Discount Gutters replaced my old gutters in May 2024. They were highly responsive, competitively priced, and did excellent work. Highly recommended.

Seems like a nice small company. They were unable to help me on my project (commercial), but they let me know why and offered me referrals to other companies that would be able to help.

I appreciate the follow up call with the explanation.

My roofing company recommended this company to us because they have always had great experiences with them. I unfortunately did not have the same experience. I called them and the office said they would be out the following Wednesday. On that Wednesday I did have someone pull out of our fairly long driveway and thought we may have missed them. I called the company to see if it was one of their people and no one called me back. I called multiple times and no one calls back. We then went out of town for a couple weeks and came back to play the same game. Was actual able to get ahold of the office to be told again probably Wednesday, but they'd call me monday to verify. No call so I call them to find out they are not doing that Wednesday so it might be a different day or Saturday. I AGAIN had to call back and be told maybe Saturday. Months after the process started they finally came by. I called the office the next afternoon to see how it went. They let me know they wont be taking our job. I with a tone asked her to explain why they wont. She told me with the crew they have they are simply not interested in my house. I was so upset i called our roofing company and they referred All American Gutters and Whatcom Gutters. I left a message at both places. They returned messages that day and said they'd be out to measure the following week. Both companies came out when they said they would and we got our estimates that day. I hope it was just us, but other reviews show it is not.

They did a great job putting gutters on my patio and wood shed. The installers were very attentive to detail and had the job completed professionally and quickly. I would definitely use Discount Gutters again.

I just had my gutters installed by Discount Gutters. The experience was excellent in quality, price, professionalism and response. The other companies I contacted were not responsive or got back to me a week later. Discount Gutters removed my old gutters without mess, repaired my rotted corner facia boards, and installed new gutters with gutter guards. The work is solid and looks great and they got the install done in less than a day. I have to question the negative reviews some people have left after my experience. Would definitely use again and highly recommend!

Customer service review... Woman says "we are only doing full houses guttering right now." This company won't come out and estimate because I guess they don't understand that concealed gutters are a roofing job, and that all we need are downspouts for our whole house. It's probably a $1,800-2000 job. So, I am not sure why you wouldn't want that business. Her excuse is the pandemic, but that doesn't make sense. Quote it, put the business on the schedule for when you can do it. This is not a review about actual work completed, but rather the inability to even have a conversation.

Terry arrived for the estimate a few minutes early. He provided a very detailed estimate and showed us where he would recommend changes different than the gutters and downspouts we had at the time. He gave us 2 estimates:one with them removing old gutters and downspouts and one with us removing the old gutters and downspouts. We hired him and his crew. They arrived on time, completed the job as scheduled. There were two small issues which were noticed after they left. They fixed both the next day. They were professional, courteous and a pleasant to communicate and work with. Will call on them again.

Very professional. The estimator arrived on time. Answered all my questions. Provided color samples. The removal and installation was all on schedule. I was concerned with rain water not flowing into the gutters on a couple valleys. They installed some flashing to prevent this. Would recommend.

I originally scheduled Discount Gutters to do a gutter install on a 12 foot long shed and 18 foot long adjacent carport two months ago. I took a day off work to meet these guys at my house. They cancelled the morning of and told me they would get back to me. Things happen, I understand and can be flexible. I never heard a thing for two months. I finally called back and scheduled again for the following week. They show up this morning (another day I planned to be at home away from work so I could meet them) and the installers tell me they can do the shed with hangers or something similar but the owner told them no. My shed is a 12 foot long barn style roof. They tell me they will still do the carport but they will charge me the full amount I was originally quoted for the shed and carport. I told them at this point I would go with another company. The installers were nice and understanding.

I wanted gutters on my two new structures before winter which is why I scheduled it when I did. After two and half months and two days planned to be at home I am still without gutters.

The owner is active on these google reviews and I have contacted the company and asked him to give me a phone call. The installers were nice as was the secretary and I hold nothing against them. If they want to come back and make this right I will give them the opportunity. I am awaiting the owners phone call and will edit this review accordingly.

He didn't do my job. He barely spoke to me 60 seconds. Maybe less. But I'm glad the gate didn't hit him in the butt on the way out. It went something like this: I met him in the yard after he measured and looked at the house, he handed me a piece of scratch paper and says "That's the price." I then look at it and reply: "Well there's a couple of things not right, I don't need that done because were are tearing off that portion, and.... -He interrupts and snatches the paper out of my hands and scratches a correction and says "There I fixed it", and hands the paper back to me. "Well," I continue, "there's just a few things ,you don't show any gutter on the garage here, I want that, and... " He grabs the paper again: "WERE DONE! YOU"RE A WASTE OF MY TIME!" Then stomps out of my yard. I had in mind to communicate that I wanted two downspouts on the North and one on the South. Gutter on the garage, yes, but only on the West side with the downspout on the North corner, and which side of the dormer to locate the downspout etc. Oh well, Mr. Pouty saved me a lot of trouble by revealing his character early.

I called a couple times/left messages before finally getting someone to answer the phone at which point we set an appointment. No one showed during the set time or that day. I called the office on Monday to see if they were interested in my business and was promised a call back shortly. They never called back. It baffles me how companies can run with such poor service. Good luck but wouldn't waste your time tracking them down.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to mentions what great service Discount Gutters of Bellingham provided. I shopped around for the best deal and these guys beat out everyone else. They removed my old gutters and came back a couple of weeks later after I painted my trim and house. They installed everything in just less then half a day.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
