Had a great experience with our remodeling project. We relied heavily on their experience to help us navigate through the process.

As a retired contractor with over 50 years experience, I thought long and hard about replacing the 31 windows in my home myself. My greatest worries were about the quality of the installation and the air leaks that could be the result. Mr. Dollman listened to my concerns and assured me that he would monitor the work of his crew and be sure that I would be satisfied.
His crew was fantastic! They were polite, concerned about any interruptions and talanted in their trade. We were very pleased with the project.

Dollman Construction did a great job remodeling my front porch. The project manager Rob Horne was very easy to communicate with by text and phone through the construction process. We did have a little delay waiting for the entry and storm door deliveries but once they were delivered the project was completed in a timely manner. I am very pleased with their work.

Dollman did a fantastic job with our projects. My wife and I had our house under contract and needed the repairs done quick and professionally. Colt was great to work with and answered any questions I had throughout the process. This included several different types of work on our chimney, rock veneer, and Front porch/walkway. The job was complete with ample time and everything looked great. Highly recommend!

Beware of Dollman Construction, also known as Essential Improvements in Roanoke, VA. We dealt with design consultant Tracy White, who promised a $65k budget for our project. After providing a $5k deposit, we received poor communication and a final quote of $92k. Tracy claimed the higher cost was due to distance and additional features, but we were never told this upfront. When we asked for a refund per our agreement, he initially resisted but eventually agreed to return $2.5k. After Tracy left the company, we had to follow up again to finally receive the check. Overall, the experience was frustrating, and we advise caution when dealing with this company. Avoid any agreements that lack clear, detailed quotes upfront.

They came out to give me an estimate on a bathroom renovation. Said they would send the quote in a weeks time. After two weeks, i still had not recieved the quote. I called to see where it is and the receptionist said she would get someone to respond....never heard from anyone to this day...months later.

We've had two renovations, kitchen and bathrooms, and a roof done by Dollman. They're professional, have expertise and stand behind their work. We live in an older home and changes to structure can have gradual side effects. They came back to make adjustments over two years later - no charge. Obviously we were pleased, since we kept having them back.

Dollman Construction made a recommendation that we work with Atlantic Design Build. Atlantic Design Build was a terrible choice in the end... Atlantic Design Build was hired to rezone our property, and they didn't follow through on most everything that they said that they were going to do. Sorry for the bad review Dollman, I'm sure you guys probably do good work, but be careful who you refer.
