Customer feedback for Discount Gutters is mixed, with a notable divide between positive and negative experiences. Many customers praised the company's responsiveness, professionalism, and quality of work, particularly highlighting the efficient installation process and thorough communication during estimates. However, several reviews reported significant issues with customer service, including missed appointments and poor follow-up, leading to frustration for some customers. While a number of clients would recommend the service based on their positive encounters, the recurring complaints about communication and reliability raise concerns about consistency in service delivery.
- They were highly responsive, competitively priced, and did excellent work.
- The installers were very attentive to detail and had the job completed professionally and quickly.
- Came out for an estimate, gave me 5 things I could do myself, spent a really good amount of time with me on my house.
- The estimator arrived on time, answered all my questions, and provided color samples.
- I called multiple times and no one calls back.
- They canceled the morning of and told me they would get back to me. I never heard a thing for two months.
- No one showed during the set time or that day.
- It baffles me how companies can run with such poor service.

Discount Gutters replaced my old gutters in May 2024. They were highly responsive, competitively priced, and did excellent work. Highly recommended.

Seems like a nice small company. They were unable to help me on my project (commercial), but they let me know why and offered me referrals to other companies that would be able to help.
I appreciate the follow up call with the explanation.

My roofing company recommended this company to us because they have always had great experiences with them. I unfortunately did not have the same experience. I called them and the office said they would be out the following Wednesday. On that Wednesday I did have someone pull out of our fairly long driveway and thought we may have missed them. I called the company to see if it was one of their people and no one called me back. I called multiple times and no one calls back. We then went out of town for a couple weeks and came back to play the same game. Was actual able to get ahold of the office to be told again probably Wednesday, but they'd call me monday to verify. No call so I call them to find out they are not doing that Wednesday so it might be a different day or Saturday. I AGAIN had to call back and be told maybe Saturday. Months after the process started they finally came by. I called the office the next afternoon to see how it went. They let me know they wont be taking our job. I with a tone asked her to explain why they wont. She told me with the crew they have they are simply not interested in my house. I was so upset i called our roofing company and they referred All American Gutters and Whatcom Gutters. I left a message at both places. They returned messages that day and said they'd be out to measure the following week. Both companies came out when they said they would and we got our estimates that day. I hope it was just us, but other reviews show it is not.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
