The workers were diligent, polite, punctual, very patient answering all my questions, cleaned everything after job was done, professional, respectful and communicative. Not five stars because job was not quite completed where a tarp had to be placed for a few days. Afterwards all was done great. It deed indeed rained on the day of the job, but I was expecting to have crew come back the next day, this was a bit confusing to me. May not want to call your company one day roofing, kind of misleading. Otherwise all was good. ,

The salesman and the roofing crew were top notch! They went way beyond my expectations in quality of the work, professionalism, and even pricing. I will recommend them to anyone.

Everyone I worked with at DeWitt was knowledgeable, professional, & made me feel like they cared about my concerns. The crews they sent to install a new roof & later new windows were fantastic. In both cases, the workers kept me informed, were super friendly, and helpful.

The person who answered the phone was very rude and interrupted me in the middle of trying to explain my situation, and also swore on the phone about how the situation at hand was not their issue to deal with, and we needed to figure it out ourselves. This could have been explained in a much nicer and more professional manner, especially when dealing with an outside client who has had no business with you to begin with, and has no idea about your business or it’s past affiliations. If this is how they treat their everyday customers, I would not utilize this company.

Contractors were pleasant and consistent in communicating when job would be complete. The outcome is Beautiful. Shower and flooring was installed. Thank you DeWitt!

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I scheduled an estimate for noon on May 24. I waited until 1:30, no call, no show. I finally got a call at 3:30 saying that he had car trouble and wanted to reschedule. I declined several times. I finally decided to give them another chance after they called me again. I told the lady what had happened previously and she immediately said they'd take $300 off. I scheduled the appt for June 17. Before that date, I went with another company and called to cancel my appt. No problem. Today, June 24, a guy showed up at my house saying someone spoke with me yesterday and that I had an appt. I said, no, that was for last Tuesday and I cancelled it. I just went outside and before he left, he decided to empty his trash in my driveway. Water bottle, tissues, cigarette butts and a ton of ashes. Unbelievable.

Had an insight estimate. Employee came totally unprepared. He didn't have a business card, not did he leave me a written proposal. I gave him my email address when he told me he would send it within a few days. Three weeks later, still no written proposal. I'm definitely not going to have DeWitt do any work for me.

My roof was done in a timely manner and it looks great. I will refer this company to family and friends.

Dewitt Building and Construction did an excellent roof replacement, they took pictures of the progression we understood the condition of the decking and fascia and followed through to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Alex even sent his crew out to address a soffit area under by the back door that wasn’t part of the job to secure the work. We highly recommend this company.

This company has totally unprofessional staff. I was to receive an estimate after the windows were measured. They were either confused or trying to force me to purchase windows I didn't order. I never saw what they offered, never requested financing all I wanted wassn estimate. They continually called me trying to schedule an installation date. It was total harassment.. I stated I would see them in court. Had I been gullible or afraid I would have gone for it. Well being a senior doesn't mean a weak minded. Be on your toes people.

DeWitt replaced our roof this fall and we’re really happy with how it turned out. The crew was respectful and cleaned up every day, which we appreciated with pets around. It’s nice knowing the roof is taken care of and we don’t have to worry about it for a long time.

I hired dewitt construction to complete a roof that I had for my home I called all over town and had high quotes 30k plus I reached out to dewitt and they came out and gave me a free estimate with a WAY better price than the rest of the roofing company’s. The crew came out and finished the job and cleaned really good I will book with Dewitt for my future projects for sure!!!

Dewitt installed my driveway. It was beautiful when completed in August 2023. It started crumbling in January 2024. Today it is simply horrible!!!! Unfortunately, l am unable to post pictures. This company does not stand behind their work. They told me that l did not have a warranty on a $20,000 install!!!!!

This company will scam you. They have no communication skills. The work wasn’t done properly to what our contract said to do. If you work with them, get everything single thing in writing as they will lie to get your business. Terrible customer service and a pushy sales team. I do not recommend them.

