Our project manager, Matt Darst, did an exceptional job keeping everything on time and on budget—even with our unique and specific requirements. We had some non-negotiables about where the panels would go (on an already rocky terrain), which didn’t make their job easy. But the team got creative, developed a great layout (even though I’m sure it didn’t make their job easy), and Matt and the team made it happen!

Important to also note, their team demonstrated a deep subject matter expertise when it came to sizing and scoping the footprint of the system, making sure it was perfectly tailored to our needs. I had the pleasure of working with Brandon Horton who was their sales person. In fact I highly recommend Brandon predicated on his knowledge and expertise, punctuality, patience and professionalism as he made an otherwise stressful project so easy and comfortable!
(If I called Brandon with a question before or after the job started he was responsive immediately)! Eduardo was the foreman that oversaw the job from delivery of materials to completion of roof Him and his crew were so incredibly meticulous and precise (they were also just nice respectful folks). They actually left the job site cleaner than when they started!!! It is also important to note that Brandon visited the site regularly to oversee the total job; literally every phase of the job.

I found Divided Sky by doing rigorous research and due-diligence which included going to Malarkey's website for preferred contractors and they outshined all the other competitor bidders as evidenced by wonderful reviews but most of all by being flexible in negotiation as well as being down-right down to earth folks to deal with!

Had a great experience with Divided Sky. We added solar panels a while back from a different vendor I won't mention. When we needed repairs, I gave Divided Sky a call. I spoke with Brandon on the phone, who was very knowledgeable and transparent.

Matt helped me work with my insurance to get the extra funds that were needed to get the job done correctly. They were done in one day and very polite. They also were very accommodating by working around my schedule. I highly recommend them.

Disappointed in the lack of communication and the failure to meet terms of contract so far.

Salesperson Matthew Vise takes days to respond to questions, and no showed to his own final walkthrough. I get better customer service at the dollar store.

The roofers were rescheduled 4 times after multiple no shows. On the day they did show up, the roof was only barely started when it started to rain, resulting in some minor water intrusion in the attic. They said they would be done by 3pm and at 6pm it began to rain.

The roof did not meet the expectation set by the contract for high profile ridge caps, they used low cost cut up 3 tab shingles, their own contract specifically stated they would not do that. They also failed to put all the vents back on the roof so now there is not venting on 60% of the roof where there was before.

The office people have been kind.

I’m still waiting for divided sky to make this right. Hopefully they will, and if so, I will consider updating my review.

We recently hired Divided Sky to replace our hail-damaged roof. We requested that they use an impact resistant roof, since our area (hill country) has frequent hail storms and we didn't want to replace roofs annually. They suggested the Vista Malarkey Class 4 impact resistant roof, which would be allowed under our HOA but is much sturdier than regular architectural shingles. It also will lower our homeowner insurance costs.
They were very efficient in installing our roof and were careful to protect our property and plants. We are very happy with their company and recommend them.

They had the best rates in town. But most importantly for me, is the level of care they showed for their customers. I had my roof fixed by them a Few months ago. And when it was time for my aunt to have her roof replaced because of the most recent storm, they worked tirelessly all day on tarping other customers roofs. And still came to my aunts house at 9pm to get hers done so it wouldn't leak the next day when we expected more storms! Their customer service is the best in town!!

Called on an absolutely crazy morning after a storm and was greeted by kindness. What a wonderful experience to have a professional show up on the same day, knowing they probably had 200 other calls, take time to explain what he saw and show pictures. He explained the process and after he left there was a follow up call from the office. Wow is all I can say and THANK YOU!!

After a severe hailstorm last night, with baseball sized hail, I contacted Divided Sky.
They looked at our roof within 24 hours and photographed extensive roof damage. They will get back to us within 1 business day with estimates for replacement options.
We are happy with their prompt service when called and their history of good roofing work.

I own a business in San Marcos so I know how important customers impressions are. Divided Sky came to fix my problem and returned again to insure I was satisfied. I am IMPRESSED. I don’t usually recommend service but try Divided Sky and I feel you will be SECURE in your decision.

