The best service ever. They put a standing seam roof on our house in 3 days with a dedicated, respectful crew. Other quotes were for 10 to 12 days and did not include a warranty. I have had construction going on on our house for over a year. No one else cleaned up after them selves. I spent hours picking up cigarette butts, water bottles, nails / screws and trash after other workers. This team cleaned each day. They know what they are doing and my spirits are lifted knowing this quality still exists. I wish I could give them 10 stars for an excellent, fairly priced work.

On a Friday evening, a high wind storm took 1/3 of my roof, peeled it off my house and dropped it in the neighbor’s yard two houses down. I was reaching out to several roofing companies to see if at least someone could come tarp it for me, especially since more storms were on the way. I called and left messages but with it being a Friday evening I was concerned I would not get a reply. I saw that Commonwealth Roofing Specialists had a number on their website to text for emergencies so I sent a text out that evening.
Within an hour of the text, Ryan Pacheco texted back and asked if I was going to be home the next day, he could come by and take a look. I explained the situation and sent him a picture or two of the back side of the roof. He came exactly when he said he would, inspected the roof, nailed down roofing felt over the bare space, made sure to check out and mark other damaged not-as-obvious places for the insurance adjuster to inspect and then came down and explained everything to me. We got the ball rolling and Ryan kept me updated throughout every step and answered any questions I had. The day came and one of his teams came out around 6:30am, worked diligently, was respectful to my home and to me, cleaned up superbly and were heading out before 4pm same day. The roof is gorgeous! The insurance worked well with Ryan and with me. Ryan followed up by inspecting the completed work. What impressed me so much about this entire process was learning that Ryan was the president and owner of this company. He walked me through the entire process. He took care of my roof but also took the time to talk with me and listen to my concerns. I knew nothing about roofing prior to this so I had to put my trust in Ryan and I’m glad I did. Now I know SO much more about roofing, have a beautiful new roof and have a company that I will always defer to for my roofing needs here on out.
Ryan and his team made a very frustrating event feel less worrisome than it was initially. I appreciate the quality materials, the excellent work and the time he took making sure I understood and was comfortable at every step of this project. We had the best experience with Commonwealth Roofing!!! Due to a terrible leak in our roof they fit us in immediately and from start to finish were done in one day. They also cleaned up after themselves and took great care to not damage my flowers and vegetable garden. They went the extra mile by replacing our boards underneath the shingles with high quality thick boards that much longer. They also have a workmanship warranty that is unique to them. I wouldhighly recommend!!!

Great experience with Chad and commonwealth roofing! They came in lower than other estimates I was quoted. Had quick turn around from time I got my quote to install date. They were able to complete my roof in one day and installed quality roof that looks great. They did an excellent job cleaning up after as well. Would highly recommend!

My garage was overdue for a roof, so much so as some of the ends of the trusses were showing water damage. Ryan’s team did a phenomenal job with not just replacing the roof but putting in and replacing OSB and fixing the truss ends as well as reinforcing the roofs structure. From the day I contacted Ryan he was fast with getting out to my garage and was the only roofing specialist that followed back up with me. We had a fantastic experience with Commonwealth Roofing! Ryan’s expertise and professionalism saved us thousands of dollars, literally.
We called Commonwealth to get a second opinion on a complete roof replacement after having a big leak after a huge storm. Ryan came out promptly to inspect the roof and give us an estimate and immediately asked if we’d had a hailstorm recently as there was apparently damage to our roof that the other inspection hadn’t noticed. We’d indeed had a huge freak hailstorm a few months back, so thanks to Ryan’s expertise and eagle eyes we were able to get our home insurance to cover the roof replacement due to hail damage, saving us a huge amount of money and stress.
So although the quotes we received from two different roofing companies were very similar in price, we chose to work with Ryan and Commonwealth Roofing because his knowledge, professionalism, and experience in the industry were apparent immediately, particularly because he saw damage the other contractor had not.
Ryan was extremely professional and personable in every interaction we had, and got his crew out to do the work within a few weeks. They replaced the roof on both our 1800 sq. ft house and smaller workshop in one day, with a small 2 person crew coming back the next day to finish the small flat roof on the back of the shop. The crew was very professional, friendly, and efficient, and they cleaned the debris from site up very well, too. The drip edges, and gutters all look fantastic and the shingles are clearly much better quality than the ones on the roof previously.
When it was all done, Ryan came back out to clean up leftover shingles and take photos with his drone, that’s where the photos are from. We couldn’t be happier with how everything went with Ryan and Commonwealth Roofing, I can’t say anything bad about the experience at all. I highly recommend them!

