My residence had a structural issue that demanded prompt attention. Donovan Contracting used the engineers' specifications to obtain a building permit. This took some time and Relina actively kept me updated during the permit process. Gary and Patrick were ***outstanding*** in completing the project to the engineers' specifications. My experience with Donovan Contracting was terrific from start to finish. I consider Donovan Contracting an asset to our community and strongly recommend them to my fellow residents and business owners.

Chris Holden was our estimator, Gary, Pat, and Cameron did the repair work. All the individuals did fine work on the home repairs. Very respectful and understanding with our problems. Courtney has worked with us on ordering carpet and will be installed soon.

I had a water leak in the wall of my kitchen. The team at Donovan Contracting came in and refloored most of my house and rebuilt the kitchen and bathroom after it was gutted to the studs and slab for potential mold treatment. They rebuilt it even better than it was. All of the cabinets were reinstalled without any damage. Everyone I dealt with was professional and listened to my inputs and concerns. I was going through a miserable situation and they helped me get through it very well.

Company was helpful, prompt, and professional! Chris H answered all of our questions and was very thorough with his responses. Much appreciated!

Chris Holden at Donovan Contracting was the best. He was knowledgeable, prompt and really helpful during a very stressful time. Surprise water leaks during the holidays are just the worst. Had my estimate within 48 hours.

Donovan did a great job at remodeling my apartment after it had water damage I just dis liked how Long it took but it was a nice job once it was finished! I recommend donovan!

They were professional and the work was quality. When there was an issue the responses were quick and the problem was fixed to my satisfaction. Chris Holden was very helpful and extremely prompt in responding to phone calls. My overall experience was a positive one and I would recommend them.

I've been trying to contact someone for almost a month now regarding the work they started on our place and failed to finish. They told my landlord that everything was good to go and ready to move in. What a nightmare.

- The trimming was blocking the fridge door from opening. Their expert solution was to cut a square in the trim for the door to open instead of placing another trim that properly fits.

- All our wall plates for our outlets are missing. The ones they left for us are the wrong size, and the old ones are missing screws.

- The cabinets were missing the pegs for the shelf support. I don't understand how that happens.

- We've been trying to contact someone about the threshold they forgot to put in the floor separating the tile to our bathroom and the new flooring for weeks now. No response.

After about a week of moving in and dealing with these defects, we've continued trying to contact someone about these issues. I even went out of my way to talk to another contractor working from Donovan on a different unit within my complex, and his response was, "I don't know. Everyone is on vacation."

Usually, I would let this fly and deal with the poor work that was considered a finished job. But this was not handled professionally. This is where most of my frustration is coming from. I hate to be a Karen, but please, put yourself in my position and tell me you wouldn't be disappointed.

Donovan Contracting did a great job on our bathroom remodels. They were professional, communicated well and did good work. Would hire them again!

John and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They have done many jobs for me from my business to home. They are on time, they clean up post project everyday, they keep to a timeline and the attention to detail is right on par with what we look for. I would high recommend then for interior paint and remodel.

Saw an ad on TV about Donovan Contracting Services and the commercial said that they do painting of kitchen cabinets and video showing them doing it, so I gave them a call on a Friday morning. It's now 10:30 on the following Monday and still no one called me. So I called them. They said that they don't serve Fernley, NV. We're like a 35 min. drive from Sparks/Reno. Then when I told them that we would bring the cabinets in to paint, they said that my job was too small anyway. We need our cabinets expertly painted, but they won't do it. I'm very disappointed. How long does it take to spray paint on cabinets? They said they are too busy. Well if they are too busy, why are they spending thousands of dollars on a TV commercial?? We just wanted them done right. I don't think a company should show TV commercials of them painting cabinets in kitchens if they are too busy to do the work or even return phone calls. Also, their TV commercial should say, "We don't serve Fernley, or anywhere outside of Reno" so people don't waste their time calling and waiting for someone to call them back. Ba humbug!

Great group of guys to work with. I'll be looking forward to seeing them on more projects in the near future!

The job was to restore major damage caused by a water leak in the crawl space under the house. The job was to remove carpet, remove and replace bathroom tile in two bathrooms and replace carpet in two rooms with hardwood floors. During this period, we didn't have use of this part of our home.
We paid 50% of their asking restoration price before restoration task was started.
1. They showed up and started the project quickly.
2. In about 3 weeks they "finished" the job and presented us with their final bill.
3. A day or so after they departed we discovered the lack of quality in the work and care they had taken while working in our home.
- Newly installed hardwood floors have multiple gouges/scrapes
- Newly painted walls, doors and jams have scuffs and scrapes
- Careless in moving existing furniture in and out of the bedroom
- New Vanity has adhesive residue (hardened) underneath the surface

We paid a premium price for mediocre work. We would have loved to be able to rate this company with 5 Stars, but with the final result of their work (which we paid a very high price) was pretty bad.