I just had "THE MOST PLEASANT" construction experience. De Witt's roofing service can only be described as Efficient, Organized, Prompt and Professional. They arrived early to set up the materials then they got straight to work. They were respectful of my property. They even cleaned up after themselves (no nails on the ground) they swept my porch and my back deck where shingles and debris fell. They also cleared the driveway so I didn't have to worry about my tire being punctured. They communicated affectively. I was in awe the entire time. It was truly fascinating seeing how much work actually goes into roofing. I am happy to say I had a worry free experience. De Witt is definitely the company I would recommend to my friend's and family.

First let me say I read all reviews before making my choice. Compared to the rest of the companies that have been around as long as they have I must say I was impressed .I took all that into account and was glad I decided to choose them. They have gone above and beyond and even the owner himself was there every step of the way. The only hiccup was the installers left one window still at the factory and the owner himself went and got it for them so they could continue working on my windows.It was done quicker than I had hoped and will definately be calling them for my next project.

Very good work and the service was great. The crew that came out to do our roof was the best very curious very clean and consulted with me at the beginning of every day the roof looks amazing. This was a stressful process as far as picking the right one for the job but this was the best choice ever. The experience was good and product even better. I was concerned because the price was so reasonable. I will be using them for other projects. You won’t be disappointed

do not use Dewitt construction for your repairs. Last year I hired Dewitt to do repairs to my property damaged by the storm. They were hired to do the roof and interior repairs. They completed the roof but when it came time for the interior they began sending incompetent contractors to repair the inside and the work was not done and Alex the owner failed to send any workers to complete the job. After waiting nine months I had to hire a second contractor. Now Dewitt is threatening me to get paid on a job they didn’t finish. Do not walk away from Dewitt run!!!!!! They have no regards to black women. Stay away from Dewitt!!!!!

Alex kept us up to date when a few days delay happened. They did an amazing job framing in 2 windows because of wood rot in our 1870's farm house. They were in and out in the same day and left the areas cleaner then when they came.

Had my Bay window and my bathroom window checked out today and a quote by Nick. He was very thorough, very straightforward, very kind and understanding of my finances. And I'm looking forward to having my window's done. Buy this company.Thank you so much for his kindness

The Best roofer in town! My homeowners insurance was about to cancel me I needed a new roof! Roof estimates were at 30k plus due to the complexities of my roof! I got low financing, quality work NO MONEY DOWN credit score 600-650! They are Amazing! I wish I could give 10 stars! You can't go wrong with Dewitt! Now as a single mom retired judge on a pension (which is not a lot) I got a roof, that increased the value of my home by 10 percent! The added value of the roof increased my value in my home to over 20k! Thank you Dewitt for working with me and my budget.

I had Dewitt visit us to do a major remodel of a rental property. Nicholas Pickett was recommended by a friend of the family and wow what a difference. The presentation took time, going over every detail. What needed done, why and how we can make it affordable. Dewitt came in 4000$ less than the next nearest quote, AND INCLUDED MORE SERVICES. I basically saved 4000$ AND GOT GUTTERS AND FASCIA FOR FREE. Nick made the decision easy, made financing options a breeze and was absolutely a pleasure to deal with for a single woman who isn't handy I feel I was in fantastic hands all the way. Highly highly highly recommend Dewitt and Nick Packet.

We were fortunate to have an excellent customer service experience. We were sold by Mike and the install crew of Kirk was extremely professional and courteous. Terrible. Couldn’t even get my quote after 2 hours. This guy was disrespectful, pushy, and told me he was going to use my bathroom without asking. I told him twice I needed to leave for something and he proceeds to keep talking, call his boss, and ignore me. I finally told him it was time for him to go. He told me he was busy too and should have been in Redford 45 minutes ago. He finally left. But I was close to calling the police to assist with getting him out.

Horrible experience.

Will never deal with this company.

On fri 2/28/24, they were scheduled to come for gutters job, never showed up, never called, when I called them, I was informed that they cancelled the appt and was told that they don't need to inform me of a cancelation or the reason behind the cancel, that they do the scheduling and have the final word on appointments not me, I informed him that I hired him, I can and will fire him which I did once he started yelling at me over the phone.