I highly recommend Commonwealth Roofing Specialists. Ryan was great to work with throughout the entire process. He went out of his way to caulk some areas on our aging builder grade roof to hopefully minimize any leaks through hurricane Helene rains before our new roof could be installed. He was here on install day to see if we had any questions and on the day after to make sure we were happy with the work. The crew was also polite and professional, they showed up bright and early and worked efficiently throughout the day to complete our roof. They did an excellent job of cleanup, as well. We had a major leak in our roof. Turned out our "new 2020 roof" (from previous owners) had been installed completely wrong. Flashing wrong or none at all, way too many nails in shingles, etc. Chad was able to come for a quote and a walk through the next day! The crew was able to start and complete the project so quickly, and we were incredibly grateful since weather that could make our situation worse was on the way. The crew was so fast and efficient as well as extremely professional and thorough. Chad checked in with us and the crew regularly ensuring we knew what was happening every step of the way and everyone remained on the same page. Our house has multiple skylights and some odd corners in the roof that the crew was able to tackle flawlessly to ensure no more leaks in the future. This was one of the smoothest fixes we have had done on any of our homes. I HIGHLY recommend using their services!

I used them to install a roof a couple of years ago and I loved the job they did so much that I knew I'd be back for the gutters one day. We'll, that day was yesterday. It's so easy to work with Chad and the others at Commonwealth Roofing Specialists. He came out and measured and showed us our color options as well as what sizes they offer and what the leaf guards they used. After getting that all arranged it was just a matter of installing them. It took the crew about four hours to remove the old gutters and down spouts and install all new 6" gutters, the leaf guard and down spouts. They were extremely professional. Before they started we walked around the house and I went over concerns I had for certain areas and we addressed them. The final result was amazing. They did a great job, we're clean and polite. If i could recommend them more than once I seriously would.

I recently discovered my larger shed in the backyard had wild animals entering through a hole in the roof. I called my insurance company to have a look to help out with the repairs. The adjuster came out and declined everything so I had to pay out of pocket for a full roof replacement. My son invited Chad over from Commonwealth Roofing and he was absolutely perfect! Highly highly recommend! If you need a roof in Roanoke, Commonwealth Roofing is the one. This company was recommended to us by several other locals and I’m so glad we picked them. Team was very efficient, started around 7am and had the entire roof done by the afternoon. Way more reasonably priced than other companies we were quoted by as well! Managers were very responsive and friendly. Scheduling was quick (only a couple weeks from me contacting them to install day). Super easy to work with and the new roof looks amazing! They went above and beyond to install new vents, drip edge, roof ridge vent, and pipe boots along with new plywood where needed and didn’t charge us extra. They even cleaned my worn down skylights covered in old asphalt dust and they look brand new now, which I didn’t think was possible. No damage to our house or landscaping, everything was cleaned up perfectly! So pleased with their hardworking team and quality of work!

The morning after the tornado hit Front Ave in Salem we were in shock. Our roof was completely ripped off and was in the yard across the street. Inside our house everything was wet. Being old and retired we were Devastated. Ryan Pacheco came up to us and said, I'll help you at least get tarps on the roof. I'm just want to help. That night he came back by himself with tarps and put them up . Besides a holiday and dark outside he wanted us to feel safe. People just don't do that anymore but Ryan does. Besides the best price it meant so much that he really cared. Like the old days. They put our roof on in a day and I couldn't ask for a better job. The guys worked hard and cleaned up all around house. If you don't use this company and Ryan you are not getting the best.

Commonwealth Roofing Specialists recently replaced my workshop roof with painted metal panels and new OSB plywood. Chad, my contact, was responsive and answered all my questions. The price was fair and competitive, and their warranty is very good.

The crew were experienced, polite, careful, knew their jobs, worked well as a team and cleaned up completely when they were done. It took about five hours, including a brief delay to remove a nest of black snakes from the rafters. (The snakes were released into the woods.) The workmanship is excellent and the materials are all of high quality.

I bought a house a few months ago and the inspector said the roof was in good shape. A few weeks ago, I got a leak and a hole in my LR ceiling and wall. I called Ryan Pacheco at Commonwealth and he came right over to look at my roof. Friends in WV knew friends who had used Commonwealth and highly recommended Ryan.
Of course, there were 20-30 places on the roof that were in bad shape. The price he quoted was competitive and the warranty he offered was much better than another roofing company who gave me an estimate. The biggest difference I noticed was Ryan’s attention to detail, empathy for me as a homeowner and the personal interest he had in helping me out. As soon as the material was ready, his crew came on time and had the roof done in less than half the time I thought it would take. I have rescued animals who are so afraid of noise, so that was a nice surprise to have it done quickly. Ryan inspected the roof when they were done and was here picking up a very few stray nails. I have had other roofs installed and this was the first time they put tarps all around the house to catch all of the debris. They cleaned up and were gone before I realized they were finished. I thought they were taking a lunch break!

