyond. When we were getting solar panels installed I emailed Steve to see if our warranty would be affected. He said he could send someone to check the roof once the panels were installed to be sure they were installed without damaging the shingles. And he did! Thank you DR Roof!!
