Disaster Kleenup has been wonderful to work with. They were excellent communicators throughout the entire cleanup project. I always knew what to expect and when. They completed everything in as timely a manner as possible, and I highly recommend them for anyone who needs this service.

I found some mold on Sunday, and Tyler came out on Monday to assess what needed to be done and got me a estimate. (Yes, I know this was just a small amount of mold, but I have too much respect for it, and I chose to leave it to the professionals) I figured it would take a week to a week and a half to get on the schedule. However, they where here Tuesday Morning (with a call before arrival) and were done before noon. Very professional, friendly, and efficient. If the need arises the will be the first people I call.

Disaster Cleanup did a Great job with my water leak issue. They replaced my flooring that was water damaged, and dryed out the rest of the area, including
underneath the floor. People were hard working, and friendly. They keep you informed throughout the process. I would use them again...

I would like to share a comparison of disaster companies, which should help anyone decide to choose Disaster Kleenup as opposed to their copycat competitor Disaster Cleanup. My water heater burst and flooded part of the upstairs and into the garage ceiling. I called my insurance and opened a claim, then told my phone to call Disaster Kleenup, not realizing there is now a Disaster Cleanup as well. My phone dialed the Disaster Cleanup, and they came over. I didn't even realize it was the wrong company until they had started their work. The company did everything they could to create man hours (i.e. more than was needed) and mileage in order to bill my insurance company. What should have been a 2-week job was drug out for 6 weeks. They didn't want to move things back that they had moved into a pod (which wasn't even necessary), their painter splattered paint on a newly painted interior wall and wiped across it creating large smears, the painter also got paint on a new rug, and the invoice came in at 3 times what the insurance adjuster said it should have been. When I complained to the company, they argued and were very narcissistic about justifying what they did and why, telling me how they know their business and what they're doing and the software program they use that prices everything out, etc. For comparison, I had an incident about 4 years ago where I used Disaster Kleenup, and they were in and out and done within about two weeks, did a fantastic job, and lived up to their promises. Disaster Cleanup came nowhere close to that level of performance and billed three times as much. Don't do what I did and call the wrong one! In my opinion, Disaster Cleanup is in it for the insurance fraud.

In an industry with shady players, I greatly appreciate the thoughtful approach and honesty that I experienced with Disaster Kleenup in investigating a potential leak. Paul McLaughlin is on my speed dial if I ever need his help again. I recommend him and DK without reservation.

They were great to work with to help fix up water damage from the big snowstorm we had this year. Very helpful and timely in getting this evaluated and dried out, and eventually repaired. We worked with Paul who was very helpful and communicated well to keep us updated with where we were in the process of getting our home repaired. I would definitely use them again if we ever needed it!

We found flooding in our basement storage room, bathroom, and hallway from septic drainage field failure on December 23, 2023. With the help of our Farm Bureau Insurance agent, he helped provide a contact number for Disaster Services which I called the afternoon on December 24, 2023. Once called, Disaster Services asked if they could still come out to start cleaning & drying out the damaged areas. The technicians came, removed, cleaned, & started drying the damaged areas working until 8:00PM.

Disaster Kleenup was referred to me through my insurance company. I really had no experience with any of those companies. They were amazing! They were so thorough, respectful, and fast. We had a shed fire due to Fourth of July fireworks, which destroyed the entire shed, and the majority of the contents. Their accuracy in determining what had been burned, and the cause was beyond impressive. I would refer them to friends, family, and loved ones, no doubt.

They stored things well but never informed us of when they moved things back in the house. We asked to be informed and no one called we found things back in the house but wanted to tell crew where to place things which was a difficulty for us as we are all elderly and retired and had recent back surgery’s, it made it difficult to get furniture into correct places. And many things were left in garage storage and not put back into the house, someone one will come Thursday to help get those boxes back in the house

I have really enjoyed working with Disaster Kleenup. We have use their services in several commercial buildings when those unexpected accidents arise. DK is quick to respond to our calls, the crew shows up with all the tools necessary to handle any situation, and they work with a level of professionalism that we expect so I know I have nother to worry about when they visit our tenants.