After contacting several roofers in my area and getting outrageous quotes I stumbled upon commonwealth roofing and thought let’s give them a call. I spoke with a gentleman and he came out and gave me an estimate that I questioned because it was so much lower than anyone else, after I was able to, I called and let them know that I was ready to get my roof replaced. I had a squirrel infestation. Every night they were shewing, chewing, and chewing away my home. I contacted Commonwealth Roofing on a recommendation from a friend. It took them a while to get started. However, once they were working they covered all the fascia, soffit, and frieze board on the upper level and all the porches in only two days. The little bit of caulking that needed to be done they did the very next day. It looks beautiful and is well done. Most importantly, the squirrels can't get into the attic now. I would use them again.

Our roof was installed in 2019 and we've experienced leaks coming through to our ceiling. I called and spoke to Mr. Long a few times but he said they couldn't get someone to come out that week. We never received a call back or had someone come out to inspect the roof even though he made the 10 year warranty sound important. I followed up and left voice-mail messages but haven't received a response or service. I dont like leaving negative reviews but am hoping to have someone finally respond.

Had an emergency with home owners insurance trying to cut services due to the quality of my original roof. Not only was the quality excellent, but Chad specifically helped make service happen urgently enough to resolve my home owners insurance issue. I’m extremely thankful and they did an amazing job. The new roof was installed as quoted by Chad in the time frame he said it would be completed. The crew did a great job installing the new roof, metal flashing and cleaning up the debris. Chad was on site at the beginning of the install and for the completion. The product and colors he recommended was the best choice for this project.

I had my roof done a year ago. At that time of service I gave the company a bad review and three stars. Some things happen that I wasn’t too pleased with, but today, Ryan, the new president of the company came out. He was very professional, very courteous and down to earth and took care of some issues I had with the service. Overall, the price of my roof was an excellent price and I would recommend this company.

Commonwealth Roofing Specialists did a great job replacing our roof and were very competitive in price! They arrived early (as they said they would!) and completed the job by 2:30-3:00 pm the same day. They did a good job cleaning up the debris on our property. I highly recommend Commonwealth Roofing.

Commonwealth roofing was the first professional we worked with upon starting our home remodel in 2022. They were responsive and quick to get our roof installed. Over the last year, we had multiple contractors comment on parts of our roof that looked odd or poorly constructed, but as a layperson, I wrote it off because I had been told it was done correctly by commonwealth. In January of this year we called commonwealth for a gutter quote. Because we’d had so many people working on our home, I’d genuinely forgotten Commonwealth had completed our roof. While Commonwealth was here, the salesman pointed out a myriad of things that were wrong with the roof and strongly encouraged me to outreach the company immediately. Upon realizing they had installed the roof, the employee said he would facilitate all of the repairs as soon as possible, but he instead chose to misrepresent our conversation by calling my integrity into question and the owner of the company, Bob Long, responded with avoidance and equal disrespect, never outreaching to request my side of the story. It has now been 8 months since our initial request for repair and they continue to avoid communication or push back our timeline. Parts of the roof are coming apart and it generally looks poorly constructed. Get multiple quotes when you’re looking for a roof.

The price was phenomenal! The worksmanship was awesome. I am very happy with the way it turned out. They took off my metal roof and replaced it with a shingle one in two days and man does it look so much better. Chad was communicative throughout and very professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Commonwealth Roofing did a great job putting a new roof on our restaurant building. They worked quickly to do the job while the restaurant was closed on Monday. they were great to work with. I would recommend them for any roofing job.

We have not had the pleasure of actually working with this company. YET!!! But from the estimate they gave me, the communication, how they seem to look out for you, how friendly they are. And seen some of the work they have done, I don't know why anyone would use anyone else. And I'm being so serious on this. On top of being veteran owned. It's a win, win here

Honest, competitive & reliable. My insurance company requested a roof inspection. I didn't think I needed a new roof, but 3 contractors said I did, and sooner rather than later. That week, a shingle blew off!
All of the quotes were in the same ballpark, but I chose Commonwealth because Chad assured me he would be the only point of contact for the entire job, even if there was a problem. He was true to his word. He kept me informed all along the way and delivered on every promise.
I even authorized some additional fascia work, but after finishing the roof, he said I didn't really need it and recommended I save myself some money!
The roof looks great. Commonwealth definitely has my business for any type of work that they do.

Called for a free quote on Gutter replacement. A well informed, professional gentleman came out the next day & gave me the estimate. I was impressed with his knowledge and went with Commonwealth. Three weeks late, I have new gutters & downspout. Highly recommended.

Commonwealth installed a new roof for our house and garage. They did an excellent job and did on time as promised.

They came out the same day (Friday)to set a tarp to prevent further damage to my ceiling. They were out the next Monday to repair the damage. I am very pleased with their customer service.

Now we have problems 2 years later and they respond but do nothing to correct whar they didnt do the first time. Not sure I would recommend them again.