Divided Sky replaced my roof and added solar panels after a hail storm damaged the roof. Will Bowers, roofing, and Matt Darst, solar, were both a pleasure to work with and friendly, honest, and professional. They did high quality work on schedule and were always available to answer any questions I had. The roof and solar panels look great and it's exciting to have the solar addition. My shingles were upgraded to Class IV shingles with only a small price difference. The panels they install are made in the US, an added incentive. Matt helped me with the app that has lots of great information about the system, like solar usage and panel condition. They make sure to let you know that they are available for any support needed after installation, too. Right after the roof was installed, there was golf-ball sized hail. Will inspected the roof shortly after that and said there wasn't a scratch on it--impressive! I highly recommend Divided Sky for both roofing and solar.

The guys at Divided Sky did a fabulous job re-roofing our entire home, including metal and shingle/solar portions. Divided Sky Roofing and Solar replaced my hail-damaged roof in 2023 and did an outstanding job! I met the owner by chance at a Heritage Association activity and the company later was recommended to me by a neighbor who just had his roof replaced due to hail damage. There were also some issues with my rooftop solar panel system that had to be addressed during the roofing project. Matt Darst was my primary point of contact with Divided Sky and he did a superb job of providing estimates, facilitating the job and taking care of my solar issues. The company was also very patient in the process of working with my somewhat dysfunctional insurance/mortgage companies.. I’d highly recommend them for any roofing and solar work!

Matt helped and oversaw the rebuild of my roof with minimal problems and a quick turnaround. I absolutely love my new roof and he took the time to make sure I knew everything going into the process.

John still hasnt replied to my previous review. Never got a reply or response from anyone with Divided Sky. They never finished the job as agreed on. Not to mention they owe me money from insurance claim because they took payment on hail damaged items they did not repair or replace, such as: fence repair, garage damage, and personal property items. Insurance company has been notified and complaints have been filed.

Divided Sky installed our new roof almost two years ago. We remain so very pleased with their work and the quality of the roofing. Best of all, I have never found any stray nails or hardware in the yard. Thank you!!! In the same way that we hired Divided Sky on the recommendation of multiple friends, we have referred Divided Sky to our best friends, who are also now satisfied Divided Sky customers.

I recently brought Divided Sky out to North Austin to replace my house's roof after discovering it had hail damage. This was my first home insurance claim and first time needing such work as a homeowner, and I couldn't be more grateful that I chose Divided Sky to do the job. They made it as quick and painless as could be, and they even touched up and repaired some rot/mold that they found on my covered patio! The entire roof replacement job was done in about a day and a half, which is incredible. There was a big enough crew to get it all done even in the Texas summer heat!

After the work was done, the crew came back a couple times to thoroughly clean up any debris and walk through with me to inspect the work all around the house. They were thorough and professional throughout the process.

My experience with Divided Sky has been stellar, and I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them again for any kind of roof work!

Cannot get a response from the owner John. Still waiting for them to finish installing the windows we ordered with them over a year ago. Order was wrong twice now, and still cant get a response on when this job will be finished. Still waiting on them to finish sealing the windows that have been installed. Still missing all the screens they removed from original windows.
After the first batch was wrong, took them 2 months to reorder the correct ones. The lack of urgency to finish this job is beyond words. Been waiting for a reply from John for two months now. So here I am having to give this review on the current situation. Maybe someone will read this and get back to me. I would not recommend this company based on this experience. Even apologies at this point don't do anything.

John's crew did a great job on my house in 2020. Three years since and I'm still dry! Look at all those straight green lines.

Divided Sky provided excellent service, installing our solar panels and batteries. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up after working each day. They finished the job in the amount of time they told us they would. Matt Darst was responsive to each one of our questions and continues to monitor our account faithfully. We highly recommend their services for solar panel installation.