Had a toilet on 2nd floor overflow flooded upstairs and leaked into ceiling of main floor. Called Disaster Kleanup at 5 a.m they were at our house in less than an hour they were done with removing the damaged sheet rock carpet and everything out of the bathroom by noon. I am writing this under my granddaughters name. on Memorial day weekend, my basement ended up with about 2 inches of water in it. I called DK and they were here within 2 hours. The techs were amassing, respectful and considerate. The gentleman, Rusty, came out Tuesday to follow up and again very considerate. The estimator came and again very considerate. Beware! Not sure where to begin but whatever you do, knowing you are in a bad situation and need help cleaning up etc. encourage you to NOT call this company. Communication and follow through is not their strong suit....over billing and wanting control of all your insurance money is... just a heads up.

Absolutely great company! We had a garage fire, they were quick to come out, board up our garage and help us through the steps of getting everything cleaned, repaired and the taken care of. Their customer service was AMAZING! Harry is a blessing to work with, any and all questions we had he was quick to respond and reassure us. His team was great, if we needed anything they got it done for us, everyone was polite and they were quick. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is in need of their services and if we ever needed them again they’d be the first company I’d call.

Update: I got a call from management regarding this review and they apologized for the situation. He offered to bring over the backsplash that they had taken as a sample. I recognize that mistakes happen. It is very encouraging to see management taking steps to address mistakes and put policies in place to prevent future mistakes.

I contacted DK for an estimate on fixing a water leak in our kitchen. They came over and measured the area. The estimator even took a sample from our backsplash. Seemed like everything was going well. But weeks went by and they never called me back. So I went with another company. I called DK to get my backsplash back, there times! But they never returned it to me. It was always another excuse for why they couldn't get it backtback me. Hopefully others have better service.

Ethan responded to our call, and was on sight with my distraught client wishing 20 minutes!

A service and repair plan was immediately developed and the work was completed in record time. DK and Ethan, their superstar project manager can be trusted to do great work, while keeping their clients confident.

We have had Genia Laws in doing disaster cleanup in our master bathroom. She is a dedicated worker, she works hard, she has done a great job, she is concerned about doing the job that makes me happy and is very personable. She goes over and above what is expected of her. We really enjoyed having her do the work here at our home. Thank you for helping us with this disaster.

Upstairs flooded and within an hour Disaster Clean-up was there. We sure appreciate ALL the staff that have come to work on putting our house together. They were professional and got right to work! Gina was very much appreciated. She was here doing a great job with painting. My husband found a leak coming in from a bedroom window while it was raining outside. She jumped into action and got a tarp up on the roof and was in the attic. She had already put in a long day here and saved our house from greater damage! Hope we never need them again; but if we do, they will be our first call!

We discovered an irrigation problem on a Saturday that left our crawl space flooded. Harry sent a crew over in about 45 minutes and explained how they could correct the problem. They did what they said they would do. The invoice came in at the same price they quoted over the phone. And they finished the job when they said they would. I could not ask for any more. I would recommend to anyone who has the misfortune of needing them.

I had a slow refrigerator ice maker leak back in May. I hired DK to take care of the issue on May 7th... They did a great job of tearing the house apart and getting things dried out. And a wonderful job working with my insurance. However getting stuff put back together has been another story... When the hard wood was put back in, they left a 1/2 inch gap between the hardwood and other flooring. They also threw away some of my cabinet trim. It's been over 4 months and i'm still waiting for the last items to be finished. Every couple weeks i get a promise that the remaining items will be taken care of asap... I'm still holding payment for the project to be completed...

I've had experience with other companies in this industry but no where near the level of professional, prompt, courteous service I received from Disaster Kleenup. Disaster Kleenup showed up to my house after a fire on December 31st. They claim the fire department called them. They sent me a bill last week indicating I owe them 700 dollars for mediation services. I emailed back as the bill was made out to a different name and an insurance company that was not mine. I received a call today and when I asked what the bill was for they indicated it was for boarding up my property. I indicated that my property was not boarded up and Rachel, the admim person continued to argue with me about how it was. I told her to go look at that property herself. At that time she indicated she would have the project manager call me and hung up. I spoke to Sergio(the project manager) and he indicates that they are charging for being called out. I said I never called and he said that did not matter they went out and I have to pay. He also indicated that because of how long it has been if I don't pay immediately they will be putting a lien on my house. This is just ridiculous! Definitely a bunch of disaster chasers who prey on people's misfortunes and kick them down when they are already on the ground. I would definitely think twice before considering their services!