This was my 1st project with DeWitt. The workers arrived early and were prepared for the job. A little clarification was needed as to where the insulation was going to go, but after a quick pone call to the office it was straightened out. The workers were efficient and cleaned up well before leaving. I will consider using DeWitt for future home projects.

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They came to my home for an estimate and promised to send me a written estimate the next day, but I never received it. When I called to inquire about the estimate, I was told they could not provide it because my husband wasn’t present. I explained that this was my home before my marriage, but the representative started yelling, saying he didn't care and that they don’t give estimates unless the husband is present.

we gave this company over $3000 in July to replace our windows, they told us 2-3 weeks, as of today 10/23/23 no windows, they promised to come install 3 times but NO SHOW and when called them they hangup on me,

Finally i called them last week and a the same guy i spoke to in the past answered but told me he is the cleaning crew and no on is in the office (11:45AM).

I need my $$ Back in FULL

Mike Jones did my grandmother Shirley’s gutters in July. He was very professional and did a very good job. We need more workers like Mike. She has gotten a lot of comments on how her gutters look. Thanks so much Mike for assisting in making my home look better. -Shirley Rucker

No I do not recommend this company. I wanted the floor of my front porch replaced with new wood. I received cement-ok it was their mistake, not pleased but what am I going to do. The big issue is the support columns and railings-they took them down and said they were not suitable to reuse. (I did discuss that with my salesperson who said they did not need to be replaced, so I decided to keep them). I received no assistance with getting new railings and columns. They said several times that they gave my information to their contacts or subcontractor to call me but to date I have not received a call. I am left on my own to find a company to make and install the new railings. I am sure will take another month to get that job completed. In the meantime, the old railings are still in my yard and wood beams are holding my porch up.

When representative came out for a Quote , I asked about how long before they could get my windows done, he stated they were about two weeks out, I stated good so I decided to put a deposit down based on that information. Well it took more than two weeks it has been at least 8 weeks & no windows. So a representative called on 8/3/23 to set up installation for the 8th At 2:00 pm, I stated I get home about 2:30 so he stated he would let installers know that I would be home around 2:30 no later than 3:00 which was fine. Well no installers came but did call around 3:15 and said they were not coming because they were short of people working and job took longer than expected and that they will call to set up for rescheduling. So I thinking someone would call the next day and apologize and get me right in. Well it is 7 days later still have not heard from them so I called them to cancel This is unacceptable to me when I am spending my money the at least you could have done was called to apologize and reschedule right away. But to not call when we’re you going to call, I have plans I can sit around and wait until it’s convenient for you to give me a call. I’m not dealing with non communicative people.

DO NOT USE DEWITT BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION!! DeWitt Building and Construction is absolutely horrible. They use contractors for projects, which isn’t mentioned upfront. Contractors show up when they want to and DeWitt doesn’t even know what they’re doing. I had to call on 3 separate occasions to figure out when they were supposed to show up and DeWitt thought they were there. The guys that did my roof were quick but messy. They left cigarettes butts everywhere. They also were tasked to reframe my porch post. They did a half poor job. It looked worse than the original wood. I had to go back and seal it myself even though I provided the sealer to them.
As for my windows, they had a 3 man crew that showed up whenever they wanted to. The older gentleman was the most knowledgeable and was teaching the other 2 along the way. My house should not have been used for this as they had 45 windows to replace. Needless to say it took them 4 months to complete the job. When I called DeWitt about a broken window all I got was the runaround. Until this day, a year later, I still have a broken window that they have yet to replace. Their system is so outdated they call me at least once a month to schedule my project not realizing it was completed a year ago. I laugh at them and their system and then mention my broken window and it gets nowhere. Alex Jim Kevin and Vincent are all absolutely horrible. DO NOT USE DeWitt Building and Construction

I got my garage roof done. The company showed up and finished the work in a very short amount of time. the roof looks great. they cleaned up the area and all of their equipment. and with their guarantee i dont have to worry about it for a long time.

Very friendly, honest and punctual about their window services. Easy to get ahold of and very responsive to my questions and concerns. Window install was quick and professional.