I got an email about this local solar company. I always want to support my local businesses. I decide to give them a call. Their solar guy was out doing warranty work, so "Zoey" took my information down and said they would give me a call back. Great! I waited a few days and got zero communication. I call back to see if maybe I got the information wrong or maybe had the wrong date. Zoey tells me they have zero record of any communication or appointment to talk to their solar guy. I get it things get lost in the shuffle. I give them my information again. I get a "canned" email from the owner confirming my appointment on 03/03. I go on about my day. It is 4 days later and no call, no message, no email. I immediately call in again to see if maybe I had the dates wrong, Zoey tells me "Um, we do not have anything in our system." Really? De Ja Vu. She tells me she can take my information down again and have someone call me. Zoey, you have done that already, not just once, but twice. I get your Solar guy might be busy. A simple, "hey, got your request. I will respond as soon as can." There is zero communication, zero follow through and whatever systems they are using to take potential customers information down is not working because they have lost it more than once.

John I get it, you have a small business. Whatever Customer "lead" system you are using is broke. I have gotten "canned" responses from you and Berenice. The first email I received from her was 02/17. Here is it almost 3 weeks later. There is another company that does leads for one of the solar websites. Another local company was at my door step the following day. Ironically, I had told them I would have rather had a conversation than having them randomly showing up. The point I am trying to make is if one company can return a call in less than 24 hours, not sure what break down in communication is. I give you an A for effort for getting the ball rolling, the follow through is not there.

Matt and his team installed a ground mount solar system for our home. Great process from start to finish. Always kept us updated and outstanding communication and customer service.

Matt did a great job on two of my house easy to deal with and coordinate with. Workers showed up on day there were supposed to and even cleaned upped there mess. Thank you for the great work

After a recent wind storm we noticed a few missing roof shingles. We were at a loss of who to call to address this issue. We were given a referral from an acquaintance to Divided Sky Roofing and Solar. What a blessing this referral turned out to be. From our initial call to schedule an inspection we were treated with exceptional customer service and an appointment was scheduled for an inspection of our roof for any further damage. Mark Vise arrived as scheduled and thankfully the only real damage to our roof were two missing shingles. Mark had some matching shingles on hand and did the repair immediately! We absolutely will choose Divided Sky Roofing for any future roofing needs and will enthusiastically refer our friends. Such a GREAT company‼️ The roofing crew start on the 13th and finished up on the 14th. They came back this morning and cleaned up the yard completely.

I'm not impressed. I had gutters installed October of '20. Early June this year we got about 5 inches of rain in a week. Water was flowing(pouring) over the side of the gutter for hours. I called DS after the rain stopped, got an answering machine, left a message stating the problem, and never got a call back. I climbed a ladder to the gutter to find a bunch of leaves blocking the downspout. I cleaned them out to find that the hole in the gutter at the top of the downspout was only about 2" square. The downspouts are 3" X 4". A handful of wet leaves will obstruct a small hole like that. So I climbed the ladder again with a sawzall and enlarged the hole. I thought it was remedied until July 5 2021 when we got 2" rain in 3 hours. It's spilling over again. I'll have to climb the ladder again and check out the hole for the other downspout and probably have to enlarge it myself.

This company doesn't do the work themselves. They hire a private company to install. That company rushes through the job as fast as possible to finish and get paid.

Now that I've paid for the job, the private company got paid, no one is interested in correcting the job. There's no more money in it for either DS or the private gutter company.

Find a specialist to do your job, not a business broker.

I found Divided Sky Roofers on the GAF website. They list Master Elite Roofers that they work with - GAF Factory-Certified Roofing Contractors. This is the second GAF roofing contractor that I have used in the past 1 10 years (Craddock Roofing in Katy, TX and Divided Sky in San Antonio, TX).

Thanks to the GAF website, I feel that I had found the best roofing contractors out there - twice. John, the owner of Divided Sky and his team were very courteous and professional. They were all very easy to work with. The work was done on time and extremely fast (which is very important with roof replacements).