On 10-18-16 we had a water softer blowout and flooded a good portion of our house. We had left at 8:30 Am for appointments, and upon returning at 11:30AM discovered the disaster. We immediately called our homeowner insurance agent, who notified our insurance company, and their claims adjuster called us about 1:30PM. He was very helpful to explain the claims process, asked for details of disaster, and told us their list of approved disaster cleanup/reconstruction companies. We chose DK (Disaster Kleenup), Nampa, ID who were at the top of the approved list. DK responded promptly at 2 PM, their cleanup crew arrived at 3PM to start the process, and by 11PM had completed initial processes, including vacuum water up, move furniture, pull baseboards, pull up dining room hardwood floor, pull carpet pads, and set commercial fans for dry out. We stayed with our son/family for 4 days and on 5th day were able to move back in on dry floors. Two/three weeks later our hardwood floor was replaced, carpet pads were replaced, carpets cleaned, appliances moved back, baseboards replaced, minor repairs completed, and insurance proceeds received covered all but my deductible less some adjustments.
Overall, Dk's entire staff & team headed up by Del Klein were just outstanding! We appreciated their friendly attitudes, expertise, good quality work, and how they all went out of their way to take such good care of us. We are so pleased we chose DK and will gladly recommend them to any others.

I recently had significant water damage at a rental of mine and major restoration needed to be done. I hired a different restoration company that was referred by my insurance company and they were horrible to work with and they weren't even willing to finish the project. So halfway through the project I hired Disaster Kleenup and they have been a pleasure to work with. They communicate well and do what they say they will do, and get it done on time. I would recommend them above any other restoration company in the treasure valley.

Since we had luckily never had to deal with this type of disaster previously, we had lots of questions about the process and about insurance coverage and terms. All of our concerns were addressed. Disaster Kleenup provided an extremely prompt clean-up and restoration when the main water-line in our commercial building began to leak. Seth Perry was on site immediately to inspect the affected areas, identified the problem and had equipment and a crew in place within hours.
Despite carpet, baseboards, drywall, paint and plumbing needing fixed/replaced, the quality of work upon completion left us feeling as if no damage ever occurred.
Many options exist when it comes to damage restoration companies in the Treasure Valley but we would highly recommended Disaster Kleenup and will use hem again should the need arise in the future.

Disaster Kleenup did a GREAT job restoring my place after a flood. They were extremely courteous, professional , prompt and easy to communicate needs with. Having been through this experience once before with another clean up business absolutely NO comparison. I would and have highly recommended Disaster Kleenup!

Where do I start? I guess the beginning. Well, after a major water leak (flood) that originated from underneath the kitchen sink, our one story house was exposed to several inches of water. Luckily, our next door neighbor was home and knew who to call on our behalf. Literally, within an hour of the flood Disaster Kleenup arrived and began extracting the water, mitigating the problem by moving out appliances, removing soaked carpet pads as well as wet insulation in the crawl space underneath our house, and spraying anti-microbial agents to prevent bacteria or mold. When the moisture was extracted out of the remaining carpet and the laminate was removed from the walls, DK employees set up 13 large industrial fans and a dehumidifier to siphon water. The next week was admittedly a blur, buzzing and humming fans, exposed carpet tacks, the look and feel of a partially constructed dwelling, meetings with DK (Sergio the DK contact/foreman as our general contractor), the insurance adjuster, Mike's Flooring, two amazing installers (Jessie and Paul), DK's crews from their hazmat team who crawled through our crawlspace to repair and replace duct work and insulation, to their construction clean-up crew etc. What I can say is this: Sergio represented DK as if it was his own personal company and treated us with the utmost respect. He was the calm during the storm and guided us safely through the entire hectic event. Every person who entered our house was professional, polite, respectful, and thorough. I was so impressed with Mike's Flooring who came out to our house with a multitude of carpet and vinyl samples and let us compare colors, patterns, and quality within our own house. Ultimately Mike helped us pick flooring that not only replaced what we had but surpassed our highest expectations. A final shout out to Jessie and Paul who I practically consider friends at this point. I have purchased eight homes over my life span and had my fair share of remodeling done and even fired a crew before, but I have never seen two men work so hard and do such a great job as Jessie and Paul. What I'm trying to say is that DK employs and uses sub contractors that absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Long story short, two weeks to the day, with over 10K in damages repaired and restored, I can say with all honesty that our house looks better now than it did the day we bought it brand new eleven years ago. Thanks to Disaster Kleenup (Sergio) and the sub contractors that they employ our ordeal is over and our house is better than ever before. I'm so confident in their services that I'll even offer my personal phone number as a reference if any future homeowners are trying to decide who to trust their disaster to: Lessil at 288-2813.
